Food The fries have no texture. They're rather limp and unseasoned. The currywurst is an insult to anything from the Ruhr area. The curry sauce is mass-produced. The sausage isn't crispy. Price €12.90 is not reasonable. Charging an extra €0.70 for mayo is outrageous. The price should be €9.00, €10.00 max. If it's just mass-produced food, then it should be cheaper. Hygiene The tables are covered in crumbs. The walls are dirty. Even the benches, where decorations are placed inside, are covered in crumbs. Service It's friendly, no complaints there. Conclusion If you want to eat at all, you're better off taking the kids to a nearby snack bar. Even though it's called a restaurant, it's not a restaurant but a canteen selling mass-produced food. No wonder it gets such bad reviews.

At Chinalights, we ordered two bratwursts in a bun. The bratwursts and buns arrived in a cardboard tray. When we inquired, we were told this was normal and that we should cut the buns ourselves and put the bratwursts inside. Mustard was only available in small packets. So, for two bratwursts in a bun, we had one wooden knife, one cardboard tray, and two packets of mustard waste... I'm used to better service. This isn't exactly sustainable. The bratwursts were probably deep-fried; at least, fat was dripping from them. Taste-wise, they were among the worst bratwursts I've ever had. At €4.70 per bratwurst, I expected more. With good quality and friendly service, the price would be okay – but here it's not justified.

We ordered duck dishes for three people. We got one pizza, two gyros, and a salad. We spent ages complaining to the delivery man, who didn't understand anything, and a phone call to the manager was fruitless. We didn't accept the food. We'll never order there again!

The service was good, the drinks were good and reasonably priced, and the table decorations were beautifully arranged. Unfortunately, that was about all the good stuff. When we made our reservation, we ordered the 3-course menu, one with beef and one with vegan options, and we were confirmed over the phone that this was possible and had been noted. However, when we arrived, there were two menus with the same menu in front of us, each one featuring chicken as the main course. We explained that this had been arranged differently over the phone, and we were assured that we would now get one vegan menu and one with beef as the main course. Unfortunately, the vegan alternatives consisted of leftovers. The starter for both of us was a tomato cream soup that tasted like instant soup and also stuck strangely to the spoon. For the vegan main course, I was first served pasta with a filling that tasted of cheese. I had to ask again if the dish was really vegan, and it turned out that the filling contained mozzarella. The pasta was returned, and as an alternative, I was given quinoa and Mediterranean vegetables without any sauce. The latter was also present in my companion's main course. So I assume they simply cooked or warmed the quinoa and then served it with some of the vegetables left over from the other dish. The vegan dessert was a "fruit salad" consisting of grapes and apples, again without any dressing. Some apple pieces still had remnants of another dish clinging to them, which tasted strongly of garlic. There was also an apple with green skin, and an apple just like that was lying at the reception desk when we left. When we entered the hotel restaurant, two apples were still lying there.... Furthermore, some of the cutlery was crooked or unpolished. The three-course meal also took place at a table in the hotel bar, which had a pub-like feel, even though there was also a restaurant room. For the main course of beef, no one asked how the meat was cooked before serving. It was served well done, and we had to ask for a sharp knife. And all this in a 4-star hotel!
