Today was schnitzel day, and we ate one schnitzel in the traditional style and one in the Holstein style. Both were delicious, but we couldn't finish them. Highly recommended! We sat outside in the sun. The view of the harbor is great.

Friendly staff and delicious coffee. The excellent service is especially noteworthy. With true pirate honor, the "crew" agreed to go ashore and mail a forgotten postcard. Thank you so much!

Such a great restaurant. We had kale and a burger. It was a culinary delight. And we really liked how dog-friendly it is. 5 stars doesn't get any better than that.

Horribly bad. The toilets are so filthy, we should have left by then. Unfortunately, we ate there. Almost 10 euros per bottle of water, the herring sauce from a bucket, and soggy fried potatoes. Truly bad and not recommended.

We had lunch here. It was really delicious, the seating was comfortable, and the server was very friendly. Everything was pretty quick, too. We had a great spot with a view of the harbor.

The price/performance ratio is simply excellent, especially for the location. The food is also mostly good, although we have been disappointed in the past. We can't personally recommend everything there. In the many years we've been eating there (sometimes several times a year), we've browsed the menu several times and I think we can form our own opinion. However, two employees in particular stood out to us (Uwe & Fenja), both of whom I remember as always being friendly and accommodating. We can definitely recommend the Piratennest.

A very nice ambiance and excellent service. The staff are genuinely friendly and accommodating. They're also very good with children. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, and the drinks selection is very good. We ate here twice and had delicious meals and will definitely come back on our next vacation!

Piratennest on Sylt impresses across the board. The service is attentive, fast, and friendly. The cuisine delivers consistently high quality. The kale deserves special mention. It was robustly seasoned, almost to the limit, but that's precisely what made it taste perfect. The relaxed and inviting atmosphere complements this. A restaurant that exemplifies what dining on Sylt should be like. Recommended for anyone who values ​​good food and professional service.

We ate here several times during our vacation. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was also good. One star deducted for the potato salad. As mentioned on the website, I don't expect a ready-made salad like you'd find at a snack bar. Otherwise, we were always satisfied. Perhaps the plates could be decorated a bit more attractively.

I went out to eat with my boyfriend for the first time and was absolutely thrilled. The waiters were humorous and friendly. The food was absolutely fantastic. I wasn't overly overwhelm. It was perfect. It was a truly lovely and delicious end to our day. Thank you so much.☺️ We'd love to go back!!!

For years, I've been to Piratennest at least once per vacation, but this time, for once, without a reservation. Why is this restaurant so great and deserves five stars? Because it combines good food with fair prices and excellent service. Not every restaurant manages to walk this tightrope. Once a Piratennest, always a Piratennest! A fantastic restaurant with unbeatable service from Uwe. The food was delicious, and the price-performance ratio was absolutely perfect. I definitely prefer this restaurant to Gosch from today onwards. We had a wonderful afternoon there.

Everything's perfect here! Great location at Lister Hafen, a harmonious ambiance, true to its name, and truly excellent food. Fish, meat, and pasta dishes, salads, vegetarian dishes, and, of course, desserts leave nothing to be desired. Lovers of "Labskaus" will also find something to their liking. I particularly recommend the "Prawns on Wok-Fried Vegetables" and the "Fiery Fish Pan" with delicious Choron sauce. To be honest, I'm always spoiled for choice because I really enjoy so many of the dishes. The prices are mid-range. I consider the value for money to be fair. The service staff, with their Nordic charm, are always friendly and fulfill special requests, even when they're hectic. We always enjoy coming back. Several visits to the "Piratennest," our favorite restaurant on Sylt, are part of our "must-do" program during our Sylt vacation.

A very good alternative to the ubiquitous "red lobster." Just walk a little further to the Piratennest. When the weather's nice, you can sit right by the harbor, with a beautiful view of the sea. Here you can enjoy delicious food at a good price. Definitely worth a visit.

The restaurant is perfectly located on Lister Harbor with a magnificent view of Denmark. High-quality ingredients are skillfully prepared here. The shrimp stir-fry with dips is highly recommended as a starter. The main course was penne à la pirate's nest with perfectly cooked pasta in a creamy sauce. For dessert, we also treated ourselves to hot raspberry ice cream, washed down with a cool lemonade. My friends' steaks were cooked medium-rare. All in all, it was very good. I'm looking forward to the next time!

I highly recommend this restaurant. Uwe, the waitress, is a real gem. Nordic, authentic, on the go, and polite. The restaurant and the food are delicious, and the ambiance is a nice contrast to the rest of the Gosch empire. Watch out for the seagulls if you're sitting outside; they'll swoop in and steal your food.

A very nice restaurant right on the harbor in List. Very friendly service, fast, and with typical North German charm. We paid €125 for four people for drinks, a starter, and a main course. So, normal prices. We're on Sylt. It's worth it.

Well, if this "fried fish interpretation" and the modest "decoration" at Holidayparkflair with a 0.5 liter fruit juice spritzer are worth a whopping €24.80 to you, then this is the place for you. The quality was okay, the temperature was okay, and it's edible.

Unfortunately, we can't recommend the food here. Both the fried potatoes and the hash browns definitely came from the deep fryer and were dripping with grease. The waitress who took this warning didn't show up again. Sorry, I don't expect such poor quality on Sylt.

A definite recommendation. List is a lovely part of town, and the Piratennest serves delicious food. Enjoy a sea view from a beach chair, and the staff is friendly. Any food intolerances are catered for, and the fresh food is no problem at all. We'll be back.

The food has been consistently delicious for years. Prices are reasonable. Service is good. Attentive staff. Great option for sitting outside, sheltered from the wind, with a view of the harbor. Much more relaxed than the fast-food charm of its larger neighbor, although much of the food is probably already prepared. Still delicious!

I've walked past the Piratennest so many times and stopped at Gosch next door. This time, the Piratennest was our first choice. Other people also recommended a stop. And the reviews aren't bad either. What can I say: Simply overpriced and bad! Four people ordered food, and all four were immensely disappointed. The now very expensive fish was fried dry, or whatever. Everything was served and drowned on or in an indefinable cocktail sauce, probably from a tetra pack. The pieces were far too small for the price. Spaghetti with shrimp. Even a novice can't go wrong with this! Spaghetti cooked without salt and presumably reheated and draped on the plate. The shrimp were fried with tons of oil and then dumped around the dry spaghetti. Zero flavor, zero seasoning. The price charged for this disaster was very reasonable. Completely overpriced. The numerous 5-star reviews are incomprehensible. Or maybe there’s a new chef?

Unfriendly staff. Unfriendly to children. Two years later, we had the same experience. They don't like children here.

Prices are fair, but given the ambiance, which is great with the outdoor area, the restrooms shouldn't be overlooked (the flagship of any restaurant). Drink prices are already very high. It's questionable where this will end if the minimum wage is increased. A nice, relaxing day with just drinks is a real challenge; you savor every sip... The service was very nice.

The burger patty and schnitzel were frozen, and the waffle was homemade. I don't know. The rice pudding wasn't cooked. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio wasn't right. However, the waiter, U.W.E., was very positive.

Rustic fish restaurant on the main tourist area in List. The rough wooden furniture could use a coat of paint. The ambiance with the beach chairs is quite nice, but it's almost impossible to eat at the table while sitting in one. The distance is too great. Food: The potato (with sour cream) was quite dry and only enjoyable with plenty of sauce. The pan-fried fish with fried potatoes was unfortunately nothing special. The fried cod was okay, but not flavorfully seasoned. The fried potatoes were greasy and soft, not at all crispy. Not tasty. There wasn't even a small side salad. For us, the value for money wasn't OK. A complaint about the wobbly fried potatoes was handled kindly and "rewarded" with an espresso on the house. 👍

We were there for the second time today. The fiery fillet stir-fry and the shrimp stir-fry with stir-fried vegetables were delicious 😋 The service was very friendly, and there was plenty of room for our dog (65 kg) and water was provided. Thank you very much

This restaurant is great. The food isn’t amazing, but above average, solid quality and a little special something. The outside seating areas are amazing, works a view of the harbour and the sea. The staff is super friendly, fast and gave us some water for the dog. We can definitely recommend Piratennest.

We go to the Piratennest with our family every year. A fantastic restaurant in a prime location. A wonderful ambiance both indoors and outdoors. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. The menu is very extensive. There's something for every taste! The food is incredibly delicious and the prices are completely reasonable. We always feel very comfortable.

Great location, friendly waiters, and fast food. The food (3 different dishes) arrived at the table in less than 5 minutes. The quality of the fish was about as good and cheap as you'd expect in southern Germany. The rosti and fried potatoes were convenience foods, and the small amount of salad was merely garnished with sweet balsamic vinegar. The price, however, was like you'd find in a very good restaurant. In this respect, either the food needs to be adjusted to the prices, or the prices need to be adjusted to the ready-made, packaged fast food offered. Then it's fine again 🤷🏼‍♀️

We visited the Pirate's Nest during our vacation in Sylt and were overall very satisfied. The maritime ambience is really charming and contributes to a cozy evening. The menu offers a good selection. The service was very friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable for Sylt conditions and reflect the quality of the food. We definitely recommend the Pirate's Nest for anyone looking for a rustic pirate atmosphere on Sylt. We'd love to come back!

This cozy restaurant is located right on the harbor. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and the prices are reasonable.

Wir haben hier zu zweit die Fischplatte gegessen. Dies war üppig mit allerlei Fisch, Garnelen und Bratkartoffeln bestückt. Dazu gab es noch einen guten Gurkensalat und zweierlei Soßen. Während Bratkartoffeln, Fisch und Gurkensalat super waren, fielen die Soßen leider ein wenig ab. Beide hatten die selbe Basis (vermutlich Hollandaise) und schmeckten bekannt belanglos. Dazu gab es auf der Fischplatte üppig unangemachte Salatadeko. Wir haben sie uns dann mit dem Dressing des Gurkensalat angemacht. Tipp: Entweder weglassen oder ordentlich mit Dressing marinieren. Der Service war gut und freundlich. Hervorzuheben ist, dass unsere Wünsche bei der Reservierung berücksichtigt wurden.

The two of us ate the fish platter here. This was lavishly stocked with all kinds of fish, shrimp and fried potatoes. There was also a good cucumber salad and two different sauces. While the fried potatoes, fish and cucumber salad were great, the sauces were unfortunately a little off. Both had the same base (presumably hollandaise) and tasted familiarly bland. There was also a lavish, undressed salad decoration on the fish platter. We then dressed them with the dressing from the cucumber salad. Tip: Either leave it out or marinate it properly with dressing. The service was good and friendly. It should be emphasized that our wishes were taken into account when making the reservation.

Mein Mann und ich sind wieder einmal für zwei Wochen auf der Insel. Wie im November 2024 und den Vorjahren waren wir im Piratennest. Die Bedienung erkannte uns sofort wieder und wusste auch was wir bestellen wollten. Mein Mann aß den Grünkohl mit sehr viel Schweinefleisch und ich die Kartoffel mit Schmand. Dazu natürlich meinen geliebten Gurkensalat. Auch beim nächsten Mal werden wir uns wieder verwöhnen lassen.

The reception was great, the food was delicious and the portions were more than sufficient. The service is particularly noteworthy. The young woman was really on the ball and friendly with a nice saying on her lips. The later drinks were also served quickly. We felt very comfortable and had a lovely evening. Despite the off-off season, the restaurant is open and offers the full program. We ate perfectly here with three generations, everything was well prepared and lovingly presented. The portions were generous. Plus attentive and friendly service, it couldn't be better. No wonder the store was so busy.

The last time we were in this race was 10 years ago! Totally great! Yesterday we were there again, everything was relaxed, delicious, etc., until then when I wanted to order another Aperol Spritzz! The internet says that the Pirate Nest closes at 9 p.m., so I thought I could order something to drink at 8:10! Pustekuchen, I was told that they would close in 20 minutes! HALLLLLLOOOOOOO, is there a time difference on the island that I missed??? We paid 98 euros for 2 people, and then there's no time to make another drink?? The staff just stood there the whole time and chatted. If they had at least cleaned or done something else useful, it would have been ok, but not like that! I come from the catering industry myself and I wouldn't have wasted my tip so carelessly! Oh well, of course I don't believe that the other guests left the restaurant at 8.30 p.m., but whatever, I thought it was a shame and that's why I won't be going there again! Katrina and Thomas

Gladly again. Good food, nice and friendly service, and not a huge bill at the end. It's best to make a reservation as it's very popular.

Not like it was years ago, for example the wok vegetables are soaked in oil and the ambience is no longer as cozy. Furthermore, you have the feeling that there are more four-legged friends than people. People who are allergic to dogs should avoid the restaurant.

Absolute recommendation. Very attentive, super nice and relaxed people who work there. Best service, best food. From plaice and Labskaus to Kaiserschmarrn, everything was very good. I would like to thank the team for two nice evenings and will definitely come back.

Unfortunately, the penne with rump steak strips in cream sauce that we ordered was not edible. The rump steak strips were very tough and the sauce was unfortunately not a cream sauce but a cheese sauce. Unfortunately, little consideration is given to intolerances and the waiter was not very interested in why it wasn't eaten and didn't ask whether it was or was tasty. To charge another €25 for this impudence is a real shame. Three days earlier we had a very different experience with a waitress and two other dishes. The non-alcoholic punch was unfortunately delivered with a shot without asking. Unfortunately, this was not mentioned on the menu or by the waiter. Price/performance can definitely be improved here.

For us, the Pirate's Nest is our restaurant on the day of arrival. The food, we have tried many dishes, is always a 5 star rating. Service and ambience simply perfect. A clear recommendation for us, price-performance ratio is perfect.

Die Bedienung ist freundlich und das Essen und Trinken wird schnell serviert. Die Bewertung geht nach unten, weil das Essen nicht so toll war. Ich habe Backfisch mit Pommes bestellt. Die Pommes waren super, jedoch der Backfisch war nicht so toll. Das Öl in dem der Backfisch frittiert wurde roch nicht mehr ganz frisch. Ich habe jedoch keine Szene von gemacht, jedoch hat es ein Kellner mitbekommen und hat sich entschuldigt und ein Getränkt auf Kosten des Hauses angeboten, was ich annahm. Dann kam der zweite Kellner ist Spiel. Er sagte es sei alles in Ordnung und nichts gab es zu Trinken. Was mir auch egal war, denn wenn ich was trinken möchte kann ich es mir auch kaufen. Ich finden nur, man kann auf die Gäste eingehen und nicht nur sage das Öl ist frisch und gut ist.

Moin, Auf Grund guter Empfehlungen sind wir mittags zum Essen hin.Da es ein besonderer Anlass war, wählten wir die Fischplatte für zwei. Die verschiedenen Fischfilets wurden auf einer Platte serviert. Die Bratkartoffeln allerdings lagen unter dem sehr fetten Fisch, weswegen diese nur matschig und wenig gebraten waren,. Dazwischen befanden sich Speckwürfel die waren schwarz. Der Gurkensalat war wohl aus dem Eimer. Auch bei der Bestellung der Getränke hatten wir kein Glück. Das bestellte alkoholfreie Hefeweizen entpuppte sich als alkoholfreies Pils. Und zum Schluss viel bezahlt, was uns am meisten geärgert hat.

Suuuuuuuuuper lecker und klasse, freundlicher Sevice wie immer 🤩🤩🤩 eine echt tolle alternative zum Gosch und man wird satt für einen ordentlichen Euro. Gerne immer wieder…👍👍👍

We (the two of us) spontaneously wanted to go out for dinner here, unfortunately everything inside was reserved, but we were allowed to sit in the winter garden, looked for a place under the heater and wrapped ourselves in blankets. The waitress came out and invited us in because other guests had canceled. We didn't need to be told twice, even though it wasn't too cold in the winter garden, and took a seat inside. Our schnitzels were really tasty! We then had the second drink in the winter garden. For us it was a nice end to our Sylt holiday and we will rave about the attention of the service staff here for a long time, we rarely find such attention anymore. Keep it up 🙂.

I think the pirate nest is overrated. I've been here several times and it doesn't really convince me. Schnitzel was okay but clearly frozen, the mixed salad consisted of cheap ready-made mix, decorated with a pale piece of tomato and two slices of cucumber, with some dried baguette bread. The potato soup was terribly bad (tasted sour and consisted of clear broth with a few potato cubes floating in it). The gratinated vegetable pan contained vegetables that were undercooked and was incredibly greasy. The fiery fish pan tasted good (but the fried potatoes were quite greasy) and the currywurst with fries. Since the location right on the harbor basin is great and you can sit outside in a sheltered place, we will still come back and maybe try cake. The staff is nice and attentive, but they have often deducted too much when paying. Since you don't get an invoice, you quickly end up paying too much.
