Recently, the quality of service in Tomato has improved a lot. Food was good anyway, as always. The Tomato is now again an address where we like to eat Italian food. I hope that in winter the quality of service does not go back to the level that existed there until the summer of this year (to be precise, until the opening of the Cortina ice cream parlor).

Die Tomate is an Italian restaurant in the city center of Fulda and offers a menu that you would normally expect in Italian restaurants. The guest room is rather small and only averagely equipped. Furthermore, conversations at the table are often accompanied by a high level of background noise. Which is why we made deductions from the ambience. The dishes are tasty; The prices are in the middle segment, which is completely fine and represents a good price/performance ratio. The Tomato has now developed into a scene and trendy meeting place where the landlord still speaks very warmly to the guests. I liked it, you could also sit at some tables in front of the restaurant. We had garlic bread, a pizza, the penne with broccoli and the pasta with asparagus. Everything was freshly prepared, served quickly and served with friendliness. Therefore, the tomato can also be clearly recommended for hungry visitors to the city of Fulda.

The waiter was super friendly and there was also a snow-white tablecloth for outside. We really liked that. The pizzas were delicious. Only the salad 🥗 wasn't for my taste at all. Balsamic vinegar alone is not enough. But what really bothered me was the price for a large drink. Guys, that's not acceptable in my opinion. Too bad, stars lost 😞

At 10:50 p.m. no more food is made. Why is it open until 11:30 p.m. Change your opening hours to 10:30 p.m. if you don't want to work after that and do the cooking. Only in Fulda something like that.

Best pizza in Fulda, we ate here regularly before we emigrated, the pizza here is outstanding. However, it has to be mentioned that the drinks prices were still ok for us at that time. 6.80 for apple juice, for example, isn't possible at all, the only option is pizza to take away.

This evening we were at the Tomate restaurant for the first time 🍅. We were greeted unfriendly by two service staff and apparently the boss, asking if we had already made a reservation. Of course we hadn't, the shop was empty. We thought about whether we should go back, but unfortunately we didn't. A spaghetti carbonara was ordered, which consisted of 100% cheap cream. Beforehand, the waiter was asked whether the carbonara was made in a real Italian way with eggs, and he was told yes. Which, however, was not the case. The pepperoni pizza consisted of 80% cheese and a minimal amount of tomato sauce. All in all, you probably would have gotten a better pizza and a better carbonara at a kebab shop. The atmosphere is terrible and you feel like you're sitting on other guests' laps. No warm service, everything was loveless. Furthermore, as if everything wasn't bad enough, the table and the glasses were in a questionable hygienic condition. I also think the price of €7.50 for a 0.7L bottle of water is outrageous, but it was good the first and last time. I would like to give it a -2 out of 5. And this store will never see me again. I hope you take this criticism to heart.

Pizza was quite good. Salad, yeah. Drink prices absolutely crazy. We almost fell off our chairs. For a Cola Zero (recorded as Spezi on the receipt) and an apple spritzer that had no fizz (recorded as apple juice) - 0.4L each €5.80 and €6.20 respectively. So with all understanding regarding the price increases of the last few months/years. That's too much of a good thing. I almost have to say it's audacious. The placement of guests in the restaurant was also a bit questionable. The whole store was empty and other guests were seated right next to us, which simply didn't have to be the case.

I was in Fulda for a business meeting and met two business partners in the Tomato. It is an Italian restaurant which consists of a combined dining room and kitchen. Therefore the space is very limited. The furnishings (tables/chairs/toilet) are also very simple and antiquated. Due to the narrow space, the background noise is also very high, which was a bit tiring for the conversations at the table. The food and service were very good and attentive. I had tomato soup and pasta with broccoli, the others ate pizza. The pizza bread was also exquisite and highly recommended. Since the Tomato is ideally located in the city center, it was also easy to get there on foot. A good recommendation for anyone who is a guest in Fulda and doesn't place excessive demands on the ambience.

In my opinion, the pizzas are the best in Fulda 👏🏼 and pasta dishes are also recommended. I personally really like the simple interior design. It is harmonious and comfortable. What doesn't work at all is the harsh, sometimes unfriendly manner of a waiter, which we have encountered several times. What is something like that!? Incomprehensible and very unfortunate.

Das Essen ist gut, aber habe auch schon besser gegessen. Der Service sachlich aber freundlich. Das Ambiente urig, die eine Ecke oder die andere könnten ein wenig frische Farbe vertragen, eher Imbiss Charakter durch die offene Küche. Trotzdem gut gegessen u d zufrieden gegangen, Trinkgeld gabs auch 🙂

Der Service war nett und das Essen war auch okay. Ich möchte den Laden auch keineswegs schlecht machen aber ich denke die Fotos sprechen für sich . Bitte in Zukunft auf sauberes Geschirr achten und wie das Essen angerichtet wird. Auch allgemein auf die Sauberkeit des Restaurants achten

Wir waren heute das erste Mal in der Tomate 🍅 essen und waren begeistert. Ein super leckeres Essen.

Wer authentisch italienisch essen möchte ist hier an der richtigen Adresse. Das Essen kam relativ schnell nach der Bestellung und war preislich im Rahmen. Die Nudeln mit Lachs waren gut. Die Pizzen hatten jedoch für unseren Geschmack zu wenig Tomatensoße und zu viel Käse, wodurch sie sehr fettig waren. Dadurch konnte ich leider nur 2 Stücke essen, was sehr schade war. Aber das ist nun mal Geschmacksache und kommt drauf an wie fit die Galle ist 😅 Die Caprese zur Vorspeise war etwas enttäuschend, da es wirklich nur Mozzarella, Tomaten & Olivenöl waren und wir hatten zumindest etwas Gewürz oder Balsamico darauf erwartet. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und generell war die Atmosphäre im Restaurant sehr angenehm. Das WC war sauber, jedoch gab es keine Tücher mehr zum Hände abtrocknen.

Zufällig in Fulda gewesen und hier eine Pizza und einen Salat gegessen. Das ist eine der besten Pizzen gewesen, die wir je gegessen haben! Ambiente authentisch italienisch, kleines, rustikales Lokal mit guten Preisen und einfach ein mega Essen + Service mit vielen Gästen auch zum Abholen. 5 Sterne absolut verdient!

Eine typische italienische Trattoria mit sehr guter Küche und gutem Service. Unbedingt auf die Tagesgerichte achten.

Sehr unfreundlicher Chef! Planlose Bedienung! Trotz Reservierung mussten wir mehr als 45 Minuten warten, bis wir bedient wurden. Traurig!!! Das Essen war ok, wurde schnell serviert. Zahlung dauert dann nochmals über 30 Minuten. Musste hier mehrmals Nachfragen. Bezahlung war nur an der Theke möglich. Achtung: Nur Bargeldzahlung möglich!!! Ein Unding in der heutigen Zeit!

Rustikal aber gemütlich, ideal um Freunde zu treffen und einen schönen Abend zu verbringen. Hier bedient der Chef auch noch selbst und hat Zeit für einen kleinen Plausch. Die Speisen sind authentisch und schmecken entsprechend lecker. Ein Hauch Italien mitten in Fulda. Wenn wir da sind, immer wieder gerne.

Dieses Jahr definitiv meine schlimmste Restauranterfahrung. Gruseliger und unfreundlicher Empfang; musste mich umsetzen, obwohl das komplette Restaurant leer war. Die Herren haben mich während des gesamten Essens der restlos versalzenen Cannelloni angestarrt, um mich, kaum, dass ich fertig war, kollektiv zu ignorieren. Musste also am Tresen bezahlen, sieben Euro für eine Saftschorle. Ich hoffe, ich kriege keine Alpträume von der Nummer ^^

Toll dort. Sehr gute Pizza in passendem Retro-Ambiente. Lasagne war ohne Béchamel. Leider keine Kartenzahlung möglich.

Meiner Meinung nach macht die Tomate die besten Pizzas in Fulda. Geschmacklich nur schwer zu toppen und preislich im Rahmen. Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber auf jeden Fall interessant.

Sehr familiär und lecker, nicht so Mainstream und eher schlicht und genau deshalb sehr Italienisch. Komme immer wieder gerne hierher.

An sich hat das Essen gut geschmeckt aber die Preise im Internet stimmen nicht mit den im Laden überein und wir mussten 10€ mehr zahlen zusätzlich hatte ich noch ein Haar in meinem Essen was echt eklig ist

Wir waren zu einem Kurzurlaub in Fulda. Das Lokal liegt etwas abseits der belebten Innenstadt in einer Wohngegend. Im Lokal fühlt man sich wie in Italien. Einfach aber authentisch. So auch das Essen - sehr lecker mit frischen Zutaten gekocht wie bei Mamma. Es herrscht dort eine freundliche, gemütliche Atmosphäre mit angenehm ruhigem und freundlichem Personal.

Die beste Holzofenpizza in Fulda.

Waren mit 7 Personen, hatten vorbestellt!!! Die verschiedenen, von uns bestellten Gerichte, waren alle super lecker. Bedienung sehr schnell und originell. Der Laden ist hip, italienisch und sehr zu empfehlen! Grazie mille.

Typisch italienische Atmosphäre. Toll. Der Chef und seine Mannschaft arbeiten souverän, authentisch und herzlich. Das Essen ist sehr gut und das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt absolut. Schade, dass wir ein so angenehmes Restaurant nicht in Hildesheim haben.

Sehr guter Italiener. Gibt es schon ewig in Fulda. Wer autentisch italienische Essen will ist hier genau richtig.

Wir waren etwas enttäuscht. Der Chef ziemlich unfreundlich, das Restaurant und besonders die Toiletten unsauber, der Koch genervt obwohl wir die einzigen Gäste waren. Das Essen und auch der Wein nicht wirklich gut. Keine Weiterempfehlung

Ein kleines italienisches Restaurant im Herzen von Fulda. Lage sehr zentral mit einer reichhaltigen Auswahl an Speisen, von der klassischen Pizza bis zu den typischen Nudelngerichten. Der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. Gerne kommt man wieder.
