The food is very tasty, no matter what you order and is very appetizingly prepared. The service is always friendly.

I was here today for the first time - and definitely not the last. We had sushi - I can absolutely recommend it! The ingredients are fresh, the service is really good and there are incredibly great and creative sushi ideas. We would love to come back here.

There were two of us there and everything was perfect. Only we were seated next to a large family with very loud children, maybe a little loud for the time of day but nothing that detracted from the experience. Very friendly service and amazing food. The prices are a bit high but absolutely reasonable considering the quality.

Spontaneously without a reservation and still got a table after a short wait. (Next time I'll make a reservation). Service and food 1 A. My daughter, who loves sushi, couldn't stop raving about it. I agree with her. Fair prices for excellent service and great quality. Been there again in the meantime. This time with reservation. My first impression was confirmed.

To be picked up or enjoyed there - always top. We have had the pleasure of using the restaurant five times so far - both for take-away sushi and eating on site. It tastes very, very tasty - the price-performance ratio is okay. We love the sushi a' la chef. Every now and then there is a little waiting time, especially when picking up. But the friendliness of the staff makes up for this. Therefore, absolutely recommended for eating sushi.

Once again a really delicious meal at our favorite place for Asian cuisine❤️ There was chicken with cashew nuts, beef with vegetables, coconut ice cream and orange ice cream.

Japanese/Asian restaurant in the heart of Niendorf. The restaurant is located on the upper floor of the Tibarg Pavilion. It is tastefully decorated. We were there for lunch. The prices for this are fair. The service is quick and friendly. The food was very tasty. You can go there again...

I came here spontaneously for lunch and ordered a bowl with salmon sashimi, ponzu sauce and nut butter. All ingredients were very fresh, appetizingly prepared and well balanced. The sushi at the next table also looked good. The service was very attentive but not intrusive. Overall, the Ponzu is highly recommended.

Our reservation was "forgotten" or not found 🙈 probably that's why we were given a cat table next to the stairs directly in the passage where all arriving guests always wait, so we always had someone standing at the table, which wasn't nice. Food was delicious. Better knowledge of German when serving would not be bad, we were sometimes not understood, although that had no effect on the food.

A reasonably priced restaurant that I visit often. The food is good (pho is highly recommended), the service is great. The seating is a bit tight, but that's not a big problem.

Yesterday we spontaneously wanted to go out for something to eat in Niendorf and got a table at Ponzu. The restaurant is a little smaller and is located on the first floor of a house directly on Tibarg. When we arrived we were greeted and served by the super friendly staff. The store was full and yet the service was very attentive and quick. Sushi rolls and soup were shared as starters. For the main course, sushi rolls and other Asian main dishes were ordered again. All the dishes we ate that evening were delicious! The sushi was super fresh and tasted good. The portions at Ponzu are large, so the prices for the dishes are definitely reasonable. We had a nice evening with great food and friendly service. We would love to come back!

My wife and I have been in this place so many times and it was great every time. Yakitori and prawns are so delicious we can’t stop eating them. Sushi are great too. My favorite is unagi, can definitely recommend.

Ambiente etwas altbacken und für mein Geschmack nicht ganz zeitgemäß. WC nicht sehr sauer, kaum WC Papier, was natürlich ein No-Go ist. keine Papiertücher in WC um Hände abzutrocknen. WC ist eine Visitenkarte eines Restaurants und so ungefähr sieht auch die Küche aus. Betrifft alle Gastro Betriebe. Essen: Durschnitt, Reis naja, irgendiwe grau, fade und Mikrowelle......Preise nicht adäquat, Getränke schon fast unverschämt teuer. In Imbissen bekomme ich exact das selbe für die Hälfte des Preises. Essen war insgesamt okay, aber irgendiwe "glanzlos" und eben kein Wow - Effekt, im Gegenteil. Ich kann viele 5 Sterne Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Personal war nett und nicht aufdringlich, das war schon ganz ok, aber auch nicht so richtig Gästeorientiert.... ein bisschen auf "Sparflamme"... Kein zweiter Besuch

Can't quite agree with the good or very good reviews. Average. After reading the experiences, I hoped for more from the visit. Ambiance: not contemporary, a bit old-fashioned. Toilet (ladies) not particularly clean. Hardly any toilet paper and no paper towels after washing hands. That doesn't work at all. Food: nothing spectacular, in many Asian snack bars you can get the same or something better for half the price. Drinks are definitely a bit too expensive. Rice was (according to my perception) not fresh, stale and warmed in the microwave, ok, that alone isn't a knockout. Criterion. The overall picture and impression... service was nice, (actually a given), but not really (I mean: really, "really") tried hard. Everything is a bit like that: 0-8-15. My complaint (it was about the food I ordered) was not taken seriously at all. Well then, no tip either. I can get the same thing at a snack bar (clean, fresh, enough) for half the price. Prices there are a bit excessive. Don't go there anymore.

Ponzu is always a nice experience and a restaurant to recommend. There is something for everyone, whether small, large, vegetarian, with meat or fish, spicy or not spicy. :) Ambience: The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside, and you can also sit very well outside. Most of the time we didn't have to reserve a table when we went there to eat, but I would still recommend just to be safe. Unfortunately, the main street outside was a little noisy at times, which the restaurant can't do anything about, but I would still deduct one star. 4/5🌟 Food: the food was super delicious! The portions were large enough to fill you up but without making you feel overfilled or stuffed. If you reordered, the food always came very quickly. Maybe it was because it wasn't that busy, but we received very quick and very friendly service. Actually, the rating is enough: best of the best. The quality of the food is simply sensational. We definitely recommend sashimi from yellowfin tuna as well as all types of sushi. Other dishes are also highly recommended. Kimchi can be ordered separately, is also homemade, very tasty and has the necessary spiciness. Reservations are essential; one of the few restaurants where all tables are reserved. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The freshness of the products is absolutely convincing and the fine taste Dishes are fantastic. Conclusion: Reasonably priced for the very good quality. Definitely try it. P.S: It is very loud inside, but this is due to the comparatively low ceiling height.

Nice restaurant on the 1st floor. We were there on the weekend, totally booked and so it probably took a little longer for drinks and food. The food was delicious, we were happy to pay a little more for it (quality has its price!), there was a small deduction for the drinks because we had to wait too long and reordering was almost impossible due to the high number of guests and all the hustle and bustle. We'd still like to come back, there's still a lot on the menu to try out.

Ponzu is one of my favorite restaurants in Hamburg and my husband and I enjoy celebrating our birthdays or anniversaries here. The food is absolutely delicious and the service excellent. People like to be guests here. However, the restaurant is quite small and it can be a bit drafty next to the stairs. But that is complaining at the highest level. Be sure to reserve in advance, the Ponzu is actually always full. But you can also order food to be picked up, I think. In any case, this went smoothly during the pandemic, so we didn't have to go without our delicious ponzu sushi.

I am extremely enthusiastic about the Ponzu. If a restaurant in an area like Niendorf, which is not necessarily considered trendy, makes such a good name for itself, is always busy and it is sometimes very difficult to get a table without a reservation, then it must be due to the good quality of the restaurant Food speaks. I feel like I've already gone through the entire menu and I always like it. I can only recommend sushi and sashimi. Can easily keep up with the supposedly big ones in the city, like Ono or Clouds, even without the chic location and without the exorbitantly high prices there.

For me the best chicken sweet sour in town...delicious. My family loves the sushi. The Pho had the best broth I've had so far... clear recommendation

The food was really good. The staffs were very polite and respectful. Just amazing service. I love the noodles and the most amazing soups wow I am actually from England whenever I come to hamburg I would be visiting this place.. Elegant!

We had a quick stop in Hamburg to meet our friends. This restaurant is close to A7. I can 100% recommend this place. It was busy Easter day, but we got a table. Staff were friendly and talked english. Thank you so much. And most importantly food was amazing.

Five people, two starters, five main courses, five drinks: €140. The food is very tasty, the service is reserved and attentive.

Unfortunately very disappointing! In anticipation of delicious sushi, I also accept higher prices and chose tuna maki, tuna nigiri and special roll 121 for just under 30 euros. As you can see from the picture, the result is rather poor. The nigiri are so narrow, as if a normal nigiri had been cut in half. All in all, unfortunately the taste was average at best. Three years ago we were extremely enthusiastic, but now unfortunately we are just as disappointed.

We won't be coming back. Promised! The food is ok. The table was reserved from 6-7:30 p.m. At 7:10 p.m. the whining started that we should pay. At 7:20 p.m. we were finally asked to leave the restaurant because we had to prepare the table and the next guests were already on the stairs. With the wine spritzer still half full, we left everything behind.

I never wanted to have to write this review. This week I ordered vegetarian fried noodles. Unfortunately they came with chicken. You kindly took them back. Unfortunately, the vegetarian version also contained meat (probably not being able to pick out all the pieces in the kitchen). Unfortunately I didn't like that at all even though you're otherwise doing a great job.

I pre-ordered sushi for pickup. When I arrived it was just being prepared, which means it was freshly prepared on time. Everything else was super nice and uncomplicated. It's not cheap, but for the quality the price is fully justified. Really great food, thank you very much!

We had lunch at Ponzu and can only partially understand all the very good reviews. Had as a “starter”. The three of us rolled sushi that unfortunately looked like it had been prepared several hours ago. However, the taste is still good. Unfortunately, the fried rice with vegetables and chicken was far too dry. However, the service and ambience were great. However, there are much better Asian restaurants in terms of taste.

For me personally one of the best Asian restaurants in Hamburg.⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food is super delicious, a real taste explosion that I have rarely experienced. TOP! 👍 The entire kitchen and service staff is extremely friendly, competent and professional in their jobs. The decor is cozy and you have a great view of the lively Tibarg in central Niendorf. I give the restaurant 10 out of 10 stars!

You can only make a reservation if you confirm in advance that you will leave the location after 1.5 hours. Eating in shift work. No thanks, I'd rather spend my money somewhere else where I can eat my food in peace.

I wouldn't recommend the ponzu. Reservations only possible if you are insured in advance to stay for only 1 1/2 hours. Then I can also order from the snack bar.

Really great sushi and cozy atmosphere. Would recommend! :) their prawn tempura is so good and that SAUCE was very delicious! Really liked the crispy rolls.

My wife and I can only warmly recommend the sushi and the yakitori skewers. The restaurant is quite small, which can be cozy, but unfortunately it was also very crowded and therefore very loud. But that didn't really bother us because the food and the service from the many ladies were top! (Which perhaps explains why it was so well attended.) :)

Immer wieder ein kulinarisches Erlebnis: Die Ponzu-Ente ist mit Abstand die beste Ente, die ich in einem asiatischen Hamburger Restaurant gegessen habe. Die Qualität der Speisen bleibt auch nach nunmehr mehreren Besuchen in den letzten 12 Monaten auf gleichbleibend hohem Niveau. So z.B. auch das Spicy Lachstatar. Der trockene australische Shiraz überzeugt zudem durch Geschmack und ein exzellentes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Abgerundet wird das Ganze durch den freundlichen Service. Hier ist man gerne Gast, und entsprechend voll ist es fast zu allen Öffnungszeiten. Ohne Reservierung geht hier nichts! Eine absolute Empfehlung, wir kommen weiterhin sehr gerne!

Ein von außen unscheinbarer Gourmettempel im Herzen von Niendorf. Wir waren zwischen Weihnachten und Silvester hier und sind begeistert. Wir haben einen Faible für Sushi in allen Variationen und durchaus schon in hochpreisigen Läden gegessen. Dieser hier steht in der Qualität den noch teureren in der Innenstadt für unseren Geschmack in nichts nach. Die Anrichtung, der Service am Tisch und der Geschmack des wirklich guten und marmorierten Fisches hat uns gut gefallen. Auch die Vorspeisen die wir zur Sushiplatte für drei Personen hatten, waren ausgezeichnet. Sowohl das Tempura als auch die Suppen. Von mir eine klare Empfehlung!

Service aufmerksam und sehr freundlich! Essen super lecker! Innenraum ist bisschen eng aber gemütlich. Wir sind lieber im Sommer auf der "Terrasse". Kommen gerne immer wieder!

Das Ponzo in Hamburg Niendorf ist ein sehr schönes Restaurant, es geht dir Treppen hoch, wir hatten einen guten Ausblick. Das Restaurant gefällt mir von seinem Design, es ist sehr edel . Wir waren das 2. Mal da und das Essen war wieder richtig gut!!!

Eine absolute Perle am Tibarg, das Essen war vom Geschmack, Qualität und Aussehen für uns seinen Preis wert, wir waren nicht das erste und sicher nicht das letzte mal hier. Personal ist auch super nett, klare Empfehlung von uns.

Ein sehr schmackhaftes Essen in schönem Ambiente;alleine die Toiletten sind sehr liebevoll dekoriert,wir hat man das schon!

Ich muss noch einmal danke sagen, qir waren spontan dort( kennen alle das Restaurant) mit 7 kleinen Kinder + die erwachsen dazu und für uns würde super freundlich ein Tisch fertig gemacht, alles ging super fix gerade für die Kinder, es war alles lecker und einfach so unkompliziert, zu keiner Zeit war das Personal überfordert oder unfreundlich . Alles einfach großartig.
