Kartoffelburg in Zinnowitz

There were two of us eating and I have to say I'm disappointed. We ate two solyanka as a starter and they arrived after 1 minute and no soups can be ready that quickly, which means they were warmed up in the microwave. Our drinks were both a peach iced tea. We saw and observed this one from Edeka in a tetra pack. In my opinion the drinks are too expensive here and too small, a large glass is 0.3 l. For the main course we ate Jägerschnitzel with pasta and tomato sauce. That tasted good. The price was also great, but the tomato sauce was watery, which we paid for two people: €55.00. So we don't come here anymore. I'm sorry, the prices are just enormously too expensive here (for ready-made food). I hope it helps you, because this review is true.

The food was great as always. We come here twice a year, accompanied by our Labbi. Wuffus are welcome. We can only recommend the restaurant.

We were in the potato castle for the first time. You couldn't make a reservation. So we decided to go there early. We were there around half past five and there were still tables available. The service was quick and very nice. Drinks and food came quickly. The tables were filled quickly and were the first to wait in the entrance to get a table. The waiter also took good care of these guests and provided information about the situation and possible waiting times. I thought that was very good. The food was very tasty and value for money was right. The restaurant is small and rustically furnished. The selection of dishes is not that big, but there is something for everyone. Everyone can find something there. There doesn't have to be a lot of choice, the important thing is that everything tastes good.

Whenever we are in Zinnowitz we go to the potato castle. Be sure to try the Hamburg schnitzel. However, the farmer's breakfast was more of an oversalted omelet and the liver was burnt.

Der Kellner war sehr nett und es ist sehr gemütlich, das ist aber auch das einzig gute was ich sagen kann, das Essen war fürchterlich, wir hatten Röstbrädel , das Fleisch war labberich und schwammt in Essig/ Zitronensaft ,ein kleiner Esslöffel Krautsalat und dazu ein par Bratkartoffeln.. Sehr enttäuschend.

Wir waren zu sechst hier, haben ohne Reservierung einen Platz erhalten. Ich habe ein Bauernfrühstück bestellt, welches geschmacklich gut war, kann man ja nicht viel falsch machen. Leider war als frische Beilage nur eine einzige Gewürzgurke dabei. Das fand ich schon sehr dürftig und hat mich tatsächlich geärgert. Desweiteren hatten wir noch das Gericht mit der Grützwurst bestellt. Ausreichend Grützwurst aber nur 2 Kartoffeln dazu??? Ein Löffel wäre an der Stelle praktisch gewesen. An falscher Stelle gespart . Die Bedienung, ach nein, der Bediener war schon etwas merkwürdig in seiner Art und wir saßen mehrfach lange vor leeren Gläsern, ehe dieses bemerkt wurde, obwohl oft am Tisch vorbeigelaufen wurde. Schade. Alles in allem.....man kann nicht alles mit Personalmangel rechtfertigen, sind für 65,- euro zu zweit satt geworden, aber es gibt definitiv Verbesserungspotential.

There were six of us here and we got a place without a reservation. I ordered a farmer's breakfast, which tasted good, you can't go wrong. Unfortunately there was only a single pickle as a fresh side dish. I found that very poor and actually annoyed me. We also ordered the dish with the Grützwurst. Enough grützwurst but only 2 potatoes with it??? A spoon would have come in handy at this point. Saving in the wrong place. The service, oh no, the waiter was a bit strange in his manner and we sat several times in front of empty glasses before this was noticed, even though people often walked past the table. Too bad. All in all...you can't justify everything with a lack of staff, we were fed for two people for 65 euros, but there is definitely room for improvement.

I had the feeling that there was a lot of frozen food: from broccoli to potato wedges. It's a shame... Otherwise the staff was very nice and a calm atmosphere.

Food wasn't particularly good, tasted like ready-made food. I had a vegetable casserole, too much cream, not very seasoned, vegetables crunchy but too big. Price-performance ratio is still very poor for a mini portion. For families with children or cars, no help for a place and a smoke-free zone outside is also not possible.

After being on the road all morning our stomach was growling. The restaurant spoke to us. After we entered the first two meters of the restaurant we were greeted with a very abrupt "we're full" instead of a hello. But when you looked around there were tables available (without a reserved sign). This impression is lasting and will ensure that we never set foot there again.

The food is quite okay. The farmer's breakfast looked a bit strange. More like an omelet. But taste good. Unfortunately, the service was very inattentive during our visit. You were hardly noticed and orders were forgotten. You found a spot in the beer garden pretty quickly. Whereas you had to wait quite a long time to get a seat in the restaurant. Parking spaces are very scarce in Zinnowitz and not close by.

We went here for lunch. First of all, I have to say that this was definitely the best service during our two-week Usedom vacation. The waiter was quick, friendly, attentive and really great. The pub itself is rustically furnished. Unfortunately, the food wasn't quite ours. My fried potatoes were still very al dente and my wife's ribs were unfortunately too dry. Probably just a bad day we will definitely try again on our next vacation. Another positive thing to mention is that our dog was welcome and got his own water bowl.

Trotz einer vielzahl von negativen bewertungen haben wir uns trotzdem durchgerungen und uns an dem abend für die kartoffelburg entschieden. Leider hat man schon am empfang die überforderung des personals miterleben können. dank unserer aktiven hilfe bei der platzwahl konnten wir nach längerer wartezeit endlich einen tisch besetzen. wir empfanden aus eigener sicht die bedienung als sehr schnippisch und anmaßend. Die getränke sowie die vorspeise wurde recht zeitnah serviert . Die soljanka hat gut gemundet . nebenbei konnte man beobachten wie einige gäste sehr lange auf die speisekarte warten mussten. Der hauptgang war eher mäßig bis kaum genießbar ... das schweineschnitzel war sehr fade ebenfalls das brätel. das tk gemüse war zerkocht . alles in allem haben sich hier einige negative bewertungen leider bestätigt . das preis leistungsverhältnis hat für uns nicht gestimmt .

Wonderful food. When we are in Zinnowitz we always have to eat here. Top staff. Funny, relaxed. The pork knuckle is highly recommended and the chicken breast was super tasty. There are enough seats. However, you cannot reserve here.

We ate there with 4 people. The food came very quickly, which is not a good sign for me and unfortunately everyone didn't like it at all. 3 main courses, 1 soup, 4 drinks 120 € .... unfortunately thumbs down!!!!

Without a reservation, we went inside to a four-person table. Unfortunately the interior is a bit worn. The tables are quite narrow. There may be a general overhaul here. The food scores points for that. Everything was fine here, no matter which plate you looked at. Around 20 euros for a main course and four drinks together with 96 euros, the price is definitely justified these days and for the location. The service is quick and courteous. A spilled beer was immediately corrected. The choice of food is varied and people nostalgic for the GDR, as well as the future generation, are sure to find something tasty here. All extra requests were made possible.

We wanted to reserve a table for 7 people the day before our attempt to eat at the potato castle. This was also rejected due to the fact that it is not easy to find a table in the holiday resorts without a reservation. We auditioned based on the staff's recommendation and were able to eat at a typical table for four with additional chairs at the front and a children's chair. The table alone seemed far too small for us. When I asked if it would be possible to push two tables together, this was refused. So we couldn't eat in the potato castle that evening. We were very disappointed because in our opinion it would not have been a problem to put two tables together. Not recommended for larger groups or families.

Wanted to eat out in a group of 7 people, no problem in previous years. At first a reservation was not accepted and you had to come by if you were lucky. Seven people were then supposed to sit at a table for 6 people; there was no way to push two tables together. Unfortunately the service has declined over the last year. We then visited another restaurant.

My daughter and I are always thrilled with the food. Everything tastes delicious and the prices are justified. In my opinion, the portions here are at least fresh and sufficient, in contrast to many other restaurants in Zinnowitz. The service staff are very nice and we also have our favorite employee 👻 Every holiday there has/is/will be one to three visits there 😎

The food was very tasty. We were very satisfied, even though the cucumber salad only came at the end, apparently as a dessert. The bill shocked us a little. To be honest, we have never experienced a 0.4 Diet Coke for €7.90. A 0.4 Diet Coke wasn't on the menu either

Wir waren 2x innerhalb von paar Tagen und wurden jedesmal nicht enttäuscht, wir hatten das Hamburger Schnitzel mit Champignons Soße extra. Das Essen war das Geld (25euro) wert!!!! Ein Klasse Schnitzel mit Super Beilagen und super lecker Wir kommen nächstes Jahr aufjedenfall wieder. Bedienung/Kellner war völlig ok und nett trotz aller Bemerkungen hier ..... Diese Lokalität ist definitiv zu empfehlen!!!!

The restaurant is not recommended. It's not worth a star. The food offered was very bad. I wonder if the chef has no honor in his body. Starter: Lard without brown bread, served with a cheap sliced ​​baguette. Main course: Farmer's brawn which consisted of over-acidic gelatine with pieces of sausage. Plus fried potatoes that weren't even remotely crispy and a white cabbage salad that was on the plates here 40 years ago. The remulade was of course out of the bucket. I don't understand how people can cook so badly and charge their guests exorbitant prices for it.

Seldom eaten so badly! Liver with apple rings was ordered, unfortunately the liver was lukewarm and dry. When it came to the apple rings (note plural), there were two. Potato casserole with vegetables was more of a potato casserole, with a cauliflower stalk instead of cauliflower florets, a (really just one) broccoli floret with a frozen aftertaste and leftover potatoes (from almost raw, to two normal pieces, and leftover fried potatoes?) Third dish: pasta with Jägerschnitzel. Pasta and Jägerschnitzel okay, sauce very runny. Price-performance ratio is not right at all. Last but not least. Tables that are not clean, dishes that are smeared and the waiter's thumb in the food are a no-go!

We were lucky and were able to choose a table. Painting supplies for the little ones were brought to us without being asked shortly after the menu - great! After quickly ordering, the food was brought within 20 minutes and everyone enjoyed it very much. The prices for food and drinks were absolutely fine. Taking away the leftovers was also free of charge. All around excellent evening. We can only recommend the Cartollel Castle!

Price/performance is pretty good. The steak was ordered cooked medium, but it was cooked through. The taste is okay, but you can't go wrong with frozen products. I would have liked fresh potato products in a shop called Potato Castle. Instead, the croquettes, potato pancakes, potato pockets, potato rosti were all just frozen goods. It's a shame actually. The price is also more upscale instead of middle class. We won't go there again.

An sich war das Essen okay. Preislich eher naja. Kroketten, kartoffeltaschen, Rösti, kartoffelpuffer alles TK-Ware. Von einem Laden der sich Kartoffelburg nennt, hätte ich mehr frische erwartet. Das Rumpsteak wurde ausdrücklich Medium bestellt, wurde aber durch serviert. Sehr schade. Freundlichkeit war auch nicht pralle. Preis war eher gehoben.

We wanted to dine there during our vacation, but it didn't happen. The restaurant was already full and fully booked for the rest of the day. Which isn't a bad thing, we came up with the idea spontaneously. But the way the head waiter told us this didn't work at all. A musty “Everything’s full!” was the only thing that came out of his mouth.

Unfortunately, Smutje tried to trick and mix his old, burnt fried potatoes with fresh, raw potatoes, resulting in an inedible mix of potatoes with fresh eggs. Even without freshly fried bacon or onions. It does not work! Nevertheless, very tolerant behavior from the staff. Maybe we were just unlucky.
