The tastiest tapas are at Altamira! :) It's always busy, but it's a little louder at peak times. However, you don't have to wait very long for your food. I can only recommend it!

One of my favorite tapas restaurants in Hamburg – the price-performance ratio is really great! In summer I definitely recommend sitting outside and enjoying the weather (that's where my pictures come from 😉). But it is also pleasant and cozy in the winter garden. We actually like all the dishes here, but our favorites are definitely the breaded chicken breast fillet rolls with Manchego & Serrano, the chicken wings, the croquettes and of course the pimientos 😍 The dessert is also great, we love the almond cake and the fruit ice cream. The service is always super nice, and if you're lucky, you'll even get a little surprise on the house every now and then. Absolute recommendation for all tapas lovers!

No. The restaurant is very well attended and is probably very appreciated. But if you take a look at the ice-cold winter garden and look, it becomes clear that it is a hovel. Dirty, worn out. A place that makes you want to go anywhere else, but just not for expensive food.

It smokes and smells like cheap, old fat mixed with fish in front of the shop, which is unbearable. It used to be quite nice, now it's just tourists and packaged food, it's just warmed up and not freshly cooked.

Food tastes good. As a man, I have to eat several tapas to get full. This makes a visit more expensive than if I were to eat somewhere else. I don't think the decor is that pretty.

I have been going to this restaurant since 2016, 8 years!! And the quality was much higher than now, portions were larger and prices were lower. The Sangria was very good but today it was very disappointing: 90% ice, 10% wine!!! I'm sorry, you were one of my favorite restaurants but today it was very disappointing.

Interesting location. You're sitting in a kind of "greenhouse", almost everything is covered with glass. The menu is very extensive, the food was very tasty and the service staff were very friendly.

A Spanish restaurant located directly at the Ottensen train station. It looks a bit cobbled together, but that doesn't detract from the ambience and, above all, the delicious cuisine. There are really many variations of tapas. You can order for every taste and share with each other. The drinks are also very tasty. The service was very good and quick. We'll definitely go there again.

Six of us came on Sat at prime time without a reservation. It was very crowded, but we were assigned a nice seat in 2 minutes! The food is good, quick and hot. The staff very friendly. A nice evening.

Only 4 vegan tapas and a loveless, simple salad, everything was a bit of a mess in terms of service and we sat cramped in a drafty tent annex (?). It wasn't nice when you looked at the ceiling/in the corner...

We were there on a Tuesday. Unfortunately it is very loud there. The food was very tasty. Unfortunately, we always have to wait a little longer for the drinks before we could order them and also until they were brought.

Great tapas bar that at second glance has really reasonable prices. Portion size significantly larger and good quality than standard in Hamburg. Recommendation, but be careful: make a reservation.

We are rarely here because the price is not insignificant. 2 days ago we paid almost €200 with 4 adults and 1 child (5 years). 1 round of regular drinks, 1 non-alcoholic cocktail, 1 glass of red wine, 1 double espresso and 1 digestive. Plus 4 desserts. If you don't like noise while eating, this is definitely the wrong place for you. Service nice and attentive.

Has had better days. Service would have to learn our conditions again. The other forces were very attentive. The food was okay, but not as great as before. The plates had been prepared for too long, so the sauce was already solid and had skin on it. Two options. Either the telleeary has been ready for too long or there are not enough staff.

We were here to test for a company dinner. The service was very friendly and quick, but also a bit inattentive. Our table was a bit too small for two people in a tapas bar if you expect 2-3 tapas per person, bread basket and drinks. The bread that was served at the beginning was unfortunately very tasteless, the olives were good. The selection of tapas is large, but the taste is not really convincing. The rabbit was tasty, the chicken in brandy sauce was rather boring, as were the stuffed tomatoes. Overall, we were rather disappointed, but we had very nice neighbors at the table with whom we exchanged a word or two despite the noise. The company dinner will take place somewhere else

For over 10 years there have been delicious tapas, lots of choice and a pleasant atmosphere here. We had such wonderful moments here during the European Championships and World Cup, but unfortunately football is no longer broadcast here.

To be a Latin restaurant with Spanish food, the truth is that I suggest that you improve your frozen quality, and keep an eye on the age of your products, since we had to return some dishes due to the strong smell and strange flavor, the meat was somewhat dry. and nothing to do with the description of the dish.

A culinary institution in Ottensen! From the outside, the store looks like a garden arbor - completely different from the hip competition that advertises with cheeky neon signs. And inside: huge, cozy restaurant, very tasty, varied food at affordable prices, nice, fast and courteous service. We'd love to come back because we haven't tried the entire menu yet ☺️

I wanted to make a reservation for 2 people over the phone. They said I didn't need it. "Just come over" When we got there we were sent past everyone and into the tent. So where you don't want to sit. It's cold, damp and the ambience is terrible as you can see in the picture. This is of course a great way to celebrate your wife's birthday. But that will be the last time. We won't come back here again. Service is different.

The food was delicious, but unfortunately we had to wait an hour and a half for the food because they forgot about us. The staff walked past us the whole time, but no one asked at least once if everything was okay. We thought it would take so long because it was so busy, as our drink order also took a little longer. But then we noticed that the staff was starting to get into the mood for work and a chef noticed our looks so he pointed out to a waitress that she should ask us. At the end we stood at the front with other guests to pay. For some reason, when it was our turn, they preferred the lady behind us and we had to wait again. It's nice there and the food was good, but I would try other restaurants before I go there again.

Unfortunately the service is really poor. Very inattentive, wrong food, forgotten bills, no drinks for ages. If you want to drink something while eating, no chance to order. It's a bit of a shame because the food is good, but the overall package has to be right. Way too loud that you have to shout at each other. Value for money 6/10

I think it's great here. Was there for the second time. Once just the two of us, the last time there were four of us. The waiters are all really nice and humorous! The food is absolutely great and also sufficient! Price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The time it takes before you can order something new is also reasonable, as it is always busy. Sometimes you just have to draw attention to yourself, but then it works! I'll be back!!!

Whenever I'm in Hamburg I try to get a table here and enjoy the whole evening with all the different tapas even after the last visit. Once the decision has been made, I will always recommend this place, especially to friends

The atmosphere and staff were great but the food was not that good.

I went here spontaneously for dinner with a friend. The ambience with the glass house and the trees outside is very inviting. At the beginning you are given a card to select and "tick" the dishes, which you can choose from the extensive range on offer. Like the drinks, these arrived quickly. The tapas were all okay and tasted good too. Unfortunately there are deductions for the service. Reordering drinks or a dessert took a long time. I would have liked to have asked questions along the way.

This was our first time at Altamira and we absolutely loved it! The tapas were all absolutely delicious, the best tapas we have ever tasted. The service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy. The only downside: it is quite loud in the Altamira. But that doesn't diminish our enthusiasm!!!

Traditionally good tapas in a huge selection, always served fresh and delicious. A large selection of drinks to match - across the Spanish diversity. Very friendly staff, the dining room has not been visually upgraded for years, the outdoor dining area could be designed to be more comfortable and inviting.

My friend and I went to this tapas bar for the first time. My friend lived in Spain and knows their cuisine. It was the first time I tried Spanish dishes. In general, we really liked everything, delicious food, cozy room (the toilet room is 100% decorated in Spanish style). Olives and bread were provided free of charge. But my friend noticed that in Spain you can also get alioli for free, but here you have to pay extra for it. We ordered a starter, a hot dish, dessert and half a liter of water and paid 32 euros for everything. For some reason it wasn't possible to pay by card (the machine showed an error), so we paid in cash.

Tapas always work. In itself a nice atmosphere and the food is good, but unfortunately mostly unspectacular. At least of the 8 tapas, only 2 stood out. The patatas bravas, for example, could use more spice on the potatoes or in the sauce.

Friendly staff and good service. Food was mediocre however, lots of the tapas dishes we ordered were served lukewarm and did not taste freshly made. The atmosphere is nice though, the restaurant is located in what seems to be an old greenhouse. This allows for a great atmosphere but due to the glass the acoustics aren’t great. So it may be difficult for people with poor hearing to hear one another.

The service was very attentive and everyone was super friendly. The food was just so good! Calamares were perfect, not at all tough, not even the fried ones, the sangria was also really good (didn't have a headache the day after). The food came warm and we didn't have to wait long for it. We would have liked to eat up and down the entire menu, but unfortunately that would have been too much. But we'll be back. Price performance is excellent. You get incredibly good quality food and preparation for your money, thank you very much!

Traditional, rustic and incredibly delicious!! Altamira is our absolute favorite tapas shop in Hamburg. From the outside the restaurant seems quite inconspicuous, but inside it is charming. The rustic and down-to-earth flair fits perfectly into the winter garden-like interior. The drinks and food are fantastic. The tapas portions are plentiful!!! And the price-performance ratio is fantastic. We have visited many times with friends or family visiting. Everyone was thrilled! There are always enough staff and the tone is very relaxed and familiar. Not least because of the noise when the house is full, we always feel like we're somewhere in Spain, but that's part of such a convivial meal! ;) Thank you very much and see you next time!

Very tasty tapas and very large selection for all tastes, even for those with intolerances. Be sure to reserve in advance as it is usually full. A few points deducted for the ambience. For me, Altamira is not a restaurant for candlelight dinners, but rather for an entertaining evening with friends over Spanish delicacies.

Maximum points for service and ambience, unfortunately only 3/5 for food. Great atmosphere and the staff, despite being busy, are very relaxed and ready for a nice chat. We had a total of six different tapas, which were really just average. Unfortunately, the recommended wines did not correspond to the recommendation and unfortunately I was only able to finish half of mine.
