A first for us at the Mercure hotel restaurant. They offer a small menu with a choice of two daily specials (different for each day of the week) and two alternative dishes, but only one starter and one dessert (today it was chocolate mousse 😋). We enjoyed the setting and the service.

Wonderful atmosphere, with a great view of the city, very friendly staff, and the food was very good. *****Plates are hot when served, so the food stays warm a little longer. This is rare and therefore definitely a plus***** The chef personally came to the table and asked how it was, a rare experience.

The restaurant is not open, unfortunately the opening hours are apparently not up to date. I'm here for work, but unfortunately the restaurant is always closed for some reason. Too bad, a restaurant in a hotel can be practical.

Ich war so etwas von überrascht - das Ambiente sehr schön und modern - die Bilder passen nicht mehr. Wichtiger noch ist der freundliche Empfang und der super tolle Service. Und das wichtigste- ein hervorragendes Essen. Als Vielreisende kann ich ein Lied von verschiedenen Qualitäten im Bereich Essen erzählen. Das Essen ist frisch und alles selbstgemacht. Ce restaurant est normalement fermé le samedi mais, comme il était ouvert spécialement pour deux grands groupes, quelques clients individuels ont été acceptés dans les créneaux horaires que permettrait le service aux groupes ayant réservé l’établissement. Le service fut excellent, pas du tout affecté par une priorité éventuellement donnée aux groupes, et le personnel très sympathique. Nous avons mangé des asperges (locales) cuites à perfection et bien accompagnées pour en apprécier au mieux la saveur.

Rares sont les restaurants d'hôtel de telle qualité. Très bon accueil, échanges avec les clients, bons conseils, surtout concernant les vins. On s'y sens bien en admirant une vidéo de feu de bois.

Staying at the Mercure for a few weeks on business. Saarbrucken has a number of good restaurants and this one is right up there. They offer a small menu. I am happy to see that as straight away it suggests a few dishes are prepared very well and they are. I would recommend this restaurant for the food, service and good wine choice. Fairly priced as well as you would normally pay a premium in hotels.
