I normally don’t leave negative reviews but I had to. We got one of the duck dishes, the meat arrived extremely dry, It's embarrassing to serve such a dish to a customer, truly not eatable, they weren’t at all prepared in the sitting arrangement and had to move us after we had already sat and ordered bc they didn’t plan the sitting correctly. But the worst was when I saw a literal mouse running around the restaurant, it ran next to my feet and I was shocked, I didn’t believe my eyes, I was trying to be nice and called the lady and told her that there is a mouse running around, I’m not sure If she didn’t understand or whatever but she just said nothing, I would expect of you to say something to a visibly concerned costumer who just seen a mouse at a place they’re supposed to eat at in a few moments. A true disgrace do not recommend.

The food was very tasty and was served very quickly. We were there on Saturday evening, it was very crowded and loud, you should make a reservation. The price is a bit more expensive, which is okay considering the quality. The service was very friendly. Drawback: There was no more tofu, which isn't ideal given the variety of dishes that are served with it.

Das Essen ist auf mittelmässigen Provinzimbiss Niveau.Wir haben 80€ für zwei Personen, zwei Biere, ein Glas Wein, zwei ganz schwache Vorspeisen und zwei schlechte Hauptspeisen bezahlt. Eine Frechheit. Wir mussten sogar um Servietten bieten.

Our visit to Rama V in Frankfurt was a completely successful experience! We were immediately impressed by the stylish ambience - a little piece of Thailand in the middle of Frankfurt, perfect for relaxing and enjoying. The food was simply fantastic! Each dish was beautifully presented and full of authentic flavors. The menu offers a great variety, so there is really something for every taste, including vegetarians. We were particularly impressed by the fresh preparation, which made every dish seem like a little culinary adventure. Big compliments to the team too! The service was friendly and attentive, so we felt we were in good hands. You don't often find such warm hospitality and it rounded off our evening perfectly. Unfortunately we didn't manage to try dessert - but we'll definitely do that next time! We can highly recommend Rama V and will definitely come back. Unfortunately, it is now extremely overpriced and the quality has deteriorated. We have been to Rama V several times in recent years. The food was always very tasty, the prices were ambitious, but still reasonable due to the convenient location in Frankfurt. However, since our last visit a few months ago, prices have increased significantly again. While you can still find the menu with the old prices online, in the restaurant you now pay €17 instead of €13.50 for a tiny beef salad (not fillet) as a starter. The portion was so tiny that my companion didn't want to try it because there was hardly anything left. The main course we ordered was also increased from 17 to 20, but the crowning achievement was two 0.75l bottles of Taunusquelle water, which cost 17 euros!! were taken into account. Since the drinks can only be found on a separate menu, we unfortunately didn't notice this before ordering. The quality of the food was ok, but not outstanding and paying €54 for a starter, a main course and 2 bottles of regional water is extremely overpriced. It's a shame Rama V, but we certainly won't be back that quickly!

Great atmosphere in the restaurant. Beautifully decorated and inviting. Unfortunately, the food wasn't the highlight considering the prices. The coconut shrimp starter had no trace of coconut at all and the Pad Thai for the main course was one of the most boring I've ever tasted. The service was also just ok and not special. I wouldn't come here again for Thai food.

Overrated: The seating is very tight, it is very dark and the prices are very overpriced (€8.50 for a bottle of water). There is also a meal that has little to do with Thailand (hardly seasoned, duck like Chinese...) Frankfurt has better Thais to offer!

Food and service really very good. But I don't think the prices for the starters are reasonable. We had the shrimp grapefruit salad for 17 euros, which was too much for what came.

First of all, the service was good and the location is also ok. Unfortunately, the taste of the dishes was very boring - the seasoning was completely missing. The portions were ok in terms of quantity, but overall they were very expensive and the prices of the drinks were a bit exaggerated. Unfortunately, there will be no second visit for us.

High end thai food restaurant with stylish ambiance.

We ordered duck meat. It's outrageous how the quality of the duck is skimped on at this price level. The duck was almost all skin, as if they had served us leftover meat. Quality was really bad.

Quite large and therefore quite crowded and loud when it's busy. The food is really great but the quite high price difference (especially for the drinks) compared to other Thai restaurants is not 100% justified in my opinion. Of course you have to compare with other restaurants in the city center, where it is generally expensive. What's great is the large selection of fish and seafood dishes and the fact that there are more than the "typical" starters.

Excellent experience: welcoming atmosphere, attentive and friendly service, menu with great dishes and it tastes fantastic. We will be happy to come back.

Nice atmosphere, quality price ratio not so good. Red curry dish too salty, complained to the waiter but not a useful reaction, just ignored me with a smile. Asked to add hot water to the tea, just barely enough tea quantity for one serving, a little cheap from their side. Will not come again.

Very nice food but the amount on the bill and the amount entered onto the card reader did not match. I did not notice until after I had paid. I asked the waitress why as I was leaving and she told me she had added a 10% tip for herself. I have eaten here before (and in plenty of other places in Germany) and this has never happened. Obviously I should have checked the card reader more diligently before paying, but this was not a mistake and was apparently intentional.

The food was delicious and the restaurant is very nicely designed. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is poor here. 13€ for an Aperol that wasn't well mixed, 17€ for rice with tofu. There are comparable restaurants in comparable locations where you pay noticeably less.

Went here with the big family and treated ourselves to a nice lunch. The food was generally very tasty and authentic. The portions were just right, not too big but not too small either. Unfortunately, the prices for the food were way too high. We had plenty of space in the restaurant and it was very quiet. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

It was very crowded and loud on a Monday evening. Service didn't come to our table often but the waitresses were friendly. The food tasted authentic and wasn't bad, but you can get better for the price. The location is cozy but a bit cramped, you have little privacy.

Myself and two colleagues ate here last night. It took at least 20 minutes to get our drinks and then longer to order our meals and they had very few customers at the time. The duck was dry but the other 2 two meals were ok. When the bill came, the total was €110, so each of us gave her € 50, for a total of €150. We told her that we would like to split the bill evenly and would like the change. Instead of the expected €40 in change, she brought us €30. She had already taken out her €10 tip. Wow! We pointed out her error but she acted like she didn't understand English. I have never had any restaurant do that to me! (We actually would have left her more than €10.) I have eaten there for several years but I have spent my last euro at Rama V!!! Never again! I would encourage you to also go to another restaurant.

Very nice Thai style restaurant. The dishes are all freshly prepared, served hot (which is unfortunately no longer standard in many other places these days), and the eyes also eat. Service is very attentive, sometimes a little too professional, but that's not a negative aspect. Not exactly cheap, but the highest level of quality. You should definitely make a reservation early; spontaneous visits are probably only realistic from around 9 p.m.

The Rama V in Frankfurt offers excellent Thai cuisine in a harmonious ambience. The hosts are exceptionally friendly. We ate very well and felt comfortable.

Very nice atmosphere, the decor was great for a thai restaurant. The staff was attentive. The food was not too good for the prices. The Laab salad with duck was tasting poor, I can’t recommend it. Additionally I had some red curry with chicken, that was very average. The taste was not far superior compared to a basic thai place. From the perspective of these two dishes I can’t recommend to eat here. It’s a bit disappointing for me to eat here, even though I didn’t came with any expectations.

Went there relatively late during the work week, food was brought out very quickly and was enough to fill us up. It also tasted very good. Staff was friendly, but could have stopped by more often considering it was so empty. The 2-person tables are quite small, especially if you get the dishes with extra rice it can get tight. But that doesn't matter.

Good atmosphere, very good food, close to the City center

For everyone who is considering whether the restaurant is worth visiting. It's enough for once. I thought it was tasty, but other Thais can keep up with it (also with a nice atmosphere.) The service is friendly, but not as attentive as it should be. Example: The head waitress passed us 4-5 times and I expect more, especially if she has taken something from us in advance in the follow-up order. The atmosphere was loud due to the background noise, but perhaps that is due to the acoustics in the room. Maybe I'll give it another chance at some point. Unfortunately, price-performance doesn't match.

Our starters were swapped with another table. When we were finished, they apologized to us instead of bringing it to our attention right away. Fried spring rolls and wontons, nothing special. We had something with duck as a main course twice, both of which were very bland. The icing on the cake was that the cheaper starters that were served were not charged for. We are disappointed with the restaurant.

For long time Rama V was the finest tasty Thai food place in Frankfurt. Last time and this time from 4 dishes (2 entry and 2 main) half was good and the other half was at best average. E.g., the beef with lemongrass was plain, flavourless, dry. The beef was not tender and there was just a (Big) heap of meat in thin sauce. The friendly service was not interested in feedback, when I after each course pointed to the good and not so good. At the end we were asked how everything was and on our feedback (fish very good but beef so so) the answer was “ you can post it on Facebook”. Wherever the issue is in the “line of command”, I don’t expect this in a restaurant of such reputation and with my previous positiv close to 25 year experience here.

I found the drinks overpriced ie. € 7.00 for a medium apple juice.

The restaurant does not respond to reservation requests via Quandoo. I asked by phone a day later and was told there was no space! Good service and hospitality looks different... Update: Now, 6 hours after the phone call and about 30 hours after the request, I received a reservation confirmation without comment, even though the restaurant was completely booked 6 hours before at the time I requested. I also said on the phone that my request should please be deleted. That probably didn't work either.

We made a reservation there on February 6, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. Delicious food, nice ambience! But the service/condition was very unfriendly and rude (waitress with long black hair, medium height). That's why I don't give full stars! The owner or management should pay more attention to the staff hired and how they serve the guests. A good restaurant, but with such employees as a condition they let their reputation be ruined. ..

As always at Rama 5, we ate well. Very good quality of food, great taste and nice ambience, what more could you want?

We ordered 2 duck dishes at one stand there was no pineapple, when the waitress asked why there was pineapple in it she said it was normal, at the other the duck meat was very dry, when we asked questions the answer was "duck meat is always dry"! Without asking if she can improve anything. A restaurant in this price level should offer better service.

It was our first time there... And it was worth it. In a stylish ambience with professional, reserved and friendly people, we serve high-quality Thai cuisine, aromatic and with varying levels of spiciness. Simply delicious. Priced slightly above the basic Thai, but justified for the overall package.

I've known about Rama-V for over a decade 20 years. We used to eat there regularly. Back then it was excellent authentic Thai food. What we were served today doesn't have much to do with good Thai food from back then. The level has changed. The chefs are changed every 4 years, it was said.

Thai Rindfleisch Salat bestellt für 15EUR und so erhalten wie im Bild. Sehnig fettiges Rindfleisch ohne Gemüse. Das Restaurant hätte auch einfach Wert auf Qualität legen und meine Bestellung einfach absagen können. Nicht cool! Dank Wolt zumindest die Hälfte wieder erstattet.

Leider gibt es meinen Lieblings-Cocktail nicht mehr und mein Essen hat mir bei nächsten Besuch auch nicht so geschmeckt, daher einen Punkt Abzug.

Comida increíble y atención muy buena.De los mejores sitios donde he estado en mi vida en cuanto a variedad y calidad.El sitio es bonito,lo único que no me gustó mucho es que las mesas están muy cerca y estando lleno hay exceso de sonido...no se habla especialmente bajo en Alemania, al menos no en ciertos restaurantes. Having read about awards and bunch of good reviews we decided to go and have dinner at Rana V. Location itself is very convenient just few minutes away from Konstablerwache. As for the restaurant itself loved the decoration and the ambiance. Very beautiful contrary to many Thai restaurants in restaurant that have good food but are basically like canteens. Here it is ideal even for special occasions. The staff was friendly and the menu huge so many different options to choose from. My friends decided to have chicken dishes and they were delicious my choice I guess was not good . The crispy duck was too crispy and not enough sauce. I regreted having chosen this dish. The portions were big and contrary to what some claim the prices are good taking into account the restaurant itself and the portions. I will give it for sure another try and can recommend it

Es war mal mein Lieblings Thai Restaurant in Frankfurt. Ich war heute hier. Durchschnitte Qualität, mittelmäßige Würze. Das hat definitiv 0 mit Feinschmecker zu tun. Einfach nur okay. Schade, ich hatte mich gefreut. Werde mich nun zum ersten Mal nach Alternativen umschauen.

Traditionelles Thai Restaurant mit guter Auswahl an Speisen. Geschmacklich sehr gut, obwohl der angegebene Schärfegrad eher dem Deutschen Geschmack angepasst wurde. Aber das ist meine Meinung, denke, vielen der weiteren Gäste war es scharf genug. Man bekommt aber auf Wunsch Abhilfe. Service war trotz viel Betrieb sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Besten Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder.
