Das Essen war sehr gut, der Service 10/10.

Die Bedingung ist sehr freundlich gewesen und zuverlässig. Das Essen was wir bestellt haben war sehr lecken und ausreichend. Wir würden auf jedenfalls öfters hingehen

Kurz und knapp: Unvorbereitet, Stammgrieche hatte Urlaub und in der Nähe zu diesem das Restaurant Athos getestet. Der Service war sehr sehr gut und schnell, leider kann dies die Qualität und Preis/ Leistung nicht wirklich gut machen. Wir haben bisher 13 griechische Restaurants in und um Leipzig getestet. Getränke: Bier - war okay 👌🏼, Essen: Lammkoteletts, Pommes, Bohnen und Bifteki, Metaxasauce mit Knoblauch Kartoffeln. Zum 1. Lammkoteletts 4 STK. relativ gut, die Pommes waren zu wenig. Zu 2. Bifteki nicht selbst gemacht und es war auch kein Feta Käse. Die Metaxasauce war nicht selbst gemacht, keine Paprika dran und nicht schmackhaft. Die Knoblauch Kartoffeln relativ okay aber ohne sichtbaren Knoblauch vermutlich nur Gewürzt und ohne Öl. Der Salat war mit auf dem Teller lieblos, keine Tomaten Gurken oder Oliven drauf und ohne etwas Öl. Auf Nachfrage Salz und Pfeffer bekommen. Alles sehr enttäuschend, aber das Publikum dort kennt es wohl nicht anders und der Laden war voll. Die Rechnung bei Barzahlung war nur eine Preisangabe, ergo nichts auf Papier um nachzuvollziehen was wirklich berechnet wurde. Das ganze müssen wir leider als den vorletzten "Griechen" (es ging noch mal schlimmer aber da der Service) bezeichnen. Unerklärlich das da jemand hin geht, aber das Ortspublikum kommt wohl nicht weiter raus aus ihrem Dorf. Wir werden dieses Restaurant definitiv meiden, da gibt's alles sehr viel besser und das auch noch preiswerter.

Diese Gaststätte ist einfach fantastisch! Schon beim Betreten fällt auf, wie gemütlich es hier ist – man fühlt sich sofort rundum wohl und willkommen. Das Essen ist ein absoluter Traum und schmeckt bei jedem Besuch wieder auf Top-Niveau. Man merkt sofort, dass hier allerhöchste Priorität auf die Qualität der Produkte gelegt wird – frisch, hochwertig und einfach lecker! 👍 Auch der Service verdient ein riesiges Lob: Die Bedienung ist unfassbar aufmerksam, herzlich und liest einem jeden Wunsch sprichwörtlich von den Lippen ab. Für mich eine klare 11/10! Wir kommen definitiv immer wieder gerne hierher. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Also das Restaurant ist eigentlich Geschmacklich sehr lecker aber die Portionen sind echt klein was man bei einem Griechischen Restaurant nicht erwartet. War etwas länger nicht mehr da aber einen Besuch lohnt es sich trotzdem da die Bedienung und das Ambiente sehr gut ist. Also außer der Wenigkeit des Essens ist es ein gutes Restaurant. (Manche Gerichte sind nicht so gut wie andere)

Ich finde es super, das man hier die Champions League sehen kann.

Ich hatte ein wirklich tolles Erlebnis im Athos. Das Essen war frisch und sehr schmackhaft, und die Portionen waren großzügig. Das Personal war freundlich und wir fühlten uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen. Die Atmosphäre ist entspannt und gemütlich, was das Restaurant zu einem schönen Ort macht, um Zeit mit Freunden oder der Familie zu verbringen. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

Geschmacklich ein gutes griechisches Restaurant. Die Bedienung war freundlich und das Ambiente war auch angenehm. Wir hatten einen gelungenen Abend. In Leipzig hat Montags alles zu, aber hier war geöffnet und wir haben es nicht bereut.

Das Essen in diesem Restaurant kommt relativ schnell, ist lecker und auch die Portionsgrößen sind absolut ausreichend, zudem ist das Personal überaus freundlich und es herrscht eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, auch die Preise sind wirklich fair. Ich kann dieses Restaurant absolut empfehlen.

Wir sind da seit 6 Jahren Stammkunden. Wenn wir griechisch essen gehen, dann hier. Das Essen ist immer gleichbleibend lecker. Die Qualität stimmt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es passt einfach alles. Das Lokal ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Waren heute das erste Mal dort und das noch zum 75.Geburtstag von Mama.Leider waren wir gar nicht begeistert.Salat waren nur Blätter als Vorspeise und Hauptgericht Leber (die wir lieben beim Griechen)war wirklich nicht gut.Fuer uns leider kein Wiederholungsfaktor.Srry

Der beste Grieche bei dem ich bisher war. Preis Leistung spitze. Das Personal ist auch sehr nett. Das Essen qualitativ sehr sehr lecker.

Leider keine fünf Sterne, Service und Ambiente stimmen, aber leider ist das Essen nicht mit der Qualität anderer Restaurants in Nähe wie in der Riesaer Str zu vergleichen. E

Erstklassige Silvesterfeier 2025/2026 im ATOS war ein voller Erfolg! Super Sitzplatz, sehr aufmerksame Bedienung und Getränke (inkl. Ouzo und Sekt) in Hülle und Fülle. Die Musik (70er/80er/90er Schlager) hat zum Tanzen eingeladen, und die Tanzeinlage des Inhabers und seines Teams war ein echtes Highlight. Auch die Gäste haben ordentlich für Stimmung gesorgt ... 😊 Wir sind gut ins Neujahr 2026 gestartet. ✅

I've eaten a lot of Greek food, and gyros is my favorite. But this surpasses everything. The gyros was exactly as I imagined it, perfectly cooked, I couldn't get enough, it was delicious. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommended.

We went with Tina's family, it was Christmas or New Year's...very nice, warm, very good food, I was full. Special.

We often go to Athos but this time we were disappointed. We had a family celebration with 15 people and the service was not good at all. The waitress was completely overwhelmed, drinks came after half an hour, and the food took over 2 hours despite having children. Here too, the quality this time was not comparable to usual. Everything was rather mediocre. We'll try again next weekend and if it isn't better, we'll look for a new restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic food. Homemade pita, tzatziki.

I came here with friends because we were in the mood for Greek food. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a pleasant atmosphere. The lamb platter for €29 was tasty, but a bit small for the price. However, I found a still water for €4.80 quite steep. Overall, a nice evening, but there's definitely room for improvement.

It has always been very tasty there and the portions were sufficient. We like going there 😊

This was our second time here in eight days. The dishes are delicious. We had breaded zucchini with tzatziki as a starter, and today we both had beef liver with fried potatoes as our main courses. It was delicious. Great, fast, and friendly service. See you next time. 😊

Very tasty food, attentive and friendly service

Reservations are recommended on weekends. Very friendly staff. The food is hot and delicious. We always enjoy going there.

We visited here because our regular Greek restaurant was on annual vacation. Beautiful restaurant, large outdoor seating, friendly staff. Yes...unfortunately, no welcome ouzo, even after asking nicely. The starter was okay, but the drinks were served late. The main courses were okay. The salad plate and side salad were weak and boring. So, overall, not a good plan "B." We're already looking forward to returning to our regular Greek restaurant in the neighboring town—where we've been completely satisfied for years.

Everything is just right here. Super delicious. Always worth a spontaneous visit. I love going there.

I've eaten here once and have only been coming here ever since. Other Greek restaurants in Leipzig don't stand a chance with us 😀 Fresh food, friendly service, fast and extremely courteous service, fair prices - what more could you want?! A visit here is always worthwhile and highly recommended 😉

Unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible to get into the restaurant. Then you have to wait for the warm days to eat in outdoor lighting. Which is worth it given the offer. The staff is also very friendly and on the ball. There are no long waiting times. I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

This was my second time in this house with my son and I have to say that everything was perfect. The Suflaki was prepared to perfection and the gyros were tender and perfectly seasoned. If we are in Leipzig again, we will definitely come back 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Quietly located but still easily accessible. Very tasty and rich food as well as friendly service. Everyone enjoyed it very much and we had Uozo first.

Was here in a cozy group. Had a Greek plate with gyros and souvlaki. Unfortunately there was no salad plate and it wasn't particularly tasty. The price isn't right for that.

Just perfect. Were invited to a funeral feast there. Great food. Great service. Open especially for us at lunchtime. I'm thrilled. Definitely coming back. Thank you.

Delicious food, even if it was pretty full

We have never eaten Greek so well and we like to go to Greek restaurants often. The lamb fillet was cooked perfectly medium rare and that is an absolute masterpiece, no steakhouse could have done it better!

Very nice restaurant with a family atmosphere The food tasted excellent, in a very tasteful atmosphere. The owner family is very friendly and obliging when dealing with the guests. We cannot agree with some of the reviews; the portion sizes of the starter and main course were more than adequate. We will definitely come back here as soon as we stay in Leipzig again.👍

Very nice atmosphere, only the chairs/armchairs in the outdoor area are uncomfortable. The food wasn't great. The liver was hard except for 1 piece. The dressing on the salad...boring or totally without it. Nevertheless, we had a nice evening.

Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not satisfactory. Very expensive for what is offered. Food was little and cold. Fries may have been lying around a little longer. It was my last visit here.

My friend and I were in Leipzig for the first time because of work and we were very satisfied. The food was very tasty. We had the farmer's salad, the breaded feta and the rump steak. The service was also very good and, above all, all the employees were very friendly. We are glad we found this restaurant!

Waited over an hour for the food.

The service is great and everything went very quickly. We've eaten here a few times and have always been satisfied. My personal recommendation is the gourmet salad. Simply wonderfully fresh and delicious.

I have rarely experienced such bad food. Chicken fillet is molded meat and the Bifteki minced meat with sheep's cheese was actually half-raw minced meat without sheep's cheese. Next time I'll buy a can of Chappi, I'll be better off. The starter also didn't taste good at all. So stay away from the shop

Aside from the location right on the street, we thought we'd give it a chance. But even for the food, which was really minimalistic for these prices, a star was deducted. For other side dishes, which were even less than those specified, a price increase of €2 was made. We accepted that too and didn't let it bother us. However, the waiter's audacity was at the end of our stay. We wanted to pay by card, the waiter was there quickly, but the price of the meal was already entered in the device. We then asked for a bill. When the bill came a few minutes later, I realized that the waiter had simply typed a higher amount into the device than the bill corresponded to... Here it would probably be appropriate and desirable if you as a guest You can decide the tip amount yourself! Simply charging a different amount without a comment is very bold! This was our last visit with you!

Had dinner this evening and found the food very good, as well as the price-performance ratio (Bifteki with Metaxa sauce €16.90, large beer under €5), others are much more expensive. The service was all very friendly, so I can appreciate the reviews from some don't understand, will definitely come back.

Update 04.2024: Quality and quantity decreased. We order for pickup every few months. The quantity is decreasing. The portion of fries in particular was a joke recently. When we last ordered for collection on April 12th/7:00 p.m., our gratinated Gyros Metaxa and the gratinated pork medallions were barely baked and everything was light, limp and chewy, see pictures. // Original review: Food can also be ordered and taken away. And it's ready super quickly and tastes just like it does in the restaurant. Atmosphere pleasant, waiters friendly, you are practically drunk on ouzo ;) - Really great here!

Unfortunately I have to agree with the other reviews here. We used to enjoy eating here and ordering a lot of take-away, but now the quality and quantity have simply declined. For the price I can't understand it. We've noticed this a few times now and have now decided not to eat here anymore. A pity.

Was once my favorite Greek. Unfortunately the food was very poor. Garlic bread and a slice of toast. Tzatziki without garlic flavor. Salt the gyros too much. With the ouzo plate there was an ouzu. Saved. Better go to the Greek in Mölkau. Everything is still ok there. I'm not sponsored. Is my honest opinion. Everyone can try it out for themselves.

Always very tasty. I can only recommend it. The Athos potatoes taste particularly delicious as a side dish.

Ordered a table on the phone, didn't want a name and hung up 😕. Waiters were nice. Food came quickly. Kinderschnitzel was a finished product. Chicken with Metaxa sauce was bad. Meat not through. Without taste. Then it's better to go back to the professional in Grimma.

Nice restaurant unfortunately only older people there

A very nice ambience created a very cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was disappointing, it had a very bland taste and the souzoukaki didn't taste good at all. The price is reasonable and the staff is very friendly. We are not considering a second visit.

In terms of food, in my opinion the best Greek in the area, we were never disappointed. All employees always friendly. I like to be here or order something to eat to pick up at home. 👍🏼

Bester, bester Grieche! Einmal Athos, immer Athos. Pflicht sind Pita mit Tzatziki und die (milden) gegrillten Peperoni zur Vorspeise, super sind auch Saganaki (panierter Feta) und das Knoblauchbrot... Ein Knaller die Knoblauchkartoffeln... Und jedes Hauptgericht! Das Hähnchen butterzart, die Metaxasoße hammer lecker... Jeder, den wir hier einmal mit hin genommen haben, hat den "Stammgriechen" gewechselt.

Wir waren vor kurzem zum Abendessen zu Gast. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und auch sehr zügig. Ebenso zügig wurde das Essen serviert. Es sah sehr lecker aus, jedoch empfanden wir es als sehr geschmacksarm. Beim Bifteki hatte der Käse leider den meisten/einzigen Geschmack abgegeben. Das Ambiente war aber hübsch anzusehen mit netten Verzierungen in der Wand und einem kleinen Bogen als Übergang zum nächsten Raum. Wir würden dennoch gerne zum späteren Zeitpunkt eine zweite Chance geben und nochmal wiederkommen.

Wir waren zum Mittagessen da. Das essen war leider nur Lauwarm =( , auch waren wir der Meinung das Suflaki und Schweine Medaillons nicht ein und das gleiche sind , man hätte besser kenntlich machen sollen ,es sah beides gleich aus und schmeckte auch Identisch , schade aber wir nehmen stark an das somit auf Der Platte 88. Dionissios etwas gefehlt hatte. Auch wenn der Nette Kellner darauf hinwies das dem nicht so sei. Schade aber wir werden nicht wieder kommen.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Servicemitarbeiter sehr nett. Wir wären gern noch länger geblieben aber wir hatten das Gefühl, dass wir gehen sollten. Es war 22 Uhr.

Leckeres Essen sogar noch Sonntag auch als wir kurz vor 14 Uhr erst kamen. Das bekommt man nicht überall.

Leider hat man den Eindruck, dass die Speisen schon fertig auf dem Teller vorbereitet auf ihre Bestellung warten. Selbst und frisch zubereitet wirkt das Essen leider nicht. Auch die Liebe zum Detail fehlte von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert. Nachfragen kommen zwischendurch keine und weitere Getränke bestellen...schwierig. Service sollte hier noch geübt werden. Für einen 2. Besuch definitiv ein nein. Schade!
