We quickly took two BBQ chicken burgers with us! I actually found them quite tasty and successful! In my opinion they don't justify the high price! Quite annoying from our point of view: We only had 20 minutes to catch our connecting train and were the only customers! After getting dressed, 4-5 employees were running around in front of and behind the counter, but only one of them was really taking care of the burgers! Definitely far too long of a wait at a time when nothing was going on...! That's why at least 3 stars in the end because the burgers themselves were really okay!

Food wasn't really warm and fries had no salt

The shop was dirty (grease and sauce residue on the food tray and sauce dispensers), chips and paper towels on the floor. The fries we ordered (wide & large portion) were cold. After a complaint, a small and thin bowl came onto the counter without a word. No apology, nothing. Next complaint so that I can receive the goods I ordered... what will I receive? Yes again thin fries and in small. Then I gave up. The fries were too salty for me personally. But the unfriendly staff and the dirty shop are the reasons why I definitely won't go here again.

Worst burger I ever had in last 2-3 years. It was overcooked, burnt and tasted old.

Really tasty burger, but I paid extra for additional toppings and didn't get them. I also asked for no burger sauce...guess what was drenched in burger sauce. Also, theres a sign telling you what drinks are included in the menu price, but when you select the menu, all drinks are 3€ extra! That's not how menu pricing works! I wonder how may people haven't noticed this and ended up paying 3€ more for their meal than they expected to.

Worse fries ever. The main guy taking orders was super rude. Don't order here.

We got into Munich really late and not much was open. We walked past this place and it was awesome. I had a grilled chicken burger and my partner had the Huttenburger (I think it was called) and we thought they were delicious! The person who took our order was super nice as well.

Hello, I wish I could give 0 stars. The worst service I have ever seen. The foreman is incredibly rude, and she is very disrespectful to the customers (I wonder how a foreman can be like that... well) No hello, no smile, nothing. Unmotivated employees who don't feel like doing anything This store is a complete disaster. Not recommended at all.

There are several people behind the counter and yet we are asked quite politely to use the ordering column. When we simply ordered at the checkout, we were neither greeted nor spoken to properly. When ordering, the woman didn't listen at all. Everything had to be repeated 3 times. Meanwhile, the currywurst lay in the paper plate for 10 minutes, and when it was cold, the hot fries were added. Pointless! Order ended up wrong. Discussion not possible. The sauce dispensers are dirty with hair (30-40cm). Sausage red had a very strange consistency. Definitely not again for us. It's a real shame, because we ate regularly at the stand on Bayerstr and were always satisfied.

We were in Munich over the weekend. The store itself looks like shit. Grease and residue everywhere, the ceiling is open, the pipes have dirt everywhere. The employees behind the counter have absolutely no interest. On the first visit they absolutely didn't understand why I wanted to take my currywurst with me. In the end I got two normal paper bags, the boxes for "to go" were piled up but if you only understand a few sentences of German then it's apparently not that easy. On the second visit (second chance) the currywurst was packed, but I still had no interest. You take fries however you feel like it, sometimes thick fries, sometimes thin ones... whatever is available. Asking is too much work. We stopped by the store again on the last day out of interest, it was already quite late after the Metallica concert, we could definitely have made some sales. But the employee simply turned everyone away and said “No currywurst”. 30 minutes before closing time it was apparently too much work for him (there were still plenty of sausages, sauce too...).

Bad, expensive, unfriendly... a unique combination! A small bowl of fries, advertised as chili cheese fries, for 7.95, which had as much to do with chili cheese fries as Bud Spencer had to do with classical ballet. A teaspoon of brown 'sauce' with a small batch of a chemical tasting cheese sauce, paired with at least 4-5 slices of jalapeños.

The bad reviews are absolutely baffling to me. Yesterday I entered this cute little shop in the basement of the train station for the first time and was skeptical at first (as one usually is at main train stations). Then ordered a guacamole fry and only then saw that there were 8 other sauces to choose from. And guess what? All sauces were extremely hot, without exception! My absolute favorite was the pepper sauce, I could go for it :D. Fries were great (not the best I've ever had, but who cares?) and in combination with all the sauces it was just a symphony. I'll definitely come back! I think my portion cost 7€ :). The atmosphere is also cool, by the way, and the staff made a great effort and were friendly, professional and quick.

I've never been served as unfriendly as at Fries's Friends at Munich Central Station. Fries were lukewarm and no ketchup or mayo in the containers.

Rude service limp fries and ugly interior

Had the BBQ beef loaded fries. The fries were hot, but the meat wasn’t as expected. Quite expensive for 6.95€ of chips, sauce and and few strips of beef

However, I had to wait about 3-5 minutes until the 3 employees were finished talking and I was finally allowed to say why I was bothering you (I was the only one at the stand)...it wasn't all that crazy, but as a customer I would I don't want to feel like a burden when I order something...

Ordered a bratwurst with fries. After 5 minutes I am asked what I had ordered. Then the cashier acted like he couldn't remember and assumed I hadn't ordered anything. Fraud. Never again. 🤬

I was right in choosing this place over McDonald's. Their products are much more delicious.

This is a chain of halal burger & chips outlet. For an additional €0,50, they will use meats that have been certified halal by (by Islamisches Zentrum München Deutschland & Halal Quality Control Germany. If someone wants to try a halal currywurst, there are 3 options available. Just pay the extra €0,50. I tried the BBQ Bacon Burger menü and Chili Cheese Currywurst Spezial mit Softdrink. There are a variety of sauces placed in front of the store. Both dishes were ok. The store only has a few seats for dining in. Most people buy take away. It is conveniently located in the underground of the Hauptbahnhof, easily accessible via the S bahn, U bahn & tram.

Burgers were okay and so were the fries, they were nicely packaged and there were free sauces that you could use yourself. The price is also okay for Munich standards

I went to the one inside Hauptbahnhof. They are the most obnoxious unfriendly service people I’ve ever seen. Food was okay.

Take away place. No seating. At train station. Lots of pigeons around trying to get some food. Not bad fries but nothing amazing.

Fries weren't like that. Not crispy and rather limp! They didn't taste really good either. Of course there were the sauces to compensate, but unfortunately I expected more from the fries in the store!

Recession refers to the lower passage of the Central Station MUC: I was there on February 23rd, 2024 in the evening around 10 p.m. to actually treat myself to the delicious fries with Guantamale, but this was already (supposedly) sold out, this was told to me in a very rude/stroppy manner and in very unclear German and they immediately turned their backs on me too, I then ordered something else, still in a friendly manner: a burger, and there too: very short, almost incomprehensible questions and answers. I can understand that from a certain point in the evening there is a lot of rush of customers, but if that's too much for you or is not motivated enough to at least greet the customer with a small smile or to let the customer speak in peace, instead you only get grumpy, almost even angry looks. I have to say that only one of the three employees was so negative about it. Sorry, that's not possible!!!! Unfortunately I don't know the name of this person, he also seemed very unkempt, which is something you should also pay attention to when contacting customers! I would say very clearly that the job was missed. He had dark, unkempt hair 3-7 days(?) beard, booger figure...sorry I can't describe this person any other way The burger was ok, not great for almost 10 euros, but oh well… The handling bothered me more :( I won't visit that place again. Maybe I'll give them another chance at another location in MUC, but this one sucks (in the truest sense of the word!) Everything is very dirty and greasy, not to mention the sauce, it doesn't create a pleasant atmosphere)

There were no burgers and meat is scarce

Food is average, especially the fries, and a bit overpriced. Not exactly exemplary hygiene standards and annoyed employees (which is probably simply due to the poor pay). It's okay for a train station snack, but I'd rather look for something else.

I ate a hot dog, and it wasn't bad. It's not bad at all for half a hop in Munich... Recommended when you want to eat something warm.

I base my review on the shop in the lower passage. The drinks fridge wasn't filled, so I got a warm Coke Zero. I had to wait almost 25 minutes for the burger I ordered. The fries were served immediately after paying, but I would have much preferred to eat my burger in combination with the fries and was therefore half full by the time the burger was ready. The fries were in the deep fryer for too long and were therefore inedible. However, the sauces that were available were very tasty. I kindly asked the staff to wipe the table, but they have very poor knowledge of German and only understood it after the fourth mention and wiped it half-heartedly. They immediately seemed pissed off and said what was supposed to be there even though I pointed out to them the leftover food (chips, salt, pieces of salad, sauce) at the table and they couldn't understand why they should wipe the table. The subliminal tone of the word “Please” that I was told and the look I received were also extremely unpleasant for me as a customer. If the staff is overworked, then I completely understand, but it wasn't that busy and I as a customer felt uncomfortable because the employee didn't take me seriously and spoke condescendingly. Friendliness is probably a foreign word. The burger, on the other hand, was a solid 3.5, but unfortunately nothing special.

Great burger. Prices are a bit high, but it is worth the taste. I liked the burger wrapping. They offer halal for an extra 0.5€

When the shop opened in the morning everything was dirty. Instead of sauce, a watery liquid came out of the container onto my fries. Disgusting! I don't normally write bad reviews but the store is really bad, the owner should be ashamed if he lowers the standards so much because of the train station monopoly.

Zuerst wird abkassiert mit den schwarzen Gummihandschuhe und mit den selben Gummihandschuhe wird die Currywurst mit Pommes zubereitet so Yammy und eklig🤮 Und mit den selben Handschuhe wurde der nächste bedient! Das man aus der Pandemie nichts gelernt hat ist das eine tolle Leitung

Don’t know who the cashier think she is , the one inside the station not the one outside but she has rude element in her actions . Her actions show where and how cheap she was raised from where ever she came from .No values No morals No discipline

Um im Forum schnell etwas zu essen, entschieden wir uns für die „Pommes Freunde“. Klingt erst mal sehr freundlich. Achtung spoiler: ist es aber nicht. Nachdem wir für eine halbe Currywurst inklusive tot gebackener Süßkartoffelstocher und einen doppelten Cheeseburger knapp 30€ hinblättern mussten, machten wir uns auf den Weg zu unseren Plätzen. Zum Glück haben wir uns auf dem Weg dort hin nicht die Beine gebrochen, denn der Boden war so rutschig, dass man meinen könnte, das Frittierfett selbst wäre aus dem Laden geflüchtet. Nach 15 Minuten durfte sich meine Freundin dann ihre Currywurstplörre von der Theke abholen, während ich überlegte ob ich mich vor Hunger beim Nachbartisch bedienen sollte. Doch die hatten ihr Essen leider auch noch nicht vor sich. Die total überforderten Mitarbeiter schlitterten währenddessen mit ihren Pommessäcken von A nach B und ignorierten dabei jeglichen neuen Besucher. Nach über 30 Minuten entschied ich mich schließlich dazu, mein Geld zurückzuverlangen und zu gehen. Diese Idee hatten auch einige andere Freunde des Pommesalbtraums und somit verließ ich hungrig und mit 45 Minuten vergeudeter Lebenszeit diesen Laden. Mein größtes Mitleid haben allerdings die Mitarbeiter, welche dort wahrscheinlich für den Mindestlohn ungeschult und uneingearbeitet schuften, während der Pommesboss die Kohle einsammelt. Meine jedenfalls nicht. Eigentlich keinen Strern.. aber einen muss man geben.

Am 08.01.24 BBQ Burger Menü mit Pommes für Sohnemann bestellt. Geschmacklich sehr fieses altes Frittierfett, nicht genießbar. Hamburger Bun lag offenbar in offener Verpackung herum und war Styropor ähnlich in der Konsistenz. 1 von 5 Sternen dafür. Der Laden ist winzig, aber dennoch muss kein Müll oder Essensreste den Boden und Sitzgelegenheiten verunstalten. Für was schnelles zu essen keine gute Wahl, kann ich nur von abraten.

Angeblich bis 22:30 geöffnet. Mitarbeitende wollten mir am 9.1 um 22:05 nichts mehr verkaufen

Absolut unfreundliches, inkompetentes und ungeschultes Personal. Ich hatte für meine Tochter ein Kindermenü inkl. Spielzeugüberraschung bestellt, jedoch hat sich die Mitarbeiterin geweigert uns das Spielzeug zu geben und hat sogar behauptet das kein Spielzeug inklusive ist. Als Begründung für das inkompetente Verhalten behauptete sie, dass sie aufgrund eines Unfalls 3 Monate gefehlt hat und deshalb nichts von dem Menü wüsste. Diese Ausrede war ziemlich sinnlos da dass Menü ganz groß aufgehangen wurde.

Small portions and slow food service

Loaded Fries was a big lie. Such a mistake to buy at this place, my first horrible review on Google maps, I'm not going to write more than I do not recommend this place.

Unsere Bestellung (zwei mal Pommes) lies über eine halbe Stunde auf sich warten. Sie wurde mehrfach vergessen! Der Service war unterürdisch. Alle Burger der Speisekarte waren nicht verfügbar. Die Pommes waren kalt und labrig!

Halal certified options available which is highly appreciated. Currywurst was okay and presented well, solid pre-trip bite. Plenty of sauces available to choose from but a little pricey for sure.

Mega gute Currywurst Pommes waren lecker Currysoße Mega hat wirklich 5 Sterne verdient

Not sure why this place has such a low rating. The food was delicious! Hot, fast and very tasty. I had dicke pommes and currywurste and both were good. Would definitely recommend this place for a quick snack.

Curry wurst mit Pommes war Okey. Hat 10€ gekostet. Wenn man schnell weiter muss und sich nicht weit vom Bahnhof entfernen möchte ost der Laden eine gute Alternative.

Ich fand's Lecker ( hatte Süßkartoffelpommes ) und die Mitarbeiter waren gut gelaunt und freundlich. Das München teuer ist weiß man ja, und das es an Tankstellen, an Flughäfen und Bahnhöfen nochmal mehr kostet ist ja auch bekannt....

The Sweet Potato Fries with Sauce was amazing. The Chilli Cheese Pommes fries was outstanding too. Beef Burger is very filling, It is situated right outside of the Munich South entrance. The only annoying part is the smoke from cigarette smokers.

- Mitarbeiter „Pommes-Freunde“ waren sehr freundlich, nett, mega lustig und hatten sichtlich Spaß an ihrer Arbeit - schnelles, transparentes, durchgeplantes und kundenorientiertes Arbeiten - jederzeit lustige Sprüche parat 😉 und gehen auf Fragen ein - mehr als 7 versch. Soßen vorhanden und selbst dosierbar (Geschmack sehr gut) - Pommes knusprig, gut gesalzen und heiß (gute Portion für eine Person) - vegane Currywurst (leicht scharf) war okay - normale Currywurst lecker! (leicht scharf) - unterschiedliche Schärfegrade möglich & werden erfragt - Verpackungen sind gut zu transportieren und handlich

Ich bin treuer Currywurst Fan von Pommes Freunde. Die Samurai Sauce zur Currywurst ist der Hammer. Nur das Personal geht leider in der Bayerstraße gar nicht. Mal davon abgesehen, dass sie in ihrer Muttersprache abschätzend über Kunden reden, verstehen sie aus folgenden Gründen nicht, was man bestellt und das ging nicht nur mir so: Erstens ist die Musik aus den Loudspeakern im Truck viel zu laut. Könnte man ja leiser machen. Aber auf diese Idee könnte das Personal auch mal selbst kommen. Tun sie aber nicht. Zweitens wird die akustische Herausforderung auch noch verstärkt, dass derjenige, der mit dem Kunden kommuniziert, In-Ear Kopfhörer trägt. Wieso? Diese Kassenkraft sollte sich mal von PF Personal im OEZ, vor allem das superfreundliche, sehr kundenorientierte Kassenpersonal, eine Scheibe abschneiden.

Although the food was good and they had nice vegetarian options, it took them 40 min to make my vegetarian currywurst. Many people that arrived after me got their food and I ended up having to run to my train to make it since this quick stop for food took so long.

Einfach nur geil! Netter Mitarbeiter an der Kasse und sehr gute und vorallem große Portion Süßkartoffelpommes bekommen! Ich habe in meinem Leben schon viele Süßkartoffelpommes gegessen und diese waren nahezu perfekt! Preis-Leistung passt auf jeden Fall für München und an dem Standort.

Had a veggie cheese burger with french fries and still water for 13.30€, the restaurant is worked out of a make shift food truck. Located in front of München Hbf. The burger was tasty but must be consumed immediately when its hot.

Nettes Personal und praktische Lage

Oben die Pommes Freunde sind so lecker nettes Personal

Personal spricht leider wie in allen Münchner Filialen wenig bis kaum deutsch. Verständigung ist somit schwierig, wenn es über eine normale Bestellung hinausgeht. Es gibt im Hbf 2 Filialen: eine draußen vor dem Hbf (Bayerstrasse) und eine im Zwischengeschoss Richtung S-Bahn. Letztere ist eigtl ganz gut - bis jetzt keine Probleme und gute Portionen. Die Filiale an der Oberfläche ist leider weniger gut. Saucen sind oftmals leer, Bestellungen werden verwechselt (rote/weiße Currywurst, dicke/dünne Pommes) und der DB Mitarbeiter Rabatt wird manchmal nicht verrechnet, da das Personal nicht weiß, wie das geht. Beim letzten Besuch wurden die Scheiben / Theke über den Currywürsten mit Glasreiniger gereinigt… Lecker, Currywurst mit Glasreiniger-Aroma. Da vergeht einem schnell der Appetit.
