Spontaneously got a table for three people, certain drinks from the menu were not available, ordered Metaxa menu, the meat was dry and the liquid didn't taste like Metaxa, only cream and cheese, salad consists of lettuce leaves and carrots and dressing like from the supermarket, beer - Hefeweizen was like a diluted USO, only available upon request. Waiter smoked behind the bar. Hospitality was non-existent.

Phone reserved for 6 p.m., had the impression everything had to happen quickly! No comfort. We couldn't order dessert and were asked to give up the table for the next guests 🫤 But the food was very tasty. It's a shame we were looking for a restaurant for a cozy evening!

The furnishings are very old-fashioned and not at all contemporary, everything is very crowded. The entire restaurant should be renovated. The leg of lamb was tasty but overpriced and the gyros were fresh but quite over-seasoned. The service was very quick and very friendly.

Because of the different reviews, we were excited to see what awaited us and to say it straight away: We didn't regret it. We liked the atmosphere. Especially the chairs as we know them from Greece. A little small for me (190cm) and a little uncomfortable, so typical tavern chair :-). Otherwise, lots of Christmas fun. The service was friendly and quick. At the beginning there was an ouzo from the house. As a starter we had fried eggplant and zucchini, which were tasty, but a bit too expensive at €9.90. The main course was souflaki and a mixed platter (souvlaki, gyros and souzukakia). The souflaki was a bit firm, but otherwise the food was OK.

Wir waren im Restaurant Athen, weil der andere Grieche schräg gegenüber im November geschlossen war. Wir haben zum Glück spontan noch einen Tisch für 3 Personen bekommen. Relativ schnell kam der Salat (Eisbergsalat + Möhre), die Vorspeise und dann auch sehr schnell die Hauptspeise. Das gegrillte Bifteki war leider sehr schwarz und an manchen Stellen bitter. Die schwarzen Stellen musste ich entsprechend abschneiden. Das Hähnchen-Filet mit Metaxa-Sauce war leider sehr schlecht. Es war eher eine Paprika-Zwiebel-Sauce statt Metaxa-Sauce. Und leider hat das Hähnchen einen merkwürdigen Geschmack gehabt. Wir haben den Teller stehen lassen. Beim Abräumen war der Kellner etwas über den vollen Teller verwundert, hat sich aber nicht erkundigt, warum. Das Ambiente sieht auf den ersten Blick okay, auf den zweiten Blick abgenutzt. Der Kellner machte einen mürrischen Eindruck. Ihm schien alles zu viel zu sein. PS: Das war der erste Grieche bei dem weder am Anfang noch am Ende der Mahlzeit einen Ouzo bekommen habe. PPS: 0,4l Sprite sind teurer als 0,5l Bier

We went to the Athens restaurant because the other Greek restaurant across the street was closed in November. Luckily we spontaneously got a table for 3 people. The salad (iceberg lettuce + carrot), the starter and then the main course arrived relatively quickly. Unfortunately, the grilled bifteki was very black and bitter in some places. I had to cut off the black areas accordingly. The chicken fillet with Metaxa sauce was unfortunately very bad. It was more of a pepper and onion sauce instead of Metaxa sauce. And unfortunately the chicken had a strange taste. We left the plate standing. When clearing away the waiter was a bit surprised that the plate was full, but didn't ask why. The ambience looks okay at first glance, but worn out at second glance. The waiter seemed grumpy. Everything seemed to be too much for him. PS: This was the first Greek where I didn't get an ouzo at the beginning or at the end of the meal. PPS: 0.4l Sprite is more expensive than 0.5l beer

Well I have to say, this was the best gyro I've ever eaten. My son also breaded the chicken breast fillet very well, thick but still nice and juicy. What wasn't nice was that there was no more ouzo at the end. You don't know it any other way and that's what I call hospitality. But I didn't want to ask either.

First time in this restaurant - definitely not the last. Very large portions and everything very tasty. Nice service - unfortunately there was only one ouzo (or raki) - as a welcome. Gladly again!👍

From the outside the restaurant looks a bit inconspicuous. However, that may have been due to the time of year. Since no outside dining is possible now. When I entered it, I was very pleasantly surprised at how cozy and familiar it looked inside. The layout and design of the guest room contributed greatly to the pleasant atmosphere. I was greeted and served in a friendly manner. The food is absolutely recommended and fits the overall positive impression.

We were warmly welcomed and served quickly with delicious drinks and food. Good advice and everything went well. The restaurant was very busy on a Tuesday. But we never had to wait for service. A clear recommendation!

The order was taken quickly. The salad beforehand and the dressing were very watered down. A main course of two was brought incorrectly, but we still ate it. Portion sizes good, cleanliness could be improved.

We spontaneously decided on this Greek guy. Unfortunately we weren't satisfied. We were still able to sit outside because it was still very mild in mid-September. It was hardly possible to read the map as there was no lighting, we had to use the flashlight on our phone. The table was dirty and was wiped down when we were told. The food came quickly but the taste was not our cup of tea. Other guests got an ouzo, unfortunately we didn't, they didn't even ask. Not recommended. Too bad.

If someone wants a lot of free Uozo and too much salt/garlic at a Greek restaurant, they should go somewhere else. There was Uozo As a welcome, the service was attentive, the meat tasted like meat. Gyros brown on the outside and juicy on the inside. We'll be back!!!

We ate in the Greek restaurant twice and were very satisfied. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The service was very accommodating and immediately brought my wife a blanket because it was a bit cold. Before we ordered, two ouzos came to the table. We once had gyros, saganaki, tzaziki a large beer and a water. Everything would be brought to our table in no time. The portions were filling and very tasty. We can highly recommend Athens. Next year we will eat there again.

I've been craving Greek food for a long time. Stopped in spontaneously. Friendly, quick service. Food was ok. Gyros could have been seasoned better and the chef probably just walked past the tzatziki with the garlic clove... We thought there was still room for improvement. But we still enjoyed it.

Service was quick at the beginning but after the order was placed no one came. Food was almost cold, then the whole plate was warmed up in the microwave, even the zarziki and fries were soft. Zarziki was good though Me not again!!!

Had dinner there last night and it was a huge disappointment, the staff was unfriendly, the food was terrible and there was a long wait to drink and eat. And ouzo was only available by nose... Not recommended at all

On the fourth evening, Greek was on the menu. Since we have observed people queuing over the past few evenings, we decide on the Athens restaurant. First of all: a big bankruptcy. The staff is unfriendly and only speaks the bare minimum. The most important point, the food: The breaded chicken breast we ordered was breaded, but unfortunately it had been in the deep fryer for too long, so that the breading was dry, hard and partially burnt. The bread served as a starter was also from yesterday. So dry that the sauce from the salad couldn't be absorbed. Oh yes, the salad. The cheapest you can find in the supermarket. Iceberg lettuce and a few grated carrots. Conclusion: It's about quantity, not class. Our recommendations: Eat somewhere else.

Price/performance ratio is definitely right. Unfortunately, the service quickly becomes "floating" when it gets busier. You won't be served, the full tables won't be cleared, etc. So you should bring your time.

Restaurant is inviting... Unfortunately the friendliness leaves a lot to be desired.. You will hardly be noticed once the order has been placed. After asking 3 times for an ashtray, for example, we got it ourselves and also had to ask 3 times to pay, meaning we spent almost 40 minutes pointlessly at the table. But the food made up for it

If you could give a 0 star review this restaurant would have deserved it. We were on holiday with a stroller and we were only given a table reluctantly. Menus followed after about 30 minutes of waiting, guests who came after us received them immediately. After another 30 minutes of waiting without being served, we left and weren't even asked why. Bad service, rude staff and no barrier-free access because the umbrellas are haphazardly distributed and have plates.

Uns wurde dieser Grieche empfohlen, alles war eine blanke Enttäuschung! Wir freuten uns auf ein leckeres Abendessen mit Cocktails, beim Cocktail fing es schon an , nur aus der Flasche und glutenfrei , Vegan und wees ick wat noch! Mein Mann trank ein alkoholfreies Bier , später fragte ich warum er es nicht austrank, es schmeckte nach Spüli, das Glas muss nicht richtig abgewaschen sein. Sein Gyros schmeckte wohl auch nicht, er meinte das war welches aus der Tiefkühltruhe, auch das Essen von meiner tochter , Hähnchenbrust in metaxasoße, das war Ketchup mit Sahne und nix mit Metaxa . Leider fanden wir auch auf der Karte keine Backkartoffel oder knobikartoffeln, alle Gerichte nur mit Reis, Pommes oder griechische Nudeln. Achso und dann stichwort Knoblauch, war den Tag wohl aus. Nach dem ich so recht nichts gefunden hab, hatte mich auf nen grillteller mit Leber gefreut und Knoblauchkartoffeln fragte ich ob ich ein das Kindergesicht nehmen könnte, Schnitzel mit Pommes. Ich fragte, weil auf der Karte stand nur für kleine Gäste. Ich bekam mein Essen und wäre am liebsten aufgestanden und gegangen. Schnitzel aus dem tiefkühler und in eine ölfritteuse gehauen, ob es frisch ist oder tk kann jeder auseinanderhalten. Ein paar Pommes , zusätzlich lag ne Packung majo und Ketchup auf dem Teller und angerichtet mit einem Blatt Salat , 1gurkenscheibe und 1 Tomate . Der vorspeisensalat von Kind und Mann kam sogar nach dem Essen. Wir gehen eigentlich gerne griechisch essen aber das war alles andere wie liebe zum Essen! Service war nett

Waiter/lady super unfriendly, plates are literally thrown at your feet. Waiting too long with a small child until the card(!) is even brought to you. And you even have to wait 30 minutes for the bill. 🤣

Unfortunately, that was a failure.. a lot of things were no longer available.. without comment we received croquettes instead of fries.. supposedly everything was out.. on a Monday.. the salad plate was a leaf of lettuce with tzatziki.. and there was nothing wrong with the price do .. had to pay for everything like that .. never again!!! Also and the rice was a teaspoonful .. other guests got an ouzo at the end .. we got nothing .. the tables were very dirty .. everything was sticky .. and the waitress prefers to smoke. Better go somewhere else .. 17.90 for this dish .. a horror ..

The food is good, but that's about it. The service feels completely overwhelmed. Too few staff for too many guests. It takes at least a quarter to half an hour before you can order. And you easily wait an hour for the food, assuming the right food is brought. And when you say it, the waitress reacts snidely. So I don't have to give myself that for the money. It's a shame, we actually like going to Greek restaurants, but definitely not at this one anymore...

We sat down at a free table outside to order, at first we were surprised why the table hadn't been cleared yet (but it was very full, so that can get lost), we waited there for half an hour to three quarters of an hour and then sat down at another table, where we were served immediately. Afterwards, the waiters were inattentive and forgot our orders several times. After an average waiting time, the food came, which tasted really good. In terms of value for money, I think it was okay (€60 for two people). The sanitary facilities were reasonably well maintained, unfortunately the urinal was a little cramped. Not to forget the ouzo on the house, which tasted particularly good since it was on the house😅. In my opinion, the restaurant is actually really good, but unfortunately the uncoordinated service ruins the chef's five stars.

The food was ok, one meal was wrong, unfortunately the child had to wait until the right one came, the service was so-so, I waited 20 minutes for the bill, after asking several times I went in personally and they only let me stand there until the completely overwhelmed waiter finally had time.

The food was delicious, the service may have been overwhelmed... Food order misunderstood/delivered 62 instead of 61! Unfortunately there was no ouzo to stay with... before or after the meal! Our manners were always friendly, but we got little in return!

Simply great restaurant. As a starter I had the dolmadakia (stuffed grape leaves with tzatziki) and my partner had the saganaki (baked sheep's cheese). Both excellent. For the main course, our son had the Pluto plate (spaghetti with tomato minced meat sauce), I had the Mykonos plate and my partner had the gyros. There are two small negative comments. Firstly, the side salad, which was nothing (iceberg lettuce with carrot strips and a hint of dressing) and they did a great job with the fries yesterday, they were quite soft, not crispy. But these are 2 points that can be overlooked. The employees are a dream. Super friendly, very busy and still always trying hard and nice. The food is ultra delicious. And at the end our little one got a lolly as a present. This was our second time there and we will definitely come back. Highly Recommended. Especially if you know you should make a reservation

Einfach tolles Restaurant. Ich hatte als Vorspeise die Dolmadakia (gefüllte Weinblätter mit Tzatziki) und meine Partnerin hatte Saganaki (gebackener Schafskäse). Beides vorzüglich. Als Hauptgang hatte unser Sohn den Pluto-Teller (Spaghetti mit Tomaten-Hackfleisch Soße), ich hatte den Mykonos-Teller und meine Partnerin hatte das Gyros. Zwei kleine Negativanmerkungen gibt es. Einmal der Beilagensalat, der war ja mal nichts (Eisbergsalat mit Karottenstreifen und ein Hauch von Dressing) und iwas haben die mit den Pommes gestern kicht so toll gemacht, die waren recht weich, nicht kross. Aber das sind 2 Punkte über die man hinwegsehen kann. Die Mitarbeiter sind ein Traum. Super freundlich, viel beschäftigt und trotzdem immer bemüht und nett. Das Essen ist ultra lecker. Und zum Schluss hat unser kleiner noch nen Lolly geschenkt bekommen. Wir waren das zweite Mal da und werden auch auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Absolut empfehlenswert. Vor allem wenn man weiß, dass man reservieren sollte

The food was very good, prepared quickly and in a Dorian style and requests were taken into account. 1 star deducted because the cocktails come in glass bottles and are not freshly prepared and are unfortunately completely frozen and served that way and therefore cannot be drunk really quickly. Really excellent compared to the Italian restaurant next door. Upon request, there is also ouzo, which is included in the price per meal.

Restaurant was very well attended. The food was tasty and came quickly, but no one came after that, neither inquired about the food nor asked for drinks. For a long time you were overlooked that you wanted to pay and when someone noticed you still had to wait 30 minutes until someone finally came. We wouldn't go there again.

The service was really bad when I visited. A few observations at my table and at other tables: Drinks had to be ordered several times before they came; Food and drinks were brought to the wrong tables; Drinks were served without glasses (water bottle, wine carafe); The starter and main course came at the same time, etc. The waitresses were also incredibly unfriendly. I was eating alone and I think they would have liked to send me away again. The food was ok, but not exactly outstanding and quite expensive.

The food was good, but the staff was more than overwhelmed. My son ordered a Fanta 0.4, which was also on the bill, and he received a 0.2. My wife ordered a water, two were brought, we refused one, two were still on the bill and we didn't get any bread with a feta dish, despite being reminded twice.

We are on vacation in Zinnowitz. Our first stop is the Greek. Although there are several here. The atmosphere is well maintained and the staff is very friendly and competent. The food tasted good, but wasn't great. The minced lamb with a lot of sauce in particular wasn't that good. Overall, four stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 for the friendliness of the staff!!

I ate gyros and it was very dry.

We had a pancake dish that contained far too little sauce and was therefore too dry. We also had the baked chicken breast, which was almost inedible because it had way too much salt. Even the fries that were served didn't taste good. A spice or herb was used here that didn't fit at all. Last but not least, it should be mentioned that the prices that can be found on the internet vary between 2 and 3 euros. At least the service was quick, although you had the feeling of not being understood. Conclusion: Manni's kebab is significantly cheaper and better.

I ordered moussaka (vegetarian) and it was the worst meal ever, hardly any potatoes and no eggplants, braised and a lot of mush when gratinated. 18.90 euros for it?? Rather not!!

Unfortunately, as offered in other restaurants, there is no lunch menu. The selection of food is not as extensive as you would find in other Greek restaurants. Charging just under 10 euros for a feta as a starter is crazy. The main course comes with fries and rice, although the portion here is no larger than a small scoop of ice cream. Based on the statements mentioned here, I would only give 3 points.

We had dinner at Athens Restaurant today. The bifteki was very tasty and juicy. The gyros with the Metaxa sauce was also delicious. The waiters were very nice and accommodating. We would love to come back on our next vacation.
