We took a short break here during our bike tour. The WuPO was super tasty and the drinks were nice and cold. The service was very friendly, attentive and the prices were reasonable in my opinion. Nice location right on the Rhine/cycle path. TOP, very happy again....

Nice restaurant right on the Rhine or the bike path in between. The staff very friendly. The dishes, from cakes to savory ones, look good and we enjoyed them.

It is recommended for a break on a longer bike tour. Drinking is normal. When it comes to food, the offering is rather small like in a larger snack bar, but sufficient if you are on tour and want to grab a little something to eat and have a view of the Rhine want to do to relax.

We really liked it here. The ambience was great with a great location. The staff was very nice and the food tasted very tasty. Prices are really pleasant. We'll be back, great👍👍👍

There is good food here for a reasonable price. The service is always very nice and accommodating.

Very easy to reach by bike or on foot. Centrally on the banks of the Rhine. Whether for coffee and cake or a beer, it's always worth a stop. Value for money is good.

Frozen pressed chip schnitzel tastes best when it is freshly fried to death in the fish fryer. 🤮 terrible, also the "French fries" beautifully mushy - greasy

We were there on a public holiday when the weather was good. It was correspondingly full. Nevertheless, we found space at one of the long beer benches. We only had drinks and cake. The cake was very good. I can't say anything about other food. We were positively surprised by the service. Even though it was extremely busy, the employees were very quick, attentive and extremely friendly.

Nice restaurant, nice service and a nice view. But: after almost 2 hours there was still no food, not even the salad or not even a sandwich. Unfortunately, the bike tour continued without food.

Nice service, good beer, unfortunately completely inept kitchen. After 90 minutes the food (sausage salad + fries) still wasn't there and we left hungry. This should be done by professionals, not beginners.

Always a pleasure to take a break from a big bike tour. The cake is always delicious.

Very friendly staff, delicious food and inexpensive Addendum: unfortunately things are no longer the same as they were for a long time. The portions have become smaller, the dishes are more expensive and the quality is no longer what we were used to... It's a real shame, unfortunately we have to look for something else

We always like going there because the service was very friendly and competent. Unfortunately she is no longer there??!! The milk was already in the coffee, milk broth where the coffee and cake wasn't fresh

It's a really beautiful spot, the Rhine a stone's throw away, on foot for a long walk or a small. Nice hike to reach. The service was very friendly, but there were a lot of people walking around who were probably part of the staff but weren't paying attention to us, there was a lot of in and out of the restaurant and kitchen (how it looked, but I can't say 100%). The fries are now very rarely seasoned with french fries salt, and you probably cut them yourself too, in any case very tasty!!! I had a schnitzel gratinated with cheese, simply great. My companion had fish, which wasn't that great, but quite ok. Price-performance was really ok. We'd love to see you again on the next hike. Please bring cash with you, you can't pay by card anywhere, which is understandable so far away from the gunfire.

It took a while for people to notice us. Once the order was placed, things progressed, despite the fact that there were a few guests there. It was nice to sit outside that day and watch the goings-on on the Rhine 😉

Der schönste Ort um in ruhiger Natur zu entspannen. Gemütlich direkt am Rheinufer das leckere Essen genießen. Die Pommes sind mega lecker...wie Alles hier. Hausgemachter feiner Kuchen ein Muß! Der Wein stets gut gekühlt und randvoll eingeschenkt :). Die Bedienung stets freundlich und sehr flink unterwegs. Für Gehbehinderte ein Hinweis: um zur Toilett zu kommen muss man viele Stufen hinauf gehen.

Schöner Biergarten direkt am Rhein, immer wieder ein toller Stopp, wenn man zwischen Karlsruhe und Germersheim unterwegs ist.

Schöner Platz am Rhein für Radfahrer oder Spaziergänger. Gute Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken - Preise normal ....

Gute Ausflugsgaststätte mit einfachen und preiswerten Speisen und sehr beruhigendem Rheinblick.

Die 45 Minuten Fahrzeit mit dem E-Bike waren nicht umsonst. Leckere Pommes, perfekter Glühwein. Freundliche Bedienung! Immer wieder gerne! Selbstverständlich gibt es auch kühles Bier! Und zwei Pfaue sind auch wieder da!

Komme nun schon fast 20 Jahre immer mal zum Abschluß meiner Pfalzradtouren vorbei und war immer zufrieden mit dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Klar es ist ein besserer Kiosk und kein Restaurant. Das ehrliche Ambiente ohne künstliche Kulissen und pälzer Originalen war immer Trumpf. Doch in letzter Zeit wünsche ich mir wieder die Selbstbedienung zurück. Da wusste man wenigstens für wieviel Geld man sich in die Schlange stellt und musste sich auch nicht von teilweise unprofessionellen Bedienungen die Freizeit vermiesen lassen. Sehen sie es als konstruktive Kritik.

Wir waren mittags mit den Kollegen auf einen kurzen Sprung zum Essen eingekehrt. Das Essen, in meinem Fall Käseschnitzel mit Pommes, waren in Ordnung. Die Pommes knackig, das Schnitzel gut überbacken, das Fleisch aber leider etwas trocken. Der bestellte Käsekuchen kam mir nach dem ersten Bissen nicht mehr ganz frisch vor. Bei genauerer Betrachtung zeigten sich erste schimmlige Stellen, der stand wohl schon einige Tage. Beanstandet und erklärt bekommen, dass das so nicht sein sollte, weiter nichts. Schade, hier hätte das Personal punkten können, kam aber leider nichts. So hat die alte Ziegelei leider keinen guten, abschließenden Eindruck hinterlassen.

Ich war mal großer Fan der Ziegelei, bin es vom Ambiente immer noch. Ein toller Platz direkt am Rhein, bei Sonnenschein könnts fast nicht schöner sein - nur, dass man es sich jetzt kaum mehr leisten kann. Die Preise haben stark angezogen, stehen jetzt leider auch nicht mehr im Verhältnis zur Leistung. Sowohl vom Essen, als auch vom Service. Habe beides schon deutlich angenehmer erlebt, schade um diesen schönen Ort, nimmt viel von der Authentizität...

Dass man auf das Essen lange warten muss, kann ich ja manchmal nachvollziehen. Aber dass man eine halbe Stunde ignoriert wird, wenn man zahlen möchte, das ist neu.

Lekker gelunched. Vanaf de eettafels op het terras een mooi uitzicht.

Ein nettes Ausflugsziel wo man sein Getränk genießen kann und auf das Essen lieber verzichtet . Wir waren zum zweiten Mal dort und obwohl der Platz nur mäßig belegt war, sind wir nach über einer Stunde Wartens unverichteten Dinge gegangen. Das Küchen Personal scheint völlig unkompetent zu sein.
