Restaurant in Leinfelden-Echterdingen

Perfect all around! The Maultaschen are delicious, the onion roast was cooked to perfection, and all the staff were extremely friendly. The other guests were also welcoming. We felt very comfortable :)

Our mission to "find the best roast beef with onions" led us to the restaurant at the Schützenhaus Musberg. When we arrived, we discovered that roast beef with onions was missing from the menu, unlike the online version. Our long faces prompted the proprietor to conjure up a magic trick, and we ended up with two portions of the Swabian national dish. And what can I say, the trip to the Musberg Forest was definitely worth it! Delicious roast beef with onions, cooked to perfection, served with spaetzle and gravy, and plenty of gravy (in the special gravy jug). Unfortunately, those were probably the last portions of this delicious dish for now, which made it all the more delicious, and I think we'll be back again sometime to try the other dishes on the menu.

Ordered several times for pickup. They always included croutons that weren't ordered. Other items were missing from the desired bowl – sometimes costing up to €5 – that's simply unacceptable. Sorry, but we've missed our chance... We'll never order from them again.

Service, ambiance, and especially the food—everything was superb and definitely deserves 5 stars! In our case, we arrived late from a walk and were warmly welcomed, served, and enjoyed a delicious meal. A very kind lady has run the restaurant since 1956 and cooks fresh Swabian home-style dishes daily—just like Grandma used to make! Time seems to have stood still in this authentic establishment, and we felt it too while eating, because it was so delicious! We had a succulent, flavorful, and well-marbled Sauerbraten with hand-cut Spätzle! The Zieglerstüble is truly a rare gem!
