Super great restaurant, very friendly staff and really delicious food. Highly recommended!

Once a year we go here to the location of our first date. The food and service were always good.

Unfortunately I had to wait an hour, but otherwise it was very tasty. Pizza was modified according to my wishes, which was great. For the "homemade" lemonade, I suspect syrup as the base. Tastes very sweet and artificial. Overall ok.

Food was delicious. Waiting time was reasonable. Staff should be trained (again). - Wrong food was brought to the table - Cutlery fell down and the staff took it with them, but only brought new ones when asked. - Questions about food couldn't really be answered. - We had to remind 3 times that we wanted to pay. Overall, the staff was friendly, but you could tell there was a lack of experience. Ambience is nice, toilets were ok. Credit cards are accepted. Reservation recommended, especially fully booked around 7 p.m.

Unfriendly, tired waitress. We were not asked if we needed anything else (yes, it was necessary to bring more drinks for the children). The salmon was under-salted, the Margherita pizza was... a C grade. It's a shame, the place is beautiful and atmospheric.

We had dinner there with friends on Sunday. Reservation for 10 people on the upper floor with a great view! Really courteous, nice service and delicious food in a really nice atmosphere. Good value for money and decent portions.

That was really disgusting. First of all: We waited 40 minutes for our food. For pasta… Then came the Bollywood pasta dish - chicken - raw inside. So pink. We send it back and it's back after 3 minutes. The waitress asks if everything is okay now - we say: "No, it's still raw." And she says it's because of the tandoori chicken. That can't be right lol and then she blurts out: "Yes, he heated it up again, it should be done now" We specifically asked: reheated or recooked? She then said I think it was newly cooked. We weren't willing to pay for the food. Raw chicken is ⚠️. Then they said no, we can't understand you, that's how it is. Then the discussion starts all over again: “It’s because of the marinade, it soaks into the meat.” – First: Tandoori is red, not pink. Second: If the marinade only "absorbs" in places, something has gone wrong. Third: It was inedible. And then they say in all seriousness: “That’s normal, no one has ever complained.” Yes, well, but unfortunately that wasn't the case for us. Honestly. The discussion with the team ended up being more annoying than the raw chicken itself. Nevertheless, they accommodated us with a 50% discount. Unnecessary stress

Delicious food, very friendly staff. I was particularly impressed by the homemade iced tea and the "Naughty Berry" dessert, but so far I haven't had anything that I didn't like. When the weather is nice you can sit outside. I always enjoy coming here!

The service was very poor when I visited yesterday and the last few times. It always takes too long to be served, when the drinks are empty you wait too long and you also wait too long to pay. This has been the case on every visit so far. I don't understand how that can be, there are enough service staff.

A very successful evening! We were assigned a high table and asked whether a normal table would be possible. At first they said no because everything was reserved. Another, attentive employee then offered us a normal table with the note that it was "unfortunately only available for us for 2 hours and then reserved again" - said and done, changed the table, great service, delicious food, great evening, 2 hours was absolutely sufficient and entertaining. Thanks for that!

Good Italian restaurant next to the tourist office. They have long hours and good attention. The pastas are very delicious. Highly recommended.

We ate at Aposto Bamberg today and wouldn't eat here again. Unfortunately, the food was absolutely mediocre and the service was just bad. 1. Our drink was forgotten and when the food came, the waitress didn't even notice that it was missing. 2. Since the food was very lightly seasoned, we asked for some salt, which was also forgotten, after 5 minutes I asked again and the waiter finally brought it. 3. When we finally ordered the bill, this was also forgotten, after 10 minutes we asked again and finally got the bill. The service definitely needs to be improved.

Service was not really motivated and worth service. Always stupid comments. Chilli oil is just red oil. Food was ok but a pizza from the kebab shop is also ok. Well, no more will come. Toilets were very dirty both men and women

I can't say much about the food as we only ate a piece of cake. The atmosphere is nice but the seating is a bit cramped. The staff seemed a bit uncoordinated. There was only one cashier and that made everything a little more difficult. It's best to pay for the drinks and food as soon as they arrive, this way you save the waiting time.

We didn't even get to eat. We asked a waitress if we could sit at a free table and we were told yes. After 10 minutes, another waitress suddenly came and said we had to sit down because the table was reserved. Apparently a few privileged people came and we had to make room. With so much unwelcome culture, we didn't feel like eating here and went to another restaurant where they knew what hospitality meant. We don't go to Bamberg that often, but we certainly won't go here again.

Very punk Italian food. Nice ambience. But it was always busy and the waiters were always overworked.

Nice atmosphere, centrally located. At first we weren't served at all, even though it was empty. Drinks only came upon request. The pizza was lukewarm and the salad only contained a bit of what was on the menu.

Unfortunately, our visit to the Aposto Bamberg was disappointing. Of the dishes we wanted to order, three with truffles from the Christmas special menu were not in stock. The beer typical of Bamberg was also not available - a surprising problem for a restaurant in this city. My children's order was also not filled correctly. Although “without cream” was expressly requested, the desserts were still served with cream. When we ordered, we were initially promised children's portions for the desserts, but this promise was later withdrawn. This indicates clear inattention on the part of the staff. Another weak point was the sanitary facilities. The unpleasant smell of urine and the lack of cleanliness were not only annoying, but also a reason why we decided not to visit again. Despite the attractive design of the location, the negative experiences clearly outweigh the negative ones. The impression is that neither the franchise nor the staff have the necessary industry experience. It was particularly disappointing that our comments about the deficiencies in paying the staff and the request that they be forwarded to the managing director were seemingly ignored. There was no response or apology, which both surprised and disappointed us. Critical review: The Aposto Bamberg shows serious weaknesses in several areas: from the availability of food and drinks to the attentiveness of the staff to cleanliness. A fundamental improvement in organization, service quality and hygiene is urgently needed. Despite the appealing ambience, this is not enough to compensate for the negative experiences. That's why I only give it two stars.

Going great until the waiter spilled a variety of coloured drinks over coats and scarves on a chair because nowhere available to hang them. No offer of cleaning was forthcoming - very much a fend for yourself job.

We had booked the 5-course New Year's Eve menu. Unfortunately the quality of the food was consistently poor. Either no clear taste could be identified or the target was clearly missed. In particular, the steak, instead of being medium rare, was just tough, dry and without any specific taste of its own. The food was also carelessly prepared, just thrown on the plate and out. 69€ was far too expensive, any fast food restaurant would have tasted better! The service was also moderately friendly and she didn't seem to care that we didn't like the food. It's a shame because the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere. I won't eat here again, I'm very disappointed!😤

We were there for the New Year's Eve menu, but unfortunately we were quite disappointed here. On a day like this you would actually expect beautifully set tables - unfortunately none here. We were there at 6 p.m. and there was neither toilet paper nor adequate hygiene standards in the toilets. The smell in the toilets was terrible. Unfortunately, the food didn't convince us either. The taste is simply not good, some of the beans, for example, are inedible. Questionable serving of the dessert. Unfortunately, the service was also very inattentive and left dishes that had been used for a very long time with us. A visit on New Year's Eve is absolutely not recommended.

The heavily announced New Year's Eve menu was a disaster. Bad service and even at 6 p.m. the women's toilets were completely dirty, no soap and no toilet paper. The tables were not set and there was no festive atmosphere at all. No decorations, not even the menu cards were there. When we asked, we were given a menu card, but it was taken away from us because there were only two left for all the guests. When asked whether a dish from the vegetarian menu could be substituted for the main course, this was answered in the negative. Unfortunately, not a single dish from the 5-course menu impressed me in terms of taste. The dessert had a questionable shape and didn't invite you to enjoy it. The service was slow and unaccommodating.

Unfortunately, the restaurant has declined significantly. About six months ago the food was significantly better and the service was also more satisfactory. At the beginning we were seated at a shaky table that catapulted as soon as we put down a cell phone. When I politely asked the waiter for another table, we had to wait a full 30 minutes - and without any drinks. When we were finally able to sit down at a new table, another 30 minutes passed before our order was taken. The drinks and food arrived after about half an hour, which initially gave us some hope. But this was quickly disappointed: the food was there, but no cutlery. Since the waiter was no longer in sight, I made my way to the kitchen to organize cutlery or another waiter. But there was no cutlery available there either, so I had to wait for a waiter - another 10 minutes. Of course, in the end our food was cold, and the entire experience was disappointing. Unfortunately, the restaurant is no longer a place people like to go.

Service was super friendly. Our two non-alcoholic Hefeweizen cold but without yeast. But not that bad can happen. Otherwise very satisfied as always. Recommend.

Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for our pizza. This then arrived cold at the place. The pizza itself was quite good. Service is unfortunately understaffed for the number of guests, but was friendly. Location itself very cozy and well furnished, clean.

Aposto has gone through some changes over the years (concept, etc.) and I actually enjoy going there. I just noticed that the menu needs a little more thought. Some food combinations are too exotic or simply colorfully combined (e.g. truffle pasta with mango sauce). It just always seems like you always want to produce/deliver something “new”. Sometimes it would be nicer if you stuck to the classics and paid more attention to the drinks. The mixing ratio is often different... sometimes too sweet... sometimes too little... and even though you have ordered two of the same drinks, one simply tastes different than the other... But the location is still awesome . Beautiful decoration at Christmas time and totally cozy and also a top place in summer with lots of options to sit outside. Service is okay, but sometimes very hectic, so you have to wait a while. But understandable and acceptable at full house. Overall, it just needs a bit of optimization.

Great atmosphere, nice and very warm service on December 22nd. Food great. It was just a bit much for us, but we were able to take it with us without any problems and even received an extra portion of sweets for our son. We will be back and can highly recommend the restaurant 👍👍👍 Oh and we really liked the house lemonade!!! 🥰

A wonderful place! We held our company party here and were thrilled. The food was excellent, the service quick and attentive. The waiters were incredibly friendly and contributed to an overall successful atmosphere. Absolutely recommended!

Despite the extensive staff, they didn't manage to serve us within a few minutes. We have now waited several times for more than half an hour for a server to order and when she finally arrived, it still took forever for the drinks to arrive. When you had enough after a long wait and wanted to go home, you had to wait forever for the service just to order someone who finally came to collect the money. I will never enter this juice shop again and cannot recommend it.

Very tasty food, incredibly attentive staff, very good service

We were there for breakfast. The Avo Maria bread was good, but there was no vegan version. The bowls were disappointing - there are a lot of ingredients on the menu, but you can't see any of them because they're apparently all in the bowl puree. The topping consisted of 6 slices of banana and a tablespoon of brown coconut chips and a sprig of mint. Lovingly and lavishly decorated topping, as is common in other restaurants - none. The bowl was also rather small, and 9 euros were charged for it. Wouldn't go there for breakfast again. But I always found lunch/dinner delicious.

Seit langer Zeit wieder im Aposto in Bamberg gewesen. Viel hat sich nicht geändert - musste es aber auch nicht. Der Gastraum unten ist weiterhin am Samstag Mittag gut gefüllt und der obere Bereich nicht geöffnet. Man sitzt recht zusammengepfercht auf dem genutzten Raum; manchmal sind die Gespräche zwei Tische weiter aber interessant ;) Die Bedienungen waren freundlich und bemüht die Gäste zeitnah zu bedienen, meistens gelang das auch. Essen und Trinken fanden wir gut. Das aktuelle Cocktailangebot mit den Pizzabrötchen definitiv über unseren Erwartungen für den Preis. Der Dessertturm könnte sich zu einem Geheimtipp entwickeln, der war richtig gut!

Lunch menu is highly recommended, location and atmosphere are perfect.

When we made a reservation for 6 people, after the group spontaneously grew, we were informed that the reservation would only include 6 people and that no more people could be served on Tuesdays. The restaurant was half full at this point. There were free chairs at almost all tables and some tables were not even occupied. Feels like a lack of tact in service and insufficient planning.

The light lager tastes wonderful. Pizzas also very good. Service very nice and attentive. Waiting times were a bit long, but that was certainly due to the rush at the weekend.

We didn't get a seat at a high table without a reservation on Saturday evening. Everything was fine, but the “Muskelprotz” pizza had to be criticized. This is a pizza calzone with fine salami, mushrooms and ham as well as salad. Unfortunately, in my opinion, there is far too much lettuce in it. It seems as if the pizza is only half topped and the other half is filled with salad. The name “muscle guy” is therefore misleading. In my opinion, “diet pizza” would be more appropriate. Otherwise it tasted good.
