This cozy inn in Horumersiel is a must-visit for coffee and cake. Homemade cakes and a variety of hot drinks are served by the friendly Frisian staff at very reasonable prices. Those with time can also enjoy one of the numerous board games available.

The food was absolutely delicious! We had schnitzel and the vegetarian pasta. The schnitzel was beautifully souffléd, and the fries were nice and crispy. The service was very friendly and attentive.

I ordered tagliatelle in cream sauce, spinach, and salmon. I received a sweet, curdled cream soup with a leaf of spinach and salmon. My complaint was acknowledged without comment, but I was charged the full price.

A great, small but superb menu, very tasty, delicious, and plentiful dishes, a wide variety of drinks, and a restaurant beautifully decorated with many East Frisian souvenirs, photos, and other trinkets. Here, you're truly in East Frisia, or rather, you're reminded of the "good old days." Surrounded by extremely humorous, friendly, courteous, and attentive staff. In short: Everything is just right here!!! Even the prices are relatively "normal" and acceptable for these days! Be sure to reserve a table! This small restaurant sells out very quickly. A lovely restaurant with lots of charm, a bit hidden away, but definitely worth a visit. The food was delicious. The prices are touristy, but the quality is really good. The service was friendly and attentive. I particularly liked the fruity pasta with a beautifully fried piece of salmon on top; it was juicy, aromatic, and well-seasoned. The club sandwich was also impressive. The chicken was really juicy and had a good portion, nothing dry or lacking in flavor. The only minor drawback: the awnings could use some updating. Otherwise, it was an all-around lovely experience. Recommended for a relaxed meal in a pleasant atmosphere.

We visited the restaurant twice this week under the new owner. We had the salmon burger, the chicken burger, and the fish selection. The food was very good, and the service was friendly and attentive. As a regular of the previous owners, I missed the salad with chicken, balsamic vinegar, and fresh bread. I wish the young team all the best for the future!

We looked forward to our visits there every year. They had the best cake in all of Horumersiel. Always fluffy and delicious, and slightly warm, so much so that it felt like it had just come out of the oven. Now, under new management, we discovered that the cake no longer resembles the great cake it once was. Flat, dry, and cold. We were disappointed... What a shame... Still, the staff were super friendly!

It was another lovely evening with the family. The whole team has changed since last year, which was unfortunately noticeable in the food. The starters were excellent, the main course 50/50. It was okay but not a highlight. The staff is very friendly, and children are warmly welcomed. Despite everything, we miss the special warmth of previous years. But we are convinced that the young team will live up to the same standard! We would definitely love to come back next year. Maybe there will be something for the kids to paint then too ;-)

Slightly hidden and tucked away, the first impression may be deceiving. Even if you should make yourself known as a guest, this is an opportunity to enjoy a bit of Frisian coziness away from the hustle and bustle. Homemade cake, the same as we make at home, and a pot of Frisian tea? Absolutely. We even ordered another piece of cake—just to taste it—and were even given a "robber's fork" for our next meal. You don't find that everywhere. Regarding the so-called "currywurst," our opinions naturally differ, because in "my area" it's quite different. :-)

Very friendly staff in a lovely restaurant. We had a very good dinner there. My wife loved the salmon burger. The chicken nuggets were delicious, homemade, not pressed meat. The fried potatoes with the skin on were also very good. The only thing that wasn't on the menu was the mango bacon cubes on the fried potatoes. A great restaurant, highly recommended.

I can only review the Guinness here, as that's the only reason I visited this store. Unfortunately, I discovered that the Guinness is truly abysmally bad! Wrong consistency, incorrectly poured, etc.

Locally under new management, we were a bit disappointed, since we were only there for coffee I don't want to give a final verdict, just saying that the cherries on the waffles were much too sweet and the coffee should have been warmer and the service was quite slow even though there weren't many guests. Unfortunately, the dog ice cream that our dog loves is not available, at least at the moment. The ambience hasn't changed and the staff is friendly.

Leider kann ich die guten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Vielleicht hat der Inhaber gewechselt? Ab 13:00 Uhr sollte es Kuchen geben. Ich war um 13:10 Uhr da und der junge Mann hat mir drei Sorten Kuchen genannt, von denen jeweils nur noch 2-3 Stücke vorhanden waren - also wurde an dem Tag definitiv nichts frisch gebacken. Die Kaffeemaschine war defekt. Die Waffeln waren vegan, das stand allerdings leider nicht in der Karte. Zitat: „sonst bestellt sie keiner.“ Statt sich um die Gäste zu kümmern, mussten interne Unstimmigkeiten geklärt werden. Das Café ist definitiv nicht weiter zu empfehlen!

We ate here today with our 3 dogs. Even though we hadn't made a reservation, we were greeted very friendly and given a quiet table in the back of the restaurant where our dogs could lie down comfortably. The food was excellent, you could tell that everything was freshly prepared and the taste was coordinated with a lot of love. We will definitely come back here more often.

Das 3 Gang Menü war ein echter Genuss. Wir hatten alle unterschiedliche Gerichte die alle geschmeckt haben. Von Tagliatelle über Lachs bis zur Ochsenbrust alles sehr zu empfehlen.

Were on opening day. There was no menu yet (which wasn't to be expected and wasn't a problem). There was a 3-course menu - Salmon tartar or potato soup - Ox cheek carrots, potato puree - Tagliatelle with truffles - Salmon with risotto -Ice -Brownie Everything was very tasty and very successful for the opening evening. Compliments also go to the very competent and friendly service. Hopefully the restaurant can maintain this level or even improve it. In any case, it has the potential to become the best restaurant in Horumersiel. Keep it up.

On our first visit, we had redfish fillet (my boyfriend) and I had the chicken salad: both were delicious. On our second visit, my boyfriend had the redfish fillet again 😬 because it was simply delicious! I had rösti with pieces of pork, tomato puree, and Parmesan, also very tasty. Absolutely excellent value for money. We're already looking forward to our next vacation in Horumersiel... and many other dishes.

Quaint little restaurant with a very cool atmosphere due to the many great pictures. Here the name says it all. We had apple cake with cream / fresh waffle with vanilla ice cream and cream and we felt completely at home, which was also due to the warm and friendly manner of the service. Definitely highly recommended. Dogs are also very welcome.

A very cozy restaurant with particularly good cuisine. The recommended starter soup (pointed cabbage with chive oil and a lamb croquette) was a poem. We had a first-class meal...small, manageable menu, nice, friendly, courteous service. The food is freshly prepared…a real treat. We had cappuccino and cake in the afternoon...in the evening matjes with fried potatoes and a starter salad. Can recommend it to everyone... We went to dinner this evening, four adults and one child. And from ordering to eating to saying goodbye, everything was perfect. Extremely friendly service, a small but appropriate menu, everything freshly cooked - that was clear from a look into the kitchen. The food - schnitzel, golden perch with fried potatoes and penne with chicken - was very tasty and very attractively presented. Even our knowledge of the Frisian spirit has been expanded 😄 We'll try cakes or desserts next time - definitely, at least when our next vacation from Lower Bavaria takes us back to Friesland 😄

The food was phenomenal, both fish dishes were on point and perfectly seasoned, as was the salad beforehand. The children really enjoyed the pancakes and pea soup. The money was worth it! The staff was always friendly and asked for our opinion. The children were offered a painting activity in advance. It's a shame we have to leave soon. We would have liked to go there again. Felt comfortable with a small child right from the start. There was a supply of paper and pencils for drawing as well as good food. The team was very friendly and warm. The dogs next door were also well looked after. Gladly again :)

A wonderful little restaurant where the furry friends are served at least as friendly as the two-legged friends. Even though the menu is small, the dishes are so delicious and of high quality, a real treat. We had the schnitzel (so tender and delicious) with fries and a salad with chicken breast and homemade bread with delicious avioli. There was homemade liver sausage ice cream for our dog, which Katie really enjoyed. We definitely have to stop by here again during our holiday week, Katie thinks so too ;-)

An insider tip! Located somewhat hidden from the main street, it seems a bit inconspicuous at first. The owners cook and serve with a lot of love and passion. You can taste that in every dish in every course. Delicious soup of the day, excellent fish and handmade desserts to pamper you. Excellent hosts with charm, wit and attentiveness. A trip to the sea is worth it for this meal alone!

Great ambience and the food is great. It is freshly prepared and the menu changes weekly. There are 6 dishes on the menu...3 classics and 3 that change weekly. This guarantees variety and freshness. Reservations are recommended, otherwise you may not get a seat.

Wir hatten reserviert, was von Vorteil ist. Die Karte ist klein und überschaubar, aber abwechslungsreich. Wir hatten Rotbarsch mit Senfsosse, und das Champignon Rahmschnitzel. Es war megalecker !!!! Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt: Zum Rahmschnitzel fehlte eine Gemüsebeilage, oder ein Salat. Aber der Salat vom Rotbarsch reichte auch für uns zwei !!! Personal und Service waren Top !!!!! Aufgrund des Wetters haben wir uns ausnahmsweise 2 Stück Kuchen abgeholt. Kurz angerufen, Angebot erfahren, bestellt und abgeholt - der Kuchen war noch warm und einfach köstlich. Hier schmeckt man, dass der Kuchen noch selber und mit hochwertigen Zutaten gebacken wird - absolut kein Vergleich zu Kuchen aus der Bäckerei vor Ort / im Supermarkt.
