It's all very cramped and loud.

Plaka is and will remain our favorite restaurant when we want to eat good Greek food. Today, for my husband's birthday, we were even able to reserve a table at short notice and received very friendly service. We'd gladly come back anytime. We highly recommend it! 👍

It used to be better when the senior owner was still there. The menu has been drastically reduced. The salad no longer has pepperoni or olives. Plus, it was a bit soggy. We had to pay extra for the ouzo afterwards (at least we did). Others didn't. It seems to depend on personal preference. The junior owner is running the place into the ground with minimal cost-cutting. What a shame...

We came here on the recommendation of a colleague of my husband's, without a reservation. We were lucky; the place was full after us...and that was in the middle of the week :) Super friendly and attentive staff, fantastic starters, and a very, very tasty main course. Our son also rated the dessert as "very good." We were full after the main course :) If we're ever in Bremen again, we'll definitely come back because not only did we enjoy the food, but the atmosphere was also great! Thank you so much!

We spent a few days in Bremen and had dinner at this restaurant. To be honest, we were a bit disappointed with the food. The fish platter didn't live up to our expectations. Unfortunately, it wasn't tasty. The restaurant was small and very noisy.

Three of us were there for a business dinner on a Saturday evening. Unfortunately, it was impossible to have a conversation because it was so loud. You either had to shout internal information across the table so the person sitting at the small table across from you could hear you, or you couldn't hear anything at all. It was definitely too loud. The portions were manageable – the salad was very small. In my opinion, there was definitely too little tzatziki for two souvlaki skewers for a Greek restaurant. The portions were otherwise manageable. I've seen much larger ones for the same price. After half an hour, we were finished and left – unfortunately, sitting comfortably together or having a quiet meal was out of the question. I still had two fries on my plate when the waiter came over to clear away – I didn't like that. P.S.: When we were paying, the waitress sitting right next to my companion didn't even understand that we wanted to tip or how much – it was so loud. Otherwise, it was very tasty.

We went there for dinner on Saturday evening and were absolutely thrilled. The service is very good and very attentive. You can immediately tell that it's a family business. The food tastes excellent and the prices are more than reasonable. We'll be happy to come back next time we're in the area. This restaurant is highly recommended.

I can only agree with the other reviews about the fast, friendly service, and the friendly staff who give you a very warm welcome. For the meal, I personally would have preferred a small Greek farmer's salad instead of the coleslaw. I've seen larger portions at other Greek restaurants. Due to the tight seating and our Saturday evening visit, it was very noisy, so we decided to forgo dessert.

Definitely the best Greek food in Bremen! We've rarely been so impressed by a restaurant visit! A small restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and partitions between the tables. A great idea – you have a private meal. Top-notch service from the friendly owner himself! We felt very comfortable. The food was simply magnificent! We never thought an appetizer plate alone could delight us so much! High-quality meat with excellent seasoning, fresh grilled vegetables, and baked feta cheese were simply a delight, absolutely excellent food and reasonable prices. We're already looking forward to our next time...

We were looking for a good Greek restaurant in Bremen that serves soup and Plaka was the right choice. We were fortunate to get there before 18 o'clock and get a table without having a reservation. After that hour there was always a line of people waiting for a table. They all didn't seem to mind the wait, a clear sign that they knew it was worth it. We were impressed by that. We found the restaurant unexpectedly small for Bremen, but later reading about it I understood that is bigger than what we saw. You have to climb some narrow stairs just after you enter, in order to get to a room where the bar and tables are. But the atmosphere inside is so warm that you will for sure find your cosy space to eat. The food was absolutly delicious. We had three of the five types of soupes they served and they were all delicious and they came with a side of cabbage salad. We reccomend the onion soup. It was a revelation. We enjoyed the complimentary Ouzo even though we are not drinkers. It was served extremely cold and trying it really completed the Greek restaurant experience. The Souvlaki and the Tzatziki are a must at Plaka. They are delicious and the portions are big. So don't be shy to ask to take the leftovers home and also enjoy it later. We were sad to be so full and not be able to enjoy their desserts. But we are planning to return ... the Plaka experience is that good! Fun Fact: our daughter ordered a dish she saw pictured here in a review from 6 years ago and she was served exactly that. It looked exactly the same and the taste was what she had imagined. 5 stars for consistency in quality.

Great Greek restaurant, would go back.

Four of us spontaneously went there for dinner during the week. We were able to get a seat, but I recommend making a reservation in advance. The restaurant is relatively small and suitable for groups of 4-8 people. The food was very good. All the meat was well-cooked and not dry or tough. The menu is balanced and not overly extensive. The selection of dishes is absolutely fine. We ordered a variety of dishes, from warm appetizers to grilled platters, and were very satisfied and full. The staff is very friendly, approachable, and accommodating, regularly asking if there are any other requests or if everyone is satisfied. The restaurant is brightly decorated, with white, ornate walls, and has a modern feel without neglecting the "Greek touch." Of course, they also serve the obligatory ouzo before and after your meal. Tip: Decline the ouzo after your meal and ask for an "apple strudel shot" instead. ;)

We recently ate here. It took a while to take our drink orders. The food itself was good, but there was too little tzatziki for the amount of meat. When we pointed this out, we were told that this is how it's always done here and offered to order more tzatziki for €4.50. The extra portion is probably always included in the price, otherwise the meat would be too dry. The noise level was extremely loud, more like a train station concourse. Conclusion: The food was good, but we won't go there again.

Definitely worth a visit! The atmosphere is very cozy and lovingly furnished. There were 13 of us and we ordered and got a table 15 minutes in advance without any problems. Staff was super friendly and attentive. And accordingly the food was definitely worth 5 stars. Price-performance is great. An appetizer plate with gyros far exceeded our expectations. The Greek beer (Mythos) went perfectly with this. We'll definitely come back.

we had reservations for women's day. I had invited guests who came from the Czech Republic. Despite having a table reservation, I did not receive any information that the restaurant might be closed. I heard that the place was closed due to a death (I read the information on the door when I was ready to spend time there that day). dubious treatment of the customer. the owner had our phone number.

Hy Well, I recently had dinner here with friends and I was honestly really skeptical, because so far I've only had bad experiences with snack bars and restaurants, but they were really WOW. The lovely, nice service man was so friendly. Immediately assigned us a table and executed it. Cards were brought and candles were immediately lit. Then we noticed that a piece of cutlery was missing and brought it straight away. Then the drinks came with what do you think was exactly Uzo 🥃😀. When the food came I first thought no, that this sauce with mushrooms 🍄 doesn't matter. I thought I would try it first and there were no mushrooms, it was so delicious 😋 I had a schnitzel that was super delicious and really crispy brown fries 🍟. So I can honestly and honestly recommend this shop and restaurant to everyone. Thanks Best regards Mareike

There were empty glasses on the table from start to finish. It wasn't cleared in between. And with five people at a fourth table it was even cozier with the dirty dishes. We won't come back again. Es war leider akustisch viel zu Laut,unser Tisch war für 6 Personen sehr klein mit Bänken für je 2 Personen und 2 ran gestellten Stühlen etwas lieblos! Mein Bruder und ich waren schon sehr pünktlich vor Ort und saßen schon ca.15 min dort bevor unsere Freunde kamen es kam kein Kellner und fragte ob wir schon etwas zu trinken haben möchten! Als unsere Freunde kamen tat sich auch erstmal ca.15 min nix! Dann kam der Kellner ,und fragte das erstemal nach etwas über einer halben Stunde nach, ohne Guten Abend zu sagen was wir Essen wollen! Ich weiß ja nicht wie Ihr das seht aber ich finde das geht gar nicht ! Wir hatten auch schon mal einen Tisch unten bei der Dame und das lief deutlich besser!

The food was very poor: souflaki half burnt, Bauernsalat with spins was ok but the salad was very thick. As an accompaniment, fries and not rice... it doesn't do justice to Greek food. I'm not going back there.

The small, yet cozy, restaurant is located on the first floor, which is difficult to reach for guests with walking difficulties. The food tastes excellent and there are enough good portions to fill you up. The staff is friendly and accommodating, even when things get hectic. We'd love to come back!

Too expensive for what you get on your plate

Had dinner in this restaurant for the first time today. Unfortunately, the food was all too salty. But the audacity was an undercooked piece of pork that should simply be put back on the grill. I marked this piece and directed to get a new one. Unfortunately, this is exactly what came back after a while. There are also rat traps/live traps and poison bait boxes right next to the benches that are easy to reach with one hand.

That's an original four-course menu, gyro plate with salad, a glass of wine and an ouzo (as a welcome)...... the whole thing (including tip) for a mere €20. Today 7 months later the same menu costs €21 but still tasty and still good value for money.

When we were in Bremen, we trusted Google and followed the many positive reviews. That was a good thing too. When we arrived at Plaka, we were allowed to sit down despite not having a reservation - the time limit of a good 90 minutes didn't bother us at all - we were happy to have gotten a seat. Drinks were taken and served very quickly, the same applies to the food, which was also very, very tasty. Price, performance, service - absolutely recommended.

The best Greek in Bremen! Everything tastes delicious and vegetarians also get their money's worth, we usually use the starters as tapas. The service is great and the seating is very comfortable! See you next time :)

Nice little Greek. The food was great with a large selection. The service was very good. The guys know how to do it. What should be emphasized is that everything went very quickly and the glass was never empty. At the beginning there was a delicious ice-cold ouzo.

I ate here for the first time today. I have to say it was great Lecler and the service was super attentive despite the full house. I will definitely come back for my next business appointments in Bremen.

The food we had just ordered to take away was absolutely miserable and inedible. Everything tasted stale and didn't look fresh at all and tasted just as bad. Dried old shrimp and fish, the breaded feta cheese was soggy and floating in the water from the salad and disgustingly old coleslaw. The supposed garlic sauce was just mayonnaise.

Für uns hat die Qualität leider etwas nachgelassen. Der Salat zum Gyros hatte weder Oliven, noch eine Peperoni. Die Portionsgröße des Gyros für den aktuellen Preis ist viel zu wenig für einen gesunden Appetit. Das Fleisch war zudem etwas trocken. Wir werden uns beim nächsten Besuch in Bremen an anders Restaurant suchen.
