Green Thai in Frankfurt am Main

Very loud – it was almost impossible to have a conversation in the restaurant, and it was also cold. There was a worm in my drink. The drink was replaced, but the manager or owner (a dark-skinned man, perhaps Turkish or Indian) was extremely rude – as if it were my fault for seeing the worm. My vegetable curry consisted almost entirely of peppers and beans, very monotonous. The prices here are also not exactly low. In the end, the waitresses practically waited for a tip and wouldn't leave the table until they received one. This was very unpleasant and intrusive.

This was my first time at this restaurant, and I was very disappointed. After just the first bite of my fried noodles, I had a long hair in my mouth – absolutely disgusting! 😩 This kind of thing should never happen in a restaurant. The waiter didn't even apologize but acted like it was perfectly normal. I found that incredibly disrespectful. The food was also completely unappealing. This was my first and last visit! I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and pays closer attention to hygiene and service in the future!

We had the red Thai curry twice. I was once told it was the best Asian restaurant in Frankfurt – absolutely not. The dish tasted of almost nothing, the vegetables were overcooked, and the whole thing was lukewarm. The ambiance is nice and the clientele pleasant, but there's a lot of room for improvement in terms of quality and taste. At €16, there won't be a second chance.

Unfortunately, we were given the impression that additional requests, such as glass noodles instead of rice, would incur an extra charge, even though this wasn't stated on the menu. The staff member in charge was unfriendly, without a smile, and seemed clearly annoyed. This behavior is not in keeping with the otherwise usual friendly standards of the establishment.

Very tasty and great service! We went for dinner as a couple and were completely satisfied. The welcome was warm, we barely had to wait, and we were seated immediately. Our order arrived quickly and was still piping hot – as always, the food is fantastic! I enjoy coming here regularly. The prices are fair, too, and the current ambiance is pleasant and unpretentious.

The two of us were here this afternoon. The food arrived warm at the table in no time. The vegetables were crunchy, the tofu very flavorful. The peanut sauce was sweet and savory, just right. The homemade Thai iced tea goes very well with the main courses. The service was very friendly, and my request to omit the bell peppers was immediately accommodated. Simply perfect. :)

Love there friend chicken dumplings though the quantity was less but was very tasty.. liked green Thai curry as well and mixed glass noodles.. very tasty homemade ice tea too.

After enjoying eating here for several years (whenever I'm in the area), today I realized that the chef was apparently having a bad day, despite the very friendly service. The green curry simply tasted watery, lacking any flavor. An attempt to "fix" it (by reheating the curry with a little fish sauce, which made the chicken practically tough) by the extremely friendly service didn't bring any noticeable improvement. The peanut sauce on the chicken skewers (appetizer) was also completely watered down, so much so that it practically lacked any flavor. The red curry (which has always been my favorite dish here) was also very bland, but still somewhat edible compared to the green curry. It's a shame – as a guest, I might have preferred a different response from the host (if I see that all three dishes weren't truly satisfactory for the guest, I, as a restaurateur, consider whether to at least deduct a drink from the bill or offer a complimentary tea or something similar) – but the restaurant is usually busy – one more or less guest isn't really relevant. Still, big praise goes to the very polite service, who tried their best with a friendly smile – but what was served on the plates today gets a grade of 4-5.

Drop the ATM on the table because you left a €2 tip?

We've been to Green Thai twice now and were very impressed both times. We always ordered the Pad Thai with tofu. It was very flavorful and not greasy—which was a pleasant surprise. The only thing we wish we had changed was more tofu. The amount of tofu was quite manageable both times. Otherwise, the service was very fast, friendly, and professional. We'll definitely be back! (and hope to find a little more tofu on our plates ;) )

If you search for Thai food , no need to search more , that is the one of the best on town. There is no neither food that would not taste good u can try all.

Aunque un sábado por la noche estaba un poco lleno de gente, el saludador pudo conseguirnos una mesa después de una espera muy, muy corta. Los tres pedimos curry, pero cada uno pidió uno diferente. Lo mismo podría decirse de las bebidas. Nuestro amigo pidió una bebida sin alcohol y un curry rojo con pollo. Mi esposa pidió una copa de vino blanco seco y un curry verde con pollo. Pedí un té helado tailandés y un curry amarillo con pollo empanado. El servicio fue excepcional, así como las tres comidas. Todos nos fuimos muy saciados y agradecidos de haber entrado. A friend brought me here today. People usually try to avoid the Zeil, so I've never been here. But this is a very good restaurant. It was extremely fresh and the flavors were well-balanced. A good and reliable Thai restaurant in the east of the city. My yellow curry was great and my wife was happy with the red. The portions are hearty and quite sufficient. There are some interesting drinks on the menu, although we did not try them this time. The overall impression is positive - the food is served quickly and hot, there is a good staff, and there is plenty of seating inside and outside. I would happily eat here again.

I love green Thai curry, and it tasted absolutely amazing here – creamy, well-seasoned, and served nice and warm. According to the concept, all products are organic and preservative-free, which you can definitely taste. The breaded chicken was also really tasty and juicy – ​​no comparison to standard takeaway food. I would definitely go back, even if it's not the most authentic Thai restaurant in Frankfurt – the quality and taste are still impressive. Ideal for a quick but mindful lunch on the Zeil! 🍛🥢

Green Thai was an amazing find for dinner! The food was incredibly tasty, fresh, and generously portioned, especially considering the reasonable prices. We couldn’t even finish everything we ordered. The atmosphere was vibrant, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. We tried the Vegan Pad Thai, which was delicious, though a bit different from the traditional version; so not exactly what I expected, but still very enjoyable. The fried rice was another standout- flavorful and well-cooked. The only downside was the service. It seemed like they were a bit short-staffed, so we had to wait quite a while to place our order. Hopefully that’s just a temporary issue, because everything else was top-notch

She was attentive, polite, courteous, and had a truly warm, pleasant charisma. You immediately felt welcome. I would come back just for her! Thank you for the great service – people like that make a restaurant visit something truly special!

Solid Thai restaurant at the eastern end of the Zeil. All dishes on offer can be combined with chicken/duck/tofu/shrimp as desired, so that vegetarians and meat eaters alike have an extensive choice. The taste of the dishes is okay, although there are better ones in the city. Service was friendly and quick and the prices are fair.

A bad parody of a Thai restaurant. Really disappointed with the food and the service. Due to my work, I travel a lot throughout Germany and also worldwide. And I really enjoy eating Thai food on a regular basis. This restaurant is not a Thai restaurant. The shop is firmly in Turkish hands. In the kitchen (it's a show kitchen) I couldn't count a single Thai person. That's a very bad sign. When I arrived (Monday, 7:00 p.m.) it was very crowded and the waiters did their job very poorly. There was running from the counter to the tables and back. Without any noticeable success. There were already 6-7 people standing in the entrance area waiting to be assigned a seat. Unsuccessful. The waiters specifically stop by and go back either to the counter or to the table. 15 minutes passed. Then a waiter had the leisure to completely clear two small tables. Hallelujah. We can sit down. I sit down and place the order. A coconut soup a la Tom Kha Gai is served. Nice. My first spoonful of the white substance tells me it's not coconut soup. It is absolutely too sweet and lacks the important ingredients. No lime taste, hardly any lemongrass noticeable, no chili anywhere. A pure disappointment. My second dish is papaya salad. I am amazed. He looks good. I taste it and notice that the spiciness that was missing in the soup has completely migrated into the papaya salad. OK. I keep trying and notice that something is wrong. Peanuts. Where are the peanuts? Oh, down here on the bottom of the plate. 3-4 full size pieces, not crushed. I've never seen anything like it. Thank you for removing the shell from the peanuts. It's quite nice. So overall a disappointment. Thank you for nothing. I won't come again and won't recommend it to anyone.

Then we gave up on it for a long time. Yesterday we were back after a long time and now I have had stomach pains and complaints since yesterday (my friends too). I think it's a shame, I really enjoyed coming, but unfortunately I won't be able to come again in the future. I hope you can fix the problem in the future.

Absolutely, very good service and extensive selection

The waitress took my order incorrectly, which isn't the problem in itself...I was served the dish with egg, even though I had specifically ordered it vegan. I then asked if I could please have the dish again without eggs, as it was spread all over the dish and I have been eating vegan for years. She insisted I hadn't said that and a new portion wasn't made for me. If I had wanted these, I would have had to pay for both. She said "I'm not discussing this" and was asked to pay the court. I then ate the tofu on the dish and took the rest for my friend since, according to her, I had to pay for the food I didn't order anyway. In hindsight, I should have left it and gone without paying for it. Unfortunately, I was not aware that I was not legally obliged to pay.

Habíamos caminado pasando por este restaurante a media mañana y solo había una persona allí - regresamos a media tarde y estaba muy ocupado. Nos las arreglamos para conseguir la última mesa disponible, pero nos sorprendió un poco el número de un - supervisado niños corriendo por el restaurante. Con el personal caminando llevando platos calientes de comida, me resulta molesto que los padres no ven el peligro y claramente no se preocupan por la comodidad de otros clientes! Nos decidimos por el plato mixto para un entrante (me alegro de que decidimos compartirlo, ya que era una porción generosa) seguido por el norte - pollo tailandés y el pollo jengibre. La camarera, que había sustentado claramente que éramos ingleses, me aconsejó que el pollo norte - tailandés era un pollo picado, servido caliente en una ensalada, ya que no está claro en el menú. Mis pensamientos eran que estoy feliz de probar algo diferente (normalmente voy por el curry tailandés verde / curry rojo. Me alegro de haberlo probado - el uso de menta fresca y un aderezo de lima / chile fue bien con el pollo. Mi esposa disfrutó del Pollo Jengibre pero pensó que le faltaba sabor. Probé una porción y estuve de acuerdo, para nuestras papilas gustativas nos hubiera gustado más sabor. Si no te gusta la comida picante/fuertemente aromatizada, este plato sería adecuado para ti. los precios eran baratos aprox 11 euros y 15 euros. No puedo recordar lo que pagamos por dos vasos de Riesling, pero era muy nive y complementó la comida.
