Simply the most professional waitress during our visit today to this wonderful, historic restaurant. Please treat such employees fairly and pay them well, otherwise they'll be poached in no time.

Highly recommended! Very friendly, attentive service. A small, fine menu. But everything is extremely delicious. The prices are high, but they're justified. The food is very high quality and lovingly prepared. This certainly won't be our last visit.

I've been here several times. The food is fantastic (small but excellent menu), and the service is very friendly and attentive. A bit pricey, but the atmosphere is very pleasant. There's plenty of parking. Only card payments are accepted, which I welcome. I'd be happy to return.

The location is beautiful, the food very good. The appetizer selection was our favorite. Unfortunately, the service was rather patchy. After we were asked to choose a table, we initially felt ignored. It took almost 15 minutes for the menus to be brought to us after we actively requested them. The service was friendly and attentive throughout, but the overall impression and tone weren't quite up to the standard we had expected/hoped for.

Unfortunately disappointing. When we arrived, two different servers asked us for our reservation before we could be seated at a table. Despite alternatives being available throughout our stay, we had to sit at a small table. The service was friendly but not well organized. We had to wait a long time for our drinks. Two starters were unavailable, which further limited the already small selection. The pan-fried scampi was cold to begin with, but unfortunately tasted bland after being reheated. The other food was also not convincing in terms of taste and was only lukewarm. The dishes are obviously left sitting around for too long. The food was significantly overpriced for the quality delivered.

Nice restaurant, but since July 1st, they've only accepted card payments. So, that was my last visit there. It's cheeky to tell someone how to pay. Definitely a big minus for the restaurant.

The Pulvermühle has always been excellent after multiple visits! But when we celebrated our wedding there in June 2025, everything was surpassed! From the planning with the team there to the actual celebration, it was so much fun...the team is simply unbeatable. And of course, the excellent cuisine and the fantastic ambiance...simply wow. We (and many of our wedding guests) will continue to go there and we can only recommend it to everyone! You are fantastic, Pulvermühle!

We've been here four times and have been very satisfied every time. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive (with our dog and child), and the food is delicious. Whether it's asparagus season, pumpkin season, or just anytime in between, it's always been delicious.

My fiancé and I ate here once and were absolutely thrilled. The food was delicious and the staff are all friendly without exception. Of course the price is a bit higher but due to the quality of the food it is absolutely justified 😍

Went for dinner and had the rump steak. Good part - they knew and prepared the steak medium rare, but the steak was a tad tough and lacked seasoning. Had the rosemary potatoes which were tasty but also lacked salt. The additional 3 shrimp that i added to the meal were pretty tasty. The time between the appetizer and main also was a bit longer than expected. Had the homemade vanilla ice cream which was good but a bit bland. I would visit again however. Waitress was very friendly

After driving past the great restaurant several times, I finally took the plunge last week. It was already very attractive from the outside and this charm continues inside. Unfortunately, the waiter came across as a bit stroppy and unfriendly at the beginning, but this improved over the course of the evening. The beef fillet is super tender, as is the schnitzel. Unfortunately the breading wasn't as crispy as I had hoped. The dessert variation with an espresso was a successful conclusion. A very great restaurant that met my expectations but did not exceed them. And a few more parking spaces would have been great.

Super delicious food (many thanks to the kitchen). The menu takes some getting used to. The atmosphere is nice, the service is fine. However, we found the seat height of the chairs to be low compared to the table height and in some cases the chairs were very close to each other.

It was the last visit for us. We have been visiting this restaurant for many years with a pleasant atmosphere, even if the noise level and the drafty ventilation system (especially at the windows) were sometimes a bit annoying. The service was great, relaxed and very attentive. This made up for everything, as the food was also great in terms of quality and taste. About a year ago, the really good people from the service gradually disappeared. From then on things went downhill for us. Everything was super hectic. Some are noticeably unprofessional and cannot handle simple objections. Now the chefs have probably changed as well, as the high-priced dishes have also lost quality in our opinion. The price-performance ratio is simply no longer right for us and it is no longer a feel-good place for us, especially since the timing between the aperitif and the food delivery was not right at all. They didn't want to hear friendly criticism. As I said, it was the last time for us. Too bad.

I visited the powder mill as part of a wedding celebration. Great rooms for celebrating, we didn't notice anything of the normal restaurant business. The staff was very nice and accommodating, the food was absolutely excellent (especially the steak tartare on the appetizer platter was a poem!) I can only recommend the restaurant and will definitely come by to eat again 😊

Wenn auch höherpreisig, so ist es absolut vertretbar. Netter Service, angemessenes Essen (auch wenn ich 4,50€ für ein paar Zwiebeln ordentlich finde…) und eine gute Atmosphäre, auch montags war es voll :-)

Super nice service, great food and a great atmosphere! It wasn't a problem that we had to cancel two people from the goose dinner at short notice due to illness. The goose was halved and we paid for two. The service is worth highlighting. Extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. We felt we were served excellently. I can only say positive things about the quality. The food is freshly prepared, the goose is kept warm over a flame at the table and the side dishes are also great. The atmosphere is cozy and the entire restaurant is extremely stylishly decorated. However, the price is higher here.

On November 30th, 2024 we celebrated our birthday and graduation. I specifically asked for the waiter's name so that I could write this review. Timo Schulz is really an extremely competent and committed waiter. There were nine of us in total and everyone was thrilled with him. He worked very professionally, was attentive and always had everything in view. I can speak for all of us when I say that we felt completely comfortable and were able to enjoy the excellent food to the fullest. Everything was perfect. At this point there was also a large, somewhat noisy table near us. However, thanks to the harmonious overall package, this hardly bothered us. We will definitely come back and say: Thank you very much, Mr. Schulz!

Nach vielen sehr guten Erfahrungen im gesamten Bereich, war der Besuch enttäuschend. Ds Essen war wieder sehr gut, aber der Sitzplatz schlecht. Wir hatten um Sitzplätze im oberen Bereich voran gemeldet, klappte nicht. Saßen direkt an der Garderobe und das Personal musste erstmal Garderobe abnehmen damit es nicht über dem Tisch hing. Neben uns war eine große Gruppe die ständig aufstand um zu fotografieren und Spiele zu spielen und somit ständig neben meiner Frau sich hinhocken auf der durchgehenden Sitzbank und ein ruhiges Essen nicht möglich war. Man hätte diese beiden Plätze nicht vergeben dürfen. Auf das sehr gute Dessert haben wir verzichtet und haben das Lokal zum ersten Mal sehr schnell verlassen. Schade, da wir dieses Jahr schon mehrfach dawaren und letztes Jahr Weihnachten in sehr guter Erinnerung hatten.

Tolle Location, sehr guter Service, leckeres Essen zu Weihnachten. Obwohl wir die Pulvermühle erst jetzt entdeckt haben sind wir sicher, dass wir nicht das letzte Mal hier waren. Danke für das schöne Weihnachtsessen !

Wir hatten ein sehr entspanntes Familien-Abendessen und die tolle Atmosphäre und das gute Essen sehr genossen.

Wir haben mit vier Personen unseren Aufenthalt genossen. Lediglich der Geräuschpegel hat uns etwas gestört. Trotz vieler Gäste klappte der Service ausgezeichnet und wir wurden sehr aufmerksam bedient.

Unser Babysitter hatte sich verspätet und trotz vollem Haus wurde unser Tisch frei gehalten! Das war echt super! Unsere Bedienung war super freundlich und unaufdringlich aufmerksam! Essen war super lecker (Ochsenbäckchen - echt zu empfehlen!) und auch das Dessert war toll! Hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

We got married in June 2024 at the Pulvermühle. The team around Ulf, Michelle and Tamara did a fantastic job. All agreements were met or even exceeded. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent and the location was really great. Ulf told us at the first meeting that, in the best case scenario, we would feel like guests at our own wedding - and that was exactly the case. The team consists of complete professionals! We were guests in the restaurant a few times beforehand - a big recommendation here too. THANK YOU for making our big day so perfect!

A nice location. Actually the classic location where ERGO likes to have its Christmas party and Sabine & Thomas get married. Consistently good & friendly service. The food was also delicious. I'm just questioning the pricing. I understand mixed calculations, but…. A 200g fillet for €32.50 - in my opinion a good/fair price. A pizza funghi e prosciutto for €18.50 - sporty!

We had the opportunity to celebrate our wedding at the Pulvermühle and are infinitely grateful that “our date” was still available at short notice! During a planning meeting, Ulf really encouraged us that this day was about us. As a couple. This has been reflected in every loving detail on site - allergy-adapted food and surprises included. The entire contact with the banquet team was excellent and we always felt very, very welcome with our concerns. Just like on the wedding day itself. We had great and humorous service... and were so thrilled that we came back later in the evening to toast the successful day. That says it all! We can HIGHLY recommend the Pulvermühle as a restaurant and especially as a location for weddings and other celebrations. And we'd love to come back at the next opportunity.

Wirklich tolles Essen in lauter Geräuschkulisse! Leider ist nach wie vor der Service nicht wirklich gut. Nicht so, wie man es für das Geld erwarten könnte. Zwar bemüht freundlich, aber in keiner Weise aufmerksam. Nachdem der Hauptgang serviert wurde, lässt sich selten jemand blicken und man hat Mühe, ein weiteres Getränk zu bestellen. Leider konnte dieser Mangel im Service seit nunmehr Jahren, nicht abgestellt werden. Schade.

Die Küche ist generell von sehr guter Qualität. Wir waren schon mehrfach da und haben verschiedene Gerichte zu uns genommen. Die Kernkarte ist überschaubar . Es ist aber für jeden etwas dabei. Aufgrund der räumlichen Gegebenheiten ist es im Hauptbereich recht laut, wenn das Restaurant voll besetzt ist. Es gibt Hochtische und normale Sitzgelegenheiten. Bei der Bestellung kann man seine Vorliebe angeben.

Sehr schöne Location, sowie Service. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, auch wenn es etwas teurer ist. Das Dessert war allerdings für den Preis zu einfach und erinnerte eher an einem misslungenen Versuch, von der Präsentation, Geschmack und Kreativität der Zutaten. Die Cocktails und Longdrinks sind eine Wucht.. Perfekt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

After we had eaten at the Pulvermühle several times and enjoyed it every time, we now celebrated our wedding in the restaurant area of ​​the Pulvermühle. It was an all-round successful celebration with great decorations, delicious food and great service. The industrial style simply offers a great atmosphere for celebrating. From the first contact we received very good advice and the friendly team made all of our wishes possible. The appetizer platter in particular is always a highlight and was enjoyed by all guests. The dance floor is in the middle of the room and framed by counters, so that even those who don't like dancing could take part in the action. A few tables had to be cleared away for dancing, but the team ensured everything ran smoothly here too. To protect against noise, the windows had to remain closed late at night, which meant that it got a little warm despite the ventilation system. The dance floor was still packed at all times and the beautiful bar was also a big attraction. Die Location ist sehr schön. Eine alte Fabrik mit hohen Decken, dadurch leider auch einen höheren Lärmpgel. Die Speisekarte ist klein, aber das jeweilige Essen sehr gut. Ich hatte Pannfisch. Die drei Fischfilets waren frisch, zerfielen schon beim aufnehmen mit der Gabel. Die Senfsosse war sehr gut gemacht, nicht zu dick, genau die richtige Konsistenz und genau richtig abgeschmeckt mit dem Dijon-Senf. Sehr zu empfehlen! Mein 4 Mistreiter hatten jeweils eine Pizza und waren auch sehr zufrieden. Der Kellner hat uns freundlich und nett bedient und ist auch auf Sonderwünsche eingegangen. Insgesamt kann ich dieses Restaurant sehr empfehlen.

We were booked with our Delorean as a time machine at the Pulvermühle Hamburg as an eye-catcher at a company event/in-house exhibition and thrilled the guests at the start and at the entrance. At Deloreantour you can rent a real Delorean and other vehicles, film cars and walking acts are also possible. The preparation and execution was excellent. See you in the future.

Fine dining in a cozy, modern atmosphere. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the starter (pulpo with shrimp), the main course (panfish, pizza and ox cheeks) and the dessert very much. For us, higher prices matched the performance. We'd love to come back.

We celebrated our wedding in the Pulvermühle with around 80 people - and chose exactly the right location! Everything was absolutely great! The arrangements and planning went smoothly, uncomplicated and totally friendly. The food was simply great (just like in the restaurant 🤗), the selection of drinks was great and the decoration, which we also ordered from the Pulvermühle, was beautiful. The approximately 20 children were also taken into consideration right from the start with their own children's menu. Our guests and we were completely satisfied and felt very comfortable. Thank you for a very successful wedding celebration! 🩷

Leider war es diesmal nicht sehr erfreulich: Mehr als eine Stunde Wartezeit auf das Essen. Die Pizza okay, aber die teuren Salate viel zu klein in der Portion (Cesar Salad) und außer grünen Blättern fast keine wertgebenden Zutaten im Pulvermühlen Salat.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Das große Raum ist nicht gegen Schall gedämmt, es ist so laut dort, dass man Schwierigkeiten hat, sein gegenüber zu verstehen. Sonst ist es sehr schön dort.
