We stopped by while passing by. Not only do they serve French fries, but they also serve fried sweet potatoes! In Japan, potatoes are called potatoes, so this is a must-try for sweet potato lovers. Even if you order the small size (klein in German), it's still quite a lot for a woman...lol The hamburger patty is also meaty, heavy, and delicious. You can order via touchscreen (with English available) instead of face-to-face, so it's fine even if you're not confident in your German. By chance, the person in front of us accidentally took our burger. However, the staff quickly remade it, and we were able to take it home fresh. This is a great place to stop by if you're tired of eating in restaurants while traveling and want to get takeout for your hotel.

Unfortunately, my visit was very disappointing. Of the four ordering kiosks, only one was working. Ordering itself was simple, but I ended up receiving the wrong sauce, which I had specifically ordered. Since the food was ready very quickly, there was no time to sort things out – which is especially annoying because I couldn't eat that sauce due to an allergy and had to throw it away. In the five minutes I was there, I felt extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. The music was suddenly turned up very loud. I was also apparently standing in the way of a serving cart, but this wasn't communicated to me politely – instead, I was simply stared at grimly by an employee. I moved aside and felt even more uncomfortable. When I picked up my order, no one spoke to me at all – just offered me their hand. My smile wasn't returned, and my "thank you" and "goodbye" were completely ignored. I also wasn't told where to find cutlery. After this experience, I honestly didn't want to ask any more questions. The food itself tasted okay, but unfortunately, the fries weren't cooked through. For a place that specializes in fries, I find that particularly disappointing. Overall, the service and atmosphere were so unpleasant that I definitely won't be eating here again. I'd rather wait in line for ten minutes longer at McDonald's. It's a real shame – especially since I know fries from the north to be much better. After rereading the other reviews here, I sincerely hope that the service, communication, and quality will be improved in the future.

Had a Curry Wurst, which was nice. But the behavior of the staff (2 men) made me speechless. Since I was dining in, I had some 20min to observe other customers ordering. The staff showed with each interaction to the customers that they are annoyed, and showed no customer friendliness at. While customer asked them questions, they didn’t care and kept talking with each other in a language I didn’t understand (maybe Arabic). Not a single smile, “hallo”, “bitte” etc. With such staff you just feel like a number, not a welcomed customer.

I ordered a smash burger with bacon and they got my order wrong. I called to let them know that the order is wrong and the lady said that I was lying and that there’s nothing they can do to help me, I was served by the lady with the red curly hair who I think is the one who answered my call too, that is the worst service I have ever received it is nonsense and very terrible customer service. Maybe train the staff to know how to deal with customers better. I am not ordering from here ever again.

There's quite a difference between what you order and what you get. It's just something for drunk tourists passing by.

We are customers from other units of this restaurant, and this is the only one where we’ve had a problem. I don’t know the name of the attendant, but I was there on November 30th at around 9 p.m. The machines weren’t working, so I had to place my order with the attendant. He seemed very annoyed about having to do his job and almost yelled at me. That was already bad, but when I went to pick up my order, he looked at me with so much anger, threw my order at me, and started speaking loudly in another language. I don’t know what he was saying, but it definitely didn’t seem good. I will definitely not buy there again as long as this man is around.

Thirty minutes apparently isn't enough time to prepare a single burger, as the woman behind the grill couldn't cook more than two burger patties at a time. My boyfriend ordered a burger for the train ride. In the end, we walked to the train without the burger, but €26 poorer. Throughout my entire visit, I got the impression that the restaurant's primary goal is to squeeze every last penny out of its customers. The restaurant looks decent at first glance. But as soon as you approach, you're met with unfriendly, untrained staff. The pricing is deliberately misleading, and the burger is overpriced (though it was alright).

When our number was finally called, the employee snatched the order slip from my hand, crumpled it up, and dropped it on the floor in the preparation area before finally starting to cook. This place is absolutely not recommended. It's a total rip-off. I ordered a double currywurst with fries, but I only got one and paid more than the regular currywurst with fries costs. I ordered burgers and nuggets today (October 26th) at 5:55 p.m. At 6:20 p.m. (25 minutes later), I still hadn't had any food. On October 16, 2025, I placed a large order with them the night before, and they forgot my daughter's currywurst. I called several times and was yelled at. Years ago, I went to the Pommesfreunde (a French fries shop) in Pasing. Today, I would have been able to, and I felt like it again. I went there, and there were two of the panes used to lock the doors overnight, which were chipped, but still intact. A man was standing inside. Was it open or closed? 🤔 I approached, looked at the screens, which was getting expensive. Then an employee came over, and instead of saying something normal, she shooed me away with her hands, and then followed it up with an unfriendly "CLOSED." You probably can't do anything about the glass, but you could at least behave a little better...

I ordered a burger and fries for €14.40 on January 24, 2025. The order was placed at 1:31 PM. At 1:46 PM, I still hadn't had any food, so I went to the counter and said I didn't have any food, I had to catch the train, and they had one more minute. Then I had to leave. If they couldn't make it, I wanted my money back. After a minute, I said I wanted my money back. I said this three times and was always ignored, saying it would only take two more minutes. At 1:48 PM, I left to catch my train, which leaves at 1:50 PM. I didn't get any food. That's not what I consider fast food, as advertised by them. An email to Pommesfreunde describing the situation and again demanding a refund never received a response!

The fries were absolutely no better than other fast food restaurants; the price is significantly too high for the quality and atmosphere. I wouldn't go there again. Edit: I'd like to point out that Pommes Freunde tried to remove this review for "defamation." I had to justify myself to Google and provide proof of my visit. My friends and I certainly won't give a second chance to places that simply remove bad feedback instead of improving. Shame on you!

An absolute outrage! What happened here defies description. My friend ordered and paid for three cheeseburgers – but he received only one. When asked, they didn't help him; instead, they lied, argued, and simply denied the problem. Instead of being customer-focused, they only gave rude, disrespectful answers. The employees behaved completely inappropriately, argued loudly, and lacked any sense of decency. The result: paid, cheated, insulted. A blatant rip-off, the likes of which one rarely experiences. Anyone who goes here not only risks their money, but also the most disgraceful treatment. French fries friends? Better yet, French fries enemies. Never again!

€10.95 for the burger is ridiculous. Not recommended. Better to go to McDonald's a few meters away.

A rip-off. My food was given to someone else. After a long wait, when I asked, I was accused of stealing the receipt. Even after presenting my online banking receipt, they continued to argue. The staff were terrible, and the food didn't even taste good anymore. While I was waiting, I noticed that no one ever paid attention to whether a receipt was being shown or not. It's a disgrace.

The menu and the actual food are drastically different. The patty is really thin and poorly cooked, so it's dry and small. There's just a bun, cheese, and the patty. The sauce is just a little sprinkled in the middle. The cheeseburger is 9.95 euros, which is terrible value. You're better off getting a sandwich at the bakery next door or going to McDonald's. Drinks are over 3 euros, but you can get them for around 2 euros at the supermarket across the street.

Complicated ordering process. My €13 burger meal turned into €18 because I left out a cheese sauce somewhere and I assumed a drink was included in the meal (!!!) – but it wasn't. The display didn't show the completed orders, and there was no indication of this defect. The red sausage tastes and looks like a Vienna sausage, i.e., a boiled sausage. Everything tastes okay, but I think it's way too expensive for that.

The burgers are really tasty and big. I had the chili cheeseburger, and it was absolutely amazing. They came with good fries and a side of sauce. And the good thing is, they're not small sauces like at MCS, but rather a really decent portion. So, a really good place!

I have to say it's quite difficult to rate. Generally speaking, the food was good, no question about it. However, I find it incredibly confusing. It's very difficult to tell what's vegan and what isn't. That's why I'm not giving it all the stars because I think this definitely needs to be improved. Scam, avoid at all cost. Lost $20 euros because they didn't put full order in the take away. The operator is attempting to delete a review from January 2025 for alleged defamation. I have now filed an objection to the deletion and submitted the card payment receipt (booking text: Pommes M HBF Kiosk GmbH KMuenchen 000) from the banking app, and have informed Google that this is apparently not an isolated incident.

Of three ordering terminals, two are broken, and the line is endless at the third. I try to order at the checkout, but the cashier fobs me off. I tell him the terminals are almost all broken, and he aggressively waves his hands toward the terminals. "Don't order here, order there." I repeat that the terminals are broken, and he continues to aggressively wave his hands. Mind you, there's an EC card machine at the checkout that's active and can be used to pay for orders. A little tip for management: Make sure your technology works and hire employees who speak German. PommesFreunde Hauptbahnhof, you're one customer down.

Pommes Freunde is delicious, but you should go to a different location than this one. Removing reviews doesn't necessarily improve the image of this restaurant. Accept the numerous criticisms and improve! This is the only way to effectively combat bad reviews, if you really want to try.

Check your order immediately when you pick it up. Not only is the place completely unhygienic, but they also mix up orders. I ordered a plant-based burger and got double beef and cheese – I can't eat that! Not a single thing about my order was right! From the outside, the small grill looks quite appealing. Ordering and payment are done via the screen. In your haste, you forget to check reviews. The poor Bacon Smash Burger, whose name has been misused here. The bacon was tough and chewy and far from crispy. Smash was completely missing. The bun was industry standard. Only my extra chili for €0.50 was worth the money. Shoemaker, stick to your guns, fries are probably okay.

The "Smash Burger" was a dry pile of cardboard, the fries a culinary salute from a boredom coma. Value for money? A cheeky joke without a punchline. Better to get on the train hungry than full and sour.

The fries are usually quite good. But everything is far too expensive for what is little different in quality from other fast-food chains.

Avoid this place at all costs. Total lack of customer service and zero attention to detail. They didn’t even mention that I had to get my own drink from the fridge. Feels like a scam. I ordered the Double Käsegriller and was only given one small sausage instead of two – nothing like the photo on their menu. By the time I got back to my hotel, it was too late to complain. The sausage was tiny and disappointing. The burger was just as bad – burnt, greasy, flat, and thrown together with no care. Later that evening, I ended up with food poisoning. A terrible experience overall. Poor service, misleading menu, and bad food. Don’t waste your time or money here.

The staff is not friendly at all

This place is a scam. They have attractive pictures of food, and that's it. Workers turn on the crazy loud music and don't care what they are doing at all. They gave my husband completely different food (and, of course, cheaper), not what we ordered. When he approached them, they said that he had not figured it out, everything was correct there, “Chao!” They don’t care and treat customers like idiots. And the food wasn't tasty at all. Avoid this place at any cost. It's better to eat food from a supermarket than here.

I am pleasantly surprised by this fast food! A good choice of vegetarian menus and it's good! I recommend!

It was tasty but the service was terrible! The cashier was aggressive after I asked, “When will I get my order?” (the scoreboard with the numbers didn't work). Five minutes later he waves me over and literally throws my order at me. Afterwards there was a brief exchange of words...

For me,French Friends is the best example of how much quality can decrease through expansion. It used to be such a cool shop. Unfortunately now it's really not good anymore... Except the Andalouse sauce

Wouldn't buy anything here again and can absolutely not recommend the shop: It's a fast food snack bar at a train station - so you can assume that many customers have to get to the train and expect prompt service. However, you still have to wait 10-15 minutes for simple fries. There were only two customers in front of me, but the (also unfriendly) employee only thought it necessary to put my fries in the deep fryer after a few minutes and chatted with his colleague during that time. Then I wanted to quickly sprint to my train through the unexpectedly long waiting time, but was given the fries "to go" (as stated when ordering) in a small bowl, from which they fell out when I was handed over... after asking whether I could get a paper bag with it, the employee then did something else until it was convenient for him to give me the paper bag that was directly behind him. Wow fries themselves taste ok..
