Ambience and food selection is quite good. The allergen/vegan labeling could use a refresher or an overhaul - many of the signs are hidden behind the dishes and are washed out from years of usage. Everything I tried tasted good - overall healthy and affordable.

We came for coffee and cake today. The service at the checkout wasn't very friendly, which doesn't give you a good feeling as a guest. We ordered the vegan blueberry cashew cake twice and two lattes with oat milk. Both were a disaster in terms of taste. No taste, dry cake base... the cake looks pretty, but simply has nothing to offer, no added value at all. The latte didn't taste good either, so I don't know if it was the oat milk or the coffee beans. Almost €20 for leaving the store absolutely unhappy. It's a shame, things can definitely be better. The ambience is okay, relaxed to sit in.

Red is a wonderful vegetarian restaurant. Here you can sit inside and outside. Everyone can help themselves to a wide variety of dishes at the buffet. Everything is fresh and appetizing. You get your own food and drinks and empty dishes are cleared away at your place. The restaurant is barrier-free and does not offer parking spaces. A nice concept, thank you, we were satisfied.

As a Heller's (Mannheim, now closed) fan, I came across the red through a tip from a friend. Similar concept: buffet, price according to weight (of the food 😁). Very tasty and inexpensive! We'd love to come back!

I really love going to a place where you can plate your own meal. I can choose all the things i want! It reminds me how restricted we are in comparison when we just order something off a menu. They weigh the plate when you are ready and somehow it turns out to be cheaper than i expect. Super delicious and super nutritious food. I love the chocolate, apricot and orange cream desserts also. Everything is perfect about this place. Very clean and fresh and hygenic vibe. The chefs look super sharp and professional and keep a close watch on the buffet which is great. Nice layout with outdoor and indoor seating. Well worth checking out.

So we were here with a school class, we weren't really vegetarians but no one liked it, the prices were completely overpriced, the service was nice, but we'll never go here again

It is simply the best restaurant in Heidelberg! The things are totally healthy but still taste good and you feel totally comfortable in the whole atmosphere. The employees are above average friendly. You can simply take your food from the buffet and then pay at the cash register. I find the price-quality ratio perfect! I've been there so many times that I can't count it anymore and I'm completely satisfied every time. (The cake in the picture is almost always sold out because it tastes just wow)

Today for the first time there, the food was very tasty and a large selection. Very good concept, we are thrilled. The staff was friendly. We will be back

By chance we stopped here after our trip to Heidelberg and were so pleasantly surprised that I am writing this entry here. Food is available as a buffet and self-service, with plates being charged based on weight. The buffet is top and the quality of the food is very good. In terms of quantity and selection, the rich buffet is ideal for guests, as everyone should find something. The things are fresh and organic quality. The chefs observe and take care of it very well, hence the five stars in service. Drinks are then ordered at the bar, as is billing. The selection of drinks is very good, we had the homemade lemonades and they were very tasty and intense. For dessert we got something from the cake and sweets counter - again very tasty. The coffee was also brought to my table because it took longer - I would like to mention the service again because it is not a given with self-service. The toilets are clean & modern, just as you would expect. Artists exhibit their works in the restaurant itself, the concept is more widespread and supports the ambience. The restaurant concept immediately convinced and appealed to me. Unique for me so far, I have never experienced anything like this before and therefore recommend a visit near the old town!

We really enjoyed eating at red because the food is really tasty and high quality, there is obviously no food waste and the ambience is right. Unfortunately, the price level is now completely unjustified. After all, conceptually it is more of a high-quality canteen than a restaurant.

Ein nett eingerichtetes Restaurant mit leckeren vegetarischen/veganen Speisen. Die Preise sind meiner Meinung nach jedoch etwas zu hoch angesiedelt für die Auswahl der Speisen, die man hier bekommt. Insgesamt verleiht dieses Restaurant einem eher das Gefühl von einer etwas nobleren Mensa, eine Bedienung im engeren Sinne gibt es hier nicht.

Die meisten kommen wohl wegen des leckeren Selbstbedienungsbuffets. Ich habe jedoch die letzten Wochen das täglich wechselnde Wok Gericht gegessen. Immer anders lecker und das für 9.50 Euro Mo-Fr und samstags etwas teurer. Sehr empfehlenswert! Sehr freundliches Personal. Meine Wohlfühloase im grauen, nass-kalten Heidelberger Herbst! 🍂

Super Konzept zur Vermeidung der Lebensmittelverschwendung! Man kann sich so viel am wirklich vielfältigen vegetarischen Buffet nehmen, wie man will und bezahlt grammgenau. Riesen Auswahl auch an Getränken und die MitarbeiterInnen sehr freundlich und lustig. Kann ich echt nur empfehlen!

Das Konzept mit dem Wiegen der Speisen auf dem Teller gefällt mir gut. Die Salate sind hervorragend frisch und ausnahmslos sehr lecker. Auch die Nachspeisen halten da mit! Eine klare Empfehlung!

The shop has so many varieties of food for vegetarians and vegans. They have got and cold food. Except a few dishes, all are items are eggless, including their deserts options, like cake and creams.

Sehr gutes und gesundes Essen, daher aber sicher auch nicht allzu günstig. Um die Mittagszeit ist viel los und man sollte sich auf etwas Wartezeit einstellen.

Heerlijk gegeten, veel keus, vers en smaakvol. Leuk concept; opscheppen vanaf buffet en betalen per gewicht. Aanrader!

Expensive Vegan dishes were not that special

Nice busy buffet style cafe, only offers vegetarian food but they do know how to pack in the flavour. Warning, it turned out very expensive because you pay by the weight of your plate!
