Best burgers in town. I've tried many burgers, but this was by far the best. Great service.

Smashed burger and fries were great, they actually arrived crispy and fresh, but I don't live far from the store. The banh was also incredibly tasty, even though I don't like coriander that much, the people in the kitchen know their stuff, the order came quickly despite it being a Saturday evening, I'd be happy to do it again.

Very fine food, small selection, but very tasty. Absolutely friendly service and you sit very nicely.

Service with the question: Which rolls do you use here or is the meat fresh or frozen must be researched first. Are not convinced of the quality here. Our burger was rather cold and somehow not freshly prepared. The citizen's patty was more of a toe and wasn't great. No enthusiasm at the neighboring table either. Complaint to service: “I’ll pass it on.”

Small but nice, that's where the "Pop" comes from. The menu is clearly laid out, which means you don't have to spend a long time scrolling through the menu. My double beef burger was served with hand-pressed patties on a slate plate - visually great! Tastes even better! Plus crispy and not too salty fries that didn't look like a finished product. Sweet highlight: a "handmade" tart for dessert - delicious! You have to plan on waiting a bit for your food - everything is freshly prepared. Super-friendly service staff take care of the guests' needs in the dining room and also in the outdoor seating area. It is located directly on a busy main street (including a tram lane), which gives the ambience a negative point.

I've eaten a few banh mis in my life, but it always tastes best with paps ♥️

Best street food shop in Leipzig

If you're looking to blow your life savings on something truly worth it, Paps in Connewitz is your new financial nemesis. The burgers are so good you'll consider taking out a second mortgage just to keep the deliciousness flowing. And the staff? Let’s just say they’re so charming you might accidentally propose by dessert. Five stars, one empty wallet, but a full heart!

We sat in the outdoor area and there was immediately water for the dogs, the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, an order was missed, but an apology was later apologized and the correct food came promptly. The food was delicious, but today there were only specials, which extremely limited the choice for vegetarian/vegan diets. We ordered anyway and although we weren't disappointed with the taste, we were disappointed with the portion sizes. 10€ for a relatively small burger and 10€ for two small tacos... we won't be coming back 🤷🏻‍♀️

Everything perfect, fast service, relaxed atmosphere and very tasty food. Smashed Burger was really cool and as it should be. The Banh Mi sandwich was also very tasty. I can only recommend.

Relaxed place to stay. The place was well attended and the smash burger tasted very good, the sauce and patty were very well coordinated. Better than on the Karli. The bun with pork belly was also very tasty. The Banh Mi for €14 was a bit off-putting, so I didn't try it.

Wow! Inconspicuously placed in Connewitz. I wonder why you don't have an outpost with such good food. Sandwiches, burgers...everything is great!

I cannot rate this place highly enough. High-end food, served by super-friendly staff, cooked by incredibly talented chefs, in a fun and casual atmosphere, surrounded by cool people with smiles on their faces. Once you go Paps, you always go back!

The food is pretty good, but doesn't live up to the hype. We drove halfway across the city for a burger (tasty but not the best in Leipzig) and a chicken sandwich (basically tastes like a good kebab without onion) and wouldn't do it again. If you're nearby, it's definitely a good idea. P.S.: one of the employees uses the word 'wunderbest' excessively and I have no idea how to deal with it.

Top 5 food spots in Leipzig! Everything on the menu is super delicious. Wontons are second to none. Smashed burger really strong. And banh mi anyway. Just ate tacos (see picture). Also a dream! And of course there are draft beer and other fine drinks. All of the employees are extremely friendly. Simply beautiful there :) 100% recommend!

We really wanted to try the smashed burger and were not disappointed. The patties were super crispy at the edges and all the ingredients in the burger were perfectly balanced. We also ordered fries and wonton snacks and enjoyed them too. The waitresses were also super nice and accommodating.

OMG that was delicious today! We had burrata sandwich, banh mi sandwich and fries. When we come to Leipzig again, a visit here is a must!

Very small, cozy restaurant... it's worth making a reservation, and there are also seats outside in the summer. Price/performance unbeatable - absolute recommendation for the smashed burgers!

Hey guys, today we ordered food to pick up from paps again, we had cheeseburgers and fries, plus the wantan in chilli oil, the fries were super crispy yet juicy on the inside. The wantan were super fresh and spicy, but like last time, the double smash cheese burgers were absolutely amazing, you won't find such a good burger in Leipzig at the moment. Stay true to yourself and keep it up. We'd love to come back 🥰

A small and cozy restaurant! The burgers are very tasty and not too big, so you don't have to miss out on starters and dessert.

Good food, unfortunately a bit too greasy in our opinion. The staff was super friendly. The prices are a bit high.

Nice shop, friendly staff and fast service. However, the food (burgers with fries) wasn't very tasty. The meat was dry and partly burnt.

The 0.5 liter beer was both warm and, fortunately, not completely filled to the top. And you could easily cancel the ordered food after an hour. A pity.

On the first warm day of the year, warm Spaten from tap is also served. After an hour, fries, sandwich and wonton were still not in sight. The cancellation worked wonderfully because the order still hadn't been cooked.

All sandwiches are completely different - that's very cool, plus they're all delicious. Quick preparation. Unfortunately, prices have risen significantly, so they are now way too expensive for “just” sandwiches.

The Paps is the address for homemade sandwiches! The homemade bread is amazing! We recommend!

Super tasty burgers and sandwiches :)

Unfortunately, the taste was a flop for me (no salt, no seasoning, no spiciness, just vegetables in a thick piece of bread, I had to constantly drink to get it down) and the price was too high. In addition, slate slabs that are far too small and sticky tables. Was here because of the good reviews but it doesn't have to be again.

We stumbled into the shop by chance and met the owner. Super correct guy. We were only in Leipzig for a weekend and he gave us great tips. The food and drinks here were so good that we went again the next day. I have rarely eaten such good sandwiches. Next time I'm in Leipzig, I'll definitely go here again!

I haven't had such a good vegetarian burger in a long time. The atmosphere is very cozy and the service is very friendly. I will come more often now.

The Smashburger was amazing - highly recommended, the staff was really nice and the atmosphere is very inviting - the only point of criticism is the space (you MUST reserve).

Cozy little bar with super tasty sandwiches - especially the Burrata Sandwich and the Toasted Chicken Sandwich. The service could have been a little more attentive and friendly, but everything else was great. The price-performance ratio is ok (at least €14 for a sandwich), but you will definitely be full and the taste is really good and just something different than the “usual sandwiches”.

Absolutely recommended, finally a really good burger in Leipzig. But the fries and wontons were also brilliant. And all at a very good price. The selection of drinks is also great for the size of the store. However, the store has relatively few seats, which creates a pleasant and cozy atmosphere.

Very good sandwich and the burgers are also very good. Simple and without a lot of fancy frills, but best quality and taste experience. It is advisable to reserve.

I tried the vegetarian single smash burger at the Christmas market in Plant 2 and I was thrilled.

Attracted by the extremely positive reviews, we visited Paps. After eating in some of the best burger shops in Germany (Goldies, BBB, etc.), our expectations were actually almost impossible to fulfill due to the extremely positive reviews here. Good smash burgers are rare - especially in Leipzig - and so we were more than curious. And how happy we are that our expectations were met and even significantly exceeded. The perfect visit began with the absolutely perfect and friendly service. It's very rare to see it in this form. The ambience is appropriate to the concept. And then came the burgers: perfectly fried patty with a crispy surface, simple but perfectly fitting sauces, onion and cucumber and of course cheese - there's nothing more that needs to be added to a perfect smash burger. And the bun is absolutely perfect too. Soft, buttery - just a perfect match to the rest. You can tell that people with passion work here - whether in the kitchen or in the service! In my search for the best burger in Germany, the bar is now a lot higher for me! And the prices are more than reasonable considering the quality. Many thanks to the Paps team for this outstanding experience!

I've been to a lot of very good Smash Burger shops all over Germany. But this Classic Double Cheese made it incredibly close to number 1, if not higher. I can only recommend everyone to eat here. One of the best burgers of my life, just WOW!

We got burgers and sandwiches to take away from Paps. The burgers were really awesome, simple without a lot of frills but really, really good. The chicken sandwich was also very good and a different creation. Really recommended!

Super leckere vegetarische Smashburger! Und die veganen Wantans waren auch sehr empfehlenswert. Für Samstag sollte auf jeden Fall reserviert werden, da es im Resturant selber wenig Platz gibt.

Wir haben im Paps sehr gut gegessen und wurden sehr freundlich, höflich und schnell bedient. Das vegane und das Burrata Sandwich war lecker, die Zutaten haben toll harmoniert und der Preis war komplett angemessen. Wirklich ein Genuss und eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.

Unglaublich leckere Sandwiches. Der Preis ist völlig in Ordnung und man bekommt wirklich was ganz besonderes. Alles frisch und fein abgeschmeckt und man wird aufjedenfall gut satt davon. Außerdem endlich Mal ein Laden in dem gute Musik läuft.

Unglaublich tolles, kleines Restaurant. Haben den geduldigen, mit Kindern sehr liebevollen, aufmerksamen Service echt genossen. Unsere Wan Tan Suppen (1vegan +1Fleisch) waren ausgesprochen gut!! Schon lange nicht mehr derart lecker Außerhalb gegessen. Frischer Koriander, Pak choi und geröstete Mandeln zierten, Teigtaschen, welche in einer scharfe Sauce mit Chiliflocken lagen. Die Kombination war köstlich! Unbedingt zu empfehlen. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch.

We visited Leipzig for almost two weeks, when we went out for food my kids and I agreed that we will go to “Paps”. We went multiple times because we love the ambiance and food. My kids agreed “Paps” has the best cheeseburger ever, we live in the United States and they have tried lots of cheeseburgers before. We likewise love the Wan Tan Soup, for my kids adjusted without the spices. I was amazed by the delicious sandwiches which are incredibly fresh and tasty, and yes, I tried them all. We can't wait to come back one day!
