Darwisch in Heidelberg

Very great Persian restaurant, wonderful oriental food and a very nice host, who humorously creates a very hospitable atmosphere with his calmness and great friendliness. One or two guests can contribute to the impression of authenticity if they can't behave and make loud video calls at the table or watch videos loudly on their cell phone and listen to music, then it's annoying.

Darwisch is a great Persian restaurant in Heidelberg. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. I had the Koobideh and the Joojeh kebab, and both were excellent. I also tried the Gheyme-Bademjan, which was very good. The restaurant is run by a lovely Iranian couple. I would definitely recommend Darwisch to anyone looking for good Persian food in Heidelberg.

Great Persian restaurant with a wonderful and relaxed atmosphere. Very respectful staff from an Iranian family. We tried Kobide and Chicken Kebab. Ash Reshte and Kashke Bademjon as starters were also great. Highly recommended. عالی بود. Perfect Persian food.

We had a lovely experience eating in Darwisch restaurant. Owned and run by a well-mannered, respectful Iranian family. The restaurant is culturally well-presented and decorated. The food is delicious and tasty. The staff are really attentive. To put it in a nutshell, I recommend dining there.

Decor is nice. Food is well prepared although the rice with beans were not as my liking. Service was quick but poor. No napkins and condiments were served. Guest's request to mix ice cream and falooda was not entertained. Food portion was just OK. If you are hungry, order a dessert as well.

We ordered Kabab koobideh but the kabab hadn't a good quality

Rarely have I eaten such a delicious, spicy (but not spicy, just mildly spiced in a different way, I was thrilled!!) food.

One of the best Persian restaurants in the region. I never had such delicious and juicy Judje ( grilled chicken) anywhere else. Make sure to get a reservation in advance

The most delicious Iranian food you can taste in any restaurant..and their treatment is classy and elegant..everything on the menu is delicious...and the owner of the restaurant is one of the nice and humble characters..I advise anyone visiting Heidelberg to eat there and I promise you that you will come back to eat there more than once.

Iranian (Persian’s cuisine). The owner and his wife are running the restaurant by themselves Take care: They “only” accept cash or German bank cards?!! Which is strange truly and inconvenient for foreigners. Costs Approximately 45 Euro per person.

Well folks, I can say with certainty and absoluteness: This is the very best Iranian restaurant in Germany. This comment is based on 4 years of experience in various restaurants in Berlin, Munich, Freiburg, all of North Rhine-Westphalia, etc. If you want to try something authentically Iranian and the best, then here.

I liked the atmosphere. Staff are nice. However the food could be better. We had Kebab and the rice was kind of cold. Considering the amount of food, it's also a little bit expensive compared to other Iranian restaurants.

Very nice, elegant Persian restaurant. Modern atmosphere. Delicious, authentic dishes. Service good, but not outstanding.

The good reviews are a mystery to me. Very nice restaurant, reserved for 14 people. There were 6 other guests present besides us. Service, a young man, a lady and an older gentleman (probably the owner) stood with their backs to us for over 10 minutes and ignored us. At some point the cards were brought and drinks were taken. It took an hour after our arrival until our four appetizer plates were brought. Skin passage came immediately afterwards but was totally chaotic. The lady who took our food wasn't there during the main course. Nobody knew what they had anymore because the names were read out in Persian. We always had to shout loudly until service was at the table. The food was tasty but there was a lot of rice without sauce, very dry. Unfortunately it's a poor performance for 800 euros.

Alles super Das Restaurant ist schön und schick und gemütlich. Ein kleiner getrennter Raum für zb Familienfeier oder Betreibessen. Das Essen ist ein Traum auch das Geschirr und wie es serviert wird total schön. Toiletten sind sauber. Personal höflich und freundlich. Preise angemessen. Ein kleiner Punkt zu meckern: wir fanden keine Parkplätze vor dem Restaurant und mussten weiter weg parken.

Für mich das beste iranische Restaurant! Der Reis ist unglaublich gut, die Fleischsoßen ein Traum und die Kebaps OMG!!! Das familiengeführte Restaurant hat seit Jahren gleichbleibende Qualität auf höchstem Niveau… immer lecker lecker lecker!!

Great food and wine at incredibly reasonable prices. I see some recently gave only one star. Don't wish to be rude but I think he had an axe to grind. Just spent 5 weeks in France, Italy, Slovenia and Austria and this was right up there for quality and value. One of the cheapest and one of the best. Tried 2 red wines which were very good and probably cost half what some other restaurants were charging for inferior stuff. Only regret we're moving on tomorrow.

Ich habe das Lokal beim Spazieren entdeckt und da ich arabisches Essen liebe, haben wir die bestehenden Bewertungen geprüft und sofort entschieden den heutigen Abend dort zu verbringen. Obschon des, wegen eines Unfalls am Vortag reduzierten Personals, gab es keinerlei Einwände oder Verzögerungen. Sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und speditiv. Zu viert haben wir einen kulinarisch gelungenen Abend verbracht. Das Essen war von der Vor- bis zur Nachspeise hervorragend und der Preis ist angemessen. Besten Dank an das Team.

Super leckeres klassisches persisches Essen. Portionen sind genau richtig für einen gesunden Appetit. Preis-Leistung steht im richtigen Verhältnis Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und freundlich. Im Außenbereich lässt es sich schön ruhig im Hinterhof sitzen.

Für Heidelberg ist es das einzige vorasiatische Restaurant, in dem man nicht das Gefühl hat in einem ökonomisch orientiertem Imbiss zu sein. Wenn man also niveauvoll persisch essen möchte, isst :) man hier richtig.

Auf Empfehlung eines Freundes, sind wir ins Darwisch gegangen und waren begeistert. Wir kannten die persische Küche vorher nicht und waren daher sehr gespannt. Der Eigentümer hat uns bei Fragen gerne geholfen und war sehr freundlich. Die Speisen (Vorspeise, Hauptgang, Dessert) waren sehr lecker und ansprechend angerichtet - definitiv mal etwas anderes und wir kommen gerne wieder. Ein Highlight war das Safraneis - unbedingt probieren.

Freundliches junges Personal, unkompliziert, frische und leckere Küche. Wir waren spontan hier, wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und kommen wieder!

Wir sind spontan in das Restaurant gefahren, und hatten 3 unterschiedliche Gerichte. Jedes war hervorragend, einfach ein Genuss. Wer gute Küche mag wirklich eine Empfehlung.
