Absolutely subterranean fries for far too much money and when asked why the bowl isn't filled, the regulations are referred to. Really pathetic.

Restaurant or snack bar with self-service. There are some seats, some with sun protection. The view of the elephant enclosure is great. The food not so much: rather a small selection. Fries are way too salty/spicy, especially for children, and the bratwurst isn't great either.

Worst bratwurst ever. Either days old or made in the deep fryer! When asked: supposedly freshly prepared... never... and of course very expensive!

Proud prices like at the airport. I can only agree with the previous speakers. A small family trip quickly becomes a financial hurdle for some people. Half a liter of water(!) for €3.55.

Cologne Zoo Wonderful Fries from Hellmanns so-so The view of the elephants is really nice. With appropriate adjustment, quality could be great.

Despite very little crowds, the food was not good for the very high prices. Fish and chips very greasy and without taste, fries partly cold.

I'm happy to pay more than usual at the zoo, but what you get here is just plain cheeky. The portions are a joke and at a horrendous price. For me this was the last time in this store.

Not bad food, good view whilst eating

Here you can see a fries/currywurst menu as well as fish and chips for a total of €27!!!!! Not only is the price a disgrace, the sausage tasted terrible and the so-called fish and chips (13.50 euros!!!) is a disgrace.

If the staff's T-shirts are dirty immediately after opening in the morning, I don't even want to look around the kitchen. So I only ordered one drink there.

I wanted to eat something small at the zoo, but saw that there was only unhealthy stuff. There really isn't anything more like fries. Expensive and probably from the TK. Of course, in a zoo that educates about plastic waste/sugar and fat/animal death, the healthiest food is served, including with practical disposable cutlery. Reusable is of course only optional and available at an additional cost. Then I enjoyed my apple. Better bring your own food.

Disgraceful!!!! For €20 you get two small fries here. A few drops of ketchup are sold as a portion for 0.70 cents. A water 0 5 costs 4€. All of the employees didn't feel like it and were nerfed. Hallelijah!!! Under no circumstances go here. This borders on fraud!!!

I've never experienced it so terrible. Listless employees, small mini portions for a lot of money and it didn't taste good either. Everyone around us felt the same way. The zoo should separate from this company!

I really liked the atmosphere, you can sit with a view of the elephants. There is a children's menu, prices are reasonable.

Pure rip-off, 150g fries with a limp currywurst + 0.5 soft drink for 11.85€, mayo costs 70 cents extra. In the kids menu they miscounted the nuggets, 3 instead of 4 nuggets. This is all absolutely outrageous.

The snack bar opens at 11:45, but you won't be able to eat until about 1 (!) hour later. Complete total failure.

The prices are really a disgrace... 2 euros if you want a portion of curry sauce with your already overpriced fries...

6.90 euros for a kids' menu consisting of a small hand of below-average fries and 4 dried-out chicken nuggets as well as a Capri Sun. Then another 0.70 euros for ketchup, which is just enough for 3-4 fries. impudence. Not recommendable.

I find €12.20 for such a small portion extremely cheeky. Currywurst was just fine. Staff was annoyed, like sleeping pills. For that price I'll never eat here again.

I don't know what to say, way too expensive and lying in bed with a stomach bug afterwards is great 👍 PS: no recommendation

My recommendation: bring your own food. It's cheaper and, above all, better. My conclusion: It's not worth it. The review: The newest zoo restaurant with a beautiful view of the elephant enclosure. And that's where the positive ends...unfortunately... Overpriced food. €3.50 for a “small” portion of soggy and over-salted fries. The size was more in the microscopic range. Plus €0.70 for two drops of mayo in a fancy edible cup. €13.50 for a portion of “Fish & Chips” that any connoisseur would run away from…. With remoulade... and the above-mentioned labber fries... Anyone who has ever eaten an authentic portion of fish & chips at a real chippy knows that a) remoulade doesn't belong on it, b) garlic mayo does, c) vinegar goes on the chips d ) Fries are not chips and e) the portion is insufficient for the quality and price. Who then also has something to drink. If you want to have it, you have to pay another €4.20 for a 0.5l soft drink. For a family of four, this can quickly add up to €50 or more for qualitative and quantitative crap. Outside the zoo, this “chip shop” (if you can call it that) wouldn’t last two weeks.

Totally disorganized! It's better to bring something to eat yourself, here you pay a lot and you don't even get the goods you paid for!

Fries have a strange aftertaste, nuggets were cold as if they had been fried an hour ago. All in all, too expensive and poor quality.

Absolute junk shop. They seriously charge 0.70 euros for a mini portion of mayo to lick off. Portion of fries 4.50 euros, currywurst 4.50 euros and a cola 4 euros. If the portions were decent, I wouldn't say anything. However, they are rather children's portions!

Fries are tasty but the size of the mayo/ketchup is homeopathic. Therefore there are massive reductions in price/performance

Quite good for a zoo, fries were ok too. You shouldn't expect gourmet food here either.

Price-performance for the fries with currywurst is underground. Limp fries, tasteless sausage, not enough curry sauce. Tried it once, definitely not again next time...

To be honest, I have never eaten anything so disgusting. I would give it zero stars. I would give it a cheeky choice of words. Employees insult small children and pull them down. Slushy tastes like chemicals and feels poisoned. Employees have the feeling that they are attacking my wife and my two daughters I'm sorry, but last time it was something so disgusting, something like that should have been thrown out, so honestly it's just bad like today's young people are, never again, the boss of the chip shop was never the employee who insulted my children, I don't have any more words for IMPORTANT: Description of the 2 women black hair brown eyes and probably Turks or southerners this is my opinion and it's not meant to be racist but it gives me such a headache 😡

I would prefer to give zero stars, the best thing about this so-called chip shop is the environment, outside of the zoo the shop wouldn't survive for three days. Limp fries high prices! Previously double portion of better fries for half the price!
