The food was very tasty and the atmosphere with Greek music was very inviting. The staff was super friendly, but unfortunately you could tell they were understaffed. We were still very satisfied.

Waiter listless 😑! Metaxa sauce was cream sauce or something else stirred together. Had our food returned. Never again!

I'll put it this way, I can't understand the few positive reviews. By far the most miserable Greek I have ever experienced. I've never had to leave any Greek food leftover. Here, not only we, but also the neighboring tables left their portions with long meaningful faces. Prices were pretty high, the quality of the food was subpar. Waiters inattentive. Conclusion: Not again for heaven's sake!!!

I actually recommend finding another restaurant! It was our first day of vacation, and in retrospect I would have preferred to spend the money elsewhere. The garlic bread is an absolute mockery. 2 mini-small dry white bread slices that have briefly passed the garlic oil. You didn't even smell the garlic. €4.50 for that! Our steak came to €25 per meal - absolutely over the top! It was prepared completely carelessly, unseasoned... We didn't even ask how we would like our steak, of course it was completely fried... You could hardly chew it. Especially since you first had to look for it under the mushroom sauce because the steak was completely drowned under it. Not even the fries saw any salt. There was no salad, nothing green. I actually know that from good Greeks. The waiter had his first day at work. Unfortunately he had absolutely no idea about anything... no good service. We won't be going to a Greek restaurant we don't know any time soon. Eating out has simply become too expensive these days. You would expect good quality for that.

This was our second and last time there within a year. There is only one free round of ouzo at the end, if you have had one before you have to pay for it, even if you don't want the last round. Food was ok but nothing special. The salad was terrible, it smelled and tasted like hydraulic oil, as always. You wait an hour for your food, which is too long when the restaurant isn't even half full. And finally, people look at you annoyed if you pay with a card and not cash, for whatever reason.

We waited over an hour for our food even though the place was empty. The two men who served seemed listless and were very inattentive. Our food was simply disgusting. I had noodles with skampi, which had a very sour taste, and I left almost everything behind. Wouldn't go there again. Service and quality of the food underground

You can just feel and taste that they don't make any effort. And that goes through, from ordering to eating to paying. Not a dining experience. You get full, nothing more. At a price that is probably due to the location and not the food. Just keep going.

I have to agree with the many negative reviews, the Spartan and the food has nothing Greek except the names and the music, small portions for horrendous prices and no taste at all. €75.00 for two people is not acceptable, then there's a hair in the book Eat. The waiters here are unfriendly and not at all attentive, although they have nothing to do with waiters, they looked as if their shift at the kebab was over and they were continuing to work there. Not recommended

Underground...never had such a bad meal! Over an hour of waiting for the starter, then another 40 minutes for the main course. Fries cold & hard, tomato rice cold, gyros on the plate cold, gyros gratinated - meat dry, hard & black. When spoken to, the service also became unfriendly. Absolute disaster, lack of manners, miserable food. Hopefully this will be motivation enough for others not to go there. The bottom line is actually a 0-star rating!

We (2 people) tried the restaurant yesterday and it was quite a disappointing experience. Although there were only two other guests there besides us, we waited three quarters of an hour for the food. In itself this wouldn't have been so bad if the food had at least been good. The gratinated chicken and the gratinated sufflaki tasted bland and the sufflaki were quite tough. The Metaxa sauce was quite thin and sober. The coleslaw and fries with tomato rice came on separate saucer-sized plates. The fries were weak, the coleslaw was overly acidic and the tomato rice tasted like aniseed. Unfortunately, the service was also quite poor. We were there for almost 1 1/2 hours in total and, apart from the regular order, we weren't even asked if we would like anything else to drink.

Unfortunately the food doesn't taste good! And dear users who are impressed by the supposedly good reviews - bad reviews are always deleted by the operator! My tip - simply invest the money to combat the bad reviews in good cuisine. Then it also works with good reviews!

Since Google not only deleted my review but also that of others, one can only say that we in Germany have freedom of expression according to our constitution and with the food it is my open opinion. I hope you agree with me.

Chicken like rubber, service unfriendly!

Great food at a normal price. Large portion. Staff very nice and friendly. The price also included drinks. And of course there was an Uso. Can only recommend the gyros with susuki. We were there last year.

We have to write a recession again because it has been deleted again and again. We do not violate any guidelines and our information is not incorrect. We ate at the Spartaner in Zinnowitz on July 20, 2023. We had reserved a table in the outdoor area early and by phone and were looking forward to the evening. When we arrived, they ignored our reservation and made us wait 30 minutes indoors at an uncovered table without service. During this time I thought more than once about simply leaving the restaurant and going somewhere else. My companion said we should wait now and, as already mentioned, after 30 minutes we were given a table outside. Unfortunately the quality of the food was not good. The tzatziki tasted like it was industrially produced, the lamb was bland, the beans had water added to them (similar to those from a can), the fries were poor, the meat was already cold... all in all, the food and the service were unfortunately bad. We have proof of our actual presence and it can be verified. (bank receipts)

Food came quickly, but Bread tasted like a dish, when asked, no response, We also forgot to order ketshup with the schnitzel. Schnitzel very salty, coleslaw has no taste.

The food was just terrible. For the garlic bread starter, we were served 2 small ready-made breads with a pinch of herbs. Pepperoni bland, without flavor. Main course: raw meat & this couldn't be described as tomato rice either. The only thing you could eat were the fries. Overall, you can't even eat it for free.

Me and my husband, family and friends just had dinner there...1. Overwhelmed when asked for 8 people 2. You get to eat separately... the first ones eat while others are still waiting 3. The food was not what you would expect from a Greek... 4. You have hair in your food even if you don't pay for it... 5. At the end you only get an ouzo and you are not treated so kindly because you complain about hair in your food... So we will never visit this restaurant again...

Very overpriced. It wasn't anything special. The garlic bread came carelessly on a breakfast plate without any garnish; as we all know, your eyes eat with you. The baked meat skewers were drowned in sauce and fart dry. The taste was good. The waiters could be more attentive and, above all, friendlier. You didn't exactly feel well.

It's drafty outside like pike soup.

The food was terribly bad, the meat was far dry, the coleslaw was inedible, the tomato rice also left a lot to be desired, but hey, the Sprite was delicious... my daughter's pasta was still partially raw... I've never had such a bad meal in my life. I mentioned it, but it wasn't addressed.

Well... Quality of the gyros is very poor, cold and dry. Metaxa sauce shouldn't have the name, it only consisted of tomato paste and fatty cream and plenty of it. No taste and no attention to detail. It's a shame that they're only looking for quick processing of many vacationers here. Tables outside not clean and clearly worn. Price performance is rather poor.

Friendly demeanor of the staff…the ambience was “typical”…but that was about it. It was the worst gyro I've ever eaten, totally dry, bland in taste, with little or no "roasted flavors"...only the suvlaki that came with the dish had some taste, fries and tomato rice were ok. My partner had baked chicken in “Metaxa sauce”…this was also “tasteless”…just a bit “tomatoey”.

We ordered with a 2 year old child, we were there at 6:15 p.m. we ordered our food at 6:20 p.m. and we wait and wait. 5 tables that came later were already served with food, the food finally arrived at 7:20 p.m. but My food isn't there yet, the first one is from my wife and then everything arrived at the same time with the starter and main course not ok.

There was little to complain about with the food, but the staff were extremely overwhelmed and communicated this even after consultation. Unfortunately not recommended in this form. We were looking forward to delicious Greek food... after an hour of waiting, our starter arrived, although the number of guests was manageable... just before we left, our main course arrived, souflaki gratinated with Metaxa sauce... what the heck I say... for this proud price once and never again!!!! Because after the long wait, the Metaxa sauce arrived so diluted that you could hardly taste the sauce!!!!

I'm traveling all over the world, but I've never experienced anything like it, no service, a long wait, some food was inedible, a disaster, pigs were expensive and the final ouzo was stretched, but my daughter (18) said the iced tea was good.

I can only confirm the bad reviews. Although quite late in the evening (after 8 p.m.) there were waiting times of more than 40 minutes for the food. My Zeus plate was a total failure. Lamb chop, pork and chicken skewer tough and tasteless. The grilled vegetables were bathed in fat. For 25€ the absolute impudence! If I ever come here again, I will give this dive bar a wide berth. P.S. My wife had the Gyros Special and she really enjoyed it. Maybe some dishes are quite edible.

The restaurant was only half full. We still had to wait an hour for food. Not even the child got his food. Terrible. The service was also very friendly. And now for the food: The bifteki was lukewarm and inedible, the beef pan was exactly the same and the leg of lamb was exactly the same. Very strange seasoning. When the waiter came and asked if everything was ok and we said it was inedible, he just looked and took it away. And the hit €156. So we'll definitely never come back.

The overall experience at this Greek restaurant was disappointing. Not only did we have to wait an hour and a half for our food while guests at the table next door who arrived later got their food before us, but the quality also left a lot to be desired. The noodles for the children tasted sour, which is certainly not pleasant for young palates. In addition, the lamb fillet, which cost €32, was a real disappointment in terms of portion size. It's a shame that the food and service didn't live up to expectations, especially at these prices. Simply unacceptable and also our last visit!

The 5 star reviews are incomprehensible. Even one star is too many. I've rarely eaten so badly and spent a lot of money on it. Even in the first few minutes, guests are angry and get up and leave. Complained about the long wait for the food and then that it didn't taste good. The food was sometimes cold, dry and without any taste. So far from a Greek restaurant. Prices are not at all appropriate for the “ready meals”. There is definitely no recommendation or even a reunion from us.

We were 2 adults and 2 children... We sat down at a free table and were only served after 20 minutes (not possible at all). After ordering drinks and food, we waited another 15 minutes for the drinks, in the same breath I was told that there were no more gyros (not possible at all). not, it was just 7:30 p.m. About an hour later we finally got food (children had to wait just as long), it should also be mentioned that the restaurant was only half full. What surprised me was the food, it was quite good.

After 50 minutes of waiting, the food came, unfortunately it wasn't tasty. Four guests left immediately after one guest left loudly angry and complained, which didn't make a good impression.

There was a cool reception with 3 people and 1 child. Unfortunately we were seated inside 30 minutes before our order was taken and after an additional 60 minute wait there was still no food, while the guests outside were better served. When we went to the waiter to say that we didn't want to wait any longer for our food and wanted to pay for the drinks, we were rudely told that it wasn't a McDonald's. The waiter hammered the drinks into the cash register system and after paying we were thrown out. We'll never go there again.

I do not recommend this restaurant. First of all we were greeted without a greeting. Everything was 80% free, but we still asked where we could sit down. With an unfriendly look, we were sat outside on the corner with a stroller. Since the tables outside were all a bit crowded, it was very difficult for us to get through, so other guests had to get up. After half an hour the waiter came and asked very rudely what we wanted. I pointed out to him that we didn't even get a map. He got this and we lost our eyes. After another 15 minutes of waiting, we were able to place our order. We waited another 15 minutes for our drinks. When I asked after another half hour when the food would come, I got a nasty answer. As he answered me, I answered him in the same way, saying that otherwise I would cancel my order and pay for the drink. Suddenly the food would be ready in 3 minutes (we ended up waiting repeatedly for 15 minutes). The taste of the food was a disaster. There isn't anything that bad even in our region. Therefore half remained on the plate. Unreasonable. We didn't get any ouzo, like at the neighboring table, but they only got an ouzo at the end. We didn’t get a “bye” either. The money was taken and just left. The price for Bifteki and extra Metaxa sauce for just under €26 is pretty critical. The service was beyond bad. We will never enter this “restaurant” again. Please save your money. We also allowed ourselves to be blinded externally.

Half an hour passed before we were served (drink request). Waited another hour until the food came. The meat wasn't cooked through (Susuki) or it was TOO cooked through (Gyros). The presentation on the plate was subterranean, the theme: the eye is with. A knife was missing, but it came when asked. I asked for salt and was forgotten, so I got it myself. The neighboring tables were already cursing while we were waiting for the food and recommended that we pay for the drinks and leave because the food wasn't that great. And then still relatively expensive. But we pulled through. At some point other guests got up and left because they didn't want to wait any longer. Surely two waiters are not enough and there is a shortage of skilled workers and everything. But unfortunately nothing was right here. In the end, the two waiters looked apologetic when paying (I preferred to go straight to the counter so I didn't have to wait) and bought two more ouzo. Sorry guys for the harsh criticism but conceptually something has to happen or do you just want to continue to annoy tourists?

My son was given frozen nuggets, upon pointing this out, we were brought the food again without an apology etc. They put the nuggets including the bitten nugget back on the plate and the new ones were frozen again 👍🏻. Unfriendly to the last. The gyro was cold and burnt. The rice is also cold. We have never eaten so badly. Definitely NOT recommended! Too bad about the money

The “restaurant” looks very inviting and busy from the street. The waiter greeted us friendly but unfortunately that was the only positive thing. The order was taken after 25 minutes and the food was served after a total of an hour! Unfortunately, Fanta was completely stale and there was no trace of carbon dioxide! The gyros taste like frozen food from Aldi, poor quality and dry. Absolutely not recommended!!!

We had dinner there a few days ago in the evening. Since this restaurant has a total of 4.4 stars, we thought it was a good idea. That was a huge mistake. The parking situation is difficult, but it is possible directly in front of the restaurant only for an hour and if something is available. The cutlery wasn't really clean. When we ordered we waited a good hour even though there wasn't really anything going on. When the waiter came to our corner after a while, he seemed shocked when he turned on the light. We were probably simply forgotten. Then at some point the food finally arrived. My wife ordered gratinated gyros. Completely burned. Pasta with Bolognese for our little one, in which we had to look for the chopped stuff. When our daughter went to the waiter, he pushed her away and said he would bring it straight away. After about 15 minutes we asked loudly if there was anything else today becomes. Then the perfumed waiter finally came (he talks on the phone a lot) and then the cheese finally came after everything was cold. Also a disaster in terms of taste. I had a plate with various meats which was ok but nothing special. No ouzo at reception. After this extremely poor service and burnt food, I found it almost impertinent to seriously ask for a tip. All in all not recommended, save yourself the money.

We wanted to see for ourselves whether the Greek restaurant "Spartaner" or the quality of the dishes offered there is as poor as the reviews say. Unfortunately yes, tonight we paid quite a high price for the experience. The prices are definitely not commensurate with the quality of the food. When I asked for freshly pressed garlic cloves for my grilled pepperoni, the Greek man serving me told me they didn't have that. On the menu the starter was declared as "pepperoni in hot garlic sauce", but in reality it was swimming in melted herb butter. Even the napkin on the table was branded with a kebab man. We can agree with the criticism from the previous articles. Unfortunately, she is justified.

Please avoid this Restaurant!!! After spending 2 days in Zinnowitz and enjoyed a lot of delicious meals, we decided to go somewhere we thought it will never go wrong: Greek Restaurant. After comparing the reviews between restaurant named Athens & this, we thought we will go here, because it got 4,4 stars. But then it turns out to be a huge disappointment! The meals were not it cheap, it’s fine if the quality at least good enough. But not. Disaster. The service is bad, no friendliness, no professionalism at all. At the end we ate a bit because we were super hungry, we paid full price, we left to another restaurants and ate there! Avoid wasting 60€ for this.

Sorry, that was probably nothing. Just wanted a portion of gyros with tzatziki and a small farmer's salad. When I unpacked it at home, it was a gyro plate complete with everything and a large farmer's salad. Good day! First of all, even one star is far too much!!! The restaurant opened at 7:00 and we, guests three and four, had placed our orders. After about 15 minutes, which in our opinion was far too quick, our “food” arrived. (each 25.00 euros) Plate careless and overfilled, served floating in oil. The food was lukewarm, the side dishes were overcooked and the lamb chops were pale and undercooked. (Rubber) We don't even want to talk about the smell. We have never experienced anything like this, it's hard to describe this performance!!! When the listless staff were kindly made aware of this, they only received derogatory looks. The follow-up to a meal made this farce worse and we freed ourselves from this restaurant by paying full price. We didn't feel like having to deal with a payment dispute, nor did we have the nerves anymore, since it was our last day of vacation. Maybe the responsible office should take a look. From us you can make this store. Sorry but that doesn't work at all. Best regards

The food came after 1.5 hours after repeated requests. Our child also only got his food then. It was not possible to order drinks again because unfortunately no waiter came to the table. There is no relationship between price and performance!

Unfortunately, the tzatziki as a starter didn't taste good either, it was more like a ready-made cup from the supermarket, you can do it better yourself. There was no tzatziki with the main course as is usual. Meat wasn't of the best quality either and the rice had never seen tomatoes. Unfortunately the worst thing we have ever eaten in Zinnowitz. If you are ever in Meißen, go to the two Greeks. It's a thousand times better there.

The restaurant calls itself Greek, but my guess is that it's Italian in disguise. Doesn't matter! Nice little restaurant with a beer garden. Right on the street but cozy. Friendly, nice and quick staff, food served quickly and hot. Prices are now usually high, but okay. Recommended!

Since the weather was good, we were able to sit outside, which our four-legged friend also liked. The atmosphere was fine, the tables were clean and there was even a blanket per person. After just two minutes we received the menu and were able to order drinks. These were there after a very short time. We received our starters quickly and they were very good and filling. Small deduction, the salad between the starter and the main course came with the main course and this again came a little too quickly. Our entire table was then covered with food. The waiter was courteous and friendly. The food was warm, looked and tasted good. The fries were very seasoned, there could have been a few more. The meat was rich, the sauce was very creamy and the portion was absolutely sufficient. There was a small ouzo with the bill, which was also good.
