Very friendly and helpful staff, good selection of food, plentiful and very tasty.

We were there today with a larger group and everyone had a very positive impression of this place. Although it focuses more on tapas, we were all served one of the best cuts of meat ever. Cooked to perfection and of top quality. All the tapas (chorizo, mushrooms, prawns, etc.) were also super fresh and delicious. TOP recommendation in Hamburg!

We came here for tapas. A nice selection and incredibly delicious. Especially the aioli—I've never had a better one! The crema Catalana for dessert was also outstanding. The service was also very friendly and welcoming. We'd love to come back next time we're in Hamburg.

A very good address in the Portuguese Quarter. We went there with two adults and one child without a reservation, and it was no problem. The service is typically relaxed, casual, and friendly, in a typical southern style. The staff takes the time for a quick chat without making you feel like you're waiting long. The food was excellent and worth every penny. You should definitely choose something with fish or the paella here. (Unfortunately, I didn't try it, but I saw it at the next table; I was about to order something else.) Both the pan-fried fish and the turbot were super delicious. Topped with crème Catalina, of course.

It was a nice place, good menu and a lot of options to choose from. I’m Mexican so I know about Churros, these are definitely not the OG but a great attempt. I would say 7/10, Nutella and milk chocolate made them great. Good matcha and a lot of drinking choices. I only had the base churros (sugar and cinnamon) with Nutella and Chocolate topping. Recommend for a sweet treat, quite filling.

We had a Valencian paella. It was fresh and good. However, there were many small bone fragments hidden in the rice, which noticeably detracted from the enjoyment. We had an outside seat and were largely ignored by the service staff, which was a shame. The restaurant has a lot of potential if the aforementioned aspects were improved.

A decent establishment in itself, but Rocco simply included the chef's welcome drink in the bill, which I hadn't experienced before. The food was tasty, even if the meat was a bit dry, but as the wait increased, I got the feeling that Rocco was a bit overzealous because he wasn't getting to the table as quickly as customers wanted.

There have been long waits, but they've always been handled with a lot of heart. The food was all good to very good. The wine selection was good, but there was room for improvement. We'd be happy to come back.

My only advice is to never go to this poor quality restaurant. You might think that I am saying this out of hostility, but it really has the worst quality of food. My friend, the first time I ate in this restaurant, I had a heartache for two days. The second time I thought to myself, maybe this time the quality will be better, but unfortunately, this time is worse than the first time. People who go to this restaurant are forced to eat two bolani, it is better than the food of this restaurant. The owner of the restaurant also shows his personality to his customers with frequent inappropriate and disrespectful behavior. Please don't ever go to this restaurant and even trying it once is a waste of time and a risk.

We were in Hamburg for the weekend and spontaneously decided to have Spanish food. At 5:00 p.m. sharp, we were the first guests and received very friendly service. We ordered warm appetizers for two, a redfish, and a mixed fish platter. The food was very tastefully prepared. The tapas were extremely tasty. From the bar to the waitress, everyone was very attentive. We'll be back.

Das Portugiesen-Viertel hat Flair insbesondere an schönen Tagen in Hamburg. Gutes Essen ist leider rar - so leider auch im Casa Ricardo mit spanischer Küche. Die Croquetas de Jamón waren hart, die Gambas al ajillo mit 19,80 teuer durchschnittlich gemacht und mit wenig Salsa. Das Kaninchen war trocken und ohne Geschmack. Lediglich die Tomatensauce hat geschmeckt. Wir waren nicht auf moderen Tapas eingestellt. Die gibt es im Portugiesen-Viertel vermutlich nicht. Aber hier wurde selbst eine ordentliche Zubereitung unterschritten. Die Bedienung war freundlich.

Very nice employees “on their toes”... Delicious food, varied and fair prices. The sangria can't be beat, lots of fruit and super tasty. The ambience is pleasant.

This was really a big disappointment and a classic rip-off in the famous district. The portions are too too small and instead over 7€…. Sangria was like promotional wine at the end of the day in a bar just around the corner. Paella is mediocre and not at all close to what you eat in Spain... They speak Spanish inside but it's a far cry from Spanish cuisine. I don't think we paid €120 for that yet.

The two of us spontaneously went there on Saturday without a reservation and were lucky with the last free table. There was a great paella and a very tasty sangria. Great service, big recommendation!!

Even though we didn't make a reservation, we still got a free table. The restaurant isn't that big, nor is it loud, we felt right at home here. We had the sangria to drink, which was delicious 😋. We then ordered the tapas plate, a small change in the selection was easy. The food was served quickly and was plentiful and delicious. The service is also great. We'll be back 🙂

We were visiting Hamburg for two days and stumbled upon "Casa Ricardo" near our hotel. The two of us had three different tapas (grilled vegetables, calamari, and gratinated goat cheese), which were absolutely delicious. We started with crusty bread and an aioli – the most delicious I've ever tasted... So, after an hour and a half, we left this friendly and unusually quiet restaurant full and satisfied. Many thanks to the very friendly and attentive staff!

I've rarely eaten such delicious paella! A small but very cozy restaurant with friendly staff, which is evident from the moment you make your reservation. Guests feel very welcome here. Card payments are easily accepted. We'd be happy to return. Advance reservations are recommended.

Very tasty warm tapas and the Rioja is great with it

I was a guest at this Spanish restaurant in Hamburg recently and was overall absolutely satisfied with the quality and taste of the food I received. As a greeting from the kitchen, I was served a really tasty, garlicky aioli with toasted bread, which I hadn't eaten so well in a long time. For the main course I ordered a steak and received a piece of meat of very good quality and a perfect cooking point for me, without my preference for cooking point being questioned. In terms of taste, the main course was really tasty with a good amount, although the meat itself could have used a little more seasoning. I also really enjoyed the dessert I chose. The restaurant with a small bar area is overall attractively and harmoniously furnished, and offers a nice, cozy atmosphere in the style of a Spanish tapas bar thanks to many stone elements, an archway and dark furniture. The lady in service was very friendly and the food was served in a reasonable time. Overall, I would happily recommend this restaurant and would visit it again myself.

We were the first guests that evening and were welcomed by a super friendly and warm waitress. The entire staff is very warm, authentic and you feel a little like you have been transported to your last holiday in Spain. The food was definitely a highlight of our visit to Hamburg. The mussels in tomato sauce and the croquetas de jamon are highly recommended. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Hamburg. In addition, the price-performance ratio was great.

We were in Hamburg with friends over the weekend. Finally today we went to the Portuguese Quarter and we met this wonderful Spaniard. The waitress was very friendly to us as soon as we walked in. We had some tapas as a starter and the oven-baked lamb shoulder as a main course to share - which was definitely enough! - and were very satisfied with the nice service and the quality of the food. Wir sind ohne Reservierung gekommen, weil wir zufällig in der Nähe waren. Nach der freundlichen Begrüßung haben wir einen Tisch bekommen und haben ausgezeichnet gegessen. Wie schon bei den vorherigen Besuchen war das Essen perfekt. Sehr lecker zubereitet und die Portionen ausreichend. Es ist sehr gemütlich und das Personal ausgesprochen aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

We had 2 starters and a main course for 2 and it was more than enough, so we still had room for dessert. Unfortunately the atmosphere isn't very inviting, but I can't say anything negative about the food.

Auf dem Weg zu den Landungsbrücken haben wir unter Zeitdruck ein Restaurant gesucht. Zufällig fanden wir das Casa Ricardo. Gute Wahl. Die Tapas waren perfekt, Pulpo a feira dehr empfehlenswert. Schade dass wir nicht mehr Zeit mitgebracht hatten. Beim nächsten Besuch in Hamburg wieder sehr gerne.

A month ago in this establishment and the service was wonderful and the food prepared was sooo delicious. But the other day I only had a negative aftertaste from visiting this establishment. For all categories. And on top of that there was poisoning from not fresh oysters... Unexpected negative dinner!!!

We went for dinner as a family of 4. An absolute disaster and comparable to the Paulaner Garden. When serving, glasses are touched directly at the top edge, so fingerprints can be seen. Who dares to put their mouth on the surface where the waiter touched and perhaps didn't disinfect their hands beforehand? The starter took at least 1 hour to be served to our table. All main dishes were brought to other customers, including the customers who came after us, and they were fully served in the entire room, where we had not seen any guests in other rooms when we came in. No questions asked as to whether everything was good and whether it tasted good. The soups are not soup, but colored water because they have no taste and cheese plates also taste like they were bought from the supermarket. We had been sitting with empty plates for more than 30 minutes and when a waiter wanted to clear them away, he didn't ask, he just cleaned up the plates and left there. Main course is already a minus point. Food only came back after 2 hours and no good appetite, without words. Food is served very cold and completely salty. I would actually like to order dessert, but as slow as a waiter is, we don't feel like it anymore. Things get uncomfortable again when paying. Instead of simply typing in the bill, he immediately became pushy and wanted to ask us to leave a tip, which we immediately refused. I mean if the service, food and attention is so lacking, the restaurant definitely doesn't deserve a tip from us. In other restaurants, the first guest would have gone straight to the front after waiting 30 minutes for an appetizer and complained why the food wasn't there. Some guests simply got up and walked away without paying.

Got a table for 2 people without a reservation. Lucky you.!! In the right place at the right moment...so a reservation is an advantage. Very nice service and good food.. A tapas platter for two, plus aioli and bread was enough for us and tasted very good. If you like dry red wine, you'll definitely be in good hands with the house wine. We will definitely visit the restaurant again in the near future.

Unfortunately the paella was nothing, the rice had a lot of bite and was quite dry. The cola was no longer carbonated... Unfortunately there was no air conditioning, we and everyone else were sweating on our foreheads. Friendly but inattentive and overwhelmed staff. Too bad...

We ate paella. Enough for two people. It could have used a little more spiciness but otherwise very good. As a greeting from the kitchen there were baguette slices with a garlic oil cream. We were sitting outside and had the misfortune that an unpleasant smell came from the canal that was right next to us. Otherwise, you can recommend this restaurant for Spanish food.

Typical Spanish restaurant right in the heart of Hamburg's Portuguese Quarter. Absolutely authentic! The service was great! The sea bream tasted good but unfortunately dry. The grilled squid also tasted good but unfortunately a bit rubbery.

Paella was really good, like in Spain. The octopus was soft and tender.
