Nice restaurant, but perhaps the menu is a bit too extensive. The sushi was very good. The wok and curry dish were nothing special — they lacked flavor and the chicken pieces were quite large. A bit smaller would have been more flavorful. What was really not okay, though, was the mice. We saw two of them: one running back and forth through the kitchen, and another one on the stove under a pan. It was at the end of the evening. There didn’t seem to be any staff around to report this to, so we just went home.

The short version: Very tasty, definitely try it! The long version: We were there with a small group during the week and had a leisurely meal. The waitress responded promptly and helpfully to our spontaneous change in the number of group members upon arrival. That's not something you often find in busy restaurants. Overall, the service was very friendly and courteous without being intrusive – just right for my taste. We received our ordered drinks very quickly. The homemade lemonade was delicious, and from what the others said, the long drinks and cocktails were also quite lively. The food consisted of various dishes. Everyone ordered something different, and since you can swap with others and the owner expressly encourages you to do so, you can get a wide selection of gyoza (small fried dumplings), sushi, surimi, and sashimi. The other dishes, which found their way to our table after a pleasingly short wait, were also very well received. My personal favorite was the Spicy Salmon Roll. The Crunchy Chicken Roll, served warm (fried or baked in a tempura coating), ranks right behind it. The menu also offers a sufficiently large selection for vegetarians. Prices wise, the Chili Club is a bit above the mid-range. But the high quality of the food more than makes up for it. The restaurant itself is modernly decorated in various shades of red. There are different areas, some wide-open with high ceilings, others more closed and cozy. So there's something for every taste. Overall, a clear top rating from me. This was my first visit, but definitely not my last.

Plenty of outdoor seating is available with a beautiful view of the canal toward the Elbphilharmonie. A relaxed atmosphere. Clean restroom facilities.

My regular evening spot if I'm checking into the neighboring hotel during the day. With the view and good weather, I prefer to eat on the terrace. The service, food, and drinks are good.

Hello, we're from Zwickau. We were here today on September 25th and were absolutely satisfied. The service was very prompt, super fast, and very tidy. The restrooms were extremely clean. We'd be happy to come back anytime. Highly recommended. It was a total coincidence that we found the place, as there's no advertising for it (it's very hidden in HafenCity). So we were extremely lucky.

At the end of the canal, nice and quiet, away from the tourist crowds, you can chill here. We didn't eat, but the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were able to sit on the steps with our Aperol and watch the evening sun reflect off the Elfi.

Nice view of the Elbphilharmonie in the shade of the umbrellas. Unfortunately, the butter chicken I ordered tasted very strongly of broth and was quite runny. The portion sizes were good for the price, though.

Every year when we visit Hamburg, we eat at Chiliclub at least once. It's fantastic there. The food is outstanding, the staff is super friendly and always brings a dog bowl for our dog. The atmosphere is just right. The Lillet is perfect there. We can definitely recommend it!

We came here for dinner with a larger group. After it got too cold outside, which offers a beautiful view of the Elbphilharmonie, we were able to move inside without any problems. Nice ambiance. The food, however, was a disappointment. It has absolutely nothing to do with any Asian cuisine. It's more like German cuisine in an Asian trench coat. A total failure. I'd rather go to Dahan, 100 meters away.

The restaurant isn't really nice inside, despite its good location. The tables are separated by plastic partitions. The chicken skewers with peanut sauce and the edamame were very tasty, and the Sauvignon Blanc was also delicious. However, I can't think of any more positive words. I have no choice but to give you one star. The sushi was a disappointment. For over €60, I expect freshness and quality – instead, the salmon was completely cooked, tough, and in no way marked as "cooked" or prepared in any other way on the menu. It also came with unripe, hard avocado. When we pointed this out to the waiter, he dismissed it with a flippant, "Would you like another coffee? I'll give it to you." We declined and left the restaurant disappointed. What the restaurant couldn't have known: It was our anniversary. Unfortunately, a special occasion turned into a rather unpleasant evening.

Two of us went to the Chilli Club Hamburg in Hafencity today. Actually, it was just by chance because the Westfield Center was completely overcrowded. A very good coincidence, as it turned out. Ambience: It's a really beautiful place, with a few visual highlights. The back area (where we sat at a table for two) had lovely ambient lighting that gave it a slightly "Asian lounge" feel – a truly lovely restaurant. Food: We had the Duck Street Food Style and Crispy Chicken Bowl – see pictures – and honestly, for the price, it was simply amazing food! A real visual highlight in itself. The portions are truly huge and the taste is absolutely amazing. For starters, we had the Gyoza Mix (dumplings), which were also very tasty – especially the dip! Service: 5 stars here, too. Super fast (like, really fast), super friendly, and all in a relaxed yet professional manner. The drinks arrived almost immediately after ordering, as did the appetizer, and the actual food arrived really quickly too. Really good! Value for money: The meal cost just under €20 per person + €11 for the dumplings... so just under €55 for two people, for the meal, really very good. Verdict: Absolutely recommend it!

Good food, but clearly not worth the price. Service was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the brick facade and electrical boxes are very depressing. No view, and the acoustics are poor even at half capacity.

Expensive, very small sushi rolls, everything tasted rather bland and dry, including the yakitori sticks. In April, the entire terrace is in the shade after 6 p.m. But you can certainly have a good time here for a drink during the day.

First of all: the food tastes really impeccable. The sushi we ordered tasted fresh and delicious and there was nothing wrong with it at all. But: the portion sizes are really much, much too small. It's simply not possible to not be full for two people for 65 euros. The sushi ship we ordered is declared for two people, but the rolls are small, cut super narrow and simply don't fill you up. A positive mention should be made of the nice service lady who took our criticism very professionally and was really very nice. There is still a bit of disappointment.

Had some sushi here as snacks and I can see the appeal with the nice location, alfresco style sitting in the spring sun, people watching. Sushi was okayish, kinda German tailored although I did not order more than 2 dishes to make fairer comparison. Service staff were great and polite. Overall good experience.

Unfortunately, not even average anymore. I had take away “duck” for €22.50, which I thought was expensive for this restaurant. I threw away all the food, completely gristly and fried and inedible. Since it's difficult to give anything back at take away, I wrote a nice email to which I only received a generic answer after asking again. In short; a chef sees what the sliced ​​duck looks like and what is served to customers.

Very nice restaurant in HafenCity that unfortunately doesn't quite live up to the name. At Chilli Club the expectation was to eat something that wasn't spicy and to sweat a bit 😅 Unfortunately the hottest was the chilli flakes, which has to be mentioned. Otherwise you eat great 👍

Stay away - absolutely disappointing! I was there on Friday lunchtime with my boss and a colleague to celebrate the company's birthday. I ordered a mixed sushi platter with the explicit note: “No raw fish please.” When the food came, raw meat was clearly visible. When we asked the service, they initially said: “It should be chicken.” – so raw chicken?! The waitress took the plate away without comment, came back without any feedback and at some point put the food back down - apparently overworked. No explanation, no apology. Nothing was even said when paying. No “sorry for the mistake”, no “this shouldn’t happen”.. nothing. The fact that my sushi contained raw chicken is not only a mistake, but a health risk - especially with poultry. The fact that you then act as if this is completely normal is simply irresponsible. This was definitely the last visit for us.

A really very good meal that is served here. On the one hand we had the appetizer platter, see picture, but also the sushi boat. Both incredibly tasty and more than enough for two people ^^ Service was also a smooth one. Very accommodating, friendly and always trying hard. Attention was paid to extra sausages and we even asked for breaks between courses, which was quite good for us. The waiting times are also quite quick.

First of all: We were there on March 7th. (Friday) there. The service was really so so so great. It couldn't have been better, we felt really comfortable and had a really great evening. Our waitress recommended the perfect items and really did a great job. The food was delicious and the cocktails even more so. It was a really successful evening - I can only recommend it to everyone. :)

The sushi is just really good and the location of the restaurant is also great. I also like the service, attentive and quick. Unfortunately it is quite loud and the tables are quite close to each other. But the food is definitely worth a visit!

The food was a failure. Since there is almost only sushi with fried ingredients, we ordered sashimi as a starter and 1 curry as a main course. The sushi menu is really a disgrace. The sashimi was cut too thick and served way too cold. There was no wasabi and only green horseradish paste was served upon request. But the taste of salmon and tuna was okay. The curries were both extremely tasteless and contained ingredients that have no place in a real curry. The chicken was dry and tough, the beef was good. For dessert we had the crème brûlée, but it was made without real vanilla. Like the rest of the food, it was quite tasteless. Overall it was a very disappointing visit. The food is really not good, the service is just ok and the ambience is actually quite nice. Once and never again...

Unfortunately my visit to this restaurant was a disappointment. Despite having a reservation, I received a very cold welcome and felt like I was out of place. The service was unprofessional: mistakes were not even apologized for and the staff were rather rude. It was particularly unpleasant to see the wait staff whispering about the guests while rolling their eyes instead of concentrating on their work. The entire atmosphere was unpleasant and marred the entire visit. There are many restaurants with much better ambience, where the customer really is still king and the staff simply do their job properly. Definitely not here. Very unfortunate.

My restaurant review refers to our visit on Friday, January 3rd, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.: I've been to Chilli Club a few times because I found the food tasty. I found some of the service staff to be awkward when dealing with guests, but I ignored that because working in the catering industry can be very strenuous. Unfortunately our visit last night was very disappointing. We were seated at a table in the cold entrance area, even though the restaurant didn't seem to be full and I immediately asked if there was anything available at the back? My question was answered by the service person (female, blonde) with "Everything in the back is full!" dismissed. After about 10 minutes I asked again if we could sit somewhere else because it was very cold at the front. To my surprise, I was now informed that everything at the back was free. It was frustrating to find that we were seated at this uncomfortable table while other seats were available. Then suddenly we were offered a table in the main area. Since my girlfriend was very tired and hungry, I initially gave in to staying there, but was then quickly able to convince her that we would just warm up with a quick cup of tea and then leave. We didn't eat anything else here. We felt uncomfortable throughout our stay and felt like we didn't receive the same level of appreciation as other guests. I hope the restaurant reflects its etiquette and equal treatment of all guests to create a more open and respectful atmosphere in the future. By the way, grown women - I'm 50 years old and a doctor - with "have a nice evening, girls!" Saying goodbye isn't very classy either - this message goes to the waiter (male, southern-oriental)! The four of us shared two “sashimi sushi ships” and were very happy with them. There was also creme brulee for dessert. It was also super tasty. If I could wish for something, it would be sensible beer glasses. Otherwise I have nothing to complain about... on the contrary.

The food was tasty, but the atmosphere and service were mediocre during our visit. The room is very high and the tables are quite close together. Although there were only a few tables occupied, it was quite loud and, to be honest, uncomfortable, and the dimmed lights didn't change that. Despite the manageable number of guests, the service was relatively slow and there were also small errors when ordering. No drama at all, but nothing mind-blowing either.

We reserved a table at 8.30pm on Saturday evening. When we arrived, the restaurant was already very empty. We ordered and our food came quickly. At 9:30 p.m. we were the last guests, which is why we just wanted to drink up and then pay. The waiters cleaned all the tables around us, even put the chairs up and started cleaning the floor. I haven't experienced that yet. How much can you show your guests that you should please leave immediately? The restaurant is actually open until midnight. We felt very uncomfortable, paid and left. Not a nice experience, plus the food was mediocre and the prices were high. It's a shame, I always liked going to Chillis.

Then we waited another 10 minutes until we got our 4 drinks (2 small cola, coffee, small beer). The coffee came without milk... the waitress wanted to bring it to us... After 5 to 10 minutes we went in ourselves, otherwise the coffee would have gotten completely cold. When we asked for the milk inside, we were only met with a rude 'Go back out, your colleague will bring it to you.' accommodated. We didn't want to be satisfied with that anymore and waited there for so long until we were finally given the milk. Now to pay... when our drinks were brought, we immediately asked for the bill, because we didn't want to wait another 30 minutes. When the bill came the shock: €28 and a few cents. How can that be for 4 (small) drinks? Even though we had to order without a menu and didn't see the prices, around €7 per drink (coke, coffee, beer) still seemed strange to us. When we asked, we were told it was €28. So we asked for the bill and not just the amount and lo and behold... a wrong bill. After this error was fixed, it was only around €12. Shouldn't the staff know the approximate prices and see this significant error when asked? Absolutely unbelievable. In summary: Unfriendly staff, extreme waiting times and incorrect invoices. We're definitely not coming back.

Once again it was hello, hello Hamburg and also hello, hello Chilli Club. Discovered by chance on one of our trips to Hamburg and has been a constant address when we are in the city ever since. We had reserved an appointment online, which worked without any problems. When we got there we were warmly welcomed and escorted to our table. The service deserves 10 out of 10 stars, fast, friendly, attentive and everything in view. As a small example, my girlfriend didn't want dessert and I ordered the cheesecake. When it came there were 2 forks in case my girlfriend wanted something. A really top service, thank you again. A huge thank you also goes to the kitchen. The food was a dream, quickly at the table, super tasty, well prepared and fresh. There were 2 starters (gyoza, mini spring rolls), 2 main courses (sushi div, bowl) and 1 dessert (cheescake), pictures attached. The restaurant itself is a bit dark, but it absolutely fits in terms of style and furnishings. Prices are a bit high but absolutely justified for the location, the service and the quality of the food. Please keep it up and see you on our next Hamburg tour.
