Quaint vegetarian/vegan restaurant... tried out alternative coffee variations there.

Very cozy little vegetarian restaurant. Ambience and staff friendly and attentive. The food is sophisticated and tasty at moderate prices.

Were there as a private party for a private celebration. The facility was officially closed that day. Nevertheless, we were looked after in a very friendly and courteous manner. Based on our experience, we can only recommend a visit during regular opening hours.

The brennNessel restaurant in Dresden impresses with generous portions and a very cozy atmosphere. The warm service and delicious food make the visit highly recommended! In summer you can also sit outside very nicely.

The food was not worth the money. I had to wait for the waiter for about 15 minutes, although several waiters passed by and saw me.

What a gem. The food is delicious. It’s away from the touristy areas and seems to be a local favorite. I had the pumpkin fennel lasagna with oyster mushrooms. The flavors were perfectly balanced.

Yesterday we had dinner in the Nettle in a group of 12 people. The service was great so far, there was only one mistake with a children's meal. The deduction here comes from the waiter's somewhat rude reaction. Drinks were ok, although the lemonades were served in what felt like test tubes. If you're thirsty, you should order two. The food is wonderfully prepared, but unfortunately tastes a bit bland. This can be a subjective impression, but spices were saved on all dishes ordered, which detracted from the overall impression. For dessert we try the white chocolate cream (excellent) and the brownie, which is unfortunately dry and also a bit bland. The ambience is squat (due to the architectural style), but in my opinion it is diminished by the chairs. These were well worn out and after an hour and a half one or two of us had back pain. The bathroom seems a bit old-fashioned. But it was always clean. All in all, it can be improved, but definitely not bad.

The offer is very diverse. The food was super tasty and the portions were generous. Nice cozy atmosphere and really friendly service. I will definitely eat here again!

Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful map. Tomato-zucchini baguette and chilli noodles are highly recommended, the portions are very large. Reservations are necessary to get a spot. This is my second time here and I will definitely come back.

You wouldn't even expect such a nice little and idyllic outdoor area. We liked it very much. Since I have to eat gluten-free, I was even more thrilled that almost all dishes were possible for me. If I lived in Dresden, I would become a regular customer.

Überbackene Aubergine Röllchen waren ein einziger Klumpen und total zerkocht. Käse war am Rand schwarz verbrannt. Das habe ich so in der Brennnessel noch nie erlebt. Meine Vermutung aufgrund der unterschiedlich heißen Temperaturen der Masse kam diese aus der Mikrowelle.! Der fremdländischen Bedienung war unsere Kritik egal bzw. hat sie diese nicht verstanden. Insgesamt sehr enttäuschend.

Wenn man unter der Woche Glück hat einen Tisch zu bekommen so wird man mit hochwertigen Essen belohnt. Speziell für Liebhaber fleischloser Kost eine Empfehlung. Der Hinterhof lädt bei schönem Wetter besonders zu verweilen ein.

Had a wonderful meal here. I ordered the nettle soup and the lentil salad. Both can be ordered vegan and gluten free. The soup was excellent. Anything nettles I'll give a try, and this was hearty, warming and delicious. I went on a chilly windy night, and from the minute i walked in I loved the place. it's cozy and warm, and feels very local, not a tourist destination. it's far enough off of the tourist route, yet close enough to walk to. I went for dinner around 8:30, and left at 9:30. None of the other tables left. it seemed like a place where people go and they stay and chat with each other. Almost like a bar, but it's not a bar. I give it 6 stars for ambiance because of the homey feel, and 7 stars for the food. If you're craving something other than meat, this is a great place to try.

The Brennessel in Dresden is my personal restaurant highlight. I am thrilled by the ambience, the cosiness and quaintness that this restaurant exudes. In autumn and winter you can make yourself comfortable inside and in summer the sheltered outdoor area invites you to linger. The staff is great! Attentive, polite and courteous. You feel very comfortable and well served at all times. The food is seasonal, fresh and, in short, simply incredibly delicious. You feel good straight away after the first bite. There is something for everyone, primarily vegetarian but also vegan and gluten-free. There are also a couple of meat dishes. I recommend making a reservation as it is usually busy. Many thanks to the brennNessel team for the wonderful hours so far and the delicious culinary delights!

With my wife we had the Aubergine Röllchen and the gnocchi Pfanne : both were very tasty. We ordered their alcohol free cocktails as well which were very nice and refreshing. The patio was very welcomed on this warm day. I really recommend this mainly vegetarian address.

Quietly located, the BrennNessel offers a delicious, extensive range of predominantly vegetarian and vegan dishes. The strawberry-avocado salad and the nettle soup were particularly delicious. The in-house “Grasshopper” made from Prosecco (optionally non-alcoholic with mineral water), lime, basil and ginger was also fantastic. Large portions and friendly service. We sat inside, but you can also sit outside.

Unfortunately, the food here looked much better than it tasted. For me it was a total failure, totally dry and strange in taste. Would definitely not eat here again. My companion liked it a little better than me, but she wasn't thrilled either.

A veggie oasis in the middle of Dresden. The vegan "Oriental Lasagna" was simply amazing, the service was super friendly, the historic house is cozy, the coffee was delicious, everything was great - again and again!

Really great. My favorite restaurant in Dresden. The nettle soup is logically A1. It's a shame that people smoke in the courtyard when you eat and have to inhale all the smoke from the neighboring table.

Had dinner here on a Monday afternoon and tried the cauliflower curry mut rice. Plus a sea buckthorn spritzer and an elderberry juice spritzer. The waiting time was acceptable and the food was very tasty. I've now paid ~20€ for one dish and two large drinks, which is totally fine with me. The waiters were nice and chatty and the restaurant courtyard is very quiet and has a calm atmosphere. I can only recommend this restaurant.

Wir sind durch Zufall zu diesem Restaurant gekommen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Vegetarische, nicht alltägliche Gerichte. Vieles auch glutenfrei erhältlich. Die Salatsosse war besonders lecker. Unbedingt reservieren, im Sommer schöner Innenhof.

I can't understand the many top reviews. The staff tries hard, the ambience is quite ok (the rustic little house deserves 4.5 stars, seating and toilets a maximum of 2). We didn't have proper ventilation in the dining room (it felt like it was 80 degrees and there was a sauna infusion), and I had no idea how the place would run in the summer. Unfortunately, the prices quoted do not match the quality of the food at all. The inside of my omelet was completely watery and unseasoned. The quality of the side salad was more at rest stop level. In general, the dishes on offer simply lacked creativity and finesse. It seems more like the chef is still in his vegetarian experimental phase. The "Sprizz" variations are considered to be of rather low quality compared to other restaurants, so the P-L doesn't fit here either. If this is supposed to be the insider meeting of Dresden vegetarians, then I feel really sorry for the (misguided) people. The offer in other cities is much better.

Very nice restaurant. We sat in the back garden...beautiful ambience! The food was really very tasty! So many different flavors. Service was very good :) We sat at the window in front of the bar. Best place! You get your drinks through the window :)

I was only a guest in Dresden and therefore only visited here once, but I am sure that I would be here more often if I lived in Dresden. The pasta with broccoli, sheep's cheese, dried tomatoes and sunflower seeds was super delicious!

The positive first: service and ambience are very positive. The food was middle class in my opinion. Prices contemporary. We had different casseroles, in one the potatoes were too hard and in the other they were overcooked. In all casseroles, a lot of water forms in the bowl, which is due to the preparation and serving in the bowl. On the other hand, when I think of a vegetarian moussakka from the Greek, I get a cutout on a separate plate, which stabs this fact to its core. The creations are like my veggie kitchen at home, rather simply good, home-style, meatless. Creativity is somewhat lacking. Since I couldn't view the menu online, I had to find out on site. But won't be coming back.

We were looking for a good spot for some dinner without having to walk too far from the Hotel Indigo on a national holiday. I noticed this restaurant had a nice beer garden and a menu with some local specialties. The beer was good and the prices reasonable. The servers helped us well and we really liked the food.

If you are a vegetarian lover, then brennNessel is “the” place to go. They have a variety of vegetarian dishes all freshly made and delicious. Highly recommended if you’re a vegetarian fan. Vegan, gluten free options were available

A very nice restaurant offering meat and vegan dishes. An atmospheric, quiet place with the possibility of eating a meal both inside and in the tiny garden. The service was nice, smiling and helpful. The menu is in both German and English. Prices adequate to the quantity and quality of meals. Very filling meals, perfectly seasoned, very tasty. Spicy soup - great. Chicken breast with pasta, arugula and mushroom sauce was simply perfect - the portion was so large that I could barely eat it. When I'm back in Dresden I will 100% come here again. I would highly recommend.

Food delicious. Had beetroot casserole :) Service, young women, fast. Arrived shortly after midday. Not much going on. But many reservations are already on the tables from 5 p.m. Usual city prices ;) Clean and rustic restaurant, in a very beautiful, restored half-timbered house in the heart of Dresden Mitte and all around concrete and glass. Unique :) Maybe the dishes, cutlery and glasses can be improved, if possible ;) Was there at the end of September 2023. See you soon.

We used to love this restaurant very much. But unfortunately it has declined in many areas. We ordered two lemonades this evening (one over €5). We imagined a beautifully prepared lemonade... what we got was more like a glass of spritzer with 3 cubes of ice and torn leaves. The drink was supposed to be a “soft drink,” but it wasn’t cold. After we complained to the waiter we were given a few new glasses similarly prepared. Our dishes were rather tasteless, the noodles were cooked far too soft and, above all, the dishes were GREASY. After just three quarters of a plate I was so sick from all the fat that I didn't finish it. The towel dispenser in the women's toilet was broken so you couldn't dry your hands. It's a shame, we otherwise enjoyed being here so much, as the inner courtyard has something very idyllic about it. As well as the ambience in the interior creates a warm and welcoming impression.

Simply adorable! We, my partner and I, spent a wonderfully unforgettable evening with heavenly culinary creations and very loving service. The menu is fresh, creative, reasonably priced, and we liked the dishes we ordered very much. In our opinion, the food and the preparation here are of very high quality. We both enjoyed it very much. Compliments to the excellent chefs. The entire service staff was extremely friendly to us, not artificial, quick and attentive. Nice, impeccably informed staff. Also the toilets; clean. It's consistently good here. That's why 5 stars and gladly again and again.

Some vegan options available. Ate here twice. Every time the pasta was overcooked and all the dishes were bland and tasteless. I think that the dishes actually sound very good because they are a little more unusual. But the service is very nice. It's best to reserve a place in advance. It's always pretty full.

The Nettle is always worth a visit. We eat here every year when we are in Dresden and the quality has never decreased over the years. Delicious vegetarian dishes that you won't notice that the meat is "missing". The service staff is also super friendly! Always happy to come back.

For us, the best restaurant in the city in a great and cozy atmosphere! There is wonderful food, new creations with seasonal fresh ingredients and the dishes are always freshly prepared. The quantity is always very, very good. So we can only recommend it!

We came to Nettle by chance. The small restaurant is very close to the music college and is hidden in a small side street. The restaurant is small but nice, cozy and you immediately feel at home. Despite our spontaneous visit, we were assigned a table. In our opinion, reservation is definitely necessary or recommended. We both absolutely loved the food: it was uncomplicated, based on home cooking with a certain sophistication. There is something for every taste. Kudos to the chefs! The service staff is courteous, attentive and extremely friendly. We'd love to come back!

The restaurant advertises itself as a vegetarian restaurant, but meat is also served. As convinced eaters of vegetarian cuisine, we felt deceived. When I choose a vegetarian restaurant as a guest, I expect meat-free cuisine. Food was okay, but we were missing something special. Prices are high for what it ultimately is.
