Pizzeria Da Carmelo in Bad Steben

Went to eat mussels today. The service was wonderful and the mussels were amazing. Compliments to the chef and of course the service. Our every wish was fulfilled.

It was a disappointment... We went there due to the many good reviews... It is adverised as an Italian restaurant...we tried pizza and steaks. Let's start with pizza... it is an Italian restaurant and the pizza is not good in any term... They could choose between different styles... The originals Neapolitan, Roman, Bari style or even the not so originals New York or Chicago styles...but no they choose to make a pizza with fair quality toppings BUT for a base (which is one of the most important part of pizza) they had something like a tortilla or something like this completely inappropriate for pizza at an Italian restaurant. 0 out of 5 due to this. Steak... we tried two different recipes of rump steak...both bad...really bad in quality, taste and cooking...who covers a rump steak with minced beef... The food was so heavy and probably low quality that it did not stay at my stomach for long... Prices average for the area... Really wondering for the so many good reviews...!!! The service was good and attentive...the decor was ok... To the owners please put some effort to improve your recipes...

Went there for my dad's birthday and it's a really good restaurant. I explicitly say restaurant because I can't just eat pizza here, I can also get everything from pasta dishes to meat (beef and pork) to fish. Food: came quickly and, above all, everything together (which is very important to me) - was also very tasty. As I said, the selection is very large. Ambience: It's still like "back in the day" (not the most modern) but still really ok. Service: The waiters are really very nice, accommodating and were prompt, only one was a bit confused. Definitely recommended. I don't give 5 stars because these are really outstanding restaurants.

This pizzeria is very cozy, although furnished in a somewhat old-fashioned way. The service is great. The pasta dishes taste great. You have to make compromises when it comes to pizza. The dough tastes as if it was made from a pre-baked piece of dough. Everything is clean.

Although it was already busy and tables were reserved, they still found a place for us at Da Carmelo. The menu is varied and the prices are cheap. Our order was taken quickly and the drinks were in front of us in no time. The food, a pizza and a devil's schnitzel, were also served quickly and it tasted simply heavenly. We have never been asked as often as in this restaurant whether everything was OK. The service is super attentive and despite there being a lot of customers, they always have a minute to chat. Thank you for a nice evening, we'll definitely see each other again.

As we often do, we ordered take-away and once again the onions and garlic we ordered were missing from the pizza. This is now the fourth time in a very short space of time that this has happened and it's really starting to get annoying. Unfortunately, that only makes the pizza half as good. On top of that, you paid for it even though it wasn't even on the pizza. It's a real shame, we used to love going there but somehow the pizzeria has been declining little by little since the ownership changed.

We came spontaneously and luckily got a table. Without a reservation it was probably difficult that day. We ordered pizza. I was in the mood for a classic Margherita. My other half had prosciutto with arugula. My pizza was without mozzarella but with Gouda. An Italian would see this as an insult to honor. I just didn't find it tasty. The prosciutto on the other pizza was more like cooked ham. He didn't have a long time in the air. The portion on the pizza is plenty. The pizzas were ordered as stone oven versions, but never saw a stone. The dough was bland and boring. Overall, the service and customer focus at the table are convincing. The structure and organization appear very professional. We really liked that! It was a mystery to us why savings were made on the product, the (qualitative rather than quantitative) use of goods and processing. There is a lot of potential on the road here. The wine was great!

Were there on a Monday during the summer holidays. The restaurant was very busy, but we (2 adults and a child) still managed to get a table despite the fact that we would have to wait longer. Despite the large number of guests, our order was taken quickly and the drinks and food also came quickly. The food was really very tasty. The waitresses were all very friendly and attentive. People always asked if everything was still okay or if you wanted something to drink. I left my cell phone behind as I walked and it was brought to me afterward. So service really is a 10/10!

65€ for 4 drinks 2 starters and 2 main courses. Food was really tasty. One waiter is great, the others need to be even more attentive. Ordering took too long, other tables had already received their food and we hadn't ordered yet. And asking for a drink every now and then when it's empty would have been great. We also waited quite a long time to pay.

Great pizza dough. Service could be a bit more attentive in some cases, but everything is still ok.

Pizza 🍕 and lasagna were very good. We were there with a dog and this wasn't a problem. There are few parking spaces at the house, but there are enough around the corner 100m away. The service was very friendly and special orders for pizza were also made without any problems.

Very nice service. The ambience was nice too. The food was ok, but unfortunately not a highlight. But it wasn't bad!

The seavice here was very nice. The ambience was also OK. The food, I had pizza, was unfortunately not that great but was probably quite OK for this corner. My expectations were probably too high based on the many positive reviews. It doesn't have much to do with Italian pizza, but we were full. But won't be coming back.

Fair prices and large portions, whether meat, pizza or pasta, everything is delicious. The service team is always attentive and friendly and the restaurant is comfortably furnished.

After the schnitzels in the evening, we ate pizza and pasta the next lunchtime. Everything excellent. Attentive good service. Highly recommended.

We have been to da Carmelo several times, but with the previous owner Toni. Now we were with the new owners, no comparison to before. The staff was very friendly, the salad was also delicious. However the pizza was absolutely nothing. The dough tasted like it was made from a ready-made mix. The surface was dry. No comparison to before. We definitely won't come back. I've eaten pizza a thousand times better.

As always, absolutely outstanding! We keep coming back and for us it's one of the best pizzas in the area!

Food quality always consistent and fresh. Always very tasty. Very friendly, attentive staff.

Unfortunately, the food in this restaurant has almost nothing to do with Italian cuisine. Probably the worst pizza I've ever had, the dough couldn't be baked even on the second try. The cheese with the pasta didn't taste good, just a cheap substitute and the onion soup is not really onions boiled in water and baked with bread and cheese. Nevermore.

The lady who gave the tour of the place advertised the pizzas to us as THE pizzas here in town. Unfortunately, my friend and I didn't really like them. We were full, but the dough was a bit too thick and it was so tasteless that we had to add more seasoning. I've eaten better... Sry. The division of service is also very confusing and complicated in my opinion (I also come from the catering industry)

Schönes Lokal - der Service war sehr freundlich - die Toiletten sind im Untergeschoss des Lokals nur per Treppe zu erreichen. Italienische Küche allerdings waren die Pizzen - gefühlt aber ohne den typischen Hefeteig sondern eher als „festen Teig“.

Macht von außen nicht viel her, aber es lohnt sich. Sehr nettes Personal, rustikale Einrichtung, sehr leckere Speisen zu ausgesprochen guten Preisen (teuerste große Pizza €10,80)

Super leckere (große Portion) Pizza mit fantastischem Boden, guter Service und Preise-Leistung top. Kann man absolut weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren am 01.12.22023 zum Abendessen dort. Wir hatten eine Pizza mit Brokkoli und das Teufelsschnitzel. Beides war sehr schmackhaft, die Portionen waren mehr als ausreichend. Für mich war das Schnitzel mal erfreulich anders, im Vergleich zu viele anderen Italienern, die Schnitzel mit scharfer Tomatensoße servieren. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis fanden wir super.

Endlich haben wir wieder einen italienisches Restaurant gefunden was einfach nur super ist. Beim eintreten sind wir sofort begrüßt und auch ohne Reservierung an einen perfekten Platz geführt worden im Handumdrehen aber nicht aufdringlich halten wir die Speisekarte. Nach unserer Wahl, stand dezente im Hintergrund der Kellner und nahm unsere Bestellung auf. Das Essen war ein Gaumenschmaus der Nachtisch ließ nichts zu wünschen übrig. Rund um perfekt.

Nach einer harten Arbeitswoche haben meine Frau und ich auf der Heimfahrt noch hunger bekommen und bei der Pizzaria 2 Pizzen zur Abholung bestellt weil diese auf dem Weg lag. Es hat sich absolut gelohnt. Sehr leckere Pizza und diese auch im Preis/Leistungsverhältnis top. Der Laden war extrem voll und die Bedienung sehr unter Stress. Aber dabei komplett freundlich und zuvorkommend gewesen. Durch das hohe Gästeaufkommen mussten wir etwas auf unsere Pizzen warten. Das war aber nicht tragisch, da wir so einen Blick ins Restaurant werfen konnten und auch dieses Ambiente lädt zum verweilen ein. Ein wirklich hübsches Restaurant. 4 Sterne für das Ambiente gibt es lediglich weil es dort (wie in vielen Restaurants) bei vollbesetzten Tischen sehr laut ist. Dafür kann der Betreiber aber nichts. - Es ist wirklich das einzige was ich hier etwas kritisieren kann und das ist wirklich jamern auf hohem Niveau.

Alles gut! Für "sehr gut" muss sich noch was tun. Es hat sich was getan! Kann nur empfohlen werden.

Nach mehrmaligen Besuchen in Bad Steben,wollten wir kulinarisch was anderes als bisher ausprobieren und sind auf das Da Carmelo aufmerksam geworden. Schon beim reservieren per Telefon und auf die Frage ob unserer Hund mit dürfte,würden wir sehr freundlich aufgenommen. Bei unserer Ankunft,wurde uns ein sehr schöner Tisch mit Platz für unseren Hund zugewiesen.Die Getränke und das Essen kamen trotz voller Auslastung des Restaurants super schnell und waren von ausgeschrochener frischer Qualität und mega lecker.Das Gesamte Personal sehr aufmerksam, professionell ,sehr nett und der Chef sehr kommunikativ ! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Macht weiter so und bleibt alle gesund.😉✌️

Ich war gestern mit meinem Team zum Essen dort. Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt, die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und auf Zack. Das essen war unfassbar lecker. Salate, Bruschetta, Pizza, Steak, Tiramisu. Die Steaks waren auf den Punkt perfekt gegrillt. Absolute Empfehlung!

Geheimtipp von einem Freund aus der Gegend. Freundliches Personal, sehr leckeres Essen, große Portionen, sehr hervorragender Service, sehr gute Preise für einen Reha-Kurort. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Unbedingt hinschauen, wer gerne gut essen will. Es gab heute mal nichts typisch italienisches, sondern: - Rumpsteak, medium, mit Champigons in Rahmsosse und Beilagensalat und - Filetsteak, medium, mit gebratenen Champignons Grüße aus der Oberpfalz

So wie es früher war. Frische Zutaten, toller Pizzateig, frischer Salat zu fairen Preisen. Letzters gilt auch für die Getränke. Das Lokal war voll und der Service lief einwandfrei. Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder

Die schlechten Bewertungen kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Das Pizzabrot war frisch und lecker. Die Pizzen aus dem Steinofen waren gut belegt mit frischen Zutaten. Der Boden war kross mit wenig Teigrand. Die beiden Rumpsteaks waren medium auf den Punkt, sehr zartes Fleisch. Die Pommes frisch gemacht ohne zu fettig zu sein. Die Kräuterbutter war selbstgemacht mit frischen Kräutern und Knoblauch. Die Bedienung war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Als Abschluss konnten wir wählen zwischen Grappa, diversen Likören und Espresso. Alles in allem ein gelungener Abend in freundlicher Umgebung mit einem sehr guten Essen. Für uns eine klare Empfehlung.

Der Service war freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell, obwohl viel los war. Die Vorspeise und das Hauptgericht waren lecker und die Portion so groß, dass leider kein Dessert mehr gegessen werden konnte. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist super.
