Country inn with a beautiful natural setting. We were there for lunch. Unfortunately, we had to wait 1 hour 40 minutes from the time we ordered for the food. The shoulder of pork was large, super tasty, and nicely crispy! Unfortunately, it only came with a spoonful of cabbage and a little sauce. Pork medallions – 3 dry medallions, 3 spears of asparagus, and 1.5 potatoes. The guest wasn't full 😅

A cozy spot high above Bad Steben, with rustic, authentic Franconian cuisine! 👍🏼 Also highly recommended as a short evening hike for rehab guests, or on weekends with the whole family... It's best to pre-order, especially if they're serving Schäufele! 😋😋😋 Just give it a try! Fair prices, large portions, and a friendly team... 🤗Please keep it up, we'll definitely be back❣️🫶🏻

Okay, the food might deserve 2-3 stars, I had schnitzel Viennese style with three asparagus spears and fried potatoes. The asparagus and the fried potatoes were not salted, so I wanted to add more salt, but the salt shaker has such big holes that the fried potatoes were quickly over-salted and I couldn't eat them. Maybe that's my fault. However, I had to wait half an hour before I could place my order. And then a whopping 90 minutes passed for the schnitzel and the three stalks of asparagus. This is underground and therefore not a recommendation for this inn.

Very friendly service, moderate prices, good home cooking in a pleasant atmosphere. We'd love to come back.

The name says it all. From the beautiful view to the very nice owner and, above all, the food. Fresh, regional and simply great price-performance ratio. I can only recommend this restaurant. I'd love to come by again. Even if it means a few kilometers detour :-)

We were there for lunch today. The schnitzels were very good. I got a sauce with it upon request. There is also a beer garden right next to it, which is definitely a good place to stay in warmer temperatures. Rounds are walking routes. Therefore a good destination with great food

Hello, we had lunch here today, we had Viennese style schnitzel with potatoes and asparagus. We would have liked some sauce with it, it was very dry. All in all, we were full, but I can't really recommend the restaurant.

There isn't that much choice of food, but it tastes really good and, I think, is homemade. The employee who served us was nice, honest and also gave recommendations regarding the food. Small note: currently only cash payment is possible. Thanks!

Highly recommended. Went to the buffet dinner yesterday. It tasted very good and was freshly prepared. Also very affordable all you can eat €16.90. Many different types of meat and also shish kebab. Various side dishes such as potato salad, potato gratin, cheese spaetzle. Sandwiches. Salad, fruit, dessert. Drinks were also good and inexpensive (1/2 liter beer 2.90). All in all we were very satisfied. Thanks

The food was delicious, the roulades were soft as butter, the schnitzel and cheese spaetzle were freshly prepared. Had a nice conversation with the boss while paying. I'm only here for rehab, but I'll try to come here again, just because of the beer garden and the view. And of course the good food.

Was there on Sunday at 2pm, an hour before closing. At the beginning the service was a bit rough when we asked for coffee and cake. We were given coffee in a more friendly manner, but she doesn't have any cake because she closes in an hour.

Everything was a bit old, but the Cordon Bleu was great and freshly prepared. There was nothing to complain about. Delicious 👍🏼

Not recommended in my opinion! Service is not very motivated, not everyone has to work in service. Everything was a bit grubby all around, I'm glad I didn't order food there. Even the coffee didn't taste good, a few more beans wouldn't have been bad. We had to go to the waitress to pay, otherwise it would have gotten dark! It's really a shame because the restaurant is in a great location 🙄

We rode our bikes and had lunch in the beer garden. Food was freshly prepared and was very tasty. Portions are large and the taste cannot be faulted. There is a playground for kids. The drinks are freshly tapped and nice and cold and there is a sufficient selection. There was definitely nothing to complain about.

I was here a few times during my rehab in September, both for dinner and just in the beer garden in the evening. The food tastes very good and the prices are more than affordable. The landlady runs the restaurant here alone with a lot of passion and commitment. If I ever come to Bad Steben again, I will definitely come back. 100% recommendation.

We were at the country inn today and were so excited. The owner cooks everything herself, nothing is ready-made here, we are very impressed. It was super delicious!!! By the way, the owner built everything here herself and has shown a good knack for coziness and ambience. So, the visit is worth it.

Conditional. Food was O.K. But here it comes. We hiked to the inn on Friday evening, September 27th, 2024. Arrived there at 7:00 p.m. The blue neon light “OPEN” was still on. I touch the door handle... at the same moment the inside is locked and the neon light is turned off. Unbelievable... there was no response to knocks and calls. A disgrace towards the guests. That's why the landlady gets a bad rating from me.

We were here on September 28th and had a very good meal. The food was freshly prepared. Hats off to the commitment of this landlady who does everything here alone and doesn't throw in the towel like most other restaurants.

We ate in the restaurant yesterday and had booked a table by phone beforehand. The food was absolutely delicious, no ready-made schnitzels, everything was fresh, fast and friendly service. If you know the history of the Schöne Aussicht and know that the owner does everything herself, then you can only say “hats off”. We would definitely like to come back.

Food great, handmade, you could even hear the knocking of the meat. Fries straight from the potato... Nice service that also knows how to have fun. We felt very comfortable. ..

Table was reserved for 12 people. Great service, food arrived quickly, even though we were a large group of 12 people. The food was very tasty and the prices were unbeatable. It's unbelievable how the two of them (cook and waitress) manage everything on their own. Respect 😄

Yesterday I had dinner at Schöne Blick. The portion was decent and tasted really good. The wait was ridiculously short! The ambience is great. There is a great demarcated playground for children. Great stopover for hikes. I'd love to come back.

The food was super delicious! However, it was very expensive. There wasn't much choice either. The view was rather expansive over fields but otherwise it left a lot to be desired. It was an “okay” stay The lady who apparently had to do everything alone was very friendly and really tried to do everything as quickly and well as possible on her own!

So you can't say anything about the price, including drinks. But if there are no schnitzels available on schnitzel day 2, well. And as a boss, just sitting there and smoking doesn't make a good impression. There was no pineapple at Hawaii and there was no mushroom cream sauce because of the heat. Unfortunately, the tone of the answer says it all. That's just not how you run a restaurant! It's your decision, but if you react bitterly to every criticism, how are you ever going to improve? You run a restaurant to make your customers happy and not yourself!

Having to wait an hour for your food is really not possible. Some things were no longer available at lunchtime. No nuggets or fish fingers, no yogurt salad dressing, no orange soda. The ambience is so-so. It's probably a matter of taste.

A beautifully situated beer garden with a lot of charm. It's already comfortable. The food that is brought looks good. Some people could be a little more understanding and say that when things are gone, that's just the way it is, especially on Saturday evenings or Sundays. The owner does what she can, it's difficult alone. She is nice and friendly. I can recommend it with a very clear conscience.

A beautiful beer garden with delicious, freshly prepared food and draft beer. For example, I was there for the schnitzel happy hour. Each schnitzel with fries for 9.90 euros is really worth stopping by. The schnitzel happy hour is Wednesdays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. There is a cocktail happy hour on Thursdays and a drinks happy hour on Fridays. I can only recommend it.

Actually a nice country inn, but unfortunately the owners are currently “lone warriors”. She does EVERYTHING herself. Service, kitchen, bar. You can of course notice this in the quality and hygiene. Nevertheless, the food was okay and sufficient.

The food is not loving, it is simply served from the deep fryer to the plate, something that anyone could do at home. That's why I don't go out to eat. Furthermore, the boss is sometimes always in a bad mood when customers come, the expression on her face makes everything come true, you could do more with this restaurant, the fact that there hasn't been a light in the men's toilet for years or the fountain is broken but the caretaker service is great on the T-shirt and you get it didn't bake anything myself. It's a shame, it's the second time I've eaten there and I won't be coming back a third time. The first time it was great but the second time it was so bad that the plate was full of deep fryer oil or fat because the schnitzel had probably just come out of the deep fryer. Normally you would have to send the health department there and do an inspection.

Friendly service that goes out of its way to take care of its guests. I can only recommend the “Wiener Style” schnitzel. 2 large schnitzels were fried nice and tender. I can only recommend it.

We, the Fibromyalgie Landesverband Berlin Brandenburg e.V., have been there many times and have only had good things to say. The food was very tasty, freshly prepared, and always a kind word from the boss. We can only recommend it, many a restaurant in Bad Steben should follow an example here, one or the other can learn something here... And the view is fantastic, we can only recommend homemade cakes, delicious cheesecake and many other varieties simply delicious..... And one more thing, the boss definitely needs reinforcements, get in touch.......

It was the first time in this restaurant whose name it lives up to. We sat in the very nice beer garden. Inside, the decor is quite cozy/rustic. Very nice and careful service from the boss herself. She also cooks. He also took care of the wasp infestation at our table. The dishes were easily written on a board in the beer garden. Very tasty schnitzel dishes. The prices are very moderate, especially the drinks. This is actually no longer known in Germany. This excursion restaurant is definitely worth recommending and I would love to come back!

Had dinner here. Dishes are offered here that can be made quickly. The inn is apparently run by one person who takes the orders, prepares the food and probably does everything else on his own. Dishes taste ok, but not more. It probably can't be done any other way in a one-person business. We had Kösespätzle. Once with meat and once with salad. Unfortunately the liquid dressing from the salad ran under the spaetzle. Which wasn't that good in terms of taste. Very nice view from the beer garden. Prices for drinks are still very humane. So if you're looking for a quick meal without high expectations, this is the place for you.
