Pizzeria & Snackbar Restaurant Ciao Ciao in Heringsdorf

I ordered bruschetta and tortellini—what could you possibly go wrong at an Italian restaurant? I don't know, but neither of them tasted good. The bread was untoasted and the tomatoes were bland. The tortellini came with cheap pressed ham and a bad-tasting cream sauce. The service was good and friendly, but the food was unfortunately poor and not worth the price.

We wanted to go to a pizzeria for dinner and stopped here. We quickly found a small free table. The waiter came shortly after and took our order. He was polite with a somewhat brisk demeanor, but that didn't bother us. The drinks and the pizzas we ordered came quickly...perhaps too quickly. The pizzas weren't cooked properly, and the dough was still sticky. Water was collecting on the tuna pizza, which had a very generous topping. We ate some of our pizzas. While paying and clearing the table, we mentioned it to the waiter. He expressed his regret. And yes, we should have sent the pizzas back right away. A sign informed customers that payment was cash only. A scoundrel would think otherwise...

The coffee was quite tasty. But the "hot chocolate" was just water with cocoa powder. When we mentioned it, the waitress said, "At home I always make it with milk, but here I make it with water. Really???"

Unfriendly service! Never again!

Total mass production. The Bolognese was carelessly slopped onto the plate and completely tasteless. It had absolutely nothing to do with Italian Bolognese. Not recommended.

The ambiance was quite good, the food was okay, at the end we gave a 2 euro tip, the gentleman who served us threw the bill on the table, turned around and left... no goodbye or nice day, probably he was used to different tips, an absolute no-go... we will not go there again

My husband and I went there with no expectations, and unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. We both come from the restaurant industry and are therefore good judges of what's good and what's not, and the food there was terrible. My husband had a pizza that was completely burnt on the bottom, and my "carbonara" was just pasta with curdled egg (protein) and no flavor. We then told the waitress about it, and it was quickly apparent that they weren't happy with it. I wouldn't recommend it.

Bella Italia on the sunny island of Schmusedom. Great location. Friendly, on-the-go staff. Then came the food. Incredibly delicious bruschetta... We were asked when we'd like the main course after the starter. When we gave the green light, mussels, calamari, pizza, and pasta arrived quite quickly. Everything was delicious. We were also warned about the spicy pasta beforehand, but it was also good and tasty for those who like it spicy. We were a group of adults and had a wonderful evening overlooking the sea. You can tell that a true Italian heart still beats here, and guests are pampered with Italian charm. We'd be happy to go back to Cio Cio. PS: Tip: If you're really full, order a warm Fernet Branca...

I think they forgot to add oil to salad as part of dressing and the vinegar was minimal. The pizza was good though.

The food was delicious, the best pizza I've ever eaten. The service was excellent, and everything was very quick. The kids' schnitzel with fries was just the right size. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommended.

The coffee and cake were okay. The ice cream wasn't so tasty. There were no restrooms in the restaurant; the waitress told us to use the public restrooms.

I was there for the first time two years ago and was thrilled. I visited again with high expectations – unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The waitress kept walking past us until we loudly called for attention. The pizza we ordered was reminiscent of "Dr. Oetker"... small, only partially topped with the desired topping, raw dough in the middle, and the pizza chef then emptied the garlic bottle over it... unfortunately, a solid 6. The attention of the waitress assigned to us was also not great. I wanted to call the restaurant to get the bill – but my wife stopped me. All in all, a disappointing experience.

So we arrived and smelled the pizza, so we immediately turned around and ordered. We really can't recommend the salami pizza in terms of taste. The service was great. The beer was warm and not carbonated, but the waitress was very accommodating and swapped our beer for us, which we thought was very nice.

The location appears very nice at first glance, but is ultimately unattractive, as it's far too crowded due to the through traffic to the pier. The pizza is standard fare. Our comment about the poor quality of the pizza was noted, but resulted in no further action. Customer-oriented dining definitely looks different. The service was generally friendly, but you should still check the receipt before paying, which, by the way, is only possible in cash. It does happen that you're charged for food or drinks you didn't even order or eat.

Pizzeria Ciao Ciao is located directly in front of the pier in Heringsdorf. However, its seemingly attractive location is marred by the fact that the dining area is cut through by the busy path to the pier. This makes the ambiance seem restless and uninviting. The service was rather superficial and disinterested, which further detracts from the overall impression. The pizza tasted okay at best, but the size was below average. The pricing for drinks was a negative: Large soft drinks are not listed on the menu. A 0.4-liter Coke cost €6.20 – an unpleasant surprise and hardly understandable given the price of the product. Furthermore, payment is only accepted in cash, which seems neither contemporary nor particularly service-oriented these days. All in all, the negatives clearly outweigh the negatives, making a return visit unlikely.

I happened to pass by this pizzeria and saw the delicious pizzas on the plates. We went there five times during our summer vacation this year; the pizzas are world-class, very tasty, and definitely recommended.

A really good pizza. I sat down without any great expectations and was not disappointed. The crust was crispy and fluffy at the end. The pizza itself had a good flavor, and overall, they serve a wide variety of dishes. The only complaint I could make is the weather, but that's not the restaurant's fault. The food didn't take long at all, so all I can say is: Top-notch, or as my grandmother said: "You can't complain!" All in all, my recommendation if you want a nice meal.

Very good service, lots of interaction with guests, and a beautiful view of the sea. It was very busy, but the food came very quickly. Simply perfect.

This Italian restaurant is located at the beginning of the pier. From the windows, you can catch a glimpse of the Baltic Sea. The staff is friendly, and the food is good. You can even watch the pizza chef at work. I find the drinks quite expensive: a 0.5-liter Coke costs around €6. What's really starting to annoy me, especially at foreign restaurants, is the refusal to accept credit or debit cards. If three people go out to eat and quickly spend €50 or more... are you supposed to constantly carry around a pile of cash? Please, finally get into the 21st century!

The pizza and pasta were difficult to enjoy. The service was nice. But what good is that if the food isn't good!

We ate there. The pizza was way too small, but OK (nothing special). I wanted to leave more money, but that wasn't possible since they only accepted cash payments.

When we arrived, three employees simply stared at us and ignored us. Only one waitress was nice to us, and she seemed to be the one who worked the hardest. The food was so messed up that my pizza had almost no cheese on it, and it was only half cooked. Avoid this place at all.

We were very hungry and decided to stop by for pizza — and it was a great decision 😍They brought everything to us quickly, and the pizza turned out to be really tasty. I took the cheese one — it was chewy, aromatic, exactly what I wanted. My boyfriend chose the Hawaiian one with pineapples, and was satisfied. The waiters were smiling, polite, it was nice to talk to them. We sat outside — the sun was warm, a warm breeze blew from the sea… The lunch turned out to be very atmospheric and cozy. We will definitely come again! ☀️

I was there for dinner and ordered a pizza. Even though it wasn't busy, it took quite a while for anyone to come. The pizza arrived fairly quickly, but it was only mediocre—a slightly doughy base, rather small, and nothing special in terms of taste. Honestly, I expected more. Payment was only possible in cash, which is just not appropriate in a tourist destination. The staff was friendly, but not particularly attentive.

Every time we're in Heringsdorf, we eat at least one pizza there, which is truly delicious. It's also relatively quick. The staff is plentiful and very friendly, and quick. It's nice to sit outside and watch the people passing by. The other dishes served to other guests always look delicious, too. The portion sizes are perfectly adequate, and the prices are the usual and reasonable.

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right here...the pizza was far too small for the price and the lasagna was tasteless...no toilets in the restaurant...you had to use public toilets...very bad...only cash payments are accepted. What's wrong with that?

Very tasty. Friendly service. The staff always has a joke or a laugh on their lips. We enjoyed it so much that we ate there three times in 1.5 weeks.

Well, that was pretty tough. Spaghetti Frutti di Mare… well-intentioned, sure. But the opposite of good. It was a pasta dish no one in Italy would have dared to serve. A seafood mixture sprinkled over the pasta. Everything was swimming in a light, fishy broth; it wasn't a sauce. My neighbor at the table said it was more like a seafood soup with spaghetti. That was it.

As everywhere, no card payments accepted. Staff quite unfriendly. Food was okay. No restrooms available.

Unfortunately, I don't recommend it. The food tasted like it had just been thawed, and the lasagna was burnt. What a shame!

The worst pizza I've ever had for a lot of money👎. . We often go to Italy and are certainly spoiled with our Italian restaurants but this was abysmal. For just under 14 euros a pizza that's not even 28 cm with 3 slices of salami and not even 2 slices of ham. The dough wasn't cross-cooked. Badly seasoned and the mozzarella was of watery quality. The Frutti del Mare was dripping with oil and frozen seafood for almost 16 euros - you can get better anywhere than there. The Vino Rosso could have been a rosé wine and the glass of white wine was served with a 0.5l! But I didn't order it. Another holiday in Italy - at Mom's wouldn't do the kitchen brigade and the staff any harm - the culture and the Italian way of life and the air of fresh herbs, baked bread and the aroma of fresh seafood. All on a thin 32 cm pizza base with good products and I'm happy to pay that price. And that's a shame, it was nothing.

Very good, had one of the best meals there. Service friendly, competent and quick. If we come to Usedom again and we have an appetite for pizza 🍕 or pasta, we will definitely come by again.

The best spaghetti carbonara i’ve had in a while and best pasta in heringsdorf i’ve tried. You can only pay cash. Sitting outside is pretty windy but its nice.

We stopped here spontaneously during our vacation. We ordered a four-cheese pizza, schnitzel with fries, a calzone, and bruschetta. Of course, everyone also got a drink. To be honest, I have to admit that every dish was absolutely top-notch! The service was super friendly and very attentive. The wait time was also extremely short! The prices are comparatively low, which really surprised us. I highly recommend everyone to visit this pizzeria if they're in the area. Keep up the good work! Thumbs up!!

The atmosphere is simple, everything has to be done quickly. The lasagna I ordered was only warmed up, hot on the outside, cold on the inside. My beer glass wasn't filled properly. I wouldn't recommend this place highly enough.

The restaurant is highly recommended, great service, super friendly staff, super quality of the food and for us the Aperol was the best in all of Heringsdorf.

My girlfriend and I felt sick the next morning from the pizza because it was still raw. This gave us terrible stomach aches. We also felt like we had to eat it under pressure because the shop was closing in 45 minutes.

Cash only should have been a warning to me. The place seemed very dingy. A 0.75-liter bottle of water cost €9.00, which is too expensive for the atmosphere. The food was OK, but nothing special. The wine, supposedly Valpolicella, was too expensive. I got the Averna in a Ramazzotti glass, which was OK, but 2 cl instead of 4 cl for over €5.00 is outrageous. I should have looked at the menu, but who expects that? What's even more shocking was that they charged extra for the grated cheese I got with my spaghetti, which was definitely not Parmesan. I've never experienced anything like that before. On top of that, the place doesn't even have its own restrooms, and when I needed to relieve myself, I had to use the communal ones. In my opinion, that's pure rip-off.

Our pizzas and bruschetta were delicious! The service was also friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, since the weather wasn't that pleasant, you could only sit inside. It was very narrow there and there were only a few seats. However, the view of the Baltic Sea is very beautiful! We would definitely recommend the restaurant and eat there again!

The quality of the food was okay. The prices would be reasonable if the portions were adjusted. The pizza is at most the size of a children's pizza. The lasagne dazzles the eye through the large, deep plate. However, it is actually half filled with sauce. All in all, not enough for the money. Tastes as described 4 out of 5 stars. The service is top! Even though it was packed, service was quick and friendly! We would probably come back again if the dishes were a little more lavish.

Pizzas just ok. Ham from the JA supermarket pack! Instead of 6 pieces of bruschetta, only 5. Unfortunately, I noticed too late because I ordered away from home. Service was friendly but stressed. Two was probably not enough.

We ate there twice again on our April vacation! My little one likes it there a lot! We visit the restaurant every time we are on Inesl! Very nice service, food plentiful and delicious! We would love to come to you!

Very expensive, the pizzas were undercooked and the dough was still "raw" in some places. Given the high prices, you could also ask for toilets. There are no toilets, you have to use the communal toilets, far away. We had the feeling that we were being asked to pay too much here. The waiter was very nice and attentive.

Highly recommended restaurant, where you are always welcomed in a friendly manner and the food always tastes delicious. We have been vacationing in Heringsdorf for several years and go to the restaurant here every year because we are very impressed by the food and the people.

We were there out of season, so it was very quiet. We were served quickly and the staff were very lenient with messy children. The food is not exceptional, but basically stable and okay. Big plus point: a children's menu with a selection.

We have been coming here for several years and are always more than satisfied. You are greeted warmly and served extremely quickly. No matter whether it's pizza, pasta or just a small appetizer, it's all fantastic and comes after a short time. With the best will in the world, I can't understand the bad reviews (including on other websites). We have never had anything remotely bad experiences here.

Pizza Seebrücke €15.70. All crabs with intestines. If we get it delivered, that's the answer from the waiter. Very bad answer. You get what you are willing to pay. Maximum profit on pizza but on raw materials save. Once and never again.

Tiramisu really dream. I also had the Pizza Contadina the next day and it was also very tasty. Staff very friendly. We'd love to come back.

We were there with 6 people. The pizzas were very tasty, we all enjoyed them very much and the pasta + salad were also delicious. We didn't have to wait long for drinks and food, even though the restaurant was almost completely full. Priced totally fair. Nice atmosphere, fast and good service. The staff is very attentive, friendly and always available to help without being intrusive. You can tell that people work here who love their work. We will definitely come back.

The bad reviews are absolutely incomprehensible to me and simply outrageous. We were here this evening on September 13th, 2024, the restaurant was well attended, the waiter greeted us in a friendly manner, accompanied us to the table, the order was placed a short time later, drinks came very quickly, the food followed a little later, food and drinks were very good and plenty, something to please the eye, hot and fresh, payment was quick in cash of course, because only cash is commodity. Everything was very clean and tidy, nice friendly staff, we really liked it here. We can only recommend this place with all our hearts.

Visit: August 17th 18:30 - We were hungry and didn't want to look around much, so we accepted the standard we got, which was a little below average. Cappuccino was more milky latte. Tiramisu was an overly sugary lump of buttery cream with a slight cocoa taste, pizza was small, dinner plate sized, fat crust, but quite thin bottom, marinara was a thin and almost tasteless smear of tomato sauce, prosciutto tasted more like conserve ham, paid 25 euros (cash accepted exclusively), coffee was nice, service was friendly and genial.

You can do it - but you don't have to. Food was good, but nothing more. The view is beautiful, the waiters are quick and friendly. The drinks are completely overpriced.

Unfortunately, the stressful mood of the staff is passed on to the guests and the entire restaurant; in the evening it's a matter of one thing at a time, or in other words, mass processing. I ordered a vegetarian lasagna and got vegetable noodles instead. It could also have been a misunderstanding. I kindly offered to keep the dish anyway, but said that I was actually really looking forward to the vegetarian lasagna. Waiter Michal complained loudly in front of the other guests that I would definitely have ordered the vegetable noodles. It made me so uncomfortable that I lost my appetite. I don't want to be treated like that. From nobody. In many other restaurants the food I wanted would have been brought to me without a word. No recommendation, not even for the pasta and pizza we had.

The food (one pizza 🍕, one pasta 🍝) was completely fine and appropriate for the price. I haven't eaten so cheaply in a long time, but it really tasted really good. The service was almost outrageously brisk, we could barely look at the cards in peace before he was standing next to us again. Asked for a moment, he came back after a minute, obviously impatient (and we should notice that too). That made things a little ugly. If you don't mind, you can eat well and cheaply there. It seems a bit strange that there doesn't seem to be a customer toilet in this restaurant; the guests were all sent under the pier to the public toilets.
