What a shame, I come here regularly with clients or family. Up until now I've overlooked the owner's gruff manner, but today… I was there alone this time and didn't need a drink. Then the owner said you can't eat here without a drink 🤷‍♂️ Well, that was probably the last time I'll come here alone or with company.

Great atmosphere, very good food. The tables were quite close together and the service could be better. But I would definitely come back.

Perfect food. Attentive service. The chic ambiance has just the right touch of Italian flair. It couldn't be better. We've enjoyed our visits here for well over a decade. This place is among the best Italian restaurants we know. And we know quite a few. That's why we always love coming back.

We've never experienced anything like this! We had a reservation for six people, but a few arrived later, and we had already ordered. The unfriendly owner then told us that next time we'd have to pay €40 for each missing person. He also criticized us for only ordering small dishes, saying there had to be a minimum spend of €40. He claimed he'd given us the best table, but the restaurant was half empty anyway. I've never encountered such concentrated rudeness, not even in Munich!

It was my first time there, and I wasn't treated very well. The waiter seemed uninterested and initially ignored us, only coming to our attention after we asked him to. He also said that the cook didn't feel like making lasagna. Furthermore, the staff is only friendly to regular customers. We weren't even allowed to pay separately by card. Not recommended!

The quality of the food isn't very high; they use cheap ingredients (squeaky mozzarella, tomato sauce a mix of concentrate and béchamel), and the prices are high. The pasta dishes were also far too salty, and the pinsa was extremely oily. We waited a long time for everything, even though the restaurant was almost empty. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it.

We researched a pizza place while visiting on vacation from America. Our Google search brought us here. We do not speak much German and try to communicate as best as possible by pointing to the menu etc. Our server knew we spoke English but went through the menu in Italian. When we had no idea what she said, she repeated it in English. Only 1/2 the menu was available, kind of odd but whatever. Pizzas were not available but a pizza like dish was. They were like personal size pizzas and were very good. Our server was just not very nice and had zero patience for us (party of 4 in our 40s). We were not rude at all, we just tried communicating with her. When we got the bill there was a surprise 18% gratuity added. We ate at many places in the city as a group and nobody added gratuity. We typically tip pretty well, but this server did not deserve that. Edit: I was asked to remove my review but this is 100% where we ate and this 100% happened.

Very rude service, the tone was out of order several times, no rosé wine was available, items on the menu were simply not offered (e.g., pizza (ridiculous), far too expensive). Never again!

The food and atmosphere were both good, but the way we were treated in the restaurant will ensure that we never return. We had a reservation before an event we were attending in the area, and arrived somewhat early. We were shown to a table, and then apparently forgotten - no menu, no possibility of ordering drinks or anything else. A waitress, whose eye I caught in passing, said, "Be right there." This seemed to mean "In five minutes." Finally, when we were able to order (an appetizer and a shared pinsa), we were informed that there was a 3€ surcharge for sharing the pinsa! We were quite surprised. Checking the menu, we saw there was no mention of the surcharge. A more senior staff member came by, and told us in no uncertain terms that this was there policy to cover the incurred costs (of cutting a pinsa in two? Come on!) She said we could leave if we didn't agree to the surcharge. Not having any alternative that would allow us to make our event on time, we stayed. To my surprise, the food came relatively quickly, and was quite good. But the entire experience left us with a very bad feeling about the restaurant. The restaurant does mention in the menu that they don't guarantee allowing the customers to take uneaten food home. It seems the policy is to compel them to order more food than they can eat and throw away the rest?

Horrible!!! The boss was rude and brazen! He tried to force us to pay the entire bill, even though we wanted to pay individually. On top of that, the menu item I wanted wasn't even available. They also forgot to bring my coffee and it came with the bill instead of the tiramisu. I'm actually wondering where he got his reviews from, hanging in the window. Once and certainly not again. The customer is always king, but unfortunately, here it was just the idiot!

On a Monday evening, there was no pizza available... but Pinsa - totally great!

Had a lovely evening with my son and his girlfriend, enjoying delicious food. The ambiance is lovely, and the service is also excellent! Unfortunately, I couldn't finish my pinsa, and my son's girlfriend couldn't finish her pasta. When I asked for it, they packed up my pinsa to take away, but unfortunately, they didn't pack up the pasta because there was no container available, and the staff said it would be too much work! I find this incomprehensible, as I'm usually happy to pack up leftover food myself. From a sustainability perspective, this is incomprehensible. In many other restaurants, this is part of the service and completely normal! Here, however, I was given the impression that I was asking for something outrageous. I can't understand this, especially since I'm paying for the food!

A wonderful culinary experience! The ambiance is stylish yet cozy, perfect for a special evening. The wine selection is perfectly matched to the dishes, which are prepared with great attention to detail and top-quality ingredients. We were particularly impressed by the pasta and the excellent fish dishes. The service was attentive, professional, and very warm – you feel completely at home from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy Italian cuisine at the highest level!

Good restaurant for business lunches. I found the food okay but not outstanding. I had pasta with truffle sauce, but unfortunately I couldn't find any truffles—just the aroma. The appetizers were good, and so was the titamisu! My colleagues seemed satisfied.

Very disappointing - never again! We had an absolutely unacceptable visit to this restaurant. The host was extremely unfriendly and irritable from the start. For no reason at all, we were literally thrown out 40 minutes before the official closing time - with the excuse that he wanted to finish work early. This aggressive and disrespectful manner is completely unacceptable for a gastronomic company. Hospitality looks different. If you treat paying guests like this, you shouldn't be surprised about bad reviews. We will definitely not be coming back and would advise anyone not to visit this restaurant.

You could eat the food, the pinsa was very tasty. BUT for me, going out to eat also includes the feeling of what I get out of it. And that's not even worth a star! We were hit on so badly by the waiter (boss) because we were too loud for him (there were 7 of us who were having a normal conversation). The restaurant was otherwise empty. I've actually never experienced such behavior from a restaurateur - and again: we weren't a Malle party group, we were traveling on business.

Rosario and his team not only take care of the guests, but his chef puts fantastic food on the table. What you rarely experience these days is that the food arrives on the plate really hot. I had the evening menu which was fantastic from start to finish! The sea bass was grilled to perfection and the vegetables were on point. The half-frozen pistachio ice cream was incredibly delicious, and the pasta beforehand was also fantastic. We will definitely come back again and again because I haven't eaten Italian food this good in a long time!

Unfortunately you can't give zero stars. Great atmosphere, unfortunately terrible service, the owner (?) overwhelmed and unfriendly. The food was rather mediocre, definitely not a recommendation We were a larger group, so the conversation should be more lively this time and it should be understandable, whereupon the innkeeper (?) admonished us like a teacher.

Excellent food from appetizer to dessert, fresh products. A meeting of flavors and tradition that can only leave an indelible memory. The atmosphere, welcoming and refined, immediately put me at ease, with elegant but at the same time familiar furnishings. The staff, courteous and attentive, helped make our evening even more enjoyable, without ever being intrusive, but always ready to satisfy our every request. I can't wait to return to discover other delicacies and experience another special evening in this corner of culinary paradise. Recommended without reservations!

This is the second time I've eaten at the restaurant and it just blows me away. An evening menu (three courses), a starter, a main course, four Martini Bianco, a large water – for around 125 euros. For this quality and sophistication it is unbeatable. It doesn't look like it from the outside, but it's a cozy, family restaurant and the service makes you feel like you're in Italy. Highly recommended, and hopefully the restaurant will be around for many years with this line-up.

Top Italian, top food, top service Had dinner there for a birthday. All special requests with flowers on the table, gift presentation with dessert and main courses served as starters and accordingly smaller were all taken into account. This is not a pub where you can quickly drink a beer and eat a pizza, this is gastronomy at a high level. Price-performance ratio is also great. Prices are of course a bit higher, but you also get the corresponding quality. And portions are also big enough to fill you up. The boss and the waitress also do a great job

Very charming shop with great food and a great waiter, who is probably also the owner. Definitely recommended. We had beef with vegetables and the seafood noodles. Perfect cooking point and pasta with fresh fish.

the housemade caramelle pasta quality was amazing, perfectly chewy and tasty. beats the pasta i've tried at many italian restaurants in nyc. the staff appreciates if you do your due diligence and say grazie etc with your best italian efforts ;-)

Da Rosario Nuovo Mondo has simple and good Italian food which is reasonably priced. However, my rating solely relates to the their roguish and even fraudelent policy that forces a customer to order a drink regardless whether he/she wants it or not. According to the waiter a person MUST order a drink in addition to any dish he/she orders. This rule is written on the front page and relates only to the Lunch Menues. However, the rule does not apply to the main menu. After I explain this all to waiter he said „the rule should not be written anywere in order to take an effect“. Following his logic, he can come up with any rule he likes and try to enforce it. Summing up, the place is cozy and serves good food, but the greed and absence of common sense of the stuff and administration kills aforementioned positive feeling to it.

The food is absolutely affordable for this quality and the fine taste and you can tell that the owner is trying to bring a piece of Italy to Munich.. Which he certainly succeeds in.. We had a great evening on a sunny Monday evening near Rosario. The food was perfect and we didn't miss anything. Highly recommended!

Good food, but the waiter/owner was extremely rude and unwelcoming. I felt very uncomfortable in the restaurant, never again in the Nuovo Mondo restaurant!

You get very good food here, and every course was very good. The menu of accompanying wines was clear but well sorted. A very courteous service completes the picture perfectly.

It was 9:00 p.m. I had a long walk and saw this place for a break. There was an old waiter or the shopkeeper, I ordered a coffee and he said no coffee ( I asked him if he had a coffee machine, he said no and told me that there is another shop next door that you can find there ( I said no, I would like a glass of wine. The wine came. Then I go into the store to pay and there I see a coffee machine ( and asked him why you didn't give me coffee Answer: we don't have any German coffee, only Italian coffee. Very sad to be a foreigner and not like foreigners (no matter what nationality people are as long as that is the case). respect and politeness). Sometimes we have to take time to examine our feelings, humanity, our thoughts towards others and our mentality. Very unfortunate

Were there early in the evening and just wanted a little something to eat. We shared a pinsa 🍕 on two plates / salad 🥗 (Both extremely tasty, 😋kudos to the kitchen👍🏼👏🏼) and a bottle of water. We were then kindly asked whether we really wanted two plates, as that costs per place setting €3!!! (I thought it was only like that in Italy) When we then asked for 🌶️chilli and 🧄garlic oil, they said: “Costs €1.5 per bowl” Did we really want garlic oil too!! In a traditional, Italian, upscale restaurant, something like this should be included. We wanted to have another dessert, but with so many extras we decided not to. We were very friendly and accepted the extras requested. The boss kindly only charged us for one cover, for whatever reason.

Host crosses borders. I had my jacket lying on the window sill. The landlord didn't like that, so far it was ok. But instead of asking me to hang up my jacket, he actually "threw" it on the floor. Only after I asked did he pick up the jacket and finally hang it up.

Excellent food and very courteous staff. We ate a delicious menu. The sequence was very well coordinated and the portions were presented deliciously on the plate. I would like to go there again. My wife was thrilled. Of course that counts.

If you don't let yourself be put off by the first page of the menu, where Rosario presents itself as a noble Italian restaurant, you will be rewarded with really good Italian cuisine, not everything was great, but most of the dishes were. The child-friendliness was also really Italian, my granddaughter quickly got a small portion of Penne Bolognese, extra ice cream and a straw were no problem, but the atmosphere could be a little less noble Italian, i.e. more relaxed, but these are just small things.

The visit was so great and the owner is very accommodating, the food was also very fresh and delicious, I would love to come back!!

I had one of the best experiences here: came late and hungry, had no cash and asked (before ordering) to pay with card / for the closest atm. The owner said I should just pay later. I told him I can't because I am travelling and don't know when I will be back in Munich. He said to just pay him whenever I come back. Still owe him €10 and I will pay up when I come back. Ich komme schon seit einigen Jahren in dieses Restaurant und war nie enttäuscht - das Essen ist wunderbar und - ich finde - das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis ziemlich unschlagbar. Die Bedienung macht alles möglich und im Raum oder draußen fühlt man sich einfach wohl. Rosario ist ein leidenschaftlicher Wirt mit genügend Erfahrung um zu wissen, was seine Gäste wollen. Das Ristorante Nuevo Mondo Da Rosario ist eines der besten italienischen Restaurants in und um München. Die Speisekarte ist nicht übermäßig lang, aber das, was darin gelistet ist, ist durchwegs sehr sehr fein und immer wieder im besten Sinne überraschend. Selbst bei den jedermann bekannten Pasta-Klassikern wird man aufgrund der Frische der Zutaten immer wieder positiv überrascht, und man stellt fest, dass auch aus diesen relativ einfachen Gerichten ein besonderes Erlebnis werden kann. Die Lage - etwas abseits der betriebsamen und lauten Nymphenburger Straße - mag der Laufkundschaft oft verborgen bleiben. Da Rosario aber viel - und aus gutem Grunde - treue Stammkundschaft hat, ist das aber durchaus ein Vorteil, und das Restaurant ist regelmäßig gut gefüllt. Wenn das Wetter schön ist, sitzt man angenehm draußen auf der Freiterrasse, geschirmt von der Kornelkirschenhecke (die ich selbst vor 15 Jahren dort gepflanzt habe :-). Der Gastraum des Restaurants mit der langen Bar ist zurückhaltend elegant gestaltet - wohltuend ohne jegliches folkloristisches Chi Chi. Man fühlt sich wohl und wird - oft vom Chef persönlich - bestens und sehr aufmerksam bedient. Das gute Essen, die geschmackvolle Einrichtung und nicht zuletzt der sehr gute Service bilden eine überaus stimmige Kombination, die ich immer wieder als sehr angenehm empfinde. Das Restaurant ist auf hohem Niveau authentisch italienisch und unter diesem Aspekt immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen und tue das auch gerne und regelmäßig im Freundes- und Bekanntenkreis.

Wirklich gutes italienisches Essen das nicht zu überteuert ist. Alle probierten Gerichte waren fein! Das Tagesgericht war aus, klang aber mega! Nicht zu voll, bestimmt findet sich oft auch ohne Reservierung ein Platz. Habe gelesen, dass der Besitzer etwas ‚eigen’ ist. Wir als Gruppe Abends wurden gut behandelt. Trotzdem kann ich mir gut vorstellen, dass die aufgeführten Erfahrungen wiedergeben, wie es auch laufen kann! Also Vorsicht!

Sehr freundliches Personal und das Essen ist grandios! Alles wird frisch zubereitet und schmeckt sehr lecker. Außerdem sind die Portionen groß - Preisleistung stimmt hier wirklich.
