The staff was nice, but our garlic bread was really cheap and poorly made. The gyro might have been from the day before, and the souvlaki wasn't particularly well seasoned. The fries were good. The food isn't worth the price. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it anymore!

I had oven-baked roast pork with gravy there – simply amazing! The meat was super tender and the gravy was wonderfully flavorful. Everything came to the table piping hot and was simply delicious. The staff was also excellent, friendly, and in a good mood. I'll definitely be back – definitely recommend it!

So, first the positive. The waiters were really nice and accommodating. The ambience is also appealing. There is still room for improvement. But clean and tidy. However, the food (19 euros) from the salad to the gratinated gyros. I don't know. I know this better with every Greek from my hometown. The low point was really the dead cooked blob of rice with tomato sauce? Really a shame. The good service staff couldn't get rid of that.

The disgusting spice is everywhere here too. Tsatziki wasn't homemade either. Coleslaw also bland. As a starter we had the baked pepperoni in garlic sauce. Here you are being deceitfully deceived. Simply put the pepperoni in the stock in the oven, maybe a sip of garlic oil and 3 slices of bread. 9.90 euros. The price is absolutely exorbitant, and the taste is a flat 0 (so I can warm the bag on my own). Everything was done carelessly. There was no small salad to start or anything like that Waiting time All in all about 70 minutes (maybe 5 guests present next to us in the restaurant) All in all we paid €61.50 for bad food. Ouzo was only available because we quickly packed our things after paying. Waiter asked if it tasted good and I said it could be better. It wasn't like that. There was no reaction. Maybe a quick question about what the problem was in order to make it better in the future. We definitely won't come back!

The restaurant is beautifully decorated in a Greek style. Lots of Greek motifs on the wall and beautifully designed. The service is polite and courteous and the food is simple and Greek. No culinary highlights.

Worst Greek ever... The meat (skewers) were beyond dead, tough and inedible. The garlic potatoes were potato wedges in cheap garlic butter. The garlic bread was a roll from the supermarket baked with garlic butter melted. If they were Greek, they wouldn't have given out the food.

Where do you want to start here... The first noticeable indication was that we wanted to reserve a table for 12 p.m. a few days in advance, after all, that is the opening time. When we asked if we could get a table, he stammered and said that the kitchen sometimes doesn't open until 12:15. So we agreed on 12:30 to accommodate something. When we sat in the restaurant, we were the first and only guests and still had to wait 45 minutes for our food, far too long for an empty restaurant, the kitchen probably wasn't open at 12 o'clock. Eat: - Garlic bread: the worst thing I've ever eaten, probably simple baguettes from the Netto next door smeared and briefly fried, and tasted way too buttery/oily. Came for the main course even though it was ordered as a starter. - Main course: tomato rice, unseasoned and not particularly good - Coleslaw: also unseasoned and bland - Fries: very good, only bright spot - Souvlaki: not well seasoned and dry - Gyros: didn't taste fresh either, some were still a bit raw, tasted okay - Tzatziki: was good, you can't go wrong Ambience: not good for the good location near the sea, I can agree with the review that described it as cool and uninviting, this can be improved, and the door was left open the whole time, so it was cold in the restaurant. Price: definitely a decent Baltic Sea markup that doesn't match the quality delivered. There is a menu on the internet that is no longer up to date. Waiter wasn't unfriendly.

The good thing first, the ambience is ok. There were dirty cutlery on the newly set table. A replacement was available upon request. Waited over 45 minutes for the food even though it wasn't full. Fries unsalted, coleslaw tasted like nothing or like pure vinegar. Zatziki was mixed quark with onions? Bifteki thawed and very watery, calamari fried but unseasoned. Very little spice anywhere. The service seemed totally overwhelmed, even though it wasn't full. Allergy sufferers' wishes could hardly be implemented. There was no alternative other than the coleslaw, and they didn't understand the no tomatoes please either. Overall, there is still a lot to be improved here. We're definitely not coming back.

The food was just subpar. The gyro was definitely nice the third time reheated and not even properly. The structure was more reminiscent of a bad, far too dry pulled pork. For some unknown reason, dill was used in large quantities in the souvlaki. The fries were far from crispy. The rice was completely overcooked and cold. Actually everything was served rather lukewarm. All in all, this was our most disappointing Greek dining experience to date. Absolutely no recommendation!

The ambience is very nice. Unfortunately the service wasn't that good. The children's meal came much later than the other main courses. My food was very spicy, so I had some more the next day. I wish the Spartaner restaurant a nice season.

The food was really delicious. However, the prices are quite high. Not just for the main course. They're quite overpriced for small side dishes, and the quantities are rather small. Therefore, we're giving it fewer stars overall.

We would like to erase the hour from our lives that we were in the restaurant. We would give the restaurant a 4. The waiter didn't really understand us. The new owner is very nice and accommodating. We had lamb fillet, unfortunately slightly seasoned and fried (no grill marks). The vegetables were beans, which I found to be a bit overcooked. The rest was fine. I would have liked tzatziki and an olive with the garlic bread, but the bread is a bit dry. We always like lots of sauce with it (like many others probably do too). Ouzo was 3 free.

The owner changed and probably took the know-how with him!? Payment was ONLY in cash and getting an invoice was also difficult. When we asked, we were told that the "new" cash register system had to be started up first - every auditor would be happy about that. The service was OK, the gyros were dry and apparently warmed up, the Greek salad was adulterated with an undefined fatty bottled sauce (no light dressing) and the prices are typically high in the Baltic Sea. αντίο - όχι ευχαριστώ! Goodbye - no thanks!

Apparently a new opening took place here at the beginning of March, so older, negative reviews should no longer be taken into account. We were guests and had an excellent meal - everything was fresh and delicious. Plus a great atmosphere and friendly staff. There is absolutely nothing to complain about. Keep it up!

Since my reviews were also deleted... freedom of expression? Here again. ... The 5 star reviews here are incomprehensible. I've rarely eaten so badly and spent a lot of money on it. Even in the first few minutes, guests are angry and get up and leave. Complained about the long wait for the food and then that it didn't taste good. There is definitely no recommendation or even a reunion from us.

Sehr übersichtliche Portionen, altes Brot als Beilage, der fakultative Ouzo am Ende verdünnt. Keine Ahnung, wieso Google dort im Bereich 4,6 argumentiert. Wäre dort nie eingekehrt. Das Schild am Eingang, dass man schließt und Ostern 25 wieder öffnen wird, sagt leider alles. In jeder deutschen Großstadt würde dieses Konzept den ultimativen Todesstoß bedeuten. Schade.

We were there in 2023. Food at a normal price. Large portion. Staff very nice and friendly. The price also included drinks. And of course there was an Uso. Can only recommend the gyros with susuki. Great taste

Yes, difficult... Nice service. That was very pleasant. The ambience is ok but far too bright for a restaurant. You immediately feel like you're in a cafeteria. The food wasn't good at all. As a starter we had Saganaki. The cheese (fried) was ok, even though you don't actually fry it. But there was baguette bread instead of pita bread. But that's what I expect when I go out for Greek food. Afterwards we had gyros with fries, rice and tzatziki. The meat was cold and didn't taste fresh. The rice didn't work at all and had an undefined taste. The tzatziki wasn't freshly made. It's a shame I can't say more positive things. We were actually looking forward to the food.

The gyro was raw, the liver was bitter and burnt, the rice was just a disgusting lump, the zarziki was old and the fries were 10x better at every stall. The crowning glory was the dry oregano that was used to cover the food to mask the taste of the old meat. The waitress asked about it and received no response or understanding.

I've eaten Greek food from north to south, including in Greece...that had nothing in common with good Greek cuisine. Rice was over-seasoned and more of a lump. Meat too dry. The Spartan can be found in the heart of the town of Zinnowitz (Baltic Sea resort). designated as a Greek restaurant. Inside, however, the very simple furniture gives you the impression of dining in an upscale canteen. The ordering process was a bit difficult. Waiter (very unfriendly) had no idea which wines were available as house wine (no wine list). In the end we got some pretty sweet Greek wine, which I didn't really like. The meat was very dry - probably due to the grilling process taking too long. As a side salad, coleslaw came from the bucket onto the plate. After clearing away the waiter didn't come back even though we said we wanted to pay straight away. The price for 2 adults and 2 children ended up being more than 80 EUR - too much for me and my family. Caution! Hot water is charged separately because a bottle was probably opened. I will certainly not enter this restaurant again. You can see this as “Spartans”. Sorry, just underground.

The older gentleman in service was very friendly and well put together. A miracle given the miserable food. As a service employee, I wouldn't have dared to offer guests something like that. Completely tasteless “food” made from the cheapest foods warmed up and carelessly thrown onto the plate. Eat or die! If you really want to dig into the toilet, you can eat here. I'll put it this way, I can't understand the few positive reviews. By far the most miserable Greek I have ever experienced. I've never had to leave any Greek food leftover. I actually recommend finding another restaurant! It was our first day of vacation, and in retrospect I would have preferred to spend the money elsewhere. The garlic bread is an absolute mockery. 2 mini-small dry white bread slices that have briefly passed the garlic oil. You didn't even smell the garlic. €4.50 for that! Our steak came to €25 per meal - absolutely over the top! It was prepared completely carelessly, unseasoned... We didn't even ask how we would like our steak, of course it was completely fried... You could hardly chew it. Especially since you first had to look for it under the mushroom sauce because the steak was completely drowned under it. Not even the fries saw any salt. There was no salad, nothing green. I actually know that from good Greeks. The waiter had his first day at work. Unfortunately he had absolutely no idea about anything... no good service. We won't be going to a Greek restaurant we don't know any time soon. Eating out has simply become too expensive these days. You would expect good quality for that.

This was our second and last time there within a year. There is only one free round of ouzo at the end, if you have had one before you have to pay for it, even if you don't want the last round. Food was ok but nothing special. The salad was terrible, it smelled and tasted like hydraulic oil, as always. You wait an hour for your food, which is too long when the restaurant isn't even half full. And finally, people look at you annoyed if you pay with a card and not cash, for whatever reason.

I have to agree with the many negative reviews, the Spartan and the food has nothing Greek except the names and the music, small portions for horrendous prices and no taste at all. €75.00 for two people is not acceptable, then there's a hair in the book Eat. The waiters here are unfriendly and not at all attentive, although they have nothing to do with waiters, they looked as if their shift at the kebab was over and they were continuing to work there. Not recommended

Underground...never had such a bad meal! Over an hour of waiting for the starter, then another 40 minutes for the main course. Fries cold & hard, tomato rice cold, gyros on the plate cold, gyros gratinated - meat dry, hard & black. When spoken to, the service also became unfriendly. Absolute disaster, lack of manners, miserable food. Hopefully this will be motivation enough for others not to go there. The bottom line is actually a 0-star rating!

We (2 people) tried the restaurant yesterday and it was quite a disappointing experience. Although there were only two other guests there besides us, we waited three quarters of an hour for the food. In itself this wouldn't have been so bad if the food had at least been good. The gratinated chicken and the gratinated sufflaki tasted bland and the sufflaki were quite tough. The Metaxa sauce was quite thin and sober. The coleslaw and fries with tomato rice came on separate saucer-sized plates. The fries were weak, the coleslaw was overly acidic and the tomato rice tasted like aniseed. Unfortunately, the service was also quite poor. We were there for almost 1 1/2 hours in total and, apart from the regular order, we weren't even asked if we would like anything else to drink.

Unfortunately the food doesn't taste good! And dear users who are impressed by the supposedly good reviews - bad reviews are always deleted by the operator! My tip - simply invest the money to combat the bad reviews in good cuisine. Then it also works with good reviews!

Chicken like rubber, service unfriendly!

We have to write a recession again because it has been deleted again and again. We do not violate any guidelines and our information is not incorrect. We ate at the Spartaner in Zinnowitz on July 20, 2023. We had reserved a table in the outdoor area early and by phone and were looking forward to the evening. When we arrived, they ignored our reservation and made us wait 30 minutes indoors at an uncovered table without service. During this time I thought more than once about simply leaving the restaurant and going somewhere else. My companion said we should wait now and, as already mentioned, after 30 minutes we were given a table outside. Unfortunately the quality of the food was not good. The tzatziki tasted like it was industrially produced, the lamb was bland, the beans had water added to them (similar to those from a can), the fries were poor, the meat was already cold... all in all, the food and the service were unfortunately bad. We have proof of our actual presence and it can be verified. (bank receipts)

Me and my husband, family and friends just had dinner there...1. Overwhelmed when asked for 8 people 2. You get to eat separately... the first ones eat while others are still waiting 3. The food was not what you would expect from a Greek... 4. You have hair in your food even if you don't pay for it... 5. At the end you only get an ouzo and you are not treated so kindly because you complain about hair in your food... So we will never visit this restaurant again...

Well... Quality of the gyros is very poor, cold and dry. Metaxa sauce shouldn't have the name, it only consisted of tomato paste and fatty cream and plenty of it. No taste and no attention to detail. It's a shame that they're only looking for quick processing of many vacationers here. Tables outside not clean and clearly worn. Price performance is rather poor.

Friendly demeanor of the staff…the ambience was “typical”…but that was about it. It was the worst gyro I've ever eaten, totally dry, bland in taste, with little or no "roasted flavors"...only the suvlaki that came with the dish had some taste, fries and tomato rice were ok. My partner had baked chicken in “Metaxa sauce”…this was also “tasteless”…just a bit “tomatoey”.

We ordered with a 2 year old child, we were there at 6:15 p.m. we ordered our food at 6:20 p.m. and we wait and wait. 5 tables that came later were already served with food, the food finally arrived at 7:20 p.m. but My food isn't there yet, the first one is from my wife and then everything arrived at the same time with the starter and main course not ok.

I can only confirm the bad reviews. Although quite late in the evening (after 8 p.m.) there were waiting times of more than 40 minutes for the food. My Zeus plate was a total failure. Lamb chop, pork and chicken skewer tough and tasteless. The grilled vegetables were bathed in fat. For 25€ the absolute impudence! If I ever come here again, I will give this dive bar a wide berth. P.S. My wife had the Gyros Special and she really enjoyed it. Maybe some dishes are quite edible.

The restaurant was only half full. We still had to wait an hour for food. Not even the child got his food. Terrible. The service was also very friendly. The overall experience at this Greek restaurant was disappointing. Not only did we have to wait an hour and a half for our food while guests at the table next door who arrived later got their food before us, but the quality also left a lot to be desired. There was a cool reception with 3 people and 1 child. Unfortunately we were seated inside 30 minutes before our order was taken and after an additional 60 minute wait there was still no food, while the guests outside were better served. When we went to the waiter to say that we didn't want to wait any longer for our food and wanted to pay for the drinks, we were rudely told that it wasn't a McDonald's. The waiter hammered the drinks into the cash register system and after paying we were thrown out. We'll never go there again.
