If you are passing through Munich you may waste a lot of time here. The food was good, but it didn't justify more than an hour waiting when there were so few customers. They gave us the pizza along with other pizzas from people who arrived a long time later. I just don't understand it. I would also highlight that they are kind people.

Pizza is average at best, this restaurant absolutely doesn't deserve 4.4 stars. Dough is not good and reminds me more of tarte flambée. The cheese is cheap industrial cheese and not mozzarella. And the pizza isn't big either. So I definitely can't recommend it!

Not too much wait to go in even without reservation. Met the amazing Hannah Herzprung there as well, so all in all a good experience.

One of the best pizzerias in Munich, very centrally located on Sebastiansplatz or its connection to Rosental. Prices for Munich city center are very humane, service is attentive and extremely friendly. It's great to sit outside in the summer. Reservations are strongly recommended. Please note: the restaurant is open in the afternoon, but the kitchen is cold until usually 5:30 p.m.

Super cute place with very good pizza and salads. The lemon ice cream, served in a real lemon, is also highly recommended!! However, it is not easy to get or reserve a place.

The food is very good, very good pizzas, in the center of Munich and it is a bonus that the waitress is Spanish. Definitely recommended if you want to eat pizzas and also at a good price.

Slow service, in Italy it wouldn't have customers, but friendly and above all prices within the limits for the place, and good pizza!!! And I mean good! It's worth the wait if you like it subtle.

What an authentic pizzeria, we also had great weather, the food was delicious, great atmosphere, nice and relaxed, friendly staff. Small menu with varying pizza and pasta of the day, will surprise you.

We waited for ten minutes till we were allowed in. We waited another twenty minutes till they got our order. It's hot here with no ventilation and it's crowded. Every other table got free bread and we didn't. We didn't get any forks and knives and when we asked the waitress she had bad attitude She threw it on the table near us and rolled her eyes. Then we waited snother fourty minutes for our food which was mid. In conclusion don't support this disrespectful business

I have been a frequent visitor to the il grano Pizzeria for way more than fifteen years. I always liked the site, as it is off any busy tourist trails. And the pizza is simply out of this world. Yes, is IS that good. For a long time it also had the true looks of an off-road little village restaurant in the backwoods of Italy. Wooden cross, plastic statue of the Mother Mary and all. Only thing was: since it is a fairly small place, it was no good option for a stunt visit. Unless you brought time to wait or, even better, still found the chance to make a reservation up front. The place has since undergone a few changes, a bit of a modernising brush-up. The plastic madonna is gone and the music is no longer Italian standards, but English pop. All in good taste and style. And most importantly: the pizza is still out of this world. But while the Grano of the older days was more of an insider tipp and thus only rarely got jam-packed or rushed with visitors, today is s very different story. Unfortunately that has been taking the fun out of a visit. The line of people waiting to be seated is quite impressive on some days. And while the people, who are working in there, are very nice and are trying to do their best to live up to the increased traffic, everything seems pretty disorganised. I have been working in bars and restaurants when I was young. The first thing was, we learned, to have people seated and get them a drink asap. Not leave them stranded outside while there's several deserted tables waiting to get cleaned and have people seated there again. It also often is taking very long simply for someone to take up orders for the drinks. So, after you waited for a table, waited to place you orders, be ready to wait again for the drinks. And then, as on my past three visits there, it'll be another while for your food. On top of it all, I was confined to eating indoors the last four times I went there. I think that is, because waisting a small outdoor table on a single person, seems out of the question lately. I think, the organisation could use a review. Latest by the time, when visitors are approaching the bar indoors, because their table is lacking glasses, you know things are going south. I am truly hoping they are capable of some serious improvement. Otherwise I'll have to go find another place.

The waiting was so short. The food was amazing. The waiter's attitude was great. Is was so cold and nice inside. We got all of out forks and knives without having the waitress roll her eyes on us. NOT!!!!!! Awful service rude waiters and mid food. Dont come here unless you want to spend an entire day wating to be ecknoledged by the stuff and then getting eyes rollsd by them. Rude bad restursnt. Wont return for peace.

Nice pizzeria with very friendly, helpful staff! The restaurant itself isn't a feast for the eyes, but that's not what you come here for. There isn't as huge a selection of pizza as other places, but there's certainly something for everyone. The toppings per pizza are a little less than what I'm used to, there are usually only 2 to 3 different ingredients on it. Maybe that's intentional/original. Skill-wise they were definitely good.

The food came very quickly and was still really good, the service was very friendly and there was a very pleasant atmosphere.

Ich bin regelmäßig mit meiner Freundin im Grano und wir sind jedesmal mehr als zufrieden. Die Bedienung ist immer aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Das Essen ist richtig lecker, ob Salate, Pizzen oder das Tagesnudelgericht. Wir haben uns jedesmal richtig wohl gefühlt. Mitten in der Stadt dieses kleine Plätzchen zu absolut fairen Preisen. Der Grauburgunder ist empfehlenswert und Preis-Leistung top. Danke liebes Grano-Team für wunderbare Abende bei euch.

Food is average since pasta was over cooked. I felt like this could have been done easily at home. Didn’t expect this from an Italian restaurant. Pizzas were ok but there are way better ones in Munich. If you don’t have high expectations and are easily pleased then you won’t be disappointed but wouldn’t go again.

I really enjoy coming here. Super tasty pizzas, the seating is great and the service is always good. Today, however, it was unfortunately very unfriendly. We didn't have a reservation, so I went and asked the employee nicely if there was a chance of a place for three in about 15 minutes. There she said to me, currently only inside, she can't promise that anything will be free. I noticed that two men had ordered the bill from her, so I asked nicely if we could sit there when we came back in 15 minutes. The mushy answer was again, she can't promise it. 15 minutes later the three of us came back. A friend who was there then asked the same service employee nicely if there was a chance of getting 3 places. “You just asked me that” was the direct answer to my friend, she had mixed us up… Well, okay. After a few minutes we were kindly seated. Drinks and food were served quickly and were great. When paying, the employee described asked us whether we should pay together or separately. She came with the entire bill. A friend asked her if she should calculate something with her cell phone, I said to her or we'll just throw it together, what difference does it make? Then one look and the sentence “I just have to add it up.” Little use of the words please or thank you, which is a shame. Maybe in the future we'll just have to make a reservation and stop coming over spontaneously, maybe that'll relax the mood. We would still like to come back

Terrible service, you could only order drinks or food. Aperol is served in a mini glass. Uncomfortable plastic chairs outside. Kitchen opens at 5:30 p.m. Then of course you can't order food at 5:29 p.m. We then left without eating… never again

For some reason the store is always full, I live around the corner. From a hygienic point of view it's a total disaster, best regards to the waitress, put the lemon into the glass with a fork and not with your hand. My food was too salty, it wasn't worth waiting 30 minutes for the pizza.

Wir waren auf Durchreise in München und sind spontan beim schlendern am Restaurant vorbeigelaufen. Glücklicherweise haben wir noch einen Platz für 2 in der Sonne bekommen. Preis-Leistung ist für den Standort mehr als in Ordnung. Die Pizza hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir würden wieder herkommen!

We were there shortly before opening (11.25) and sat down at a sunny table. The employees passed us several times on their way between the warehouse and the café, looked at us and that was it. I had to go in and ask to order and was then served rudely ("My God, that was 5 minutes. You should actually ask before you sit down"). But for me it was about not being perceived as a guest. Was not understood. Bad service. I'm annoyed that I ordered something anyway. Don't come anymore.

Entro nel locale ed aspetto minimo 15 minuti prima che qualcuno mi degni di attenzione e mi chieda in quanti siamo. Dopo aver preso posto ed ordinato una pizza grano sono passati 20 minuti. Al suo arrivo aveva l'aspetto ed il gusto di una piadina. Alcun segno di minima lievitazione, bordo e centro completamente allo stesso livello e persino cruda. La rimando indietro. Mi ritorna una sfoglia più cotta di prima che si sgretolava mangiandola. Il prosciutto crudo è diventato prosciutto cotto dopo esser stato cotto in forno col risultato che ha accentuato ancora di più la sua sapidità. Il pomodoro era acido e dal gusto di concentrato. Ho mangiato perché avevo fame. Una pessima piadina farcita. Ovviamente non ci metterò più piede.

The Grano is simply great! Not too much choice, not too little and what there is is also good. Of course, it's always a bit cramped due to its size, but the service is quick and polite. The store simply has charm. It can sometimes take a while at lunchtime if everyone comes at once. Sitting outside is often a challenge. Firstly because there is rarely a free space and secondly because the sun shines quite strongly into the small alley. I can particularly praise the pizza. You have to look for a long time to find a more Italian version in Munich. Thin dough, coordinated toppings, high-quality ingredients. Exactly like that and no different!

Grano is actually a great shop. Good food, casual, simple, authentic and above all cozy, even if it's tight. If only it weren't for this infinitely unfriendly service. It's not that you won't be served there, no, that's fine, you just always have the feeling that you're a burden as a guest. It's just not fun. A few employees there simply have no idea how to treat a guest or don't know how to deal with guests normally. But like many restaurants in Munich, they simply don't care because people still come and the place will be full again the next day anyway. Best example of a service desert.

Roman pizza so very thin. Great toppings. Pasta also very good. Unfortunately always very crowded because it is very central but still quiet because of the pedestrian zone and also nice with children. Very nice and helpful service but you have to wait quite a long time to be seated.

Food and drinks were served very quickly. Service very friendly and professional. Portions of food good and quality. Prices increased like everywhere else. Overall, the pizzeria is recommended because smaller rooms make a reservation better.

Cozy little pizzeria with nice staff and very good prices for this location. We were only there for a wine, but we were so impressed by the atmosphere that we will come back more often. Very tasty house wine Rosé 😃 However, it was completely full, you definitely have to make a reservation if you want to stay longer.

One of the best places I've been to in Munich. They give great service, the background music is perfect and the food is excellent. The waitress with short brunette hair took great care of us and gives us very good energy. 100% recommended to eat in the center of Munich.

Wir waren 3 Tage in München und sind per Zufall auf dieses kleine authentische Restaurant gestoßen. Am ersten Abend war es soooo lecker und gemütlich, dass wir uns entschlossen haben am Tag der Abreise nochmals dort essen zu gehen. Wir genossen an beiden Tagen einen tollen Service und fantastisches essen. 🤩🤩🤩 Wenn man das Lokal sieht, ist es einem logisch, warum man dort nicht unbedingt mit Kleinkinder, Kinderwagen usw einkehren sollte. Völlig unverständlich, dass man das nicht akzeptieren kann, dass dort Kinder fehlen am Platz sind 🤦

Lieblingspizzeria in München! In unmittelbarer Nähe zum Marienplatz bekommt man ein traditionelles und einfach gehaltenes Italienurlaub Gefühl vermittelt! Es ist zwar schwer einen Tisch zu ergattern aber wenn man es mal schafft dann ist es wunderbar :) Die Bedienung ist unfassbar freundlich und sehr höflich! Eine klare Empfehlung!

Nur Kaffee getrunken (im Freien deshalb keine Sternevergabe für Ambiente) , der sehr gut war. Was ich aber als sehr störend empfinde, dass ich da vorm Lokal warten müsste und mir den Platz zuweisen lassen. Finde ich unmöglich!

There are italian restaurants in Munich, and then there is Grano. The menu is small, with the essentials. But they have pizza and pasta of the day. I ordered an amazing pizza with ricotta and aubergine, and let me tell you... you could even taste the olive oil of the pizza bread. I mean, FRESH AND GOOD QUALITY. My husband ordered a pasta with pesto, and it was so fresh it reminded me to my grandma making pesto with the basil from her garden. I have never been in an Italian restaurant here in Munich, that serves Cynar, which is for me the best Italian aperitif by far. The other surprise was definitely the price. For that level of ingredients and food it's way better than other places. So please, do not miss this place if you are in Munich, it's the best Italian restaurant for me.

We waited 30min for 2 pizzas, but ok it's a lot of people here. We ordered Margherita but it didn't have basil on it, I mean how can you not put it on Margherita, even on the menu it doesn't say it has basil... Tomato sauce was too sweet, dough was little bit salty, and it had too much oil on it, it was dripping. But it had a nice crunch, nice and thin pizza, maybe i would liked a little bit more done on the bottom. Overall rating for just the pizza: 6.6

Ich hatte eine Pizza margarita (9€)und eine Maracujaschorle (3,70$). Die Pizza war mir etwas zu ölig und der Boden ein bisschen zu dünn. Die Mitarbeiter sind nett, allerdings dauert es, bis man hier etwas bekommt. Ich habe 30 min auf die Pizza gewartet und 10 min auf den Tisch.

Spectacular. They mostly have pizza and only a few options. But they cater for all tastes, vegetarian, vegan as well as carnivores. They might offer the odd pasta dish as daily special. We all had pizza, 4 different toppings, and all came to the same conclusion. That it is absolutely worth visiting.

Aufgrund einer Tripadvisor Bewertung hab ich mir hier eine Pizza gegönnt! Das Lokal war voll, die Bedienung hektisch aber nett! Vor allem den syrischen Aushilfskellner möchte ich hervorheben!! Es hat etwas den Charme von Italien, die Wartezeit zum bestellen war ca 10 Minuten und die Pizza dann nochmals 30 Minuten! Für mich war die Pizza etwas matschig, der Belag gut und reichlich! Der Hauswein ist ok aber auch nicht mehr!!

Our pizza was delicious. However it was uncut...maybe that is a thing. We still stuffed ourselves since we had skipped lunch. We ordered right when the kitchen opened, so service was good and quick.

Pizza war geschmacklich gut aber so super dünn dass es als Hauptgericht nicht ausreichend war und ich danach noch Hunger hatte. Ich mag eigentlich schon dünne Pizzaböden aber das hier war nur ein Hauch von Teig. Einrichtung ist relativ simpel. Viel Flair hatte das Lokal nicht wenn man nicht die kleine Größe des Lokals schon als Flair bezeichnen möchte.

Lockere Atmosphäre. Wirklich italienisch im Geschmack mit tollen Zutaten. Service ungekünstelt und super nett. Kenne keinen netteren Ort in München

Comida excelente, casera, a buen precio y con carta sencilla. Ambiente acogedor, pequeña terraza y un local que respira autenticidad. Me encanta a mediodía, con su menú del día; día pizzas o dos pastas para elegir un plato por 11-12 euros sin bebida.
