Pizza Social Club in Hamburg

First of all, the Bresaola pizza was really excellent, we would come back for that alone. What really surprised us was the disappointing buffalo mozzarelle bruschetta. It was ONE small slice of bread with two even smaller slices of mozzarella and some tomato and dry arugula. Without spices or anything else. Why are you offering something like this for €7? The red wine is served in white wine glasses, which is a bit of a shame for the good wine. The Shiraz was very tasty. The staff tried very hard, but sometimes seemed a bit stressed. There was generally a lot of hustle and bustle in the store. We were there on Saturday evening. The audience is very young, early to mid-20s. It has a bit of a sense of seeing and being seen, fair enough if you like it. It’s also a “social club”. Being in our mid-30s, we were among the older guests. The tables are lined up very close together, so you have to be careful not to tip anything over when you get up. I think the aim is to “socialise” yourself. The music system and the playlist are excellent, we really liked it. All in all, the store has its place, especially for people under 30.

I went there for the lunch menu and I have to say: A pizza, a drink, and a dessert for €14 – you really can't beat it. The pizza tasted good, the service was friendly, and the prices were fair. I enjoyed it and can definitely recommend it!

I’m not a huge fan of pizza, but this one was incredibly good and delicious. The dough was really similar to real pizza in Italy. Atmosphere was great, but in weekends it’s a little bit too noisy because of the crowd, but it was not really a big problem. The interior is really cozy and nice.

Solid, authentic Neapolitan pizza. The starter is a bit small for €7.90. Otherwise, everything was good.

Good pizza in Winterhude. The menu is straightforward. The prices are above average. The food, however, was delicious. The service was good, but the ambiance was rather average for the prices. I was able to pay conveniently by credit card. American Express is also accepted.

Really incredibly good pizza and drinks. The service could be a little better, a few months ago we were sitting at the window in the evening and had to ask about 4/5 times for the waitress, who was very listless in her job.

I recently visited this charming pizza restaurant for lunch, and I was thoroughly impressed! The ambience was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The combination pizza deal they offer, with options like tiramisu or espresso along with a soft drink or juice, is fantastic. I opted for apple juice and passion fruit juice, both of which were refreshing and flavorful. As for the pizza, it was absolutely delicious. I tried the truffle veg pizza with a white sauce, and the red sauce veggie pizza, both of which were bursting with flavor. The sauce on both pizzas was amazing — rich, tangy, and the perfect complement to the toppings. To top it all off, the tiramisu was perfect — light, creamy, and just the right balance of sweetness, and it’s vegetarian too! I truly enjoyed my experience here and would highly recommend it to anyone craving delicious pizza in a cozy atmosphere. Definitely a place I’ll be recommending for pizza lovers..

Got a table today without a reservation. Service great! Pizza good! But where we sat, the table was really small and it was really tight and right next to the people at the next table. We joked around with them about it, but it wasn't pleasant to eat or have a conversation with. It was also very loud... I won't go there again...

Delicious pizza and great service... but here you feel like you're in close touch with the other guests because the tables are so close together that there's hardly a gap and they're close to each other with strangers sitting there.

Unfortunately, our visit to the Pizzeria Social Club was a big disappointment. The pizza was completely burnt - both the base and the edge - and didn't taste convincing at all. This has nothing to do with a real Italian pizza! The waitress asked immediately after serving if everything was OK, before we could even taste. After that we were ignored the entire evening, no one came to ask if everything was okay. After 10-15 minutes you could actually have expected someone to stop by again, but none of that happened. The staff seemed stressed overall and at 8 p.m. they seemed to be preparing for the end of the day. The music was also way too loud, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. The restaurant is definitely overrated - lots of advertising, but the quality leaves a lot to be desired. I definitely won't go here again.

Disappointing visit to the pizzeria that boasts 'best pizza town'. The portobello has raw mushrooms and a very burnt base. Sin!

The service was very attentive and quick - great! The pizza was very tasty and really well topped. Unfortunately there is a star deduction for the loud music. Unfortunately, it's not possible to have a conversation there because people can't understand each other because of the very loud music. One had the impression that the operator planned it that way so that people would leave quickly after eating so that the waiting guests could get a seat at the entrance.

Real Napoli pizzas! Delicious cocktails

We've been wanting to try the store for a long time. The waitresses were all very friendly and our order was taken quickly. The pizza was okay in terms of taste, but the base was soggy and the lush edge was unfortunately still partially raw on the inside. The store is acoustically challenging when it is full. The sanitary facilities are an imposition. The entire basement smells strongly of sewers. Unfortunately the first and last visit for us.

We can't understand all the great reviews. The restaurant is nothing special in itself... There are nicer restaurants in this area in Hamburg, with a better menu and more selection. Unfortunately, the food was just so-so... We didn't find it comfortable there either, as it was simply too small. In addition, some of the staff were really unfriendly, especially the gentlemen in the group. It's just very hyped, so they don't seem to be making that much effort anymore because new guests are always coming anyway. But it tasted better somewhere else and the appreciation was different too. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the restaurant

Even after it opened a few years ago, I couldn't understand the hype surrounding the pizza at the Pizza Social Club. Yesterday, after Friday shopping, my stomach was hanging in the back of my knees in the late afternoon and I gave the store a second chance because of its central location on Mühlenkamp. I can say in advance: There definitely won't be a third chance! A Neapolitan pizza is characterized by a thin base, an airy, soft yet crispy (!) edge and simple and high-quality ingredients. THE OPPOSITE was the case: The thick edge looked crispy due to the typical burn marks, but was limp and doughy (became more and more in the mouth) and was anything but crispy! I cut it out completely. (The waiter's comment: "At least the dough has risen.") What was left was the far too salty salami floating in tough mozzarella and average-tasting tomato sauce. I didn't take any photos - unfortunately the hunger was stronger and drove it in. That was also the reason why I didn't [as I usually do| I complained immediately, but only when the waiter asked when it was cleared away. Nice gesture: The young man offered me a cappuccino to make up for it. Sorry, but even the cappuccino was a disaster! It was a cup of latte filled to the brim. Dense milk foam in the middle of the cup with a clear brown espresso rim? Unfortunately none! In short: In my opinion, the Pizza Social Club Hamburg is a visually better snack bar with loud hipster music, which may be great for very young people who also [and as is well known] no longer have any idea about good quality food. They can simply be fobbed off with €15 (!) for a bad (!) salami pizza and they also think it's great. I find that sad!

So first of all: I like the pizza here, it's nice and "doughy" on the edge with the characteristic bubbles and dark spots, just Neapolitan style pizza. Drinks also tasty, but quite expensive. The staff has always been friendly. I really like the interior and atmosphere. What I complain about: - The price: Is really high. - Reservation not possible: You cannot make a reservation here. This concept doesn't make sense to me. So it's a gamble whether you get a table. And the people waiting in the entrance make it very restless when you sit there. No shop to linger here for a long time and have peace and quiet. It's rather loud. - The toilets: Dark, don't seem particularly clean and it smells very unpleasant, as if there was a sewage problem.

Waited 30 minutes for a bottle, then they forgot to forward the pizza/order, so we had to wait a total of over 50 minutes for the pizza. The pizza was really just mediocre, very “soupy”, super airy on the edge but also pretty empty/little dough. There really are better alternatives in Hamburg.

The lunch menu offers a fair selection, but additional costs are charged for various services without prior information. On the way to the toilets you are greeted by an extremely unpleasant smell that spoils your appetite.

Our favourite pizza in Hamburg, unfortunately that means there is often a queue on the weekend. Located in central Winterhude, parking is a bit difficult to find at times.

This was my second time here. As always, the pizzas are very tasty and powerful, a little more expensive. The pumpkin pizza is highly recommended!! Staff is very nice. But it is quite loud here and you have to be lucky with a place. The toilets are not really good, dirty and smelly.

If you're looking for a quiet place to feast, this isn't the place for you. Very loud ambience with dynamic music, which is intentional. It's nice for an evening for two or a group, but incredibly tiring to entertain. Food is delicious and is a huge pizza. Service from very nice to okay. There are hardly any parking spaces on the street unless you are very lucky.

Average pizzas, conversation is hardly possible due to the loud music

We ordered a margherita pizza (€12), a salami (€15), a 0.2L coke (€3.50) and a 0.4L lemonade (€5). Total cost €35.50. The pizzas are good, although perhaps the edges were still slightly raw. A tip, it wouldn't be bad to have pizza marinara on the menu, and it would be excellent if Neapolitan salami was used. Drink prices are high even for Germany average. A 0.20L Fritz-Kola costs €3.50, while the 0.33L one is usually given the same price. The environment is modern, well furnished. However, I would avoid keeping the door open when it's cold outside, as a lot of air comes in. Furthermore the music is too loud and annoying.

We keep coming back, which speaks for the super delicious pizzas and dips! The service in the summer took a while last time, but they shine with their friendliness and delicious taste!

We were in the restaurant this evening and all I wanted to say is that the young lady Linda was really professional and friendly, very rare to see these days!

The food is super good!! We each had a pizza and both were really good. Very fresh and great taste. Even though the store was really busy, the service was quick and very friendly. However, it's not really suitable for a (first) date and here we come to the only point of criticism: it's super loud! You can hardly have a conversation - it's like an Abercrombie with, for a restaurant, relatively loud house music. Depending on how you feel, it's a top or, unfortunately in our case, a big flop when it comes to the mood. But it's a matter of taste. Otherwise really great!

Very tasty and fresh pizza. The dough is super soft and tastes really good. The service is also friendly, courteous and attentive. The only downside is the loud music in the restaurant. It's already very crowded - which makes it even louder. The blaring music doesn't necessarily have to be there.

Took 35 minutes for the pizza to arrive, and it was so soggy and mushy. Disappointing. I complained to the staff and all they had to say was that they are sorry.

The pizzas are good, but the service is terrible. The restaurant was almost empty, and we waited an eternity for the pizzas. The people who served us were not the least bit friendly. The staff seems like a group of arrogant college students. Delays can happen, but at least be polite, inform the customers, and apologize. We won’t be coming back.

As an Italian it's always nice to find places abroad where you eat like at home. Excellent dough, pizza menu with few choices, but all well thought out and very tasty. The venue also makes a good impression. Ps: in Italy we don't drink the non-alcoholic Nastro Azzurro, but I see that in Germany it is very popular

The pizza sauce tastes like tomato soup in a hospital. The benches outside are so high and uncomfortable that it's hard to describe. The waitress keeps looking over your shoulder to see if you've finished eating. Inside, it doesn't smell like food or herbs, but an old tenement house. I don't recommend it.

I can't comment on the food because we didn't eat at all and left because of the behavior of the staff. I was laughed at because I wanted a pizza without tomato sauce. I've been able to order this in every restaurant so far. I can't understand why they couldn't leave out the sauce. After we ordered, the waitress came back and said it wasn't possible. Then another waitress immediately came who brought cutlery and the two of them laughed together when the first waitress said: SHE just wants bread with salami and cheese without sauce ha ha ha ha. After I asked why there wasn't any sauce can be left out and my friend also asked a question about the pizza bread, we were asked if we had even read the menu. I have never experienced such impudence in my life. I've only seen the way this lady behaved when she was 12 years old. We were asked to pay for the drinks because the order had already been placed, even though we couldn't get the food we ordered. We then left. Very unfortunate. One of the best places to eat pizza

It was my first time eating pumpkin pizza and I will definitely come again to Pizza Social Club for it. Surprisingly it tasted very good, even though it got no cheese. For vegans there are two kind of pizzas. One is more classical with different kind of vegetables. But I decided to give a chance to the pumpkin vegan pizza and I haven’t regretted for a second. Optionally I can add truffle creme (for 2 EUR extra) or fresh truffle on top (for 7 EUR extra).

Food good, no reservation possible. Sunday, 2:30 p.m. good choice of seating. Staff but fearfully unfriendly. No “Hello, nice to have you here, here are your cards”, they were simply thrown at us. During the last visit in the evening hours when there was significantly more stress, the staff was very friendly. A pity.

At 5 p.m. the restaurant was still almost empty, so we got a nice seat right by the window. We were served very friendly. The pizza was really tasty, the tomato sauce tasted homemade and the dough was nice and thin with fluffy edges. Unfortunately we arrived an hour late for lunch time. From 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. you can save a lot, a Pizaa for €12 including table water. For certain pizzas you have to pay an extra charge, but it's always cheaper than outside lunch time. If you want to enjoy a good pizza in a nice environment, this is the place for you.

We were finally there. I got this tip and should try the truffle pizza straight away. I know really good pizza shops, but I have to be honest and say that I was pleasantly surprised. Delicious pizza, not the best I know in Hamburg, but still absolutely good quality, doesn't change the 5 stars, it's just because I know my way around pretty well ^^ The ambience is quite chic, aesthetic and compact. The name “Social Club” totally fits. The service was friendly. I definitely felt comfortable. The prices normal. The usual. I say thank you very much!!! Very good spot for all Winterhuders 🙌🏻🙏🏼 My tip is the truffle pizza and the basil lemonade as a drink! 👏🏻

Burrata pizza is really great!🍕

The ambience and taste of the pizza were solid to above average. What was noticeable was that with only 5 tables occupied at the same time, the waiter's motivation and the pace were very questionable. There were no smiles or friendliness, no ashtray was offered when smoking was obvious, and the waiter took permanent smoking breaks (06/25/2024 starting at 3:30 p.m.). In terms of taste, it's really worth coming back, but the service ruined everything, so I'd like to visit again!

And the bresaola was somehow so tough and not tender. It's a bit of a shame, but it could have just been a one-off situation.

A large, chic and always busy pizza restaurant on Mühlenkamp. The outdoor spaces are very popular when the weather is good and are ideal for listening and being listened to. But that alone is not enough to be happy. Fortunately, there is an excellent pizza that is prepared in a huge oven that is visible to everyone and operates in the lower temperature range at 360°C. I immediately realized that the temperature was sufficient when I had a deliciously smelling and steaming pizza in front of me just a few minutes after ordering. A little thicker at the edge, wafer-thin in the middle and with the pleasing bubbles in one place or another. Since I'm a big fan of pasta carbonara, I ordered the local interpretation as a pizza. Very pleasing: Pancetta instead of "normal" bacon and egg with creme fraiche instead of cream. Most spaghetti carbonara providers should take a look at this... The pizza was very good and was eaten in no time. Plus an Angelo Poretti on tap. Perfect! Oh yes: Open every day from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. but reservations are not possible. The latter isn't a bad thing, as there are lots of places and things become available relatively quickly. If you like to sit at the counter and eat, you can almost always find a place here. Of course the pizzas are also available to go.

I had a delicious but somewhat burnt pizza with black bubbles. But it was OK. I went for lunch because the price was reasonable and there was a glass of water with it, which I find very commendable. The ambience was good but a bit noisy. all in all recommended 👍

Delicious pizza & salad but loud music was playing

The store was recommended to us. First we asked if there was a delivery service, which was answered in the negative. That wasn't too bad, so we decided to take the bus and eat there. According to Google, the store is open until 11 p.m. Since our connection was bad, we called several times from 9:45 p.m. to pre-order the pizza (in case the kitchen closes at 10 p.m.), but no one picked up. When we arrived at 10:05 p.m., the MA told us that the kitchen had been closed for a while because there wasn't much going on. Unfortunately we went there for free. Please urgently adjust opening times or inform employees.
