The food at home tastes better, all the dishes were hardly seasoned. The ventilation in the restaurant is poor, clothes had to stay outside after visiting the restaurant.

We just ordered pizza to pick up and it was very quick. However, it was only when I got home that I saw that the salami pizza - with mushrooms and pepperoni according to the website - was without these ingredients. But I still ate the pizza because it was good. Then, on the last bite of the second piece of pizza, I had a piece of blue plastic wrap stuck in my dough. I then decided to call and let you know. The nice lady on the phone told me that the salami pizza is now always delivered without mushrooms and pepperoni because the guests have often complained. After I said that about the plastic, she offered to make me a new pizza. When I picked up the pizza, the boss tried to tell me in an impertinent tone that it was normal for there to be plastic in the dough and in the pasta, among other things... Wonder what the plastic was doing in there. Then he asked me if I was kidding him because I only realized halfway through the pizza that the ingredients were missing. He didn't want to hear that that wasn't the reason for the complaint. He then shouted loudly in the restaurant and in the kitchen whether I was kidding. I then got HALF a new pizza salami and the comment that he can't be fooled. Simply outrageous, an “I’m sorry” would probably be too much to ask.

Ordered 2 pizzas there. Waited over 2 hours and then received the wrong delivery. When I called where the pizza was, there wasn't even an apology. The quality of the pizza is also absolutely inferior. Any frozen pizza is significantly better.

The staff was far too slow, the restaurant wasn't nearly full, we waited over an hour for the pizza and it didn't even taste good.

This pizzeria used to be top. Was often visited by Americans. Me and my sister and her daughter often ordered from the Pizzaria am Steinknock. Ordered pizza over the phone and asked approximately how long it would take. It was a short walk for my sister who lived at Steinknock. You had to go down the stairs and walk around the corner and you got your pizza. My niece and the current owner of Garden City have known each other since childhood. She helped her parents in the restaurant and I think she enjoyed it? I can confirm many of the reviews, e.g. waiting too long, unpleasantness P.S How low can you sink?

Once and never again, with a woman like that on the phone you scare away customers, zero customer orientation. You order a 34cm pizza and only get 30cm.

Ordered a large pizza parma today - delivery was scheduled for 30 minutes. What can I say 2 hours later - after a phone call the driver came by. Pizza of course cold and wrong size, when asked we were accused of lying. First and last time ordered there.

If you want to get what you pay for, you've come to the right place. During my training in Bamberg, I tried many pizzerias with colleagues and this one is definitely the best. In my opinion, it's also the tastiest pizza I've ever eaten, no matter where I was. But not only the pizza, but also pasta and salads are prepared fresh and delicious. There are 5 stars for the food, as well as for the service and the ambience. As soon as I'm back in Bamberg, my first trip will be to Pizzeria Italia!

Ordered 2 family pizzas today, delivery was quick, driver was very friendly, but the price was way too expensive and disappointing. Paid 44.50 for 2 pizzas, unfortunately reduced in size. Wouldn't order again

Wir hatten mehrere Pizzen bestellt die geliefert wurden. Nie wieder. Alle waren, ohne zu übertreiben, geschmacklich mittelmäßig und den Boden könnte man als dick und zähen Gummi bezeichnen. Schade dafür Geld ausgegeben zu haben.

The salad tasted really sweet and after our complaint there was audible complaining about us from the kitchen. After further complaints on our part that people could express their opinions, we were assured in a mushy tone that more salads were sold than pizzas. We then asked for the bill and were paid in full by the manager of the house without comment. Both neighboring tables were also not satisfied with their food.

Such warm service. The friendliness is awesome. We had gluten free and regular pizzas. Soooo delicious! We have ordered several times. It was always very tasty, but even better on site, straight from the oven. And best of all, my overeating men can't even manage a pizza with great toppings. I would always make a reservation, to be safe. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDATION!

Without words! Overwhelmed staff. Accept all orders and guests, which is actually not possible. Unfriendly. The food came after 1.5 hours. Pizza is terrible. Doughy, thick, overloaded with cheese. If you criticize: no apology, nothing! Don't do this to yourself! Frozen pizza tastes better and you don't have to listen to the arguments between the kitchen and the waiter.

Were regular customers, but now unfortunately the quality has declined. As always, we ordered delivery but this time the food wasn't ok. The tortellini sauce was like water and out of the bag according to my opinion. After consulting with the local, I was offered to bring the food over and swap it 😅? I haven't had anything like that before either. Normal procedure is money back or new delivery. Ordered for the last time.

The waitress ignored us, even though she passed our table several times. We left after 20 minutes of waiting and no service. Very disappointing

Italian is lived, spoken and cooked here. The pizza and salad were very, very good. Thanks. Gladly again, we got our food in just under 30 minutes. The worst place is right in front of the kitchen. You don't see them both. Hear and scream all the louder.

Price-performance ratio is good. Really fresh salad.

Great service, everything was good

In short: pizza is really good, pasta not so much. I had Penne Gorgonzola and personally the sauce was too thick and creamy for me. Likewise, I've never had wine in an Aperol glass. Always something new.

Super great menu from salad, pasta, pizza, fish, beef steak and schnitzel, everything is there. Very decent value for money and ultra tasty. Service was very friendly and asked often if anyone needed drinks etc. Only the waiting time for the food, about an hour, was a bit steep. Otherwise great and would be happy again. (You can of course also get the leftovers from the very large dishes neatly packaged to take away).

We ordered via Lieferando and waited 2 1/2 hours for our food instead of the stated time of 50-70 minutes. When we asked over the phone what the status of our order was, we asked for the street in a very taciturn manner and said "it's on the way!", and we didn't even apologize. Having to wait 2 1/2 hours for two salads is not normal! After the salads were finally delivered, we unfortunately discovered that they were made with yogurt dressing instead of vinegar and oil. Since the dressing was already spread on the salad, it could not be eaten due to intolerance. Calling the restaurant again didn't help either, instead of an apology or an offer to make things better, they said "Signora, I can't help you" and then they hung up without further ado! An impudence! Very rude, I wouldn't recommend eating or ordering here to anyone!

I ordered a pizza from Italia yesterday. After, contrary to the announcement from Pizzeria.de, where you order online, no one reported that the order would take significantly longer than 90 minutes, I called after two hours and actually wanted to cancel the pizza. Unfortunately, the pizza had probably just been loaded into the delivery vehicle at that point. It's a shame - we lost interest at half past ten. Unfortunately, the quality of the Pizza Vegeto didn't make up for it either. Not in the oven long enough and carelessly topped with about half of the topping consisting of onions that were cut too coarsely. Admittedly, the pizza arrived very warm and didn't taste like cardboard ;) Therefore two stars

I cannot agree with many of the previous speakers/prescribers. Today we were again in the "Italia" with Maria and Massimo. Everything went perfectly. We were a group of nine people and we all ordered different pizzas. As always, they were very, very tasty. Massimo just has it! It took less than 30 minutes from order to delivery to the table. All the food arrived at the same time! ... The selection of drinks was very extensive. As a native of Bamberg, I was able to discover numerous locally produced beers on the menu. From Keesmann Pils to Mahrsbräu to Schlenkerla Rauchbier etc. everything was on offer. The staff, consisting of the operators' two lovely daughters, were extremely friendly and accommodating. As the evening drew to a close and the restaurant emptied, the innkeeper Maria and the boss Massimo joined us at the table. We talked for a long time about this and that... Italian cars, German ones too of course, about my current driving ban for speeding and the draconian consequences of similar violations in "bella Italia"... all in all a very nice evening at the REAL ITALIAN next door (birthplace Palermo... and not in the Balkans, somewhere in Africa or Asia). And despite massive and sometimes outrageous price increases in the new year, the Cappadone family's increases have remained moderate... For comparison: a Schäuferla in the "Spezi" cost €13.60 before Christmas... now €16.70.. ...that's well over 20% from one day to the next and far more than the 12% from 7% to 19% VAT... I'd rather go to the Garden City and eat the tastiest pizza in town to my liking! ... free grappa (the finest) included. Oh yes, I was also able to learn a few words of Italian... a presto!!!

Very good food, very good service and finally a place where you can stop off after exercise and get something to eat until 11 p.m. A bit loud in the next room.

Order today - eat tomorrow!!!!!! Delivery took a whopping 2.5 hours instead of 1.5 hours. Maria, the boss, by the way, the unfriendliness personified (!!) was not willing to compromise at all. So she took her food back with her and we got kebab. Once and never again!!

Food delivery takes 3 hours. When asked by phone, the manager was extremely unfriendly. When we asked if she could accommodate us somehow, she said: no, you ordered from Lieferando and I already pay enough taxes to them anyway. Thank you and never again!!!

Even one star is too many. The staff is extremely unfriendly, you are insulted and shouted at. The food was also bad and three of the group threw up afterwards.

CAUTION!!! To me it borders on fraud. We have been ordering from Italia on Jäckstrasse for years and, with a few exceptions, have always been satisfied. Now it seems that the Pizzeria Italia on Jäckstrasse no longer exists and the number has been taken over by the Pizzeria Italia on Ferdinand-Tietz-Strasse. So I thought that when I called I would come out on Jäckstrasse as usual, but that wasn't the case, which I unfortunately only found out from the pizza delivery person. So I ordered what we always order and was surprised at the questions that came up, but even when I asked if anything had changed, it was brazenly not pointed out that both numbers now go to this pizzeria. When we had to wait forever for our food and the order was wrong, the frustration was great. Instead of a large pizza, we received a small pizza, which was mini but cost 9.50 euros, for which we would otherwise have received a large pizza. In general, our order cost over 10 euros more than usual and I don't think that's okay. If I consciously order from Garden City, then I know what I'm getting myself into, but for me it borders on fraud. The pizza driver kindly left a menu there and when we did the math we noticed that they had even charged 4 euros too much, even though we had of course only paid for the small pizza. Of course the driver was already gone. Now something about the food: lasagna was good, pizza and schnitzel were unfortunately not so good. Now unfortunately we have to look for a new regular pizzeria... So be careful, Jäckstrasse is closed and people are taking full advantage of it here!

Unfortunately I have to share my worst experience with this pizzeria. Despite the announcement of a delivery time of 30 minutes, it took a whopping 2 hours and 30 minutes for my food to finally arrive. When asked, it was claimed that there had been a police operation, but after consultation with the local police, it emerged that no such operation had taken place in the last 3 hours. Not only the inexplicable delay but also the poor quality of the food left me deeply disappointed. The delivery service has not offered any compensation and the excuse of non-existent police involvement is unacceptable. This was definitely the last time I ordered here. My clear recommendation: Find another pizzeria with more reliable service and better food quality.

Food arrived way too late with a wait of over 3 hours. We called back after 2 hours and the pizza was still not in the oven. I would absolutely not recommend it. Pizza base was just cardboard, you could hardly bite it off, the noodles that were ordered had no seasoning on them at all

Leider war mein Essen versalzen, der Service war unfreundlich und es dauerte sehr lange bis jemand kam. Eine Dame welche ebenfalls dort essen war wurde bei einer Beschwerde von dem Küchenchef angeschrien und auch das Personal untereinander war respektlos, die Toiletten sahen ekelhaft aus und es hat gestunken

essen schmeckt gut, allgemein sieht es hier nicht schön aber auch nicht hässlich aus, jedoch hat das essen sehr lange gedauert und die bedienungen haben uns kaum beachtet

We waited almost two hours in the restaurant for four pizzas. The chef/Cef was very unfriendly when asked. The pizza was ok. First and last time for us.

Top kulinarisches, nur Lieferzeit könnte schneller sein, das Warten lohnt sich.

Ich habe hier das Essen kritisiert und wurde dann von den jungen Damen beschimpft. Mir wurde hier ein Vogel gezeigt und mein Sohn, 11 Jahre wurde beleidigt,. Ich war vor Jahren hier und war gerne hier aber das habe ich mein ganzes Leebem lang nicht erlebt. Die Eltern sollten sich für dies Kinder schämen.

Leider wird sich hier an Zeiten nicht so gehalten. Bei der Abholung wird generell das Essen erst gemacht wenn man zu abholen kommt. D.h. nochmal 15-20 warten. Die Familie ist auch nicht die freundlichste. Und wenn ich dann beim abholen seh das Discountwasser aus Plastikflaschen ausgeschenkt wird war ich ganz schön verwundert. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nicht weiterempfehlen.

Ich war mit ein paar Freunden gemeinsam im Lokal essen. Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich und das Essen war sehr gut. Alle Gerichte wurden gleichzeitig und innerhalb von 35 Minuten gebracht. Ich komme gerne wieder

Wir essen hier schon seit ein paar Jahren. Es ist Immer alles super lecker. Wir bestellen hier seit ein paar Jahren, es wird Immer alles pünktlich geliefert und schmeckt ausgezeichnet. Die Bedienung ist nett und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen hier immer wieder gerne her oder lassen uns etwas liefern.

Hammer gutes Essen, reichlich und immer frisch. Lieferung immer im Zeitfenster und heiß.

Also die Pizza Margarita war super lecker. Das Personal auch sehr nett. Ich freue mich schon aufs nächste mal.

Sehr gute Pizzeria, waren schon das dritte mal da als wir in Bamberg Tischtennis gespielt haben und es war nicht das letzte Mal ;-) Jedesmal war der Service sehr flott und auch wenn es mal etwas später wurde sehr freundlich. Waren jetzt innerhalb kurzer Zeit zum dritten Mal nach dem Sport gemütlich einkehren. Auch, wenn es mal etwas später wurde, wurden wir herzlich begrüßt und jeder Wunsch wurde uns erfüllt. Die Bruschetta sind ein Traum (sowohl Klassik als mit Aubergine vom Grill) und die Pizzen, gerade für Bamberger Verhältnisse, im Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis unschlagbar. Generell große Auswahl, schneller Service und gute Qualität. Wir sind happy!

"Die Italia" ist ein im Familienbetrieb geführtes original italienisches traditions-Lokal. Es liegt in einem Wohngebiet im Osten Bambergs. Terrasse, Wintergarten und großzügiger Innenraum. Die Speisekarte reicht von Vorspeisen über Pizzen ( 2 Größen), Fleisch- und Fischgerichte bis zu Desserts (wenig). Leckere und große Portionen. Service zuvorkommend, sehr freundlich und familiär. Preisgestaltung angemessen, eher günstig. Hier lässt sich auch im größeren Kreis sehr gut feiern. Gut geeignet für spontan alleine, als Familie und Paar auszugehen. Man muss werktags nichr reservieren Eine gute und preiswerte Alternative zum Lieferservice der "Italia". Empfehlung: gut essen und trinken und sich wohlfühlen. Keine Schickeria und kein Schnickschnack.

Super Pizza und sehr nettes Personal, gerne wieder

Toller Service und leckere Pizzen und andere italienische Gerichte. Gute Auswahl, für jeden was dabei auch verschiedene leckere Salate.

We were staying close by so decided to go for an early evening meal here. It was a cosy, well decorated restaurant which had good ambience, friendly service and delicious pizza. We ordered the medium diavolo and the large vulcano. We enjoyed our pizzas which we thought were reasonably priced and a carafe of primitivo red wine too.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Bedienung war freundlich. Der Boden ist ein wenig schief, aber das ist überhaupt kein Problem.

Wie schon die drei Sterne beschreiben, ein gutes und durchschnittliches Restaurant. Die Speisen sind frisch gemacht, deshalb ist die Wartezeit etwas länger. Die Auswahl an Getränken ist gut und bei Rotweinen etwas vermehrter, als bei ähnlichen Lokalen. Auf Wünsche wird eingegangen, z. B. auf Sahne verzichtet. Die zwei Sorten Bruschetta sind üppig und wer noch die Hauptspeise essen möchte, sollte sie mit weiteren Personen teilen. Die Pizze sind gut und, falls man sie mit anderen Pizze von anderen Lokalen vergleicht, tendieren sie eher in Richtung sehr gut. Aber, als jemand der Pizza lieber in Italien isst und wenn er sie selber macht eher mit wenig Hefe und mindestens 2 Tage Zeit zum gehen lässt, bin ich ein ziemlich kritischer Zeitgenosse. Deshalb, obwohl man für sein Geld etwas bekommt und der Service sehr freundlich ist, als in manch anderen viel teureren - zu teuren - Lokalen, gibt mein Gaumen nicht mehr als 3 Sterne. Und deshalb werde ich sicher noch einmal dort hingehen und andere Gerichte probieren.

Essen ist ok. Service auch. Ambiente schön.

Das Essen ist gut und dir Mädels super freundlich was aber wirklich unter aller Sau ist - der Umgangston aus der Küche.

Leckere, riesige Salate, köstliche Pizza, die Penne Arrabiata großzügig bemessen und schmackhaft. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, familiäre Atmosphäre! Nur die Bruschetta war ziemlich salzig. Sicher war der Koch verliebt😉

zum zweiten Mal haben wir über 2,5 Stunden auf die Lieferung warten müssen. Ich habe extra bei der zweiten Bestellung gefragt, ob es wieder 2,5 Stünden dauern würde. Es hieß ca. 1 Stunde. Essen ist gut, aber da gibt es bessere Lieferdienste, die auch gutes Essen liefern. Ich bestelle dort nicht mehr.

Sehr große Portionen, die beiden Gerichte waren "Klein". Es ist schmackhaft und sehr schön angerichtet. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, aus der Küche kann es aber mal laut werden, wenn die italienische Familienseelen etwas emotionaler werden.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Die Snacks die das Warten überbrücken sollen waren lecker und sehr reichlich.

Super Gerichte. Preis/Leistung TOP! Sehr nettes und freundliches Team. Es ist immer eine Freude ;-))

Sehr leckere Pizza. Ich musste bei der Lieferung nach Hause aber auch erst testen, bis ich den Dreh raus hatte. Die Pizza ist etwas "feuchter" und stärker belegt, als bei anderen Pizzerien. Die Pizza deshalb ungeschnitten bestellen, so dass der Karton nicht durchweicht. Nach der Lieferung den Karton öffnen und die Pizza auf die Innenseite des Deckels schieben. Bestenfalls mit (trotzdem vorsichtiger) Rüttelbewegung des Kartons. Sie könnte sonst einreißen. Etwas "ausdampfen" lassen und mit einem Pizzaschneider selbst die gewünschten Stücke schneiden. Ich habe mich auch oft über den aufgeweichten Karton geärgert. Die Pizza klebte manchmal daran. Jetzt habe ich den gleichen Genuss der leckeren Pizza daheim. Yummy. Immer wieder gerne. 😊

Essen war wie immer gut . Auf Sauberkeit sollte mehr geachtet werden . Tischdecken und Staub auf und neben Deko.

Die Pizzas hervorragend! Die Bruschetta sensationell. Alles bei angenehmen Preisen. Wir kommen wieder, dann bringen wir aber gleich Freunde mit, damit diese auch die Gastfreundlichkeit kennenlernen.
