Hippokrates Weserpark in Bremen

We were there for the first time today. The food was delicious; we had a doner kebab with extra meat, a large gyro plate, and a Coke. We paid €18, which is totally reasonable. The staff were very friendly, and if we're ever in Weserpark again, we'll definitely eat here again! Keep up the good work! Edit: The portions have gotten significantly smaller. What a shame! The food tasted great, though.

We went there for the first time today and we were thrilled. Very customer-friendly and very child-friendly; the little ones get to choose a candy or lollipop; my son was very happy. The food was delicious, and the portion size was very generous. I was really full after one pita. The gyro plate was very, very large and also very tasty. We'll definitely be back. 👍

I honestly don't understand all the positive reviews (maybe they just delete the negative ones?) We ordered a gyro plate and box. The fries, salad, and meat tasted absolutely nothing. I'm not saying you should throw half a kilo of spices on it, but we were genuinely surprised how they managed to make it taste so bland. On the positive side, the portions were quite large; but unfortunately, that doesn't help when it's so tasteless that after half the meal, we said we couldn't eat any more of the stuff.

We visited Weser Park for the first time today and then had Greek food at Hippokrates. The food was simply fantastic; I highly recommend it. It was delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Absolutely excellent food. Everything was fresh and very well presented. The staff was friendly. We haven't had such good gyros in a long time. The wait was absolutely reasonable for what you get. The price/performance ratio is excellent. We paid about €36 for two people, including a drink.

I happened to be in Bremen's Weserpark today when a small shop caught my eye. It became even more interesting when I watched the owner personally layer the gyro skewer – actually preparing it himself, not just putting any ready-made meat on it. That immediately piqued my interest. I initially moved on, but the impression stuck with me – so I came back later to try it myself. I deliberately ordered a simple, standard product: a gyro pita. And what can I say: I was truly pleasantly surprised! The bread was high-quality, not your average flatbread, the meat was as tender as a good steak, tasted great, and generously portioned. I've had many flatbreads in Germany, and here we have another gem: you can infuse such a simple product with so much quality. You can feel the real craftsmanship and passion that goes into it. For everything together—pita plus a drink—I paid 10 euros, and I was more than full. Absolutely fair for this quality. A clear recommendation!

We come here especially from Cuxhaven because we're served truly excellent Greek food here. The taste is fantastic. Whether it's the gyro plate, gyro burger, falafel salad, vegetarian baguette, or many other options, we can recommend all of them. And the friendly staff also deserves a special mention. We'll be back soon.

The gyro was very thickly cut, dry and bland... unfortunately the fries were completely soggy. We won't eat there again. 🤷🏻

It was disgusting and people gossip about you, it's intense

Just ordered Giros Rollo, Giros Pita and Metaxa Giros. We almost broke!! We absolutely don't like it, the sauce (Metaxa) tastes absolutely nothing like Metaxa and the Giros, tastes musty, just like the coleslaw, which is not white, it is yellowish, coleslaw from Greeks, is of course white!!! The only thing that tasted good were the cucumbers and peppers. Speak their language, look at me and laugh at me, great service..... Not!!! Never again!!!

Unfortunately there wasn't the food we would have liked. The two plates of gyros special and gyros with metaxa sauce were bad. In our opinion, the "METAXA" sauce was without Metaxa. It was just something with tomato sauce that covered all the meat. In our opinion, the worst meal we've had in a long time.

Large selection of dinner, prices appropriate for the location. Eating on site in the food area is a bit big and loud, it was fine when we were there, but there wasn't much going on there. Calamari Box for adults can be described as a rather small portion. Gyros gratinated with Metaxa tasted good, gyros were not quite as juicy and/or there was a little bit of Metaxa sauce. But the service was really nice and special requests were also gladly made.

This was the worst Greek takeaway I've ever visited. The gyro meat was so dry that you almost couldn't bite it. Supposedly tzatziki had no seasoning, no garlic either. The fries were limp. The boss wipes the walls with a cloth and then immediately starts the next meal. He seems unfriendly and too stressed. All in one... Never again!

Five stars from me. The selection is large, the prices are fair, the service is friendly and the food is prepared quickly. Since I personally eat vegetarian, I like to eat the vegetarian rollo there! It's incredibly delicious. The filling is simply great and not as unimaginative as you often experience in other restaurants. I can only recommend trying it out. I have eaten this vegetarian rollo several times and would love to come back.

Unfortunately it was the first and last time. I ordered a gyro plate with Metaxa sauce and rice. Gyros were consistently light and barely toasted. The meat itself was dry and rather fibrous, and hardly seasoned. However, the Metaxa sauce was bottomless. It had absolutely nothing to do with a Metaxa sauce. Tasted more like a tomato sauce. The rice was nothing special. However, the tzatziki and the side salads were good. For over 14 euros I expected a lot more. Since I like to eat Greek food more often, I know that you can expect much more and, above all, higher quality food for less money.

I can only recommend it. The food is great 👍 and the price is reasonable. I have to emphasize the service, particularly friendly 😊.

Very, very tasty no matter what you eat

The Hippokrates in Weserpark is our absolute favorite. The dishes are always fresh, tasty and authentic. You immediately notice that there is a family with passion behind the counter. I really hope it becomes a franchise at some point so we can enjoy these delights closer to home. Until then, the trip to Weserpark is definitely worth it!

Ordered calamari box with fries, calamari were bone dry, you couldn't even pick it up with a fork, fries were only small and squishy, ​​it didn't work at all. After a complaint and a new delivery, it wasn't any better! Unfortunately, they have slackened off compared to before!

Went there on a recommendation and ordered a pita. It's crazy! The meat is nice and tender and there is no skimping on meat, tzatziki and cabbage. For me it's always worth a visit.

Today I experienced a flashback to my childhood/teenage. I rediscovered the Greek snack bar Hippokrates in Weserpark, which was previously located at Martin-Buber-Straße 4 in Bremen-Arsten. The food tastes as original as it did in the 80s and 90s. No frills, good bread, delicious, juicy, crispy gyros meat, a tzatziki that is second to none, delicious fresh onions and an excellent coleslaw - all homemade. The staff and the owner are even partly the same as back then, super friendly and in a good mood. Taverna Hippokrates gets a full five stars from me. A very clear recommendation!

It's a shame I have to leave a bad review as the staff were incredibly nice. When I picked it up, the pita bread was in the salad water and was completely soggy. The meal consisted of 95% salad and sauce. The day after there was a nice surprise: food poisoning. A pity.

We got something to eat at the Greek restaurant. Even though this is only a "to go" restaurant, the staff was very nice and the service was quick. Everything well organized. We had a small gyro plate and a special rollo. The food was very tasty and fresh. The meat was juicy and crispy. And there was really a lot on the plate. I couldn't finish the "small" gyro plate. But no problem, the leftovers were easily packed up to take away. I would like to visit Hippocrates again when we are in the Weserpark again. Thumbs up!

The snack bar used to be in Kattenturm. It was in a nicer location and it was more relaxed to eat or pick up something there than in the Weser Park Food Court. It's just way too crowded there, especially on weekends. But the food is still as good as it used to be.

Bardzo dobra grecka kuchnia, wszystko podawane niezwykle szybko,porcje są na prawdę duże a cały personel jest niezwykle przyjazny.

Ich habe wirklich lange in Bremen nach einem guten Griechen gesucht und hier endlich fündig geworden. Super saftig und sehr gut gewürztes Gyros. Leckeres knusprigen Brot und selbst gemachtes Zaziki runden das ganze noch ab. Hier komme ich jetzt definitiv öfter hin. Wir haben 22€ für 2 Gyrosteller mit pommes und 1 Brot dazu bezahlt. Preis Leistung ist eine 10/10 Geschmack und frische ebenfalls eine 10. Definitiv zu empfehlen.

Das kann kaum ein griechisches Restaurant bieten. Absolut empfehlenswert. Das Essen ist ohne Ausnahme immer lecker mit allem was dazu gehört. Seit Hippokrates im Weserpark ist gehen wir nur noch dort essen wenn es griechisch sein soll. Fleisch und Beilagen immer top. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und man geht auch auf individuelle Wünsche ein. Absolut Spitze.

Zum ersten Mal bei Hippokrates habe ich ein Gyros Pita gegessen. Circa eine Stunde vor Betriebsschluss war leider nur der Salat und das Brot etwas, das mich überzeugen konnte. Salat war frisch und das Brot war gut geröstet und hatte einen schönen Biss. Und der Rest? Das Fleisch war sehr fein auf dem Spieß geschichtet, war dunkel und sah eher nach Döner aus. Der typische Gyros Geschmack fehlte völlig. Das Fleisch schmeckte eher nach nix und war wenig gewürzt, um gegen das Tzazik anzukommen. Im Biss war es zu fein und wirklich krosse Anteile hatte ich auch nicht. Dieses Ess-Erlebnis hat mich echt nicht überzeugt und war aus meiner Sicht das Geld nicht wert.

Gyros sehr klein geschnitten, mit Gabel aufspießen nur am Anfang möglich. Geschmack super. Ohne Zwiebel bestellt, mit Zwiebel bekommen.

Lecker Essen mit guter Auswahl. Freundlicher Service.
