Pizzeria La Posta in Bad Steben

Best pizzeria in the world! I get my favorite food there, which I can't get anywhere else. Everywhere else I order it, I just get weird looks. Pizza topped with pasta and Gorgonzola cheese. I always celebrate my cheat day here :)

Good prices, but the food was awful. I have no idea what I got, but it certainly wasn't a pizza. More like a cross between bruschetta and tarte flambée. Unfortunately, I also got the wrong one because the waiter communicated using the menu numbers. I thought "30" meant the diameter of the pizza. My colleague's lasagna was also more of a lumpy mess, and of course, the typical terrible syrup-flavored soft drink was included. Otherwise, everything was alright. If the good chefs weren't on vacation, I'd look for really good ones. With such a nice location, they could easily move up a few leagues.

Review for La Posta: Last week, we reserved a table for 15 people for Monday – right at the start of the week. When we arrived, we placed our order. I ordered number 79 – a large pizza with seven shrimp – which unfortunately had very few toppings. Afterwards, we wanted to order tiramisu. Suddenly, we were told there wasn't enough. The one tiramisu we did receive was also warm – apparently defrosted, because there was nothing fresh left. Furthermore, the tables in the restaurant were very close together – you were sitting almost directly next to the other guests, which unfortunately made the experience rather uncomfortable. I don't quite understand this: If you reserve a table for a larger group a week in advance, especially at the beginning of the week, surely enough should be prepared. This is particularly true if the restaurant is regularly frequented by clinic and rehabilitation patients. Furthermore, the tables in the restaurant were very close together – you were sitting almost directly next to the other guests, which unfortunately made the experience rather unpleasant. On top of that: I wanted to order something from the meat menu, but we were told that these dishes weren't currently available because they were short-staffed 😳 So, unfortunately, this isn't worth a 5-star rating for me. Even 1 star is too much.

Waited over an hour for the pizza, then there was more dough than topping, never again.

The homemade tortelloni are fantastic! Attentive and very friendly service and fair prices. Reservations are recommended! We regret that we were here on vacation and the journey from home is definitely too far....

Probably the best choice for an Italian restaurant in Bad Steben, but be sure to make a reservation on weekends and be prepared to wait. The lasagna tasted better than it looks, but the appearance could be improved ;)

Centrally located. Outdoor seating available. Reservations recommended as it gets very busy. The food was delicious, and the service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is reasonably priced.

It was very crowded, and the waiters were a bit overwhelmed. The food was tasty, but just like an Italian restaurant.

When we arrived and explained that we had reserved online, they raised eyebrows - "they don't know anything online." They did find our reservation after all, and we sat down in the garden. When we looked at the menu, we were initially confused - the pizzas are all named after the toppings, which was totally confusing and impractical. Then the drama began: you have to pay a three-euro surcharge for a stone-baked pizza (otherwise it's baked in a pan!) 🤌 After ordering, we waited over 1.5 hours (!!!) for our four pizzas. My (stone-baked deluxe) pizza tasted average and had 2.5 anchovies on it. The "warm Gorgonzola" had simply been thrown into a pan, left to its fate, and then sprinkled with three arugula leaves. There was no trace of focaccia bread. In terms of taste, the whole thing was an absolute disaster. One person's ordered side salad was completely forgotten, and the waiter ended up miscalculating the bill, and "coincidentally" the surcharges for "stone oven" and "gluten-free" (€3 each per pizza) weren't included. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a scoundrel ◼️ I can only advise you to steer clear of "La Posta" 👎

The pizza is very small. The small pizza is more like a piccolini. The extra charge for a stone oven isn't appropriate for an Italian restaurant; it should be a given. Service is slow and inattentive. Desserts are good.

Very fine tortellini in a ham and cream sauce... and with the wood-fired pizza bread, it's a truly delicious dish! Top 👍🍀

There were three of us there. Our drinks were empty. We weren't even asked for more. One dish arrived 10 minutes late. It's a shame when you want to eat as a family. A side salad arrived after we were finished. The staff weren't sympathetic to the discontent. It's a shame.

We were here for dinner today. A very nice restaurant with delicious food. However, our waiter, Francesco, assigned us a very secluded table outside. I sat down and immediately got wet pants. He was completely unimpressed. We waited in vain for another drink. He kept walking past us, but skillfully ignored us. We've never experienced anything like that before.

So, the waiter, Francesco, was either having a bad day or he's always so rude to the guests. First, we arrived today and sat down at a table outside. The waiter inside said we could choose our own seating. The two of us sat at a large table because there was an awning overhead and it looked a bit like rain. Anyway, the waiter, Francesco, saw us, and we had to move. It wasn't a big deal. My husband wanted to sit down on the chair, but jumped up again right away because the chair was wet. Francesco had noticed, but there was no reaction from him to get a cloth or rag. My husband had to dry his chair himself with a tissue. Then we quickly ordered, because the waiter, F., didn't really give us time for the menu. Then the drinks arrived, and I was thirsty, so my glass was empty in no time. Francesco walked past us more than once, even looking at my empty glass, but he didn't even bother to come to the table and ask if he could bring me anything else, as one might expect elsewhere. The atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious. But Francesco left a lot to be desired.

The restaurant staff seemed very chaotic and stressed to me as soon as I arrived. I sat down outside and was completely ignored. They overlooked me several times, so I went inside to get a menu myself. Because I was overlooked, other people were served before me, even though they arrived later. I don't think that's right at all. My drink arrived after 15 minutes, and I asked for a cushion to sit on because the chairs outside are really uncomfortable. Another lady brought it to me after about 25 minutes. When there was still no food on the table after almost 45 minutes and I asked, I was told "it could take another hour"... that's unbelievable, isn't it? Who waits almost 2 hours for a meal? I asked for the bill and left.

You sit in a lovely beer garden, surrounded by tubs of herbs, under awnings and cheerful umbrellas, and enjoy yourself: very professional service and (to our absolute delight) a great menu with lots of homemade pasta. Super delicious and truly highly recommended! Thank you so much!😋🙏

Seven of us ate there. It was quite tasty, but the food was served very staggered. By the time the first person had finished eating, three of us still hadn't received anything. The last meal arrived much later, by which time almost everyone else had already finished. A few dishes were omitted from the bill, which were then added by hand.

Wir mussten eine Stunde warten, dass uns dann gesagt wurde das sie unsere Bestellung weggeworfen haben ! Nach über 90 min hatten wir dann unser Essen das ok war aber nicht gut ! Abgespeist wurden wir mit einer kleinen Flasche Wein ein Preisnachlass wurde nicht akzeptiert ! Genervtes Personal war die Spitze somit war das mein letzter Besuch und wünsche noch gutes Gelingen

Wir haben uns auf einen schönen Restaurantbesuch gefreut, mussten aber über 60 Minuten auf unser Essen warten, bis der Kellner schließlich mitteilte, dass unsere Bestellung nie an die Küche weitergeleitet wurde, da der Zettel „verloren gegangen“ sei. Als Entschädigung wurde uns ein 5,80 € Wein angeboten – bei einem so gravierenden Ablauf- und Organisationsfehler absolut unzureichend. Ein Preisnachlass oder echtes Entgegenkommen blieb leider aus. Ein einmaliger Fehler wäre ärgerlich, aber vielleicht noch zu verschmerzen. Doch ein Blick in die Google-Bewertungen zeigt deutlich: Wir sind kein Einzelfall. Die extrem langen Wartezeiten scheinen hier leider regelmäßig vorzukommen. In der Gastronomie können Fehler passieren, keine Frage. Aber wie mit diesen umgegangen wird, sagt viel über ein Haus aus – und hier fehlte es leider an Professionalität, Verantwortungsbewusstsein und Kundenorientierung. Fazit: Wer Wert auf zuverlässigen Service und einen respektvollen Umgang mit Gästen legt, sollte sich diesen Ort gut überlegen. Fehler können passieren – aber wie damit umgegangen wird, ist entscheidend. Und das war hier leider enttäuschend.

I made a reservation on behalf of my wife and was already being scrutinized... The Pizza Mare tasted of nothing, like a frozen pizza that came out of the oven too early. It was completely watery and lacking in seasoning. My sister had paid a few euros extra for her wood-fired pizza. Unfortunately, it was a bit burnt to very black, and then the waitress started arguing about it...

Wir konnten dank des schönen Wetters draußen sitzen und wurden sehr freundlich bedient! Das Essen war in Ordnung. Vielleicht sollte man doch etwas hochwertigere Tortellini verwenden. Die haben nämlich leider wie Sägemehl geschmeckt …

La Dolce Vita im Ortskern von Bad Steben 😊 Tolle abwechslungsreiche frische italienische Speisen bietet Palmiro und sein freundliches Team im modern gestalteten historischen Postamt " La Posta " an. Der charmante ruhige Innenhof lädt in lauschigen Sommerabenden zum verweilen ein. Eine ausreichende Anzahl an kostenfreien Parkplätzen ist vorhanden.

Eternal waiting times even though we pre-ordered

Ordered food for pickup. There was a long wait, and the pizza base was burnt and lacked flavor. The salad was okay.

Although this was only my third time here, I'm very satisfied with the restaurant. The pizza and spaghetti were delicious. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I felt very comfortable and would gladly come back.

It was a very busy Saturday evening, but we still managed to get a seat outside. The advertised wait time of one hour was met. The food was okay, with decent portions. It wasn't a big deal that our starter was forgotten. The staff were very friendly and efficient. There were just too few of them.

Leider wieder einmal eine Katastrophe, ( nach langer Enthaltsamkeit ) von 19:00 ab Bestellung bis 20:30 auf das Essen gewartet , Selbst der Beilagensalat kam erst nach über 1 Stunde … das Essen unterstes Mittelmaß… der Service war vollkommen überfordert.. nein Danke

We stopped in spontaneously and were lucky to get a seat in the nicely decorated restaurant without a reservation. The food was very good. For starters, we shared a bruschetta that was beautifully presented and delicious. My pizza with fresh mushrooms, salami, ham, tuna, and onions was cooked in a stone oven and was fantastic! My wife's pasta was served in a hot pan and also tasted great. A freshly tapped wheat beer and friendly service rounded off our visit to "La Posta."

Perfetto. Wir hatten heute das Glück, ohne Reservierung einen Platz zu bekommen. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich, das Essen kam etwa eine halbe Stunde nach der Bestellung. Die Senfmarinade des kleinen Salats war sehr lecker, die hausgemachten Spaghetti waren es ebenfalls. Die Pizza mit Ananas und Schinken, auf Stein gebacken, ließ keine Wünsche offen. Zur Krönung des Ganzen war das Dessert: Erdbeer-Panacotta, auf Wunsch eine Portion mit zwei Löffeln zum Teilen serviert. Kurzum: Sehr zu empfehlen.

Very friendly service. Great price. There are enough parking spaces available. Ambiance kept modern. Toilets are very clean. Portion sizes are also suitable if you are hungry. Unfortunately, the waiting times are a little longer, especially when the house is full. But that's negligible since people like to wait here :) The pizzas are large and well topped. The dough is fluffy.

Wir hatten heute, 12.April um 19:00 Uhr 2 Plätze reserviert. Waren pünktlich da und haben ca 15 Minuten später unsere Getränke, Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte bestellt. Die wurden Getränke zügig serviert. Statt dem bestellten Traubensaft wurde eine Schorle serviert. Kann ja mal passieren. Kurz nach der Beanstandung wurde rasch der Saft ausgetauscht. Um ca 20:00 Uhr wurden dann die beiden Suppen serviert. Geschmacklich o.k.! Als aber um 20:45 Uhr weder die Hauptgerichte auf dem Tisch standen, noch die Bedienung uns über den Grund der Verzögerung informierte, zahlten wir unseren bisherigen Verzehr und die Getränke und verließen schnell die ungastliche Stätte. Sie wird uns wahrscheinlich nicht mehr wiedersehen.

I went at the time they were closing, and instead of telling me we were closed, they only made me a pizza, they didn't have any other food, they told me (and I listened in pure Greek, baby, I know what she wants) it was so uncooked that I got poisoned and vomited all night...I was throwing up uncooked pieces of pasta...If you don't want it, tell me I won't give it to you, don't put people in danger...I understand that I came at the last minute and you want to go home and rest after a whole day in the kitchen but I didn't blame you for anything either...

We waited 80 minutes for our 3 pizzas

The food was good, but we had to wait over an hour and a half for the appetizer. And another 30 minutes for the main course.

The food tastes good, but you wait almost an hour and a half for your food. This procedure was repeated for the second time today. The first time we understood, but today we've been waiting 1 1/2 hours for our meal. That doesn't work at all. It's not even out of goodwill that the guests are served something to nibble on.

We've been here twice now and waited 1.5 hours each time for our food, which is very annoying because you come here hungry. There was probably only one cook there, but then I can't occupy the tables all at once because all the guests were waiting forever :-( The food is otherwise very tasty and recommended!

We hadn't made a reservation for 3 people. Even though the store was full, we were still accommodated. What we found to be borderline...we waited almost an hour and a half for the food. We would have thought it would have been good if some bread had been put on the table to tide us over... The food itself was very good, very flavorful and sufficient.

We wanted to go to La Posta for lunch on January 1st. Weeks in advance we reserved the table for 5 people by phone. When we get there at lunchtime, the restaurant is closed. Such a disappointment! Such a mistake really shouldn't happen! When we asked, we were told that there was never lunch on New Year's Day. Unfortunately that didn't help us.

Got the worst pizza of my life, something like sloppy dough and it was a stone oven pizza, had the 3/4 pizza go back, my wife had pasta with salmon, if you could say pasta, it was totally overcooked after I asked the waiter about it But next time I should say something earlier 🤣🤣We even had to pay for the two small Sambuca, what a bad restaurant, oh yes, an almost complete pizza came from the next room and a salad back. Normally not even one star

Super delicious food. I had a salad and carpaccio.The service was also good. A smile would definitely have suited the gentleman 😉. Unfortunately it is always very loud. However, that doesn't detract from the ambience or the food.

Super delicious Italian cuisine. They also offer something different than pizza and pasta, although these dishes are also top. I had sea bream and some king oyster mushrooms, both very tasty. Price-performance ratio is right!

We were kind enough to get the last free table on a Saturday evening. With a full house, the waiting time was a little longer, but we could live with that. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. We'd love to come back :)

After a concert at Haus Marteau, we went to “La Posta” in Bad Steben with several friends on a Sunday evening. Despite the late hour, our group of 9 received an extremely friendly welcome and wonderful care. The dishes were fresh and lovingly prepared, and small requests for changes were accepted without any problem. We were all very happy to have found such an attractive restaurant later in the evening on a Sunday.
