Altes Wettbüro in Dresden

We spontaneously decided to go there on Friday during our stay in Dresden. Wow! Super friendly staff, great relaxed atmosphere. A varied and interesting menu. The food was fantastic, both visually and in terms of taste.

I was thrilled!!! In every respect, especially with the food and the menu.

The summer garden is super beautiful, the dishes are very creative, but everything is delicious and always fresh! Even though the place was packed, the service was excellent; we didn't have to wait long for our food, and all 18 people at the table got it at the same time. A 100% recommendation!

A lovely beer garden. The food was a bit extravagantly described on the menu, but it wasn't really special, just different—you could even say it was modern. My salmon was good, but the side dishes were odd. The waiters were all really busy, but when a guest raises their hand to signal that the order is theirs, they have to put up with some rude comments from the waiters. I find that inappropriate. We still had a wonderful evening.

We've been here several times, but last time we were unfortunately disappointed with the food. Everything tasted a bit thrown together, especially the vegetarian dishes.

A very pleasant atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, a feast for the eyes, and delicious food, too. Even the little ones are catered for with a small sandpit with excavators and water.

If you like something special, Greer is the right choice. I deducted one point for the meal because the pear salad had too much sugar for me.

We were surprised by how great the beer garden is. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It's really good. We would definitely recommend it.

We come here often and enjoy it. Today was especially nice because they were hosting a summer festival. Admission was free, the food was excellent, even for vegetarians and vegans. The prices were very fair, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. There was also face painting for the kids and top-quality live music, and there were great people everywhere and a great atmosphere. Thank you for making our evening so enjoyable, dear team at "Altes Wettbüro"!

A beautiful garden for relaxing in the shade on hot days. The menu is modest, but the food is fresh and beautifully prepared.

Our friend has a peanut allergy, and she ordered food - it wasn't mentioned ANYWHERE on the menu, but luckily she noticed quickly. First of all, it's really stupid that it wasn't noted. To top it all off, this incredibly cheeky, impudent waitress says she should tell us beforehand. SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO, learn your job, you as a restaurant should make this clear. Incredibly unprofessional. Never again in this shitty place.

Fine dining, a relaxed atmosphere, and excellent service. The Mahr's Kellerbier from Bamberg is delicious. What more could you want? We were lucky enough to get a table for two without a reservation. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Dresden!

An idyllic summer garden with always friendly staff and a changing menu. Only partially recommended for little ones if they prefer fries instead of pasta. But the robber's plate helps.

I really liked the restaurant and the design of Biergarten. The menu is small, but the cooking is simply amazing! The emphasis on the originality of the dishes and the restaurant can only be applauded. The atmosphere is also beyond praise. I want to note that I left my bag with all the documents and money in the evening. The restaurant staff took care of it and returned it safe and sound the next day. Many thanks to them for this and I recommend this place to everyone!

Very nice, quiet, and not too cluttered beer garden, a small but fine menu, and the ingredients were noticeably fresh (I had asparagus, and I know my stuff). A delicious selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, not a monotonous tofu. I'd love to come back and try the wine list.

A very cozy atmosphere meets a high-quality menu. The food is beautifully presented, tastes delicious, and gives the impression of a Michelin-starred restaurant. The staff are super friendly, fast, and dedicated. We weren't left without food for a minute, and we were asked several times how we were satisfied. That's what you want. 🙏 The prices are certainly high. It's also difficult to find a seat without a reservation. If you make a reservation and are willing to spend a little more for good food, you can have a wonderful evening here.

Rustic, cozy ambiance...very friendly service...excellent food. Not exactly cheap...but you're happy to pay for everything. It's best to order in advance...because it gets packed in the evenings.

I like the shop and have been coming here for a long time. Today, however, was the biggest low point when the waitress went to the table in an imperative mood and in a bad mood and asked us like a teacher to listen when she said something. She had simply forgotten who ordered which drink. Our group was chatting and friends were exchanging ideas. Then there was silence and confusion as to whether the announcement was actually meant seriously. If it wasn't a birthday round, I would have canceled my order and left. The waitress acted as if she were the nanny and we were the after-school children. You've lost everyone at the table as a future guest. I don't go to a restaurant to get bullied.

Hip restaurant in Dresden Neustadt with fine cuisine. In summer there is a nice garden area behind the restaurant. Easily accessible on foot by public transport.

Habíamos hecho una reserva y teníamos la dirección, pero era un poco difícil de creer que había un restaurante en esa dirección. Pero cuando entramos, nos recibió una ola de calor y ruido feliz y mucha gente pasándolo muy bien. La comida y el servicio eran buenos, pero el ambiente era lo que lo hacía especial.

Waren an einem Freitag Abend im schönen Garten des Wettbüro. Nicht nur das Ambiente ist urban - wunderbar, auch der Sevice, sowie das Essen waren prima. Toll dargeboten, sehr authentisch! Einfach nett ! Jederzeit wieder!

Very nice summer garden with a wonderful green atmosphere. Very inviting and a quiet atmosphere thanks to the side street location. The choice of food was (at least in the week we were there) quite unusual and exotic. Probably because I couldn't classify the newfangled terms, I unfortunately ordered a cold main course as the dish of the day, which was unfortunately really disappointing. The shop is very popular even during the week, which is why I highly recommend making a reservation. The prices were quite high but many locals recommend the “old betting shop”.

Place is beautiful. The service is absolutely disastrous. We waited 1.5 hours for our food and only received flippant answers to our questions. Furthermore, ice cubes were charged for €1 for a bill of €300. Good advice, don't go there. The food isn't special either. 👎👎👎

Schöne Location, aber katastrophaler Service, Haben 1,5 Stunden auf unsere Bestellung gewartet und dann noch unverschämte Antworten bekommen. Essen ist mittelmäßig. Eine Filetscheibe roh die andere durch. Absolute Frechheit Eiswürfel wurden mit 1 € berechnet bei einer Rechnung von über 300 €

Very tasty food that is unfortunately marred by the lack of an allergen list. You have to trust that the (very good kitchen) will mix the right things and that no surprises will happen afterwards (spoiler: the people don't work according to the instructions when it comes to allergens, thank you). The law requires a printed card, but this is only handwritten and, as mentioned at the beginning, cannot be relied upon. The staff themselves are lively, but they also smoke right next to the guests. Difficult to recommend.

Been here 6 times and it's always been extremely good. The menu changes regularly and all dishes are very well put together. Good wines, good service. will come back often in the future

The old betting office offers changing weekly menus with new cuisine that focuses on very varied vegan, vegetarian and overall sustainable cuisine. There is also something meaty or fish, but the direction of view is clear. This deserves great praise, especially since the result is tasty. The wine selection is also excellent and worth trying. The ambience of the dining tables arranged outside in the garden is unique in Dresden and consists of small, green niches and corners. You can endure it. We come here regularly. The price level is pleasantly sophisticated and by no means excessive.

Wir haben nach einer Googlesuche dieses Restaurant gefunden,als wir im Urlaub ein Restaurant fürs Abendessen gesucht haben. Man betritt das Restaurant über einen Biergarten.Wir hatten nicht reserviert und bekamen dennoch freundlich einen Tisch angeboten.Wir haben ein vegetarisches und ein Fleischgericht bestellt und uns ein Dessert geteilt.Das Essen war sensationell lecker und kreativ zubereitet worden.Wir waren sehr zufrieden.Unbedingt zu erwähnen,waren auch die freundlichen Mitarbeiter/innen.Das rundete das tolle Restauranterlebnis ab.Wir kommen gern wieder.

For dessert, I opted for the panna cotta with strawberry. The panna cotta itself was smooth and delicious, but the chocolate chips were a bit of a distraction. The sweetness of the chocolate overpowered the delicate flavor of the panna cotta and the strawberries. I would recommend enjoying this dessert without the chocolate chips to truly appreciate the fresh flavors.

Excellent and inventive cooking leading to delighted cries of ooh! and ah1 as we tucked into it. To start I chose a salad with beluga lentils. These were new to me, but really do bear a remarkable similarity to beluga caviar, and were quite delicious Then I had a generous portion of tender ox cheeks, accompanied, among other things, by a roulade of potato and olives - also quite new to me, and just the right thing to go with the meat. Nice Grauburgunder from the short wine list. Seemingly not much choice for dessert, but we were in any case happily replete. Charming and helpful service. Prices surprisingly low for the quality on offer. Our one regret was that we chose to eat inside rather than in the pretty garden as a storm threatened.
