Went to Redo as a group on Sunday evening. Respect for the young man (Leon). Not only does he keep track of the orders in a friendly and quick-witted manner, he also always has a quick saying and has excellent control of the store. It's no longer a given today, thumbs up!

We went to Redo Potsdam for lunch today, the service was very friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious and sufficient. We'll definitely be back.

Huge portions - real XXL, and delicious food! We recommend the ribs, which we really liked. Additionally, great atmosphere, friendly service and the restaurant open until late. I highly recommend it!

Had dinner at Redo XXL yesterday. It was super tasty and the portions were huge. One of the chefs (Benjamin) also took the time to talk to the customers and ask if they enjoyed it. Top service!

It was supposed to be a nice evening at the redoXXL in Potsdam, unfortunately it was more than disappointing. We were a total of 14 people including two children. The restaurant was busy, there were 3 service employees, everything took forever. We had pre-ordered two Kaiser platters and ordered a portion of mashed potatoes for one child. The drink order was taken relatively quickly, after three quarters of an hour the first half of the drinks arrived, the other drinks, including those of the children, had to wait further. In the meantime the first plate was brought out - lukewarm - we still had plates at that point none, these came and went back immediately, none of the 14 plates were clean!! Small plates were then brought, we still had to wait for the drinks, while after another 10 minutes the second plate came and then at some point the remaining drinks came, the child for whom we ordered the mashed potatoes had to keep waiting after we After reminding us three times, it came at some point... there were fried onions on the mashed potatoes... for a child... the cook meant too well... of course the child didn't eat it. The sauces we ordered were sour. The drinks were brought into glasses that were already cracked; one child's full glass was completely broken. When asked about this, they knew about the problem of thin lenses. In fact, the only positive thing was that even though it was full, it wasn't extremely loud. Otherwise I can't say anything positive, you can definitely eat better in Potsdam. Absolutely not recommended with children.

Good restaurant with a cool concept. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. The Kaiserplatte we ordered was enough for six people. The employee was very friendly and, after consulting in the kitchen, was able to answer questions about allergies.

Service very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, some of the food was cold and the desired degree of doneness of the meat (medium) could not be delivered. The fried potatoes were completely pale and not even remotely crispy. Unfortunately, onions and diced ham etc. were completely missing. The food is definitely not a problem here, the schnitzel was almost perfect. However, I have to say that the toilet smell in the entrance area and the partially damaged and dirty plates don't do the place justice. Cool restaurant with a brilliant concept. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was good and sufficient. The price was reasonable. The Schnorrer plate is particularly good. The ribs are very good 👍. The same applies to the currywurst. We had the Kaiserplatte and it was enough for six people.

The food wasn't great this time. Had mashed potatoes with liver, wasn't worth the money. Another negative thing was that I couldn't pay with my cell phone, especially in this day and age. Otherwise it was okay.

We went there specifically because we just wanted to try it out. The quantity was okay for the price, unfortunately there were no chicken wings on our Kaiserplatte, they were completely missing. Sunday is family day but I didn't find a children's menu on the table. The menu on the table had seen better days and could use some updating. The ambience wasn't great. Next time I would probably choose another restaurant from Redo. Toilet was clean but it took a while for the motion detector to turn on the light. I was looking for the fun moment that is advertised everywhere. Food is okay but the big thing is not the crowds.

Unfortunately the service failed completely. As a couple on a Friday evening, it's one thing that others ignore you and then get cheeky answers. It's a shame, we'll never come back.

Have been here several times. It's always an experience, everything is wonderful. Went there yesterday with the family, everyone had a lot of fun and of course we carried the obligatory bags with the leftovers home. The service was again absolutely friendly and we had a few jokes despite the crowds. The schnitzels always taste delicious. We didn't get full marks because we have the impression (only our subjective one, of course) that the fries and side dishes are getting smaller and smaller. Three visits this year. Conclusion, absolutely recommended, even with children…

As in almost all Redo stores. Bad service, substandard quality of ingredients. Most of the time something is wrong. Sanitary facilities precarious. Friends complained extensively. No reaction.

It's been a long time since we've been there and we were thrilled again. Prices are great, service was very nice and the food tasted great. The star deduction applies to the toilets. The toilet seat was missing from the men's toilet (according to the waiter for 2 weeks), 1 women's toilet was broken and the drying towels were missing from the other toilets.

Huge portions that are easy to share with each other. Very friendly staff and extremely fair prices. An absolute recommendation!!!!!

The store is the biggest garbage. Table ordered and was simply not entered. The staff speaks little to no German. You can also forget to eat and it takes far too long. The store is simply unusable.

Are you hungry? Then EAT HERE to your heart's content. The XL Schnitzel (400grams) with fries was on a platter measuring 40cm x 40cm. If you leave here hungry, there's something really wrong in the world.

We spontaneously called to see if there was a table available if we had to travel 120 km Due to the traffic jam we were 40 minutes late. The hut was full and we had to wait a bit, but it wasn't a big deal as we were too late. Staff was super friendly. The place was packed (staff always with a smile on their faces) despite the stress. Unfortunately, the meat from all 8 burgers we ordered was cold. After the dishes went back to the kitchen, the coleslaw was apparently empty, as it was replaced with a few lettuce leaves without comment. Transparency and communication would have been desirable there. Service was still great - very friendly and super committed!

Food and drinks were good. Service was miserable. Waited 45 minutes for the first drink. Staff not attentive. After placing the order, you will first go for a smoke before the order is processed.

Unfortunately we were disappointed. Had dinner there on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. with a reservation. Or rather, I'm still sitting at the table and feel compelled to write a review straight away. Right from the start when you enter the restaurant between the two rooms there is a strong smell of sewage and urine. The toilet on the right is missing its toilet lid and is ostentatiously placed on the window sill. Apparently there was no cleaning here either. Instead of paper towels there was a kitchen roll on the sink. The toilet on the other side of the restaurant was not clean and is suitable for small to medium sized people. There is little space available. The service with one waiter for the whole restaurant is very slow. The waiter is nice and friendly but clearly overwhelmed and fortunately the restaurant is not full. But you also notice the dissatisfaction at the neighboring tables and notice that other guests also have to wait a long time for drinks, bills and food. We used our neighboring table to get rid of our dishes for the next course. The food looked well prepared. Unfortunately, the orders weren't processed quite correctly and of course there were delays and we couldn't start at the same time. The taste was ok but my schnitzel wasn't completely cooked either. My GDR solijanka only contained minced meat and didn't come close to the taste of the GDR recipe, but it was ok. The drinks were delicious, cold and stylishly presented. Unfortunately we couldn't pay with Applepay because the card machine was broken. Overall we were very disappointed. The impressions on social media had promised us otherwise.

Food was absolutely not reasonable! The fried potatoes just tasted like old fat and the schnitzel wasn't a hit either. I definitely won't come here again!

We haven't had such a bad meal in a long time...we wanted to try it. .The Redo XXL has nothing to do with gastronomy at all. Bistro food, at gastronomy prices. Finished products... If you celebrate the concept with the XXL schnitzel etc., it's okay, but the normal portions have nothing to do with cooking. A disgrace for the craft..Starters taste like nothing, garlic baguette is already rock hard and no seasoning..Jagdwurst is not hunting sausage but pre-breaded beer sausage, the cheapest pasta you can find..zero spices..zero love for it. So if you value good food...you should give it a wide berth! Too bad

Food OK, but you can't go wrong with schnitzel. The service was absolutely poor. Electronic ordering not possible, service then has no idea about their own offers. Clearing tables doesn't seem to be a common thing here; people walked past several tables, but the dirty dishes remained. Well, you don't have to have that again... Unfortunately, in the end you couldn't pay contactless because the device probably fell down.

Unfortunately very disappointed! Waiting time for food was 80 minutes!!!! When asked, it was explained that the kitchen was currently very busy. But at least there was a “short” on the house as a consolation! To eat: Some of the fried potatoes were not cooked through and some were cold. The schnitzel was so heavily fried or baked on the edge that it was hard and dry. Sauces were heavily flour-heavy. Knobi sauce was ordered with the baked mushrooms, but sourceme came. Service only came upon request, no question as to whether it tasted good. Very unfortunate. We've been coming here for years, whenever we vacation in Potsdam. Unfortunately, the service in particular declined from time to time. We will not be coming back for these reasons.

Agreed pick-up times serve as a rough guide even though the restaurant was empty. After almost half an hour late, the food finally arrived. No apologies…extremely unprofessional. Now about the food: Jägerschnitzel -> full of cartilage GDR Soljanka according to the card = 3/4L -> reweighed at home = 403ml including the assiette into which it was filled. In my opinion this is clear fraud on the guest. I have tried to contact the Redo group to clarify the matter but so far no response.

The service was very friendly. However, the steak was lukewarm and tough as a shoe sole 😞

Hello Team Redoxxl We have one point of criticism: if we order knoffi bread it should contain at least a hint of garlic. Otherwise the hamburger was okay. What caused some irritation was the oats on the bun

It took 1h15 from ordering to eating, even though the restaurant wasn't full. Unfortunately, this spoils the overall impression.

Service hardly comes, last meal came when the first was finished, food average quality, Instead of beef schnitzel there was pork schnitzel, the bill came after 1/2 hour after several requests, the ambience was actually nice, the service was friendly

After a walk through the Dutch Quarter, we ate lunch on the terrace with a view of the Nauener Tor. Drinks and food large and tasty... We liked the homemade lemonades best... There is plenty of space on the terrace, but also inside. Only the sanitary area still has reserves...

After waiting almost 2 hours for our food, we got the first three dishes (out of seven) cold! Including schnitzel, rump steak & chicken. Cold sauces, old fries, ancient salad as a side dish. Then another 2 dishes came. Not completely cold, but not hot either, let alone warm! Until then, none of us had any cutlery! So the rest of the food got just as cold. We looked for our cutlery from our neighbors. Really embarrassing. After the last two meals came, the cutlery also came. Unfortunately, far too late. The last few meals were ok. Oh well. There was a whopping 30 minutes between the first meal and the last. Such an unheard of thing. Various staff asked 3 times what was going on. If you haven't figured this out in the meantime, you've probably ended up in the wrong job. In addition, the “Mojito” only consisted of alcohol. It was a horror meal! We will never go to this store again!

The schnitzel was good, of course it can't be compared with a good Viennese schnitzel, but I don't rate this restaurant as a comparison to local/upscale cuisine either :) Perfect for a day of eating. The fries and salad were very good. Fries very crispy and well fried. As a customer you definitely feel like you are in good hands.

We were served quickly, but unfortunately some of the staff lacked the ability to speak. Unfortunately, we also had to ask for cutlery and it was also streaky. The lemonades were ok, but nothing special and not very refreshing. We ate the 2kg schnitzel with “a huge pile” of fries. The schnitzel was ok, but strangely fatty and wobbly in places and the breading wasn't particularly crispy. Price-performance ratio is just right, but only because we divided it between 5 people. Both the fries and the meat lacked seasoning. The side salad was a bit sad somehow. Dry, desolate and very little. There was also mushroom cream sauce, pepper cream sauce and hollandaise sauce. The pepper sauce had something, but overall the sauces were more soggy and mushy than creamy and wholesome. Not worth a cent to be honest. If you want to see large portions you can spend your money here, but I was looking for really good quality in vain.

We stopped there spontaneously and it was a good decision. The cocktails are super delicious. The xxl schnitzel tasted very good and we also liked the ambience inside and outside. The young waiter was willing to talk and nice. The device with the buttons (ON THE PHOTO) is a great invention and I didn't know it yet. I can definitely recommend you. The weather was good and you can also sit outside. Great food, super friendly staff, waiting time was ok. I have rarely eaten so well, so much and really cheaply. A must for me on my next stay in Potsdam. Be sure to pay attention to the xxl 😀. You can feed a whole family with a meat platter or pasta for little money and it was delicious too. Keep it up guys. Gladly again.

These are really large, XXL portions. Not only MSse are offered here, but also class. The dishes are super delicious! Everyone gets full here and takes something home with them. Super tasty meat, great! Service is very attentive, even if the concept of ordering everything via cell phone is prone to errors given the large selection with many variations. At least you can still order from a waiter😉 Unfortunately the waiting time for the food is long (we waited over 50 minutes for 3 dishes and the starter soup came last!!!) The excuse was the normal: new chef etc... There are a lot of places, both inside and outside. Value for money is great, we would love to come back.

XXL Restaurant REDO, I knew it from films and television, so it was necessary to stop by for a visit. We were lucky and got a seat outside. You should take some time to look over the menu and decide what you want. Ordering is possible at the service, but also online, the process takes some getting used to, especially if you have already ordered the drinks from a service employee! The food is of high quality and I didn't finish my schnitzel XL even though I came very hungry. Basically it was a successful evening, I deducted one star because the service took a lot of time, despite the bell ringing at every table.

You sit outdoors and can eat well and in abundance.

The meals are XXL, the staffing ratio is XXS. The operator is making false savings, which is at the expense of staff and consequently customer satisfaction. One person at the tap and another on the floor is simply not enough for a full restaurant. Despite the enormous waiting time and the incorrectly served food, I can only praise the staff. The fact that they don't just give up their aprons under such adverse conditions is impressive.

You can eat both inside and outside with a beautiful view of the Nauener Tor. Service was attentive and very nice. It's an XXL restaurant and everything is big here - both the drinks and the food. And it was good. Really good. We wouldn't have expected that. But we also had a chef in the group who was very impressed and praised the good quality several times. Everyone else just enjoyed it. The Kaiserplatte is great, which contains giant currywurst and fries as well as lots of meat in all variations... but there should be at least five or six of you to make it. Otherwise, the friendly staff will be happy to pack up the rest to take away. Price-performance ratio is great. Restaurant is really worth recommending.

The food is really great. At the beginning the assumption was “quantity instead of class”. However, this is not true at all. We had the 1.3 kilo schnitzel and I have to say it was one of the best schnitzels I have eaten. Super juicy, super tender. Simply delicious! Hats off:)!! The prices are very reasonable, if not rather cheap. For 1.3 kilos of schnitzel + 1 liter of beer + 0.5 cocktail it costs less than 70 euros and therefore 35 pp. And after the feast you are full for 2 days! A single point of criticism: the service was a bit overwhelmed, cutlery/sauces were forgotten and had to be asked several times. But it was pleasantly overplayed. Thank you!

Amazing food in massive portions. Super friendly service. Cocktails on offer are really nice too. Tasty and also really big. And don't worry if you think you might not finish your massive portion. You can get packaging and take the leftovers home with ya.

We were here with a group of 5 leaders. The schnitzel 1.3kg and the burger 1kg were very good. The vegan burger was one of the best I've ever eaten. The service is very friendly :) there's really nothing to complain about here!

Service very attentive, friendly and helpful. Tables outside are a bit confusing. Large selection of food. Price performance but a bit too expensive. Portion size and quality was okay but not outstanding.

Get past this quickly. Also the other two restaurants in that corner. All three belong together with just a different name. I won't quickly say anything about the food, but this food here is very mediocre. As is often the case with larger tourist restaurants. A serious failing grade.

The location is very nice, right at the Nauener Tor. Staff was nice, not overly so but completely adequate. The food is super high quality and delicious for fast food. You can do it, but you'll roll home afterwards. However, you shouldn't skimp on the fries, they should be a little thicker. So they're almost like chips - not like fries.

We are very disappointed with our visit after a good 6 years. Back then we went to Redo at least once a year, but now I have to think twice about eating there again. My husband had the schnitzel with fried egg. Unfortunately the fried potatoes were not crispy at all. I had ribs. They were a lot better back then. Back then they were crispier and pickled, today they are cooked and barbecue sauce is just added on top. Not at all like back then. The caramelized thing was totally missing😢. The fries were very dry with some dark pieces and the salad that came with it was not very popular with both my husband and me. It was slightly wilted and the only crunchy thing about it was the stalk of the leaves. We always had a different service employee and in the end there was hardly anyone to be seen and there was no cutlery left at the table. There was also no bib for the ribs, which apparently still existed in some cases, but not for all. I hate getting dirty. In addition, the prices have risen quite a bit. The drinks are also very exaggerated. All in all, it's a shame😭 for a child-free evening as a couple.

Pro: Burger, fries, baked potato and the currywurst were really extremely tasty. The dishes were nicely prepared and deserve five stars. Cons: The waiter (presumably of African origin) was wearing clothes that had obviously just come from the construction site, shabby, dingy and dirty. Hopefully the chefs don't look like that too. It was just as dirty and dingy all around - see pictures. A bit of cleanliness in order. I would really like to be at my eating place. Especially when I press the button to call a waiter, I don't want to have to wash/disinfect my finger afterwards. Menu (personal opinion) is incredibly confusing.

Unfortunately we didn't have a good day. We discovered the restaurant spontaneously. We liked what we could see from the outside. Unfortunately everything was already occupied, only one table at the door, but that was okay. We waited over 15 minutes for a waiter who was actually quite nice. He also apologized often. Then at some point it was time for us to place our order and then it took another 45 minutes for the food to arrive. and it was lukewarm to cold. We could see our disappointment on our faces, but nothing. Maybe we should have ordered schnitzel, it's supposed to be pretty good. Oh yes, and then I wanted to eat something that had meat on it, I wanted it without it, which worked out, but I couldn't accommodate the price or something else, so I paid the normal price for lukewarm food. That's why there are only 2 stars and actually that would only be one for us. I turned a blind eye.
