Kemtong in Frankfurt am Main

Delicious food. Very friendly staff. We had to change tables because of the higher seating position. It was no problem at all. We'll definitely be back.

I travel a lot and eat out very often. I've also been to Thailand many times. Kemtong is by far the best Thai restaurant I've found in Germany. From the traditional Kra Pao to the very rare Makheu, everything is on the menu. Super delicious, special requests are welcome, and the service is friendly. And they can make it extremely spicy upon request (I've had up to 30 bird's eye chilies on my plate). The only thing missing is card payment ;)

The staff is very friendly, and the selection is extensive. Unfortunately, all the dishes contain MSG, and the value for money isn't right for me—the vegetables and meat don't seem high-quality. Years later, I ordered again and discovered that the quality had gotten even worse. It's a shame—I won't be back.

Everything was great so far, but the evening meal was a bit overpriced, hence the one-star deduction. I recommend the lunch menu, which is unbeatable in terms of price.

As many times as I've been to Schwanheim, I've only recently discovered this restaurant. It's the best Thai food I've eaten outside of Thailand. The coconut soup was incredibly delicious, and the spicy chicken and duck platter was a real treat. It was beautifully prepared. The service was very friendly, and the ambiance was excellent. You can even sit outside if it's not raining. Absolutely worth the visit. The 200 km from Baden-Württemberg were definitely worth it. I'd love to come back here again.

The apple spritzer was very good and well mixed. The service took a veeeeery long, but it was nice. The chicken was good, and the rice was way overcooked. It was also very expensive.

According to Instagram, this is a very good restaurant, so I'll give it a try. The food was delicious. Could have been a bit warmer. The service was very friendly. Nice beer garden, a pleasant place to sit. No card payments accepted, especially these days. All in all, there are better places.

Very good and authentic Thai food. Very nice ambiance with a garden. Not wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately, the food isn't as good as it used to be and has also become very expensive. But it's still worth going there. The fish could be bigger for the price.

Food average, anyone who knows Thai and likes to eat will notice that the food is designed for German and not Thai spicy. Prices are for the quality Takeaways are far too expensive. Cash payment is not possible and the service is just bad on both visits.

Food was ok, more run of the mill, nothing special in terms of taste. In addition, the portions were very small, which absolutely did not justify the above-average price combined with the taste. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio doesn't match.

I don't understand all these positive reviews. Have you never eaten authentic Thai food before? I have to say in 2016/17 the food was still quite good and inexpensive. Now I was back after a long time and was shocked by the high prices. EVERYTHING on the starter plate was fried, even the satay skewers. Some of the appetizers were already cold and tough because the waitress brought us a plate for 2 instead of 3 as expressly stated and then blamed it on the kitchen. A look at the plate before serving would have been enough to recognize this in time. 20€ for some frozen starter from the deep fryer is very overpriced. Main course wasn't much better either. Nothing had any authentic taste and the duck might as well have been made of rubber. It's absurd to sell something like that as authentic Thai food. And to set the prices like that is simply outrageous considering the quality. Never again

Cozy restaurant with authentic food and very friendly service.

Nice restaurant, very friendly service, but high prices. There are vegetarian dishes that can be made vegan, but a vegan menu would be nice. No papaya salad and no summer rolls, too bad. The fried bean sprouts with vegetables and tofu are quite tasty, but it's a very manageable portion for a whopping €14.50. No vegan dessert either, somehow they haven't kept up with the times here. But the staff is very helpful and friendly, so you can only give it a full 5 stars.

Mega authentic, I've never eaten Thai as well as I did there!!!

It used to be one of my regular restaurants, but unfortunately the quality has declined. The wontons have recently become smaller or less filled and some of them tasted dry. The portions of the main courses have also become smaller (but the price has been adjusted upwards) and some of the meat was still raw.

I regularly eat here during my lunch break. It always tastes very good and there is a small soup on the house. We've been there in the evenings from time to time, but unfortunately I have to say that the prices are significantly higher in the evenings, but it also tastes very good. The service is super friendly and even brought us drinks for our dog without asking.

The diversity of Thai cuisine can be found here. Freshly prepared and you can decide the level of spiciness yourself, it was prepared perfectly in our house. Everything tastes very fresh and a touch “finer” - but is that worth the slightly higher price? Therefore "only" 4 stars, decide for yourself.

If you eat at "Kemtong" - everything is just good. We love the duck dishes and the cocktails instead of dessert. One star deduction for ambience because it can get quite stuffy in the tent and on the veranda in summer. But the delightful service staff can't help that. Do you need a break? Travel to Kemtong! Relaxation guaranteed.

A big fav. Delicious food without any frills. Very authentic Thai food. Large selection of dishes. Portions are large. Price wise also ok. Suitable for a relaxed, nice evening. We recommend sitting outside on the terrace and not inside. Somewhat depressing style/furnishings inside. The employees are very nice and service-oriented, as they should be. I'm happy to be back again and again.

Good, but it's not really Thai anymore, a bit western-oriented, maybe a chef from China. Still good, but we now drive a few kilometers somewhere else to get the right Thai feeling on the palate. Unfortunately, it's been like this since 2023 and at least until March 24. We haven't been going since then. They are within walking distance, a real shame. The restaurant also informed ear several times, but nothing changed. If you like it there, great, everything is good.

Delicious 😋 Thai cuisine according to the original recipe (of course less spicy, but you can add more seasoning). Many people are now saving on expensive ingredients, but not here! Gladly again!

Ein sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit sehr nettem Personal und gutem Essen zu sehr guten Preisen. Unsere ganze Familie geht dort sehr gerne und auch öfter Essen. Ich empfehle, vorab zu reservieren, da dieses Restaurant gut besucht ist. 🥰

Leider nimmt die Qualität des Restaurants immer mehr ab. Es schmeckt okay, leider nicht viel besser als Saucen aus dem Supermarkt, und für den hohen Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Der Service ist etwas nachlässig, keine Frage, ob alles okay ist, weitere Getränke gewünscht sind etc.. Wir waren häufige Gäste, werden das Restaurant nach zwei eher unerfreulichen Besuchen nun aber meiden.

Essen schmeckt, Bedienung unaufdringlich höflich, Ambiente ok, Preise auch. Also immer eine sichere Wahl, man weiß, was einen erwartet und muss sich nicht ärgern.

Essen, Service und Ambiente top alles bestens. Der Hammer kam beim bezahlen. Nur BARGELD, trotz EC Schild an der Eingangstüre. Etwas doof wenn man diese Info erst beim Bestellen der Rechnung bekommt. Gab auch keine vernünftige Erklärung warum. Und dies in einer Zeit wo man im Kiosk den Kaugummi mit EC zahlen kann.

This restaurant has the potential to be 5 stars, but the waiters are really pushy. I was paying the bill and he directly asked me how much tip I was going to give him! I found that really rude. And their table arrangements are also really bad.

Wir waren zum Mittagessen mit Arbeitskollegen und Kolleginnen dort. Der Garten mit Zelt ist sehr gemütlich. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service war ebenfalls gut.
