Large selection of excellent food, very friendly and prompt service. We'll definitely be back.

We tried bunch of Indian restaurants before but they all didn’t match Rasmalai, appetizers were delicious, food was amazing and dessert was wonderful. Indian style mocktails are must try.

The restaurant was very clean, and the restrooms were well-maintained and clean. The staff was friendly and kept asking if everything was okay :) The food was prepared quickly, and the wait time was no longer than 15-20 minutes. The ambiance was nice, just a little too dark. Overall, a very good recommendation for anyone who wants to try Indian food! We will be back!

I ordered yellow dal which was stinking when I opened the parcel. It was smelling like it was stale and to cover that they put lot of lemon in dal. What kind of food is this? I am a student studying in the hotel management and one day suddenly I will be there to check the food. So manager and staff be ready for this anytime… you should be shameful that you serve this kind of food … because of you people Indian food is not considered good… if you don’t have capability to run a restaurant then close it instead.. if anything happens to the person who eats this kind of food he will be in hospital…. I will not leave you … just waiting for the right time to arrive

The food was delicious and very digestible, with no side effects at all 😉 The cocktails were also very good. We booked through OpenTable and listed "birthday" as the reason (which we also celebrated), and there was a very special surprise for dessert! Update August 2025: We visited the restaurant again and were able to dine in the cozy garden. It was a wonderful experience, just like last time 😀

Horrendous. The most un“authentic Indian cuisine” I’ve ever seen. I’ve eaten here before more than a year ago, and either the ownership has changed or the chef has changed or both. Chicken tikka masala was painfully some sort of canned? tomato soup with cheap chicken pieces added. I couldn’t bring myself to say anything in the restaurant because obviously you don’t care if you’re willing to serve such a poor excuse for a curry. Shame.

The staff was in a hurry, we waited an hour for the food, which is unusual I would say, then the food came and my paneer masala literally tasted like tomato soup, it was so bland I couldn't believe what I was tasting. Also the staff not once asked if we even liked the food, which is a red flag on its own for me. In short, skip this place and spend your money elsewhere, it's not worth it.

Typical “Indian” restaurant mainly catering non-Indians… not saying food was bad , it was probably good quality and probably made of good ingredients. However it didn’t taste good… it was ready very soon … biriyani was made by mixing chicken and gravy with basmati rice , chicken tikka by mixing gravy with pieces … It was so funny 🤣

Anyone who doesn’t go there has missed a lot

We spent a wonderful first evening in Munich here. Luckily, they're open a little later than usual in Hadern, so we were able to enjoy our food and drinks until 10:30 p.m. (probably longer, as we weren't the last ones there). The ambiance is modern, and the service is attentive. We had vegetarian street food: something a little different from what we're used to at an Indian restaurant, and we loved it. Thanks for the lovely evening.

We ate here today. We hadn't been in the area for a while. So, instead of a sushi bar, we went to an Indian restaurant. Well, why not? The atmosphere is really great. The service, at first glance, was also very good. Ordered food. No children's portion. Only one more dish at full price... eh, wow. Okay. So, only ordered two meals. The rice we had with it was typical basmati rice, but somehow tasteless. Not what you'd expect from an Indian restaurant. Tandoori food was good. Butter chicken was good too. Naan bread was half-cooked and tasteless. When we tried to pay, the server just looked at us. I didn't respond, the same server immediately served someone else. After the second attempt, he responded but sent someone else ahead. After I said "By card," he told me the amount, but I didn't want to give a tip. He was visibly angry and didn't speak to us again. Considering the price, it's a shame. In any case, nothing more for me/us. It was a unique experience.

The service was quite good, the staff were friendly, but the food was a complete disappointment. Very small portions for a relatively high price, and the taste was simply awful. The chicken was half-raw, and the vegan dishes were completely overcooked and lacked flavor. I've rarely eaten such bad Indian food. Definitely not recommended.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal zum Geburtstag da. Im Oktober 2024 zu meinem und heute zu dem meiner Tochter - vorher angekündigt - im Gegensatz zum Oktober war der Service heute extrem schlecht und es war nicht mal halb voll. Kein happy Birthday - aber sofort unterm Essen zahlen wegen Schichtwechsel - wir kommen leider nicht mehr.

A little lured by the high rating, we wanted to try the Rasmalai restaurant. When we walked in, the atmosphere was very pleasant and we were greeted by friendly service staff. We ordered shrimp once with a masala curry sauce and once with a coconut sauce. And here was the catch for us. The food was ready super quickly, but it was very poorly seasoned. Even in the masala sauce, the taste of tomato dominated and I missed the typical Indian spices. The shrimp were also quite hard and chewy. Unfortunately, that wasn't what we expected based on the high ratings. The price was too high for the snack character of the food. Too bad.

We used to go there often but did not go for many months since there are many more choices than Indian in our area. We found that tastes of the food were not authentic like before. It was so bland we felt like no salt no seasoning at all. Even the chutney given for Samosa was very watery taste. Chicken tikka has no spice at all. Palak paneer not bad but could be better. It is not worth to go back unless they improve the flavor.

The staff is very attentive and friendly, the food is beautifully prepared, and the ambiance invites you to a cozy "Indian" evening... we'd be happy to go back...

I found it very tasty :) I think it's great that there are several vegan dishes and that they are so excellent. Saves you the hassle of searching and asking around. Top!

We actually like to get food at rasmalai, but we didn't like it today. The naan was completely tasteless, the cucumber raita lacked any spices and the palak tofu was bland.

Good Indian food, the butter chicken was super tender but could have used a little more seasoning. The service was nice and attentive.

Toppppest taste, here several times, always delicious, vegan/veggie selection, nice ambience and nice, funny conditions, who enjoy their work m8. Have Fun Birthday Service. Because Munich is also expensive, like many restaurants.

We have been living near Rasmalai and have been ordering food since it was founded. Initially, the service and food quality were excellent. However, with the staff changes, there has been a significant decline, especially in customer service.I ordered Gobi Manchurian but received and was billed for Chicken Manchurian instead.I had to go back again to pick up and get my actual order. They didn’t even apologise for their mistake. The staff is unwilling to properly listen to customer needs, and the overall food quality has also declined.

Very tasty dishes, lots to choose from including vegetarian options. The portions were a little too small, so doing share plates didn't work out great. The atmosphere and decor was very appealing and it's easy to get to from the U-Bahn.

Modern restaurant with Indian cuisine. The modern, industrial flair is something different. The food is excellent, naan is perfectly baked in the tandoori, the food comes quickly and the service is very attentive. Absolutely recommended, even if you want to drink a cocktail in the evening. We went there twice for dinner and it was always great.

We picked up food. - Samosa u. Pakoras tasted everyone - Chicken Nilgiri tasteless. No trace of sharpness or spices - Mango Duck: sauce ok. Even spicier than the actually spicy nilgiri preparation. Duck not only not baked or even crispy but simply a tough, gristly, sinewy, shapeless pile - Mango chicken: It was ok Unfortunately, we really can't recommend the restaurant at all. :( We would have been very happy to have a good Indian restaurant nearby

We have ordered Palak paneer and they served something which is not up to the mark for me. Lassi was okay not something I will recommend. Quantity is also not enough if you plan for two. Naan is okay but not the best They have good interior but overall not impressed

We ordered palak paneer to take away yesterday. Unfortunately, this simply uses frozen creamed spinach, lightly seasoned and mixed with cheap paneer. For €14.50 a real impudence. For €3.70 you get one(!) rubbery naan. The gentleman on the phone also had a certain bored demeanor about him. To end the review on a positive note, the atmosphere is really nice. If the food hadn't been so disappointing, we would have liked to have eaten there.

I had a disappointing visit here. The vegan options surprisingly contained butter, which isn't acceptable for vegan dishes. The chicken tasted off, and the pasta we ordered without sauce was so spicy the kids couldn’t eat it. Overall, poor attention to dietary needs and food quality.

Used to be 2 years ago the food was a thousand times better. Service wasn't unfriendly but listless... I had diarrhea about an hour after eating (apparently the spinach sauce was made from Iglo Blupp), sorry it tasted like that. Unfortunately the food is no longer worth the price. Unfortunately, savings are always being made in the wrong places. More expensive but worse and less.

We went for dinner. Looks like a cozy place for groups and individuals. The service was surprisingly fast. We didn’t have to wait long for our food. Ordered paneer makhni and garlic naan. Rasmalai as dessert. Overall the food was satisfactory. They also have lunch menu during weekdays. You can get dishes for lesser prices. They offer some discount if you are staying in the hotel next to the restaurant.

I was eating at Rasmalai with my family but unfortunately a hair came out of my food - clearly a man's hair - I suspect it came from the kitchen. When I showed it to the waitress, he took my plate with him and we then paid straight away The appetite disappeared, there was not a single apology or explanation for this abnormal action - I found it quite a shame - it was completely ignored. That was my first and last time there, it was pretty unhygienic and unsavory - it was a shame.

I tried the spinach curry, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and lemon chicken. All were delicious although they didnt have enough spice to them but spinach curry was not at all like the actual indian curry. The spinach was not blended in with the curry (which is not a big problem if the curry had a little seasoning) and the curry didnt have any spice or regular indian seasoning to it. Although the food and atmosphere is good, this is not the place to go if you want to try real indian food. All the currys were Germanised. Nonetheless, there were a lot of vegan and vegeterian options and the menu is very extended. If I were to come again I would definitely ask for more seasoning.

I'm just annoyed that I didn't hear about this great restaurant sooner and wasn't there sooner. No, I'm really, really happy! Thank you very much for just that!

Excellent cuisine freshly and tasty prepared. The restaurant is modern and chic, and there is a pretty little garden at the back with outside seating. Easily accessible, parking is no problem.

Delicious food, nice service, in a nice atmosphere (in the restaurant or outside). The warm chocolate cake for dessert is highly recommended.

Enjoy your meal. Unfortunately, you can notice the high tension of the waitress, who appeared annoyed at every extra wash, such as lighting a candle. In the end, we didn't even dare to order a dessert so as not to put additional strain on the service staff.

I have no idea why this restaurant has such good reviews. The food is below average, the rice is not seasoned at all (as usual in Indian cuisine) it tastes like sushi rice. Everything was very bland and without taste. I know completely different Indian restaurants. Tastes like cheap bistro food but prices like a restaurant.

Unfortunately the restaurant didn't convince me at all, to be honest I'm even disappointed! I absolutely cannot understand the good reviews. The food was absolutely bland and boring, the portions were tiny, the meat was tough and the dishes were served within 10 minutes... so they can't have been freshly prepared. The drinks were in tarnished glasses without ice. The staff was nice but nothing more…

Have been to Rasmalai several times, 100% recommended: always a great mix of delicious food (on request there is also Indian spicy not just German spicy 😉), cool, chic interior (pleasantly different than other Indian restaurants), relaxed atmosphere, colorful mix of guests, loungey music, nice bar and pleasant service. And stays open later than just 10 p.m. like many others in MUC. I'd love to come back!

I had a truly excellent evening in this exquisite restaurant. The food was of the highest quality, delicately prepared and a feast for the palate. Since there are now vegans, vegetarians and meat lovers in our family, it is almost impossible to cook well for everyone! That's why we like to go to rasmalai with our guests. Our guests are between the ages of 25 and 85. I know that everyone always enjoys it. The service staff is always very friendly, helpful, hospitable and knows how to have fun. You can sit in the restaurant or in the garden. The price is also completely reasonable. What I pay there, I would certainly also spend at home, on the guests. The restaurant is easy to reach as the subway station and bus stops are very close, and you can also park on the street. The only point of criticism is that the passage from the restaurant to the garden is very dangerous, unfortunately you can easily fall. Please make sure to change!!!!

Fantastisches indisches Essen. Tolle Auswahl an authentischen Gerichten. Tandoori Gerichte sind außen leicht knusprig, innen zart/saftig. Sehr faire Preise, super Qualität. Sehr schönes, modernes Ambiente, sehr schöne Einrichtung. Fast schon gediegen, mit indischem, nicht zu aufdringlichem Akzent. Wir waren abends hier am zweiten Weihnachtsfeiertag und kommen gerne wieder .

A great ambience. Located near the bus station. Service is good. Food is good. But the portion is less. Chicken tikka curry tasted good and the rasmalai dessert was extraordinary. Must try the dessert once.
