Great atmosphere and friendly service. While the dishes are well-chosen in their combinations, the taste is rather disappointing. Some of the food is drowned in watery sauce. The flavor components are not well balanced.

The lunch menu is of very good quality. The food is very tasty. However, the portion size is rather small for the price. I expect to be satisfied with a lunch at this price.

The restaurant has now reached a price level where the food must be significantly above average. Unfortunately, that doesn't work. The food was good, not outstanding, and the portions were tiny for the starter and small for the main course. What bothered me most was the tendency, unfortunately noticeable in many restaurants, to skimp on the side dishes. The meat portion for the main course was perfectly adequate, but two teaspoons of peas and one teaspoon of mashed potatoes aren't enough, at least for me, to leave the restaurant feeling reasonably full. And at €45 per person, I expect I won't have to eat anything else at home to feel full. So, dear Quartier team, please use large spoons for the mashed potatoes and vegetables next time, otherwise there won't be a return visit.

A visit to Qu4rtier was an experience; we were not disappointed in the culinary aspect! From the very beginning, the service was remarkably attentive and courteous. We received a warm welcome, and the staff's recommendations, both for drinks and dishes, were excellent and perfectly suited to our tastes. The food itself was, as expected, absolutely magnificent! Every dish was a revelation – perfectly prepared, perfectly balanced in flavor, and beautifully presented. A true feast for the senses, which we enjoyed to the fullest. Unfortunately, one small disappointment was that the initial attentiveness of the service waned somewhat over the course of the evening. After we finished our meal, the empty plates and glasses remained on our table for a while longer than we would have liked. This only minimally marred the otherwise perfect impression. Despite this minor flaw, it was a wonderful evening, and the outstanding food and the initial friendliness of the staff completely delighted us. We highly recommend the restaurant to any gourmet and would gladly return!

Excellent cuisine with delicious pastries for dessert. A slightly broader vegetarian selection might tempt us to return more often. One small downside: Towards the end of the meal, the service was already in after-work mode. A bit more attentiveness wouldn't have hurt either side. There were four of us there, and otherwise we had a great time.

We've rarely eaten so well! We highly recommend it. We've been there twice, a year apart, and the quality is still outstanding.

This was the best restaurant experience in a long time. Service great, food outstanding and even the espresso at the end was super positive surprise.

A restaurant with a great atmosphere. I was there at lunchtime, and they only had the daily special. Unfortunately, the salmon was already gone, as they hadn't anticipated it due to the large number of guests, and they wanted to offer fresh produce, and the next day was a holiday..😵‍💫 Okay, I don't have to understand that. I was then recommended the classic pork schnitzel; apparently, they had a higher stock. I then opted for the vegan salad, which was only offered in this form and without any alternatives or variations, such as schnitzel. Okay, I'd have to accept that too. The lentil millet balls with mint dip are really not needed. There are better and healthier alternatives. In short, I can't understand how anyone could give this place 5 stars. The lunch menu leaves a lot to be desired and doesn't fit in with today's conscious eating culture. P.S.: The tea was good

The value for money here is no longer there. Prices are far too high, and not just due to inflation. Unfortunately, you're now paying for the hype. It's a shame. The dessert, to be honest, is nothing special. I actually really like the restaurant, but I won't be going back anytime soon.

Great service, very good food. Portion sizes are more suited to moderate eaters. We were there with seven people. You could sample the wine before ordering a bottle. The interesting cocktails were also well received.

We (8 people) were in the QU4RTIER for the first time today. Our expectations were high, but unfortunately we were very disappointed. The food was good, but it lacked a certain kick and some of the dishes were lukewarm. But what was particularly negative was the service. There wasn't much going on for a Saturday evening, but we were there for 4 hours (for starters and main courses). During this time we were basically left to dry as we were only asked at the beginning and once shortly before the main course if we would like something to drink. The waitress really didn't make any effort at all and never once came to our table between courses to check or ask what was going on. As a result, they lost a lot of money today. We also lost our desire for dessert or coffee and left very disappointed.

A smiling welcome even though we didn't have a reservation. Quality cuisine, perfectly cooked meat and fish. The dishes are served generously. The room is bright and modern, plus a beautiful shaded terrace for the summer.

We were in the neighborhood this evening with our 4-year-old son. Both the ambience, the service and the food (steak for us and pasta for our son) were excellent. We'd love to come back!

Wanted to have a quick coffee, Black Hen's coffee is good. The waitress cleared the already set table somewhat sloppily. There is no milk coffee, no decaffeinated coffee (if Black Hen doesn't have one, you can also buy another one), there is no lactose-free milk or sweets either. These are basics when you offer coffee products.

In der Mittagszeit haben wir zu zweit das QU4RTIER besucht. Der Service war flott und aufmerksam und die Tageskarte bot für Jeden etwas an. Wir hatten beide eine sehr leckere Quiche, die vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis überzeugt hat. Wir hatten einen schönen, hellen Sitzplatz am Fenster. Wenn ich wieder in Saarbrücken bin, komme ich gerne erneut vorbei.

Nice atmosphere, but not handicapped accessible: some seating on the 2nd floor, women's toilet on the 2nd, men's toilet on the 1st floor without elevator. The upstairs room was initially very cool and drafty. After repeated requests, the intermediate door to the stairwell was closed, which made an improvement. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, but I didn't find the panacotta to be a good value for money! The staff was friendly, but obviously untrained and therefore partly inattentive and uncoordinated! Nevertheless, I will give outdoor dining another chance in the summer!

The neighborhood in Saarbrücken is a real gem! As soon as you enter, you can feel the beautiful ambience, which was designed with great attention to detail. The atmosphere is modern and cozy at the same time, so you immediately feel at home. A big compliment goes to the employees: They are extremely friendly, attentive and manage to spread a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Hospitality really comes to life here. The food is simply outstanding – perfectly balanced and thought out down to the smallest detail. Every bite is a pleasure and shows the high quality and creativity of the cuisine. I was particularly impressed by how harmoniously the dishes coordinated with each other. If you are looking for a place where ambience, service and cuisine harmonize at the highest level, the Saarbrücken district has come to the right place. Absolute recommendation!

An all-round successful evening in the neighborhood! The starter plate was outstanding, the rump steak was perfectly prepared and tasted delicious. The dessert was relatively expensive, but overall it was very good value for money. The ambience is stylish and inviting, and the staff were consistently friendly and attentive. The food is really very good. I would have given 5 stars for that. But two reasons speak against it. First: the service! No attention to the guests when they come in, no “hello” or “good day”, no “bye” or “goodbye” when they leave. No questions were asked while eating whether everything was OK and not even asked if you wanted something more to drink. Secondly: the price-performance ratio is no longer right (also because of the poor service). The prices of the dishes were increased several times in a very short space of time. But the biggest hammer is the price for the sometimes mediocre wine. On average 12 - 14 euros for a 0.2 l glass of wine!!! We eat out a lot, even in high-priced restaurants and starred restaurants, but we have never seen such a high price for wine anywhere! We would have also drunk a second and third wine, but not at this price and the waitress didn't ask again if we wanted to drink anything else, so that was the end of it anyway.

We celebrated our wedding in the quarter. The planning and organization in advance with Mr. Schmitt was excellent. All 50 guests at our party were more than thrilled. Die 4 Sterne gibt es für das wirklich perfekte Essen und den super freundlichen Service Aber: wir waren am Silvesterabend im Quartier, und leider war das Ambiente eine ziemliche Enttäuschung. Null Silvester Deko. Was spricht gegen etwas silbernes Tischkonfetti oder ein paar Ballons? Die Musik war einfach die üblicheDinnermusik, ruhig und gerade an einem so langen Abend total einschläfernd. Alle Paare oder Vierergruppe saßen komplett isoliert, zum Teil sogar mit Trennwand voneinander, so dass es einfach ein normaler Paar-Abend ohne Kontakt zu anderen war, was an Silvester etwas seltsam ist. Kurz vor 12:00 Uhr wurde dann draußen Champagner serviert und The Final Countdown gespielt, aber niemand zählte einen Countdown runter. Es gab keine Ansage, sich zu zu posten oder einfach eine Durchsage mit „Happy New Year“.Jeder auf seine eigene Uhr schauen, was natürlich dazu führte, dass jeder zu einem anderen Zeitpunkt sich umarmt und zugeprostet hat. Das Feuerwerk wurde in 3 Minuten abgespult. So gut das Restaurant sicherlich ist, aber bei so einem Event muss man schon ein bisschen mehr Liebe reinstecken.

Ein wieder super leckerer Abend mit tollen Kreationen für Gaumen und Auge bei sehr herzlichem, kompetentem und wie man hier sagt "kloorem" Service durch Julia, unterstützt von Timo. Danke für die geniale Zeit und bis ganz bald - weiter so, ihr seid klasse!

Was here for the first time. Top local and great restaurant. Well located. There are approx. 8 parking spaces in front of the entrance. It takes about 6 minutes to walk to Saarbrücken main station. Restaurant on two levels. There is a large bar on the first floor. Everything downstairs is barrier-free. Waiting time until the food comes about 15 minutes, that's ok. Toilet facility very clean.

Food and service were very good. The prices are relatively high, but reasonable in terms of quality and quantity. Unfortunately, the positive impression was diminished: we wanted three dishes without one of the listed side dishes. This then appeared on the invoice as a “service fee for changing inserts” and was charged at €2.50 each. So we paid a total of €7.50 for leaving something out. It would have been fair and transparent to at least inform us of these additional costs when ordering.

Nice ambience, almost perfect food… BUT! Unfortunately, the service this evening put a massive damper on our perfect evening. We sometimes sat there for 30 minutes without drinks, the service staff wasn't attentive and didn't give the impression that they were interested in changing that. It's a shame because the food and the ambience were very good.

We were there a few weeks ago and everything was actually good at first. Our starters were very tasty, especially the fennel orange salad. My Kumpir was also delicious, perhaps a bit expensive. But unfortunately the “salad dressing” didn’t taste like anything, and my mom had a salad as the main course. She ate it anyway because when she asked, she said there was no other dressing. I think there should always be different dressings to choose from or the kitchen staff should be able to prepare something alternative. Under no circumstances should a dressing overpower the components of the salad, but if the salad itself doesn't taste like anything... the three side salads that came with the steaks were returned. Too bad. As I said, we weren't offered an alternative dressing, we still had to pay for the salads and we weren't even offered a dessert on the house or anything else. It's also a shame that there are so few vegan dishes and no vegan menu. And it was said on the phone beforehand that you could swap the dishes from the menu for vegetarian/vegan ones, but what wasn't said is that the price would then be higher. Each dish must then be paid for individually. So the vegan “menu” can cost just as much as the one with dead animals. Therefore 3 instead of 4 stars.

- Sehr schönes Ambiente. - Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht passend. Das Rumpsteak war zäh, die Kartoffeln aufgewärmt. Die Ente und Pommes Dauphine waren in Ordnung. Der Wirsing war leider komplett versalzen und die Pilze ohne Geschmack. Es ist schade, denn die Speisekarte klang vielversprechend. Positiv ist zu bewerten, dass uns ein Aperitiv aufs Haus angeboten wurde. Wir haben abgelehnt, weil wie uns auf den Heimweg machen wollten. Der Espresso wurde uns erlassen.

Es ist immer wieder schön dort zu sein. Wollten eigentlich Muscheln essen, diese waren leider nicht vorrätig. Haben aber auf der tollen Karte was gefunden :-)

Es war unser erster aber garantiert nicht unser letzter Besuch in diesem besonderen Restaurant! Wir hatten das Glück, einen schönen, ruhigen Tisch im Obergeschoss zu haben wo uns der wirklich sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Service mit einem geschmacklichen Highlight nach dem anderen verwöhnte. Wir freuen uns schon aufs nächste Mal!

Hier wird gehobene Küche geboten. Über die Preise lässt sich streiten. Mir wars zu teuer. Anhand der gebotenen Speisen sind die hohen Preise krass. Aber wers mag und sich nicht an den Preisen stört, ist es vielleicht ok. Mir nicht. Der Service ist nett und aufmerksam, aber man merkt, dass unterschieden wird, "die wollen mehr und da sitzt der Geldbeutel locker", oder "bei denen ist nix zu verdienen". Der Erfolg gibt dem Betreiber des Konzepts recht, aber leider nicht mein niveau.

Ein sehr einladendes Restaurant, das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, die kleine Mittagskarte bot für jeden Geschmack ein leckeres Essen an Wir waren insgesamt 5 Personen, von 12:00 Uhr bis ca. 17:30 Uhr da und keiner hatte das Gefühl, dass wir nach dem langen Aufenthalt das Lokal verlassen sollten.

The building may seem older from the outside, but inside you can expect a modern and urban design that immediately impresses. This is a huge plus as guests can enjoy the celebration to the fullest without breaking a sweat. The flexibility of the room design is another advantage. The furniture and buffets can be moved as desired, allowing for individual adaptation to the needs of the event. This creates a dynamic and adaptable atmosphere. The view through the large windows is breathtaking and adds to the special atmosphere. The friendly and courteous staff complete the overall picture and ensure that all guests feel comfortable. Overall, an excellent choice for any wedding – modern, flexible and with excellent service.

We were guests at a wedding. Great ambience and excellent service until the early hours of the morning. The food was wonderful. High quality products were beautifully presented and prepared. The drinks were served well and the bartenders made sure that no throat remained dry. A perfect place for a celebration.

We celebrated our free wedding in the quarter. The wedding ceremony was on the terrace. The location responded to any requests and changes. The time of the wedding could even be adjusted later. The sun protection in particular was really great in the heat! Everything was very nicely designed. Food and drinks, the ambience deserve a 10 out of 10. The Qu4rtier is a beautiful, modern location. Food on the 1st floor, the party on the ground floor. We were very satisfied overall and received positive feedback from our guests. Celebrating the wedding in the entire house, on 2 floors, was truly unique! The staff was very friendly, motivated and committed. Thank you for appreciating our special day. Thanks to you, our free wedding ceremony and celebration will never be forgotten. It was just perfect for us! See you again on our first wedding anniversary.

The food was very good, but the price/performance ratio wasn't right. Dishes rather small and e.g. E.g. with fish and pasta with very little fish and little pasta. €28 is rather steep for that. If you have a lot of money left over and get full quickly, this is the right place for you. I'm generally not concerned with the quantity, but here it was noticeably small.

We celebrated our birthday there, my family and I really liked it, the only downside was that the staff barely spoke English, a very nice place. The food is tasty, interesting, the prices are above average, for a family of two adults and a small child, dinner cost 130 euros

I had lunch with my wife in the quarter today. We had a pretty nice table in a niche. I chose the business menu. For the main course you could choose from three different dishes. The roast beef with dumplings and red cabbage tasted very good and was well crafted. The starter, a pumpkin ginger soup, was also very tasty. For dessert there was a crème brûlée. Unfortunately, I only had to deduct two stars from the ambience because of the noise and difficult parking conditions.

Quarter of one of the best restaurants in Saarland. Yesterday we were pampered by so many nice employees. All the dishes were outstanding. I've eaten many steaks but none were as perfect as this! My recommendation on the menu is the steak (300 grams) We'll definitely be back. Thank you

The first impression is good. It looks modern, the staff is friendly and quick (we were there on a Tuesday, it wasn't busy). However, we felt taken by surprise at first because water was offered straight after we sat for what felt like a second. I'm sure it will be well received by others. About the menu: There is a variety, but nothing simple. Nicely prepared. Expensive prices. Inflexible when asked about the dishes on offer. Not for picky eaters. Not a single 'simple' dish for adults. Too bad. Price is really expensive for the food offered. You're clearly paying for the ambience and the beautifully presented food here. At the beginning there was a house starter. With baguette, oil and salt and unfortunately with olive cream - none of us liked olives. The taste was delicious, but no better than in other restaurants - given the price you have higher expectations. (e.g. starter with 2 slices of baguette and dab of cream and herbs for €14 ~ was my main course because there was nothing on the menu that I was allowed to order) The staff asked if she should bring bread - it never arrived - despite there being few visitors. Otherwise, the order came reasonably quickly, everyone was friendly and quick and asked if everything was OK or if we would like any desserts or a drink. We won't be going there anymore, but we're obviously not the right kind of clientele either. More for special occasions that are intended to make an impression.
