Hotel Zur Alten Brücke in Heidelberg

Simply great, very nice reception and great staff. The room is very large and individually furnished. The location of the hotel is very central and from here everything can be easily reached on foot. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant in the evening. All in all, highly recommended and always happy.

Beautiful hotel. Tastefully decorated and enjoyed. Especially the breakfast in the courtyard is great! The attached Nepomuk tavern also offers top quality. We were there by bike and felt very comfortable!

We felt very comfortable with you. Great, clean room. The staff was consistently friendly and the breakfast was more than sufficient. The location is unbeatable. In the middle of the city and still absolutely quiet. We'd love to come back!

We celebrated our wedding there this weekend and accommodated our guests, including ourselves, in the attached hotel. The food is exceptional, including the selection of drinks. The breakfast was rich, the service... I always get emotional when I think of all the committed and loving people. The rooms are modern and very stylishly furnished. Although there is no minibar, cold drinks are always available in the restaurant until a certain time. There is also no air conditioning, which is due to the age of the building and its listed status. But there is a state-of-the-art fan in the room plus another pedestal fan. There are no parking spaces at the hotel, but you do have the chance to stop briefly and charge up. You also get support and help with your luggage to the hotel room door, of course only if requested. The charm and flair is simply overwhelming. And the old bridge for great photo opportunities is, as the name suggests, right in front of the hotel. We had a very, very good feeling right from the preliminary meeting to plan our wedding. Our expectations were more than exceeded. Warm, loving, emotional, good middle-class, attentive, rustic, clean, polite, accommodating... and much more. If you have anything to complain about here, it's your own fault or you're having a bad day. We would like to thank you very much for the wonderful days, also on behalf of our wedding party. A very nicely located hotel with a romantic courtyard where you can enjoy breakfast when the weather is good. The staff is super nice... We would go there again just because of the great staff.

I had a really wonderful stay! I received a warm welcome and felt very comfortable and welcome throughout the days. The room was very nicely decorated, really comfortable and clean. The breakfast had a varied selection and was very tasty and of course the location cannot be beaten, in the middle of the beautiful old town of Heidelberg - beautiful! Thanks to the great staff for this lovely short vacation!

The room and all of the hotel spaces were simple, elegant, clean, and up to date. Wonderful, cozy breakfast. Can't beat the location. Sebastian @ reception was friendly and offered post-stay travel advice that turned out to be very helpful. 10/10 would visit again.

This hotel had incredible views of the Old Heidelberg Bridge & Castle (junior suite 1). The rooms are sooo comfortable & super clean. Breakfast was delightful. Thank you! We really enjoyed our stay!

Very nice and warm service, tastefully and comfortably furnished clean rooms, central but quiet location with a beautiful courtyard to relax in and a very tasty breakfast. We felt completely at home and can only recommend the charming hotel.

The hotel left nothing to be desired. All the employees were very friendly, warm and accommodating. The hotel was very clean. The rooms are modern but very comfortably furnished. The breakfast was fabulous and filling. The location of the hotel is central. Many attractions are within walking distance. We had a room with a view of the Old Bridge. Beautiful. The possibility of parking in a nearby parking garage (in cooperation with the hotel) is ideal. The hotel is highly recommended. We had a perfect vacation in the beautiful city of Heidelberg. Pure perfection! I've been all over and the daughter of a hotel consultant. This place is the perfect blend of hospitality without being overly formal. My husband made the perfect comment re: our room "It's like someone stayed in here to know what should be here and how it should be set up". Beautifully decorated....the outside corridor with the gorgeous pillows just did it for me :) We had dinner at the restaurant which was fantastic and had several non-pork options for us and breakfast the next morning was perfect. The location could not be better, right at the base of the bridge and a quick walk to the tram station up to the castle. And most importantly the hotel and room were SPOTLESS. Don't stay anywhere else - we loved this hotel! Our room looked right out over the bridge and river and we felt very fortunate to have scored this wonderful room. Thank you for a great stay. This place was pretty great overall. The location was ideal for what we wanted. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see in the city. They even gave us an upgrade to a room that had a nice loft, which was perfect for seeing the castle. There is a restaurant at the hotel as well, but we did not try it. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Nice little hotel with a great location and very friendly staff. Great for a short trip to Heidelberg. Delicious breakfast, clean, nice rooms and comfortable beds. We didn't miss anything. We felt very comfortable.

We spent one night there, in one of the small rooms on the first floor with a window facing the hallway. We were told directly at reception that a wedding was being celebrated in the house. Oh God, I thought, we won't be able to sleep. In the worst case scenario, we would have joined in the celebration ;-). All joking aside, we heard NOTHING, nothing at all. The room was more than okay for one night. Staff totally friendly. Breakfast has enough choice and is great. One of those houses where you always want to go.

From the reservation to the stay and departure, I have only been shown friendliness and goodwill. Location, rooms and the food in the restaurant were simply great. So my short stay was lovely all around.

We had a nice room with a view of the Brückentor and the Neckar. Breakfast was still spectacular but very decent.

Schönes Hotel mit toll eingerichteten Zimmern. Sehr gute Boxspring Betten auf denen man gut schlafen kann. Frühstück ist ebenfalls gut, allerdings nur von 8-10 Uhr. Die Lage des Hotels ist erstklassig, direkt an der alten Brücke. Alles ist eigentlich zu Fuß zu erreichen.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during Christmas 2023. The location is excellent right next to the Old Bridge. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The service staff are very welcoming and helpful in their own way. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant both served delicious food and service was swift despite full house during festive season. I would recommend staying here.
