REDO XXL Potsdam in Potsdam

We haven't had such a bad meal in a long time...we wanted to try it. .The Redo XXL has nothing to do with gastronomy at all. Bistro food, at gastronomy prices. Finished products... If you celebrate the concept with the XXL schnitzel etc., it's okay, but the normal portions have nothing to do with cooking. A disgrace for the craft..Starters taste like nothing, garlic baguette is already rock hard and no seasoning..Jagdwurst is not hunting sausage but pre-breaded beer sausage, the cheapest pasta you can find..zero spices..zero love for it. So if you value good food...you should give it a wide berth! Too bad

Food OK, but you can't go wrong with schnitzel. The service was absolutely poor. Electronic ordering not possible, service then has no idea about their own offers. Clearing tables doesn't seem to be a common thing here; people walked past several tables, but the dirty dishes remained. Well, you don't have to have that again... Unfortunately, in the end you couldn't pay contactless because the device probably fell down.

Unfortunately very disappointed! Waiting time for food was 80 minutes!!!! When asked, it was explained that the kitchen was currently very busy. But at least there was a “short” on the house as a consolation! To eat: Some of the fried potatoes were not cooked through and some were cold. The schnitzel was so heavily fried or baked on the edge that it was hard and dry. Sauces were heavily flour-heavy. Knobi sauce was ordered with the baked mushrooms, but sourceme came. Service only came upon request, no question as to whether it tasted good. Very unfortunate. We've been coming here for years, whenever we vacation in Potsdam. Unfortunately, the service in particular declined from time to time. We will not be coming back for these reasons.

Agreed pick-up times serve as a rough guide even though the restaurant was empty. After almost half an hour late, the food finally arrived. No apologies…extremely unprofessional. Now about the food: Jägerschnitzel -> full of cartilage GDR Soljanka according to the card = 3/4L -> reweighed at home = 403ml including the assiette into which it was filled. In my opinion this is clear fraud on the guest. I have tried to contact the Redo group to clarify the matter but so far no response.

The service was very friendly. However, the steak was lukewarm and tough as a shoe sole 😞

A great evening thanks to the good advice from Nasir. The food and the beer are simply amazing. Again tomorrow.

Hello Team Redoxxl We have one point of criticism: if we order knoffi bread it should contain at least a hint of garlic. Otherwise the hamburger was okay. What caused some irritation was the oats on the bun

It took 1h15 from ordering to eating, even though the restaurant wasn't full. Unfortunately, this spoils the overall impression.

Service hardly comes, last meal came when the first was finished, food average quality, Instead of beef schnitzel there was pork schnitzel, the bill came after 1/2 hour after several requests, the ambience was actually nice, the service was friendly

After a walk through the Dutch Quarter, we ate lunch on the terrace with a view of the Nauener Tor. Drinks and food large and tasty... We liked the homemade lemonades best... There is plenty of space on the terrace, but also inside. Only the sanitary area still has reserves...

After waiting almost 2 hours for our food, we got the first three dishes (out of seven) cold! Including schnitzel, rump steak & chicken. Cold sauces, old fries, ancient salad as a side dish. Then another 2 dishes came. Not completely cold, but not hot either, let alone warm! Until then, none of us had any cutlery! So the rest of the food got just as cold. We looked for our cutlery from our neighbors. Really embarrassing. After the last two meals came, the cutlery also came. Unfortunately, far too late. The last few meals were ok. Oh well. There was a whopping 30 minutes between the first meal and the last. Such an unheard of thing. Various staff asked 3 times what was going on. If you haven't figured this out in the meantime, you've probably ended up in the wrong job. In addition, the “Mojito” only consisted of alcohol. It was a horror meal! We will never go to this store again!

The schnitzel was good, of course it can't be compared with a good Viennese schnitzel, but I don't rate this restaurant as a comparison to local/upscale cuisine either :) Perfect for a day of eating. The fries and salad were very good. Fries very crispy and well fried. As a customer you definitely feel like you are in good hands.

Great place. Worth visiting at least once. The price-quality ratio is adequate. The service was nice and helpful. Food fresh, tasty. 28 cm diameter hamburger....!!!!

We were served quickly, but unfortunately some of the staff lacked the ability to speak. Unfortunately, we also had to ask for cutlery and it was also streaky. The lemonades were ok, but nothing special and not very refreshing. We ate the 2kg schnitzel with “a huge pile” of fries. The schnitzel was ok, but strangely fatty and wobbly in places and the breading wasn't particularly crispy. Price-performance ratio is just right, but only because we divided it between 5 people. Both the fries and the meat lacked seasoning. The side salad was a bit sad somehow. Dry, desolate and very little. There was also mushroom cream sauce, pepper cream sauce and hollandaise sauce. The pepper sauce had something, but overall the sauces were more soggy and mushy than creamy and wholesome. Not worth a cent to be honest. If you want to see large portions you can spend your money here, but I was looking for really good quality in vain.

The food was a bit cold and unfortunately there were no spoons to put the fries/sauce on your own plate. Otherwise highly recommended

We stopped there spontaneously and it was a good decision. The cocktails are super delicious. The xxl schnitzel tasted very good and we also liked the ambience inside and outside. The young waiter was willing to talk and nice. The device with the buttons (ON THE PHOTO) is a great invention and I didn't know it yet. I can definitely recommend you. The weather was good and you can also sit outside. Great food, super friendly staff, waiting time was ok. I have rarely eaten so well, so much and really cheaply. A must for me on my next stay in Potsdam. Be sure to pay attention to the xxl 😀. You can feed a whole family with a meat platter or pasta for little money and it was delicious too. Keep it up guys. Gladly again.

4 people couldn't make this plate, enough for 6 people. But it was definitely cool. The ribs were the absolute dream on this record.

These are really large, XXL portions. Not only MSse are offered here, but also class. The dishes are super delicious! Everyone gets full here and takes something home with them. Super tasty meat, great! Service is very attentive, even if the concept of ordering everything via cell phone is prone to errors given the large selection with many variations. At least you can still order from a waiter😉 Unfortunately the waiting time for the food is long (we waited over 50 minutes for 3 dishes and the starter soup came last!!!) The excuse was the normal: new chef etc... There are a lot of places, both inside and outside. Value for money is great, we would love to come back.

XXL Restaurant REDO, I knew it from films and television, so it was necessary to stop by for a visit. We were lucky and got a seat outside. You should take some time to look over the menu and decide what you want. Ordering is possible at the service, but also online, the process takes some getting used to, especially if you have already ordered the drinks from a service employee! The food is of high quality and I didn't finish my schnitzel XL even though I came very hungry. Basically it was a successful evening, I deducted one star because the service took a lot of time, despite the bell ringing at every table.

You sit outdoors and can eat well and in abundance.

The meals are XXL, the staffing ratio is XXS. The operator is making false savings, which is at the expense of staff and consequently customer satisfaction. One person at the tap and another on the floor is simply not enough for a full restaurant. Despite the enormous waiting time and the incorrectly served food, I can only praise the staff. The fact that they don't just give up their aprons under such adverse conditions is impressive.

You can eat both inside and outside with a beautiful view of the Nauener Tor. Service was attentive and very nice. It's an XXL restaurant and everything is big here - both the drinks and the food. And it was good. Really good. We wouldn't have expected that. But we also had a chef in the group who was very impressed and praised the good quality several times. Everyone else just enjoyed it. The Kaiserplatte is great, which contains giant currywurst and fries as well as lots of meat in all variations... but there should be at least five or six of you to make it. Otherwise, the friendly staff will be happy to pack up the rest to take away. Price-performance ratio is great. Restaurant is really worth recommending.

The food is really great. At the beginning the assumption was “quantity instead of class”. However, this is not true at all. We had the 1.3 kilo schnitzel and I have to say it was one of the best schnitzels I have eaten. Super juicy, super tender. Simply delicious! Hats off:)!! The prices are very reasonable, if not rather cheap. For 1.3 kilos of schnitzel + 1 liter of beer + 0.5 cocktail it costs less than 70 euros and therefore 35 pp. And after the feast you are full for 2 days! A single point of criticism: the service was a bit overwhelmed, cutlery/sauces were forgotten and had to be asked several times. But it was pleasantly overplayed. Thank you!

Amazing food in massive portions. Super friendly service. Cocktails on offer are really nice too. Tasty and also really big. And don't worry if you think you might not finish your massive portion. You can get packaging and take the leftovers home with ya.

We were here with a group of 5 leaders. The schnitzel 1.3kg and the burger 1kg were very good. The vegan burger was one of the best I've ever eaten. The service is very friendly :) there's really nothing to complain about here!

Get past this quickly. Also the other two restaurants in that corner. All three belong together with just a different name. I won't quickly say anything about the food, but this food here is very mediocre. As is often the case with larger tourist restaurants. A serious failing grade.

The location is very nice, right at the Nauener Tor. Staff was nice, not overly so but completely adequate. The food is super high quality and delicious for fast food. You can do it, but you'll roll home afterwards. However, you shouldn't skimp on the fries, they should be a little thicker. So they're almost like chips - not like fries.

We are very disappointed with our visit after a good 6 years. Back then we went to Redo at least once a year, but now I have to think twice about eating there again. My husband had the schnitzel with fried egg. Unfortunately the fried potatoes were not crispy at all. I had ribs. They were a lot better back then. Back then they were crispier and pickled, today they are cooked and barbecue sauce is just added on top. Not at all like back then. The caramelized thing was totally missing😢. The fries were very dry with some dark pieces and the salad that came with it was not very popular with both my husband and me. It was slightly wilted and the only crunchy thing about it was the stalk of the leaves. We always had a different service employee and in the end there was hardly anyone to be seen and there was no cutlery left at the table. There was also no bib for the ribs, which apparently still existed in some cases, but not for all. I hate getting dirty. In addition, the prices have risen quite a bit. The drinks are also very exaggerated. All in all, it's a shame😭 for a child-free evening as a couple.

Pro: Burger, fries, baked potato and the currywurst were really extremely tasty. The dishes were nicely prepared and deserve five stars. Cons: The waiter (presumably of African origin) was wearing clothes that had obviously just come from the construction site, shabby, dingy and dirty. Hopefully the chefs don't look like that too. It was just as dirty and dingy all around - see pictures. A bit of cleanliness in order. I would really like to be at my eating place. Especially when I press the button to call a waiter, I don't want to have to wash/disinfect my finger afterwards. Menu (personal opinion) is incredibly confusing.

Anyone who likes it huge. Vegan was good.

Restaurant for big appetites. You can also share the dishes. Staff friendly and attentive. There is also a different highlight every day.

Unfortunately we didn't have a good day. We discovered the restaurant spontaneously. We liked what we could see from the outside. Unfortunately everything was already occupied, only one table at the door, but that was okay. We waited over 15 minutes for a waiter who was actually quite nice. He also apologized often. Then at some point it was time for us to place our order and then it took another 45 minutes for the food to arrive. and it was lukewarm to cold. We could see our disappointment on our faces, but nothing. Maybe we should have ordered schnitzel, it's supposed to be pretty good. Oh yes, and then I wanted to eat something that had meat on it, I wanted it without it, which worked out, but I couldn't accommodate the price or something else, so I paid the normal price for lukewarm food. That's why there are only 2 stars and actually that would only be one for us. I turned a blind eye.

Food isn't even at McDonald's level. Prices are completely exorbitant. Fries with the burger only came after the burger had already been eaten, but they were burnt.

Despite the strain of a long working day and her own "motherly duties", a very pretty, friendly waitress was very service-friendly and polite to us shortly before the end of the workday and fulfilled all of our wishes. The food was gigantic - very, very tasty! 😋 I tried the veal liver and loved it. My companion tried the tomato soup 🍅 and a baked potato with delicious sour cream. The tomato soup wasn't really her thing. I then tried it and had the impression that it was missing some kick or flavor. But other than that everything was great! We will be back and can only say: a visit there in Potsdam is worth it! 👍🏻 😀 Every Sunday there is even a “family promotion” where all children up to the age of 7 can choose a meal and a drink free of charge... Where else can you find something like this these days? 😉

Were in Potsdam today and in this restaurant. My 2 kg ribs were excellent 👌 the entire meal was first class. However, very large portions that one person cannot manage alone. Luckily, they are prepared to take the rest with them. Anything else would be a waste. Overall the ambience was okay, the service was okay, the price/performance ratio was okay. Always my pleasure. 🤗

The Redo XXL in Potsdam is also good. The service is great, the food is delicious. Of course it's not that cheap, but absolutely appropriate for the huge portions. I just don't think the atmosphere in the store is that great. I'm missing a bit of the comfort that would invite me to sit for longer.

If you like food, we weren't impressed. Quite a lot of sauces and it was a currywurst in the XXL hot dog, not a hot dog sausage so not my cup of tea.

Very tasty XXL food, there is space for a maximum of 15 people. Nice staff, but they were a bit overwhelmed with billing.

Price / performance top... service very friendly and committed. Drinks are well tempered. Since this restaurant is "shared" there are small stands to request the service person and/or invoice. Unfortunately, the actual sanitary area was closed and the alternative area was poor to inadequate. Unfortunately, the XXL burger was served almost raw. However, this was immediately improved. We also had a Kaiserplatte that was completely convincing. The last leftovers could be easily packed and taken away in aluminum trays with lids and paper bags. All in all, highly recommended.

Sehr große und leckere Schnitzelportion gegessen. Das Schweineschnitzel hätte etwas dünner sein können, dann wäre es bestimmt noch leckerer :) Auf jeden Fall sehr gut um in kürzester Zeit die größt mögliche Menge an Kalorien rein zu schaufeln. Schade dass es solch Lokal nicht in NRW gibt. Empfehlenswert!

Essen nicht durch, unhöfliche Reaktion darauf, dass man dieses gemeldet hat.

Das Essen war sehr gut und kam auch zeitnah an den Tisch. Leider kam bei 7 Personen erst das Essen und nur auf nachfragen das Besteck. Es fehlten auch Messer, auf 4x nachfragen u "Das macht mein Kollege " hat den guten Gesamteindruck leider sehr leiden lassen. Sehr schade . Auch das Abräumen war nur zur Hälfte (?) Warum wurden die leeren Gläser nicht abgeräumt , 3 Teller blieben stehen. Wirklich schade

Obwohl man meinen könnte das bei so mancher Riesenportion der Geschmack leiden könnte, denjenigen muss ich enttäuschen. Geschmack ist genauso groß wie die Portionen und das zu guten Preisen. Alles was ich bis jetzt dort gegessen habe, von Hausmannskost bis zum Burger, war stets sehr, sehr lecker. Komme immer gern mit Vorfreude vorbei.

Alles super, hatten Bärenhunger und das Essen war echt Klasse. Die Dame vom Service war ein bisschen ...nun ja...schnippisch. Ist es nicht legitim, wenn man das erste Mal kommt nach der kleinsten Portion zu fragen? Gleich sarkastisch zu antworten, es wäre ein XXL-Restaurant, war schon gewöhnungsbedürftig. Essen selber einpacken als witziges Extra zu verkaufen, fanden wir nicht lustig. Schließlich bezahlt man den Service mit. Ansonsten, wir kommen wieder. Vlcht ist es dann mit der Bedienung nicht ganz so holprig.

Klasse, immer einen Besuch wert

Ein kleines gemütliches Redo. Wir sind große Redo XXL Fans und waren in Potsdam das erste Mal. Alles in allem ganz gut Aber aufgefallen das die Portionen kleiner geworden sind. Bedienung und Service war Top.

Waren zur Betriebsweihnachtsfeier dort. Die 2 Sterne sind lediglich für den netten Kellner und Kellnerin, die sehr freundlich waren. Das Ambiente fand ich nicht sonderlich ansprechend. Das Essen .. ich hatte Ente mit Rotkohl und Bratkartoffeln. Die Ente war sehr trocken und die Bratkartoffeln auch weit entfernt von gutem Essen. Das kann ich zu Hause besser und für den Preis ... Naja. Also ich komme definitiv nicht wieder. !!! Auch meine Kollegen hatte teilweise kaltes Essen. Wir gehen zukünftig in Restaurants wo Preis Leistung passt!

Es war wirklich außerordentlich lecker, zwar habe ich mich in der Größe etwas vertan das ich dann etwas mitnehmen musste aber es war alles wirklich sehr lecker!

Hotel had stopped serving food so had a walk into town. Stumbled across this place and was welcomed by very friendly staff. Food was lovely, highly recommended! Stein of Benediktiner wasn’t bad either 🍻

Wirklich nettes und aufmerksames Personal

Einen super Abend hier verbracht! Wir waren zu dritt und hatten die 6oog-Currywurst, das 400g Kaiserschnitzel (Achtung: 400g Schnitzel + das Würzfleisch noch obendrauf) und die 1000g Rippchen (ohne BBQ-Sauce). Alles war warm, super gewürzt, und echt lecker. Auch die Pommes waren super saftig und kross, cooler Schnitt. Wir mussten auch nicht lange warten (ca. 20min) obwohl eine größere Gruppe auch zeitgleich bestellt hatte. Leider haben wir nicht alles geschafft – aber auch das war kein Problem. Wir konnten die Reste mit nach Hause nehmen Wenn man ein wenig Zeit hat, lohnt sich ein Blick in die Karte abseits vom Menü. Da stehen interessante Infos und witzige Sachen drin. Auf unseren Junior wurde auch super eingegangen. Ihm war kalt als wir kamen und Tee bzw. heiße Zitrone lockten ihn nicht – da bekam er kurzerhand eine heiße Schokolade aus dem zugehörigen Cafe Heider angeboten und schon leuchteten die Augen. Unsere Bedienung (Lena) war sehr freundlich und hat auf unsere Fragen geduldig geantwortet. Das Lokal war zur Hälfte gefüllt, auch eine englischsprachige Gruppe dabei - Alles kein Problem. Sie kümmerte sich und schien alles im Griff zu haben. Als mein Mann ihr verriet, dass ich Geburtstag habe, zauberte Sie sogar noch eine Fackel auf mein Essen und einen 10€-Gutschein vom Haus gab es auch noch. Es hat sich wirklich gelohnt, hier den Abend zu verbringen. Nach einem anfänglich furchtbaren Beginn (in einem anderen Lokal!) rettet sie (und natürlich der Koch) mir den Tag und wir sind zufrieden nach Hause gegangen.

Riesige Portionen, die mich persönlich völlig überfordert haben. Bedienung hat mich Ende Oktober noch auf einem Außensitzplatz bedient, wurde aber auch eingeladen, dass ich drin sitzen kann. Mein Wunsch war es an der Luft zu sitzen. Es war auch kein Problem den Rest des Essens einzupacken. Hierfür wurden Material und eine Papiertüte bereitgestellt. Wenn ich einmal wieder richtig Hunger habe, dann ist Redo XXL die erste Wahl.

Riesenportionen und lecker. Was man nicht schafft, kann man sich eintüten und mitnehmen.👍

Restaurant u. Toilette waren sauber. Speisekarte unübersichtlich und überladen. Aufnahme der Bestellung und Essen ließ auf sich warten. Wir, 2 Personen, hatten je ein Rumpsteak mit einer Folienkartoffel und zusammen drei 0,5 l Bier, wofür wir dann 70,- € inkl. Trinkgeld berappen mussten. Viel zu teuer! Auch nach Ansprache und langer Wartezeit bekamen wir abschließend leider keine Rechnung. Mein Fazit insgesamt eher Touristen-Nepp: VIEL ZU TEUER für durchschnittliches Essen, lange Wartezeiten, Bedienung unaufmerksam und abwesend, unterdurchschnittliche Gastlichkeit. Nicht wieder. Nicht empfehlenswert.

War sehr schön gewesen, essen tip top, Service sehr lieb und aufmerksam kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Und werden wenn wir in der Nähe sind definitiv wieder kommen :)

Dieses Restaurant in Potsdam bietet Sitzplätze im Innen- und Außenbereich an. Es ist schön eingerichtet. Das Essen war gut 👍 und frisch zubereitet. Es gibt dort eine kleine Auswahl an Gerichten in verschiedenen Größen. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Preise sind für die Lage in der Nähe von vielen Anziehungspunkten ganz erschwinglich (€€). 1Kg Schnitzel oder 2Kg Spareribs und dazu noch eine Menge fritierter Kartoffeln, müssen nicht unbedingt sein. Keine(r), der diese Gerichte bestellt hatte, konnte das alles essen. Das ist Lebensmittel Verschwendung, auch wenn das Fleisch eingepackt und mitgenommen werden konnte. Ok 👌 fand ich das Angebot für 1,50 € einen Teller zu bekommen, um beim Nachbarn mit zu essen. Dies wurde leider nur für Kinder in die Tat umgesetzt. Vielleicht sollte man das Konzept überdenken immer größere Portionen anzubieten. Ich hatte ein 200g Schnitzel mit Käse überbacken und dazu Pommes 🍟. Ich war satt.

XXL... Ja einmal alles in groß einfach mal was ganz anderes aber gut 👍 Das Essen ist sehr schnell dagewesen und es konnte direkt los gelegt werden und nein ich hab nicht alles geschafft ich hatte für denn nächsten tag noch mittag essen. Es hat sich gelohnt und ich bin mit einem Lächeln nachhause gegangen.

Spontan sind meine Frau und ich eingekehrt. Das Resturant war super voll. Dennoch wurden wir schnell bedient und das Personal hatte immer einen lockeren Spruch auf den lieben. Essen war top. Die Größe der Portion tut der Qualität keinen Abbruch. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.
