The place is great and the food was wonderful. But the staff had a bit of an attitude and felt not very welcoming. One waiter was picked on constantly by colleagues which made us feel for that person and a bit uncomfortable.

It was delicious, quiet, and cozy. The seafood pasta – highly recommended 😋

After a wonderful day in Lübeck, we decided to round it off with a meal at Da Luigi. The concept of the hotel couldn't be improved; this has been reported extensively in other reviews, and I agree. The meal was excellent. Unfortunately, my wife suffered a medical accident before dessert was served, with all the negative side effects caused by a potassium deficiency. We are very grateful to the Da Luigi team for their professional assistance. Special thanks go to the nurse who was staying at the hotel as a guest and spontaneously rushed to help until we were transported to the hospital. We apologize again for any inconvenience caused to the other guests. We will be back, we promise, and then we'll behave ourselves! Best regards

From the welcome to the service and the kitchen, everything was above 100%. The food was very good. Again, praise goes to the kitchen. The meal was worth every euro. I would have preferred a percolator for the espresso. The beans were also of good quality, though. 🥰

The stars we've given are still way too many. It was pure horror there. Reserved a table for 6 people, got a table for 5. A sharp, sharp-edged shard of glass was floating in the wheat beer, but luckily I managed to spit the sip back into the glass in time. Life-threatening. The dessert promised as compensation wasn't brought. Unfortunately, with 6 pizzas, the oven only has room for 4. So 2 had to wait for their pizzas. They didn't even ask if we wanted another drink; we sat there for 2 hours with a drink. The glasses were simply cleared from the table, but no one asked us. The waitress was incredibly rude and, at the very end, called us liars. 35 minutes before the restaurant closed, she basically threw us out, saying they were closing soon. We wanted to pay, asked if we could pay by cash or by card, and we said cash. After an eternity, we asked the waitress again that we wanted to pay. Out of the blue, this incredibly unfriendly person snapped at us, saying we had to do it inside, she'd said that. NO, she didn't. Weird place. In good places, you pay at the table. The whole thing escalated. Very unprofessional behavior. You should all change your profession. Not recommended. One more thing: we're restaurateurs ourselves and therefore understand a lot of things, but that, that's just not acceptable. I would give it 10 stars. P.S.: Regulars were courted, tourists are not welcome there. Very unfriendly and inattentive staff. Regarding the glass splinter in the beer, they just said, "That can happen sometimes." How unprofessional.

A romantic pizzeria with authentic Italian dishes, excellent service, and friendly staff. Possibly the best Italian restaurant in Germany. 👏🏻 We'll be back!

Great food, nice servers, but the management was just not there. We had a reservation and arrived on time but waited about an hour to be sat. Then the food took over 2 hours, and they had us move tables to accommodate other guests. The guests who took our original table got their food long before we did.

As we were seated, they told us they could only wait a short time because it was busy. When they said "short," we sat down, thinking it would be half an hour at most, but the food took nearly two hours. The atmosphere was nice, but the pizzas were nothing to rave about. I've had much better pizzas before.

Sitting in the garden area on a beautiful summer evening. The view is of St. Jacobi and the facade of the Praetor House, where the ivy hangs dry. Actually very nice. The pizza is okay and large, but nothing special. The staff brings everything quickly, attentively, and accurately; I felt a bit lacking in warmth. They serve what's listed on the menu, but we don't have pepperoni. Italian isn't really my style. But since all the reviewers seem satisfied, I might look for something else.

The food was good, the price was a bit higher, but still OK. The location was very nice. The restrooms weren't even wheelchair accessible.

We had reserved for two people and were seated in the somewhat neglected garden, where we sat at an ugly Formica table that had been previously wiped down with an unidentifiable spray and a towel. No fresh water to be found. While the tablecloths inside were quite nice, outside we were served the usual Italian paper napkin and a small glass of Cava on the house—scoundrels who think that's a bad idea! The completely haphazard service eventually brought us the totally boring food, not a culinary revelation but genuine touristy mainstream, and not even particularly well prepared. No flair, no good atmosphere, no highlight. But tourists do come, at least once! Absolutely not a recommendation.

The seating in the garden is very pleasant. It was very positive that there were no ashtrays on the table, so no one was smoking around us. Unfortunately, my meat wasn't of great quality; I expected more for the price. The risotto tasted okay, but it could certainly have been served a bit more attractively. It was very busy that day, so the service wasn't quite up to my expectations. Still, it was definitely a good choice.

I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat something truly delicious at a reasonable price. We had a really quiet meal in the small garden with its very pleasant, older atmosphere, and it was possible to reserve a table, even at very short notice.

Since we were there relatively early, we had to wait a long time for the food. We ordered pizza – and it was excellent! Great crust, light, fresh toppings – perfect. We'll be back.

Bella Italia in the true north. Not cheap, but worth every euro. Very friendly, if somewhat stressed, staff, good wines, and the best carbonara north of Trento.

Fantastic. This is how we imagine a stylish evening at an Italian restaurant! The Lübeck old town house complements the atmosphere that awaits you inside. Tastefully set tables with white tablecloths and cloth napkins, subtle natural floral decorations. Added to this is attentive and friendly, professional service. The menu isn't huge, but you'll find everything your heart desires, from tasty, affordable pizza to quite exclusive daily specials. Special requests are welcome. If you want to dine in the cozy courtyard, however, you'll have to accept a bit of a camping atmosphere. There's a slight contrast here to the elaborately set tables inside. Instead, you get birdsong in the middle of the city center. We were very satisfied with the pasta, pizza, and meat dishes. Well-seasoned and flavorful. We'd love to come back!

Tenía grandes esperanzas en Prätor - Haus - el Luigi basado en la ubicación y algunas recomendaciones, pero desafortunadamente, fue una gran decepción. El servicio fue lento y poco atento — esperamos demasiado tiempo solo para hacer nuestro pedido, e incluso más tiempo para que llegara la comida. Cuando finalmente lo hizo, la pasta se cocinó demasiado, y la salsa sabía a algo de un frasco. Lo que es peor, el personal parecía desinteresado y poco profesional — nadie se registró en nosotros durante la comida, y cuando mencionamos que la comida no era genial, nos encontramos con un encogimiento de hombros. Los precios eran demasiado altos para tan mala calidad. Definitivamente no vale la pena. Hay muchos mejores lugares italianos cerca. No voy a volver.

We ate there today with a larger group. The ambiance is very nice, the food is good. The prices are on the higher side. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. Empty glasses were constantly being cleared away, but at no point was anyone asked if we wanted another drink. I felt like they were trying to get rid of us. The manager stood at the bar wearing jeans and a t-shirt and bossed the staff around so loudly that the guests could hear her. In general, it was quite hectic.

Finally, some Italian food! A real carbonara (without cream) and the risotto looked good and were very tasty. We were there in a larger group (more than 10 people). Nevertheless, the dishes arrived quickly and warm. We were given a sip of Prosecco beforehand and a "distributor" as a farewell gift. We would have liked to order more drinks, but somehow they only cleared the glasses. The staff didn't ask. But everyone was nice. The manager was apparently in a bad mood, which made the staff hectic at times. Maybe we'll go again in a smaller group. You can also sit outside in the back courtyard. It looked quaint.

We were tourists in Lübeck and reserved a table in the Da Luigi restaurant because of the many positive reviews. We were greeted with a glass of good Prosecco on the house. The food and the homemade tiramisu were a delight. The house wine (Primitivo) rounded everything off perfectly. The atmosphere, the competent, friendly and attentive nature of the employees, everything was really perfect and totally exceeded our expectations! The price-performance ratio was also exemplary!!! In short: it was simply outstanding! Thank you for the wonderful evening!

Éramos un grupo de 11 personas de gira a Lübeck para un viaje de fin de semana. Estamos dispuestos a comer alimentos de la cocina local, pero también nos gusta visitar un restaurante italiano, como cambio. Elegimos el Luigi en Lübeck, basado en muchas buenas críticas. Angenehm freundlicher Empfang im historischen Gebäude mit hervorragendem Essen. Obwohl es sehr voll war, waren alle Servicekräfte sehr bemüht und zuvorkommend. Wir wurden informiert dass die Bestellung etwas länger dauert, was sehr angenehm, sympathisch und absolut nicht selbstverständlich ist. Die Aufmerksamkeit des Hauses mit einem Prosecco zum Empfang und einem Grappa nach dem Essen waren das zusätzliche I-Tüpfelchen. Unbedingt vorab reservieren! Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Pleasantly friendly welcome in the historic building with excellent food. Although it was very busy, all the service staff were very helpful and courteous. We were informed that the order would take a little longer, which was very pleasant, friendly and absolutely not a given. The attention of the house with a prosecco at the reception and a grappa after the meal were the additional icing on the cake. Be sure to reserve in advance! We are already looking forward to the next visit.

I had promised myself more, but my risotto wasn't cooked through. Since it was my companion's birthday, it was a shame that we couldn't eat together. It was better after a complaint, but it wasn't chunky enough and still wasn't cooked through properly. Wanted to keep the mood, I didn't say anything else. Vi kom en regnig kväll, våra jackor var genomblöta men vi fick hänga dem på våra stolar (pga det blev även min rygg blött, inte trevligt). Vi fick litet glas av väldigt söt procecco som välkomstdrink. Maten var ok, men lite överprisad enligt oss. Omgivningen mycket trevlig. Allt gick bra tills det blev dags att betala. Vi kommer från icke euro land, vi hade inte mycket kontanter med oss så vi betalade med kort och som vi brukar, skulle lämna tips i kontanter på bordet. Medan vi kollade vad vi hade i cash, såg vi Pergha närma sig mot oss med små glas limoncello. Men Tim, han som tog emot betalningen, viftade bort henne, sa något, hon vände sig om och gick tillbaka till baren. Där fortsatte de att diskutera oss även med bartendern och tittade mot oss. Du, Tim, och ni andra som tror att ni har koll på kunderns och kan läsa kundernas beteende, du ska veta att kunderna iakttar er också, ser allt och fattar allt! Vi hade gott skratt, det var ju cirkus! Du gjorde dig till åtlöje Tim, du missförstod situationen helt och hållet! Självklart lämnade vi inga kontanter. Vi var mätta, tack för det. Men att rekommendera er? Nej. Vi är ofta i Lubeck, men vi kommer inte tillbaka. Räcker med en gång.

We arrived on a rainy evening, our jackets were soaked but we had to hang them on our chairs, just like all the other customers (because it also got my back wet, not so nice). We come from a non-euro country, we didn't have much cash with us so we paid by card and as usual, would leave a tip in cash on the table. We didn't know what kind of card reader they had, could you tip there or could you just pay? While checking what we had in cash, we saw Pegha approaching us with small glasses of limoncello (we think). But Tim, the one who took the payment, waved her off, said something, she turned and went back to the bar. There they continued to discuss us even with the bartender who just glared at us intensely. You, Tim, and the rest of you who think you have control over the customers and can read the customers' behavior, you should know that the customers are watching you too, see everything and understand everything! We had a good laugh, it was a circus! You made a fool of yourself Tim, you completely misunderstood the situation! Of course we didn't leave cash. We were full, thanks for that. But to recommend you? A weekend in Lübeck. As a Hanseatic citizen you feel at home in the whole city. But Da Luigi is particularly convincing. The atmosphere is extremely pleasant and the staff is top notch! Food and drinks also excellent. We especially think the pizzas are outstanding. Not a big restaurant, short waiting times and reasonable prices. A clear recommendation. In addition, it is close to bars and nightclubs in the old town for a possible connection.

Entramos y reservamos la cena para la noche siguiente, que no parecía ser un problema. Cuando llegamos la noche siguiente la camarera parecía confundida y preguntó a otra si había una reserva a mi nombre. Que ella dijo que sí, sígueme. Ella nos acompañó por las escaleras y luego comenzó a servir otra mesa de clientes y luego nos dijo que tienes que volver a bajar Tengo que preparar una mesa. Había 2 mesas vacías en ese piso en las que podíamos habernos sentado y ella se podía haber quitado los platos extra, pero tuvimos que volver a caminar y luego pararnos en la barra. El bar era una zona estrecha sin asientos y no nos ofrecieron una bebida mientras esperábamos. La camarera entonces volvió a nosotros y nos acompañó de nuevo por las escaleras. Una vez sentados recibimos un vaso pequeño de Prosecco cada uno. Pedimos nuestra red y no esperamos mucho a que salieran. Estar sentado en ese piso no es genial, es una zona pequeña con vistas al conducto de aire acondicionado. Pero además de todo eso la comida era deliciosa. El risotto de setas era perfecto y la vieira con limón era tan sabroso.

On Saturday March 22nd, 25 we were here with 6 people for dinner at 6:30 p.m. The restaurant was busy, perhaps even fully booked. There were enough service staff, although not everyone was allowed to accept an order. The request for a bottle of red wine was only implemented on the third attempt. What really bothered me, however, was that at the “best Italian restaurant” in town you only get lukewarm food on your plate. 2x Scallopina only lukewarm 1x sea bream only lukewarm 1x salmon was super ok (vegetables but only lukewarm) 1x sea bream fillet with relatively many fish. Unfortunately, the food didn't convince me.

A little gem, somewhat hidden, in Lübeck's old town. Reservations are easy to make via the homepage; we were reminded via text message the day before. The restaurant can be found in a very beautiful old town house. The tables are very nicely set and the welcome is very friendly. The menu is not too big. The bruschetta alone as a starter was very tasty, as were the pizzas. Beer and wine were also tasty, we'll be back.

Unfortunately the service was subpar. As soon as we took our seats it was made clear to us that we had to leave after 90 minutes because the next guests would arrive then. We replied that we made a reservation 8 weeks ago and just wanted to eat in peace, from then on it was almost ridiculous. We had to wait forever for the card, then we were asked every 60 seconds whether we had voted. The main course then came, our starter was forgotten. So let's go back to the main course and give us the starter. Then wait a long time... then only two skin passages instead of three. A main course, the recommendation of the day, came in appetizer size, so much too small. Third main course finally arrived and another appetizer-sized portion, of course the bread was also forgotten. Then came the bill, of course two starters were charged as a main course, which is of course much more expensive. Invoice was changed, no apology or anything like that. The staff was extremely overwhelmed by the many guests, 3 people in service, 2 friendly and one of the ladies was rude and rude. The food was really very good, but the stay there was a complete disaster.

No, I am the author of this review and have already filed a complaint with Google. Our table was given to other guests despite the reservation period of seven weeks. Herzliche Begrüßung, einen kleinen Empfangstrunk zur Karte. Das Essen selbst könnte nicht italienischer sein Vorspeise Hauptgang und Nachspeise war perfekt. Der Espresso einfah belebend aromatisch.

Ladies and Gentlemen I had reserved a table two weeks in advance for December 31st, 2024, New Year's Eve - for 10 people. The lady on the phone was courteous and friendly. We were talking about a table that is available open-end. Full of anticipation, friends came who had traveled 2 1/2 hours and we made our way to the restaurant. When we arrived we were greeted by a lady who looked surprised when we said we had a reservation. A gentleman came over and asked me when I called and said that it couldn't be that we had made a reservation if we didn't know that a 4-course menu was offered. He presented it as if I had made it up. To check if I was calling somewhere else, I looked up the phone number, which was the restaurant's phone number. I am disappointed that the Lord has treated me as if it were my fault. That's not how you treat customers. Sorry, none. Unfortunately we won't be going here anymore.

Despite making reservations several weeks in advance for New Year's Eve, we as a group of 10 people who had traveled to Lübeck specifically for that evening were turned away in a very rude manner. When we arrived at the restaurant at the agreed time, it was suggested to us that we had definitely not made a reservation at this restaurant and were asked to look for something elsewhere. However, we were able to prove on site that we had called the restaurant several times to register additional guests and make the reservations. A solution from the operator would be expected to quickly resolve the problem. This did not happen in any way and getting a table at another restaurant at short notice on New Year's Eve is an impossibility. Despite the otherwise good reviews, I have to say that the quality of service we received was subpar. We would have loved to dine in this restaurant but under these circumstances I cannot recommend this place.

We reserved a table early by telephone, but unfortunately we were informed upon arrival that the reservation had not been made, contrary to what had been agreed. Unfortunately there was no compromise response and instead we were sent away.
