A very quaint little pub. We saw it and immediately knew we'd go there for dinner. You can't make reservations, which is understandable given that there are only a few tables. The staff were very nice, friendly, and had a good sense of humor. We had a meat solyanka, beef roulade, and blood sausage. The blood sausage was the absolute best for me. It was soooo good, I can still taste it in my mouth today, three days later, just thinking about it. 6 stars would be appropriate for the Ratsstübchen.

The Ratsstübchen is a good place to eat and drink. The food was very good. Unfortunately, it was a shame that neither the beer nor the soup we wanted to order was available. It was Friday evening, but since the menu isn't huge, that was a bit of a shame, but it can happen, of course.

Small but nice. Of course there is a counter where guests can have a drink, for example. E.g. waiting for a free table and unfortunately no card payment. But the food was great and apparently freshly prepared. We were very disappointed in other restaurants in WR, where everything tasted like Maggi. The service was super nice and accommodating. The black beer also tasted very good ;-)

We were once again looking for a restaurant for dinner. We asked in the afternoon if we could reserve a table, but this is not possible here. Nevertheless, we tried it in the evening. It was full but we didn't care. Since it's so cozy here, we sat at the bar and had a drink. We were served so warmly, it was amazing, as if we were regular guests. A table then became available so we could order something to eat. The menu is not too big, but still enough choice. What can I say, the food was amazing. I had a salad as a side dish. It was sooooo delicious that I just ordered the salad again. I can't say anything negative about the price either. Finally, a word about the two ladies who served: How could it be otherwise: awesome. They were super friendly but didn't act. All in all, guys you have to go here, you won't regret it. Thanks to the entire staff for the magical evening, because the food was very tasty, I also have to praise the chef here. If we are in Wernigerode again, we will definitely come back 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I can recommend the Ratsstübchen without reservation. Today I was able to experience friendly, competent and fast service. From the wine recommendation to the conversation about the food, everything was absolutely top. I'd love to come back.

We ate there twice during our stay in Wernigerode, a small, cozy and very nicely decorated restaurant. The food is very tasty, we had roast pork with red cabbage and dumplings. Fast and friendly service, wait about 10-15 minutes for the food. Highly recommended, always well attended. It's best to come between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. It's not possible to make a reservation.

A typical old pub has been converted into a restaurant and still allows "drinkers" at the bar. Nicely decorated, the landlady behind the bar has a complete overview of the small dining area and attentively attends to our requests. Yes, I liked it, and it's lovingly decorated; only the white porcelain plate for the cutlery was a tasteful mistake. Cutlery in a small basket would have been more appropriate. I was a little worried that the owner wouldn't be able to find a good chef for her pub-restaurant... But she was lucky. The chef can cook. The fried potatoes were good. I'm finally in the mood for fried potatoes again. The aspic, the salad, it was all good. The homemade sauce for the venison aspic was fantastic. It was delicious! There were other dishes on the menu that we would have liked to try on our vacation. However, since they didn't accept card payments, we didn't come back. It's a shame, because I actually recommend it. The restaurant, menu, chef, and service were really good. (Edit: slightly adjusted after the owner's reply)

We didn't have a reservation and were lucky to get the last available table. Lucky because everything was perfect. The ambiance was quaint and immediately put us at ease. Many guests were obviously regulars, with whom we quickly struck up a conversation. Therefore, everything felt almost like a homely atmosphere. The service was also friendly and good. But most importantly, of course: The food was truly delicious and the drinks were on tap. We'll definitely try to get a table again the next time we're in Wernigerode. :-)

We've been there before in the summer. Everything was good, so we booked a table for New Year's Eve. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed; the Holzfäller Schnitzel was truly a joke. Prices were very high for such a small amount of food. Afterwards, we went to McDonald's to get our fill. That can't be right at those prices. Unfortunately, a very disappointing evening. Never again.

Highly recommended small restaurant with delicious food! The owner was very friendly and flexible. Although the only free table was reserved an hour later, we were able to sit down there to eat. Even our special requests were taken into account. The charcoal roast with wild mushroom cream was very tender and tasty. The prices were extremely moderate. It wasn't the last time we were there! Thank you for the good hospitality and flexibility!

We were here today for a little nightcap. First sat outside, better than any TV program. Then we sat comfortably at the counter and it was now pleasantly warmer at the end of October. A nice little place with super nice and cool service, where the heart is still in the right place and does the job with full energy. Two nice ladies, one completely responsible for the service and tap inside and outside, the other alone in the kitchen, who managed the place alone, packed to capacity. A seat became empty and was immediately filled again and everything went absolutely smoothly and no one had to wait long. Always a nice conversation at the counter with the great service staff, even though it was packed, but she still had everything in mind and in view, always remembered all the orders and served the guests the drinks and food perfectly. Thank you for the fact that there are still such super nice, great friendly, qualified and talkative service staff, no one wants to do that anymore. Thank you, thank you, thank you for still existing. It was a very pleasant final evening here with you and when we are back in Wernigerode, we will definitely stop by your place. We found the food to be rather simple. In addition, in our opinion, the prices quoted are too high, especially in terms of quantity. In any case, for €85 the three of us didn't really get full (one main course each with a simple non-alcoholic drink). Wouldn't eat here again. Otherwise a quaint, small restaurant with friendly service.

Menu was thrown on the table....luckily the waitress thawed it out later. It was nice though. Do not take grill counter 😞 Vegetarian schnitzel yes.

Very small, cramped restaurant. If you would like to sit very close to your body, this is the right place for you. Also very loud due to the narrow space. The waitress couldn't even remember two drinks correctly. Otherwise very friendly, hence the three stars. Instead of a large water we were given a small bottle. The sauce for the schnitzel had already separated again and for the completely overpriced price there wasn't even a small salad with it. We wouldn't go there a second time.

Great great great. Nice reception. Nice hospitality, My brawn with fried potatoes and tartar sauce was really great. You could taste that someone was lovingly standing in the kitchen and preparing the food. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Thank you for the nice stay.

Very friendly, quick preparation. However, the portions are rather small. The grill plate for just under €25 is worth a maximum of €18. The taste was OK.

We were guests in the Ratsstübchen at the weekend and were very satisfied. Clean, modern and comfortably furnished apartments in the middle of the city center! Great for exploring the old town. Friendly service and good food. Breakfast is offered in the Schlemmereck opposite, which is also highly recommended! We will definitely be back!

We stayed in the guesthouse for 6 days. Everything is perfectly fine. The room was clean and the price was reasonable for the area. The only drawback worth mentioning - which the hostess obviously can't do anything about - is that it's noisy outside at night and the city staff start cleaning the streets very early.

I have to give at least one star, unfortunately we were faced with a closed door, even though it says open on the website. A pity

Almost 2 years ago we had dinner in the Ratsstübchen while on holiday. This weekend, due to the public holiday, we decided to spend the long weekend in Wernigerode and stay overnight here. What should we say? We came in, were warmly welcomed by the 2 girls and were absolutely amazed by the large and clean apartment. Because of this, we immediately decided to book for the summer too. Today we had another delicious meal in the associated restaurant, and the gentleman in the staff group was also super nice. ☺️ Unfortunately we're going home again tomorrow. But we have motivation, it's not too long until summer. Thanks to you for the wonderful weekend, we look forward to the next time ❤️

We went to eat there because of the good reviews. Serious disappointment. The food wasn't very good for the money and wasn't tasty either. 0.4 water 4 euros. We paid 30 euros each and then went out to eat because we weren't full. I can't understand the restaurant. The service, however, was very nice and not to be envied. I have known the Ratsstübchen for many years. After Corona I was finally there again. It's still this wonderfully cozy place where you don't notice how time flies. Several beers fresh from the tap, great! Highly recommended.

Super cozy, traditionally furnished little restaurant. Sparkling clean. Small regional selection of dishes, but all the more high quality and tasty. IGood wines! Absolutely recommended.

Sehr gemütlich da eine kleine Gaststätte mit guter Küche. Die Ferienwohnung sind dem Fachwerkhaus passend mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und die Betten sind auch sehr komfortabel.

The food is good and I enjoyed myself extremely although I must say that the server seemed to orient herself to white customers and those she knew and would avoid or seemingly forget those with a darker skin tone (such as the person I was travelling with). The atmosphere was nice although a little bit cramped but there isn’t much to complain about as the food makes up for that.

Sehr nette Bedienung, Essen lecker und Schwarzbier und tolles Ambiente

Ich war heute mit meiner Frau in dem besagten Lokal essen, das Ambiente ist sehr Uhrig und lädt zum Verweilen ein, die Speisekarte ist etwas zu klein gehalten, man mehr Getränke Auswahl als Speisen auf der Karte. Die Servicekraft ist sehr zu vorkommend und bringt schnell Getränke an den Tisch. Jetzt das große Minus: Habe heute das Holzfäller Steak bestellt mit Bratkartoffeln das Fleisch hat leider nicht mal die Normalgrösse wie es sein sollte maximal 120-150gramm ich bin leider nicht satt geworden und die Bratkartoffeln waren auch sehr überschaubar auf dem Teller. Nachdem ich das angesprochen haben mit der Fleischgrösse meinte die Servicekraft ich währe der erste der sich beschwert. Das Essen passt mit dem Preis Leistungsverhältnis leider nicht überein. Mein Fazit, ich würde zum Essen da nicht mehr hingehen aber zum trinken schon.

Haben dort Mittag gegessen, Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich, schöne Terrasse mit genug Decken bei dem kalten Wetter, allerdings würde der Bedienung ein Lächeln besser stehen :-) - daher ein Stern Abzug

Wir waren zum Abendessen da und haben noch einen Platz am Tresen bekommen. Meine Frau hat sich zwar auf das Schnitzel gefreut, was wir allerdings nicht auf der Karte wiederfinden konnten. Der Schweinebraten hat geschmacklich aber überzeugt. Barfrau war nett und das Ambiente war urig gemütlich passend zur Stadt. Preislich fand ich es auch angemessen, die allgemein gestiegenen Preise müssen ja auch an den Kunden weiter gegeben werden.

Auf jedenfall weiter zu empfehlen .

...mehr als nur ein Wochenende. Am Anreisetag, am späten Nachmittag diese kleine urige Kneipe/Gasthaus entdeckt. Tolles Ambiente, ein bissl rustikal. Wirtin....vom Typ her "coole Socke". Das Essen.... "Sau-Lecker". Persönlich kann ich den Harzer Köhlerbraten empfehlen. (Schweinebraten mit Pilzsoße und Kartoffelklöße). Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Ach so.... ganz lieben Gruß aus Berlin

Ich war ein verlängertes Wochenende im Ratsstübchen Wernigerode zu Gast und kann es eigentlich nur empfehlen. Ein uriges Ambiente, gemütliche Zimmer, nettes Personal und auch leckeres Essen laden zum verweilen ein. Gern komm ich wieder, Danke! 👍😊

Das war nix. Mein Mann hatte Pfifferlinge mit Salzkartoffeln- eine lächerlich kleine Portion für einen ausgewachsenen Mann. Mein Holzfällersteak ging so, die Bratkartoffeln waren recht matschig und die Sauce total überwürzt. Das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis stimmt hier nicht. Zudem muss man recht lange auf das Essen warten. Würde ich nicht wieder hingehen.

Heute ging es ins Ratsstübchen. Der Service war extraklasse und sehr nett. Das Ambiente Uhrig einladend. Das Essen kam nach einer angemessenen Zeit. Allerdings hat bei allem etwas der Pfiff gefehlt. Das Fleisch war gut, aber nicht perfekt und die Bratkartoffeln hätten auch noch ein wenig gekonnt. Wir kommen gern nochmal wieder.

So ganz spontan sind wir hier eingekehrt. Es war eine gute Entscheidung, hier Platz zu nehmen. Wir konnten schön draußen sitzen. Die Speisekarte hat uns auf Anhieb gut gefallen. Die Auswahl ist reichlich. Das Essen schmeckte uns sehr gut. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Uns hat es hier sehr gut gefallen 👍
