...what a great restaurant :-) We ourselves come from the far north (Schleswig-Holstein) and were very surprised that the restaurant “Aunt Jenny” also existed here in Saarbrücken. So far we only knew the one in Husum on the North Sea. Since we have been served delicious food there several times and we were lucky that it is very close to the hotel/HBF in Saarbrücken, we now wanted to get to know the sister restaurant. And what should we say? We weren't disappointed! A great team, a very friendly boss, a great atmosphere and, above all, delicious food. From the fish to the (fried) potatoes to the dessert, everything was convincing. The food came to all 9 people at the same time and the service was very attentive. Absolutely 5 stars :-) For us it is clear, whether here or in Husum, we will come back! THANKS!

Recommendation in any case. Our hosts were great, very friendly and there was always a nice smile. The food was remarkable. I had fish soup then stuffed sole with salmon. Brilliant!! My partner had tomato soup then gutted fried mussels in a great sauce. I bought one for the chef out of sheer enjoyment of the meal. He then came to us and thanked us. The prices were very reasonable and not too expensive. Many thanks to Aunt Jenny and the staff for the great food. Ps. Not only did it taste great, you could also clearly feel the love for cooking. We chose fish with potatoes. To our great astonishment we were served breaded fish that was probably frozen and not very well cooked. The potatoes were pretty good. The draft beer is good. I remain mixed about this restaurant.

Very good food and a really cozy atmosphere with a Nordic flair - the service was very friendly and attentive. We all had fish and it was very tasty. Very friendly and authentic restaurant with North German and Frisian food. That means there is mainly fish here!!! I met the owner and he is proud of his shop and its origins. You notice that very strongly. That's what defines the shop and the food. The ambience is very North German, which is what adds to its charm. So to everyone: "Hello and enjoy your meal"!!!

Food is fine. But one waitress was very rude. I even felt racism from her side. People traveling to saarbrucken doesn’t have to speak in Germany. They should fix in their mind this fact. No needed to be rude and showing your character to the guest. If you hate your job you better leave it instead of destroying the mood of the guests…

The service is super nice, the food is fresh and the decor is very lovingly designed. Also a dog-friendly restaurant! Also okay as a vegetarian. It's not a big list, but it's definitely something different than just cheese spaetzle and fries! You really can't complain about that (:

Wir waren eine Gruppe von 14 Personen. Von der Reservierung über Service, Freundlichkeit und der Qualität des Essens war alles bestens. Trotz verschiedener Essen wurde allen nahezu zeitgleich serviert. Die Getränkeauswahl ist vielseitig und gut. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Lecker Fischgerichte, für mich einen Hauch zu viel Olivenöl an den Speisen. Aber die Bratkartoffeln waren echt Bombe!

Wir waren zu zweit an einem Feiertag im Juni zum Abendessen im Tante Jenny gewesen. Wir hatten keine Reservierung aber Glück und haben einen guten Tisch bekommen. Das Personal ist super nett, sehr aufmerksam und auf zack. Wir bestellten eine Fischsuppe zur Vorspeise. Diese war schon mal sehr gut gewesen. Zum Hauptgang hatten wir zum einen: Bandnudeln in Sahnesauce mit Räucherlachs und Knoblauch und zum anderen den Fischteller Tante Jenny (drei Sorten gebratenen Fisch mit Bratkartoffeln und Knoblauchdip) Beide Gerichte waren ausgesprochen lecker und wir wurden satt. Das Restaurant ist nett eingerichtet, man sitzt schön, die Preise sind moderat aber das Essen ist es Wert. Mit den Getränken, einer Vorspeise und 2x Hauptgericht haben wir knapp 60€ bezahlt. Fazit: von uns eine 100% Weiterempfehlung

Schöne Location, durchgehende Küche, sympathisches Personal, Preislich korrekt.

Waren zum Mittagessen hier. Das Lokal war eher etwas wenig besucht. Wir wählten das Tagesangebot 1x Butterfisch mit Senfsauce und 1x Scholle mit Kartoffelsalat. Beide Gerichte haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Der von uns bestellte Rotwein „Doppio Passo“ war eher nicht so unser Gusto. Der Service war flott und wegen der wenigen Gäste auch wohl nicht ganz ausgelastet. Der Espresso war perfekt. Wir kommen bei Gelegenheit gerne wieder vorbei.

Gutes und schönes Restaurant. Auch mal was anderes. Ich habe keinen Fisch gegessen, fand aber die Garnelen toll. Putenmedaillons waren lecker. Der Dip war gut aber nicht überragend. Die Rahmsoße fand ich ebenfalls sehr lecker. Die Tagliatelle oder Bratkartoffeln meines Kumpels waren ebenfalls lecker. Alles in allem ein gelungenes Restaurant. Preislich eher weiter oben anzusiedeln also ziemlich fein.

Un buon ristorante a conduzione familiare! Le pietanze sono prevalentemente a base di pesce secondo lo stile della Germania del Nord, le portate abbondanti. Parlo da ex lavoratore e non da cliente, pur avendo assaggiato ed apprezzato diversi loro piatti, e ci tengo a fare questa recensione in quanto circolano voci false sulla loro onestà come datori di lavoro. In particolar modo la personale convinzione della veridicità di queste voci, assieme ad una serie di comportamenti che ho ritenuto molto sospetti (e la cui discutibilità ribadisco tuttora), mi hanno portato a rompere il rapporto di lavoro con queste persone in breve tempo; inoltre, a mia parziale discolpa, ho preteso solo garanzie che ritengo sia ragionevole pretendere. Dal momento che sono poi stato smentito dai fatti, ci tengo a dire che il capo del ristorante è una persona sincera e chiede solo di contare su un rapporto di fiducia reciproca con il proprio lavoratore. Essendo poi le false voci tutte derivanti da persone connazionali, è giusto che la smentita di queste voci sia fatta in lingua italiana! Consiglio caldamente questo posto a chi cerca un lavoro poichè mi sono trovato bene, in particolar modo l'ambiente è accogliente e sono molto pazienti con i nuovi arrivati privi di esperienza.

Wir kennen Tante Jenny seit Jahren in Husum. Heute zum 6. Mal in Saarbrücken. Der Chef hat uns extra für 4 Personen unseren Lieblingsfisch Limandes ( echte Rotzunge ) frisch von der Küste mitgebracht. Ende vom Lied : für Muttertag Tisch ( hoffentlich mit Limandes ) bestellt. Danke .

Endlich in der alten Bastei wieder ein gut gehendes, mit maritimen Details wunderschön eingerichtetes Restaurant. Äußerst freundlicher, aufmerksamer Service. Nicht nur die Fischgerichte, auch die Fleischgerichte sehr schön präsentiert und richtig gut schmeckend. Deshalb Tendenz, zu einem unserer Lieblingsrestaurants zu werden.

We were wandering around the riverfront in saarbrucke and came upon this restaurant. I had a huhnerschnitzel (chicken schnitzel) with a mushroom sauce and a small beer, fries on the side. All was good. My wife had a salad and fish soup. She said the soup was too salty and they took it off the bill. Server was helpful. I would go back. Bon appetit!

Haben beide Seezunge gegessen. War untadelig: mit flüssiger Butter, langsam gebraten u prima filetiert .; Beilagenkartoffeln waren auch sehr lecker. Der Service ist sehr freundlich u aufmerksam. Eine absolute Empfehlung.

wir waren heute Abend 31.05.2022 in dieses Resraurant essen, warum sollte ich auch sonst eine Bewertung schreiben. Sehr nett und freundlich aufgenommen, den bestellten Tisch am Fenster bekommen, ausser der Karte noch eine Tafel mit den Empfehlungen des Tages gezeigt bekommen. danach eine Beratung über die Zusammenstellung des Menues gehabt, alles in einem Ambiente, welches stark an die Nord oder Ostsee erinnert. Dann kam Sergio, der Chef?oder zumindest der Premierminister des Lokals zu einem Plausch zu uns, den wir gerne aufnahmen und uns auch über Sankt Peter Ording und Husum unterhielten, da er anscheinend von dort zu uns nach Saarbrücken gekommen ist. vor der Bestellung wurden uns noch die in der küche vorhandenen Fische auf einem Tablett kredentzt, so dass wir uns einen Eindruck von der Qualität machen konnten. jetzt aber zum Essen. für mich kam natürlich nur der Fisch infrage, gewählt wurde der Knurrhahn, exzellent zubereitet( von mir mit Bratkartoffeln gewünscht und auch so be kommen). meine Partnerin nahm das Rumpsteak medium, was ebenso hervorragend zubereitet war. nochmals zurückkommend ein sehr gelungener Abend mit fantastischem Essen in angenehmer Umgebung. so soll es sein und wir werden wieder kommen. grazie mille

Wir waren mit einem befreundeten Paar zum ersten Mal bei Tante Jenny zum Essen. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und zum Tisch begleitet. Kurz darauf kam auch schon der Chef zum Tisch und präsentierte uns eine Platte mit frischem Fisch, der unter anderem zur Auswahl stünde. Bestellt haben wir dann gemischte Fischplatten, die von hervorragender Qualität waren. 10 Minuten nach dem Servieren der Speisen kam der Chef erneut an den Tisch, um uns noch ein kleines Stück Fisch zusätzlich anzubieten. Wir haben das alle sehr gerne angenommen! Auch die Nachspeisen die wir hatten waren schmackhaft und empfehlenswert! Das Fazit ist also, daß wir einen schönen Abend mit gutem Essen gastfreundlichen Besitzern und zuvorkommendem Personal hatten. LG Stefan I.

Wir haben die Seezunge und Babysteinbutt gegessen, das war hervorragend. Die Atmosphäre und die Bedienung war super . Kann ich auf jeden Fall nur weiter empfehlen .

Der Service war nett und aufmerksam. Vom Essen waren wir allerdings enttäuscht. Der gemischte Fischteller bestand aus Krabben und drei Sorten Weißfisch. In Butter gebraten und das leider komplett durch und trocken. Geschmacklich war kein Unterschied bei den drei Sorten zu schmecken. Schade, wir hätten da in einem Fischrestaurant etwas mehr Abwechslung bei einem gemischten Teller erwartet! Die Bratkartoffeln waren sehr fettig, in den Schüssel schwamm am Boden das Öl. Zum Nachtisch hatten wir warmen Apfelstrudel. Dieser war offensichtlich vorgebacken und dann aufgewärmt. Er war zäh und gummiartig! Das Vanilleeis war von eher günstigen Qualität. Wir hatten von einem Fischrestaurant einfach mehr erwartet. Wir werden nicht mehr wiederkommen.

We came upon this fish restaurant in Saarbrücken quite by chance, and thoroughly enjoyed Seehecht and some cauliflower rissoles with cheese. Everything was fresh and natural-tasting, the ambience grown-up, sedate, and welcoming, and the serice discreet and attentive. It's the sort of place you think has vanished from the world, and to top it all, prices are perfectly reasonable. I can't think of any defect, unless it was the owner (I think) threatening to get his eel to bite us if we didn't give him an honest opinion of what we'd had, but it was easy to say it was wonderful, as it had been, so we left without injury and will be delighted to go back whenever were in Saarbrücken again.
