HERITAGE Hamburg in Hamburg

Great view, lovely restaurant, but the food is very overpriced. I ordered medium-well fillet and got it rare, so even the 800-degree grill didn't help. The meat quality was very good, but the doneness was a 6. With a mediocre side dish, it was €60.00. The dessert for €18.00 was outrageous, which makes me not want to visit this restaurant again. Service was good at first, but declined significantly as the number of guests increased. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio here isn't right.

The reception and the view were fantastic! Unfortunately, the waiter forgot the water we ordered. When we ordered, a colleague asked for pepper sauce. "No, we don't have any." We also didn't get a satisfactory answer to our question about celery-cured duck breast. I ordered jus. After we had ordered, the starter unfortunately took about 45 minutes to arrive. But it tasted fantastic. The main course took just as long to arrive. When we finally got the main courses, all of the steaks were well overcooked, and my jus was unfortunately more of a pepper sauce. They politely apologized for the undercooked dish, and offered us dessert on the house. However, since we expected dessert to take another hour, we opted for a digestif instead. The atmosphere is great, and all in all, it was a very nice evening, although the high price doesn't justify it.

The location is great, there is a great view of the Alster from almost every place, certainly one of the most beautiful in Hamburg. The starters were all good, the dessert was even better. The meat for the main course wasn't cooked to the right point and had to go back to the kitchen and that was the case with almost all steaks. The dish of the day was a soup that was already served in a large pot for the business lunch...The staff is moderately motivated. Our request to move to the restaurant's bar after our meal was answered with the statement "then we have to clean two seats." Overall, you could do a lot more with this. The prices don't justify the food and service.

We wanted to spontaneously go out for dinner yesterday evening. We called the bar beforehand because the restaurant doesn't open until 6 p.m. and we were told that it was Wednesday and there was the possibility of coming over spontaneously. We were there at 6 p.m. sharp, no one was there eat. They are accompanied upstairs to us in the bar area, as we planned to eat first and then have something to drink until late. You can't deal with guests like that. Zero goodwill. Very inconvenient and there are better and friendlier restaurants and bars in Hamburg. By the way, the one star is only for the view. Rst deserves minus zero.

We were able to celebrate a lovely birthday with a view over the Alster. Eating and drinking is a pleasure. Very nice, attentive, but not intrusive service. Thank you very much for this, it will remain unforgettable for us!! We enjoyed every second!!!

Great hotel, very friendly and clean

So far always satisfied with the service, the food and the atmosphere. Since I'm still quite young, Heritage has a good balance between formal and casual for me. Yesterday, on Valentine's Day, I found the laissez-faire attitude of the employee with the pigtail too pronounced and therefore inappropriate. There were no explanations about the dishes and he served them on a more “bro-style” basis. In the meantime I felt more like I was in a restaurant in the Schanze. Other servers at Heritage take things a little more seriously and, as expected, appear more professional.

Definitely recommended. Great food, attentive service, magnificent view. And there are always taxis at the door.

Sehr stilvolles, ruhiges Ambiete mit Personal absolut vom Fach, zuvorkommend, freundlich und sehr aufmerksam! Wirkliche Empfehlung und der Blick über die Außenalster… wunderschön! Machen wir definitiv nochmal!

Unser erster Besuch im "Heritage" hat uns viel Spass gemacht: nicht nur ist der Blick über Hamburgs Außenalster ein Genuß, auch das Essen hat viel Freude gemacht: die Steaks waren auf den Punkt zubereitet: innen rosa und aussen leicht knusprig, so wie es bestellt war und sein soll. Auch die Beilagen waren abwechslungsreich und aromatisch, einzig der Blumenkohl war etwas bröselig und trocken, der kann sich noch verbessern (Feedback dazu hat die Bedienung professionell aufgenommen). Die Gerichte werden auf schönen, modernen Tellern angerichtet und sehen so auch noch sehr schön aus. Beim Service ist es etwas schwankend: den ganzen Abend über wechselt die Bedienung am Tisch durch und ist sehr unterschiedlich qualifiziert. Da vermisse ich noch etwas Qualität und ein Zuständigkeitsgefühl. Alles in allem aber ein gelungener Abend und wir kommen sicher gern wieder.

The 5 course menu was excellent. Unfortunately, in the end there were only 3 chocolates in the box for two people.

Lovely premises with a nice view and really delicious food. Approx. half of the staff were capable, but the experience was dragged down by the fact that the food was not presented at all. We only got to mention the main ingredient, e.g. "salmon", quickly and without explanation. The first time we waited to eat because we thought there was going to be a presentation. As we hadn't gone through the menu carefully, we didn't actually know what we were getting – e.g. which piece of meat we got for the main course (beef tenderloin, maybe?). It all tasted lovely though. The wine was presented nicely and matched the food well. All in all, delicious food and premises, but lack of presentation disappointed – especially at that price

Wow, absolutely recommended! The best champagne I've ever drunk! (Ferrari Rosé) We had a wonderful pumpkin cream soup, followed by perfect truffle linguine and a very special dessert! Beautiful view of the Alster and the Hamburg skyline. Very professional and attentive staff, the service was perfect!

Every year New Year's Eve at HERITAGE is a special kind of celebration: delicious food, great views, beautiful atmosphere, attentive service and always the experience of how nice it is to spend time with new people.

Man fühlt sich unglaublich heimisch. Man wird wärmstens Empfangen und denkt zu keiner Zeit, dass man ignoriert wird. Es war insgesamt ein toller Abend.

Disappointing service and questionable behavior We visited this restaurant and overall we were very disappointed. The service was unprofessional and unpleasant. The service staff couldn't make any recommendations for their own menu, which is extremely questionable for a restaurant of this type. The behavior was generally rude and there were some comments that made us feel uncomfortable. What was particularly disturbing was that we had the impression that we were being treated differently after the waitress noticed that we spoke a different language. Whether this was due to personal unprofessionalism or a racist background remains to be seen - the result was in any case unacceptable. The food itself was mediocre, nothing special, which unfortunately couldn't save the overall impression of the evening. As a guest, you expect respectful treatment and a service staff who knows what they have to offer and can act competently. That wasn't the case here and we didn't feel welcome. Overall, our visit was disappointing and we unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant based on these experiences.

Ich fragte unseren männlichen Kellner, ob er Seebarsch oder Steak empfiehlt. Er erklärte sarkastisch, dass das eine Fleisch und das andere Fisch sei, als ob wir es nicht wüssten. So ist feine Gastfreundschaft nirgendwo auf der Welt. Danach wechselte er mit einer à la-Kellnerin, um unseren Tisch zu bedienen, was sehr seltsam war, als ob er sich nicht mehr um uns kümmern wollte, da wir keine Deutschen sind, obwohl er perfekt Englisch spricht. Das Steak war innen auch medium rare, obwohl ich medium-well bestellt hatte. Allerdings haben sie den Essensfehler wieder wettgemacht. Aber für den Service, unglaublich.

Preis und Qualität der Speisen liegt weit auseinander. Würde für das Geld beim nächsten mal wo anders hin gehen.

We were there for brunch on Christmas Day. We were warmly welcomed in the hotel lobby with a glass of champagne. We were allowed to go up from 1 p.m. A warm welcome there too. We were escorted to our table. The view over the Alster was very impressive. Once we received our drinks we headed to the buffet. He was gigantic. A very tasty, extensive selection. The service was very attentive and friendly. We can only recommend this. Thank you

We had Christmas Day Brunch at Heritage and it did not disappoint. Firstly, the venue is stunning and service is implacable. The table was beautifully laid including a few small gifts. Then there is the food which really is amazing. We had reindeer, goose, prawns, pasta, oysters, vegetables, cheeses, bread, salmon the list goes on and on. Our wine glass was also never empty so I’m laying in bed eight hours later, digesting and remembering how good that afternoon was. Vielen dank!

Verry Nice place with a Great view. However it didn’t live up to our expectations. For example . A waiter that opens a new bottel of wine doesn’t late you taste it but just tops up your glass is something that in a restaurant like this should never happen It’s in the details as they say. The place is lovely, the food is oké. But it could be better.

It was a delightful experience overall. The food was delicious, and the view was absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, the service fell short of expectations, as the waiter appeared rather tense, which slightly dampened the mood.

Wir hatten 3 Cocktails - 2 waren sehr gut aber sehr klein, einer eher Durchschnitt Bieroptionen sehr enttäuschend Kürbissuppe - die war geschmacklich super Salat - uninspiriert, gibt es in jeder Kantine besser Vegane Pilze mit Edamame - Super Dry aged entrecote - enttäuschend Service am Empfang super, Kellner aber sehr ausbaufähig Am Ende wurde Karte nicht akzeptiert. Das ist mir tatsächlich noch nie passiert… Würde ich nicht weiter empfehlen

Ein sehr gutes 5-Gänge-Menü mit vielfältigen Aromen und einer guten Weinbegleitung macht den Abend zum Erlebnis. Wer es kürzer will sollte die Dry-aged Rindfleisch-Angebote probieren, z.B. das Entrecote oder das Chateaubriand

Sehr freundliche und sehr bemühte Mitarbeiter. Mein Wunsch bei der Buchung wurde erfüllt. Sollte man einen Gutschein vorher buchen und bezahlen, den QR Code nicht vergessen. Das Essen war super lecker. Das Ambiente ist hervorragend. Leider hatten wir eine Gruppe von Damen hinter uns, die lautstark lachend allen Gästen ihre gute Laune mitteilen wollten. Das war sehr störend. Man konnte sich zeitweise nicht gut verstehen und unterhalten. Aber es war für uns trotzdem ein wunderschöner Abend. Wir kommen wieder!

Für diese Preisleistung erwarten wir leckeres Essen und einen zuvorkommenden Service. 2x Filet und 1x Rumpsteak mit versch. Beilagen. Das Filet war zart, das Rumpfsteak so wie die diversen Beilagen absolut versalzen. Grobes Meersalz fein, aber nicht in diesen Ausmaß. Sehr schade ! 3x Dessert, ein Gaumenschmaus. Zweite Runde Lillett, so wie eine Pralinen Box gab es zum Geburtstagsanlass aufs Haus. Der Service passte nicht zu dem gehobenen Ambiente. Wir haben lange, auch zwischen den Gängen, auf eine Servicekraft warten müssen. Abräumen, uns noch etwas anbieten und zwischendurch nachsehen, hat nicht stattgefunden. Höflich, jedoch sehr kühl. Wir haben uns nicht wirklich willkommen gefühlt. Kann das Heritage nicht weiterempfehlen. Wir haben uns sehr gefreut. Jedoch gibt es weitaus bessere gehobene Küchen wo sich der Gast auch wohlfühlen kann.

Unglaublich schöne und angenehme Atmosphäre, Service so zuvorkommend und freundlich, Essen ausgezeichnet und insgesamt einfach ein tolles Erlebnis.

Ich würde Heritage Hamburg Leuten empfehlen, die sich einen guten Service leisten können. Es war von dem Moment an, als wir hereinkamen, makellos. Alles ging Hand in Hand und war ein tolles Erlebnis. Das Essen und der Wein haben so gut zusammen geschmeckt. Ich habe es als Geburtstagsgeschenk für meinen Freund gebucht, da es auch unser Jahrestag war. We spent a few days in Hamburg and slept at Le Meridien on the Alster. Great hotel with rooftop bar & chic restaurant. We were enchanted with great drinks & good wines. Service is unobtrusive and yet always on site. We were surprised by the kitchen - a real treat. Every course is a delight for the eyes and an experience for the palate. The great view of the tributary of the Elbe, the Alster. Brilliant culinary evening. Thank you Christian

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 3 Personen am Panoramafenster reserviert und orderten einen saisonal passenden Blumenstrauss als Dekoration. Am Empfang lag unsere Reservierung vor, jedoch war kein Tisch reserviert und auch nicht für uns vorbereitet. Die Bestellung der Blumen war ebenfalls nicht umgesetzt. Die Bemerkung eines Mitarbeiters: "Sorry, das tut uns leid." empfanden wir als Entschuldigung etwas flach. Wir erhielten einen schönen Tisch und wurden freundlich und aufmerksam bedient; so wie man es in einem Restaurant dieser Kategorie eben auch erwartet. Wir wählten 3 mal das Menü und freuten uns auf ein Hors d'oeuvre - vergebens, ein Gruss aus der Küche gehört hier nicht zum Repertoire. Zusammenfassend hatten wir einen an sich angenehmen Abend mit leicht vermeidbaren Pannen. Das war - zumindest in Teilen - nicht sehr professionell.

Maybe I went into the day with too high expectations. Unfortunately, it wasn't really possible to use the "panoramic elevator" that leads directly to the restaurant to see outside. The view was ok, unfortunately you couldn't really see much due to some of the light in the interior. Unfortunately, it got a bit warm in the room after a while. Reception was friendly and good, service was nice, unfortunately an extra drinks menu was only available upon request, which is a shame. The selection of drinks and cocktails was very small for the size of the bar. There was bread and butter beforehand, both very good, you could have gotten more. The starter, the beef tartar, was very tasty. I would say it was the highlight, but a small "deceptive package" - the fried quail egg covered the middle, which was unfortunately only filled with a little salad. The main course, the salmon fillet, was good. Unfortunately the salmon wasn't really particularly well fried, but I would be disappointed if it wasn't. Asparagus was ok, unfortunately very little. Unfortunately, the trout caviar masked the taste of the other ingredients. Unfortunately, I didn't taste the chili, but of course the spiciness is always different, but I didn't feel any of it. Dessert, the "I hate chocolate" the apricots and the apricot puree were unfortunately very bitter. But the ice cream was cleaned up pretty well. The mascarpone added a nice richness. I would have liked a little explanation for all the dishes, which should actually be normal in a restaurant like this. The evening cost 103 euros, which is completely OK, but compared to other upscale restaurants, HERITAGE Hamburg unfortunately can't quite keep up.

Upscale cuisine in a stylish atmosphere with a sensational view. But well-intentioned is not always well-done and so the service and food only get 4 out of 5 stars. Cash payment was only possible if it was convenient, as there was no change available. The price-performance ratio no longer corresponds to the standard! The sunset with a view of the Outer Alster is always an experience for Hamburg residents.

Great rooftop bar with a sensational view over the Outer Alster. The cocktails are very good, some unusual, very tasty. Not exactly cheap, but fits the ambience. The alternating bright LEDs create a very atmospheric atmosphere in the evening. The staff is attentive, but not stiff or too formal. The music is also loungey and unobtrusive, but no elevator noise. A very relaxing evening in beautiful surroundings.

We have often been to Heritage. The view and the relaxed atmosphere are still great. The wines are also okay. But the quality of the food has unfortunately declined. Some dishes were great, but tagliolini with fresh truffles in an ordinary cream sauce doesn't work in my opinion. It is also a no go if a guest announces a fruit intolerance and then finds pomegranate seeds in the salad. The coffee on the house is little consolation.

The view was fantastic and the restaurant is originally designed. The ambience is appropriate for a city like Hamburg. However, the food leaves something to be desired. It was overcooked and the seasoning wasn't right. What was annoying was the price, which was very high. Disgraceful for the food quality. The service wasn't good either. Long waiting time until you are noticed and unfriendly hospitality. A disappointment

Insanely beautiful restaurant with great food, friendly service and a very nice view. The prices are very above average but correspond to the quality and the ambience. Unfortunately, we were not given a card for the aperitif, which meant that we had no overview of the prices and what was on offer. Nevertheless, it was a very nice evening, which the restaurant and bar on the roof played a big part in.

The food here is fantastic, even as a vegetarian you can get great dishes here! The location is also great, you have a great view and the atmosphere is fantastic. The only thing that might be briefly mentioned here is that you had to wait quite a long time before you could order or be served. But I'm not deducting a star for this because the restaurant was full and the service was really, really friendly!

The view is of course great. This is heavily included in the price. Food and service are not the level I would expect from five stars. Wait times and errors. Pulpo and lobster, for example, were extremely well done. Bar and restaurant are separate from each other. You should run through the whole house. A shared receipt is also not possible.
