Piazzetta Ristorante & Pizzeria in München

We were a group of nine people, sitting at a table that could only comfortably seat eight. After we sat down and ordered drinks, we were suddenly informed that groups of ten were required to order an appetizer platter – at a cost of €13.50 per person. When we pointed out that there were only nine of us, after some discussion, they offered it for €10 per person. However, pizza bread was an extra charge. The three pizzas we ordered were generously topped, but the crusts were so dry and hard that even with considerable pressure, they were almost impossible to cut – let alone bite. We ended up focusing more on the inside of the pizzas. The two fish dishes were very good, the side dishes were minimal, and the pasta was tasty, but also a very small portion. Comment: Now we know why you need an appetizer! We noticed that neighboring tables around us received a complimentary limoncello/grappa after paying. When we weren't offered this, we asked about it. We were told we wouldn't receive anything because we had complained about the appetizer platter and the mandatory portion. We found this very suspicious. On top of that, the noise level in the restaurant was terrible. Behind us was a large, inconsiderate group who seemed to have forgotten that they were in a restaurant and not a kindergarten. They were shouting, cheering, and laughing loudly. Unfortunately, the waiters and the owner didn't seem to mind that we and other guests could barely have a conversation. Our conclusion yesterday: none of this makes any sense if they want to continue serving customers.

We were there with 16 people over the Christmas period. Appetizer platters were mandatory when we made our reservation, which I always find a bit disappointing. However, the appetizer platter was fantastic! It included vitello tonnato, tuna, and delicious vegetables! The food was very good, and the service was excellent as well! I'll definitely be back.

I highly recommend this restaurant. Excellent value for money. Pizza, pasta, fish – everything was very well prepared. Perfect for small gatherings. Reservations are recommended for larger groups. We'll be back soon! Ciao!

Today's lunch special: Rigatoni with spinach and Gorgonzola. Unfortunately, the pasta was completely hard and not at all al dente. The table wasn't wiped, nor were salt and pepper shakers or a bread basket provided. Therefore: Never again.

A true IT restaurant with good food and friendly service at fair prices = go for it (there's a terrace in the summer when the weather's nice). Reservations are essential, as it's often full.

I popped in spontaneously and left satisfied. The food (tagliatelle with truffle) was really good, and the waiters were very busy but still attentive. A lovely experience, I'll go back again – even to give a bit more tip. In retrospect, the usual 10 percent wasn't enough. The place deserves it!

We found this restaurant by chance while trying to go somewhere else and really enjoyed the food. I had the pumpkin soup, while my wife and son had the tomato soup. Both soups were delicious. I loved the truffle pasta. My wife and son also had delicious pizzas. The service was very friendly and prompt. We were satisfied.

One of my absolute favorite addresses in Munich! This beautiful location right on Weissenburger Platz is an absolute dream, especially in summer, with a view of the park and fountain. The team is consistently warm, attentive, and authentically Italian, making you feel immediately welcome. The charming nature of the staff, with their truly genuine hospitality, makes every visit feel like a mini-Italian vacation for me. The food and drinks are always excellent. Fresh ingredients, top quality, perfectly seasoned, and prepared with palpable attention to detail. You can simply taste the passion and skill that come together here. The food is excellent. It's not cheap, but the quality is absolutely worth the money. The interior is a bit dated, and when it gets busy (which it always is—and rightly so!), it's unfortunately a bit noisy.

This was my second time there. The food was burnt and tasteless. The server was very rude and refused to acknowledge it. Recommendation factor: Absolutely not!

I live around the corner and have been there three times. The waiters are unfriendly. Arrogant, rude, and disrespectful. Service is also very slow, and the waiters often talk in front of the guests, gossiping or arguing, leaving them waiting. Typical Italian, but with a negative side. You constantly feel like you're disturbing them and not welcome.

A highly recommended Italian restaurant with a great location. You can also sit outside, but reservations are recommended. Good pizza for around €11. Prices are reasonable, especially compared to other Italian restaurants. Guests of all ages. White tablecloths, friendly service, everyone! The knives are useless for cutting pizza; you can only squeeze a noodle through them at most; they desperately need sharpening. Aperol Spritz for €7.50 tastes good; three ice cubes would be enough for a 0.2 liter glass, if I could ask for something. We'd be happy to come back and bring our own cutlery or eat the pizza by hand. July 2025: They've since acquired knives with sharp blades...

Unfortunately, the staff is very unfriendly and arrogant, which spoils the beautiful location and the good, but very expensive, food. Haidhausen certainly has better options.

We happened to be passing by and decided to eat here. We were seated outside without a reservation, but they told us they were waiting for an hour. That wasn't a problem for us. Ordering and preparing the food went pretty quickly. The pasta with pesto and burrata was very good, but the price is perhaps a bit high (€17). Otherwise, a really nice atmosphere and delicious food 😊

I have been visiting this Restaurant since past several years whenever I come to Munich and used to love the food and service. But today I felt the quality of the food has deteriorated particularly the pizzas and the service was very bad. To add to this they added a €4 Trinkgeld (tip) and when I asked that I have never paid this before my server said ‘you foreigners pay tip everywhere around the world, then why cannot we also charge you’. This meant that the locals on the other tables were not charged and to confirm this I asked a couple who had just paid their bill and they were not charged. So this is ridiculous discrimination and totally unacceptable. I would never go to this restaurant which in the past was my favorite, anytime again.

I came across the pizzeria because I won the chocolate egg from Antonietta on the radio. I purchased the Fensbacherhof for my work. On such an occasion, I went there with my daughter, colleagues and residents for dinner. It's very familiar and very loving. I can only recommend it, the food is 100% Italian and so delicious. THE owner as well as the team are very accommodating. I am very happy and grateful to have been able to get to know Antonietta and I now come to Munich more often. Unfortunately, reservations are no guarantee that you will get a table at the agreed time. For us it happened after 20 minutes. But this was preceded by the fact that we had to wait and watch as a spontaneous group of 5 (who, mind you, came after us and were initially turned away) were offered the next free table, while later we were given a small table for 2 plus a makeshift stool was prepared in the draughtiest place right in front of the restaurant door. After some of the staff noticed our irritated faces, we were at least allowed to sit at a normal table. We were at the table 20 minutes after making the reservation. There was no sign of gratitude - free drinks, espresso, anything - from the waiters. Afterwards we had a normal breakfast. Maybe we didn't look profitable enough.

Worst pizza of my life. Even a ristorante Supermarkt pizza would be better! We had the buffalo mozzarella and a salami pizza. Honestly, the salami tasted terrible and the tartufo was greasy and tasted like an old shoe. Also, the tables are so close together you don’t really have privacy at all and could eat from your neighbors plate. Stay away.

The service is impeccable: all the waiters and dining room staff are extremely professional and friendly, but the waiter Nicola deserves a special mention. His kindness and his way of treating customers with special care make the experience even more pleasant. You can see that Nicola loves his job and is committed to making every guest feel at home. The location of the restaurant is central, easy to reach, and finding parking is not particularly difficult, a positive aspect considering the area of ​​Munich. The prices are in line with those typical of the city, but for the quality it offers, I honestly expected to spend more. Highly recommended for those looking for excellent Italian cuisine in a welcoming and familiar environment. I will definitely return whenever I want a corner of my home in Munich.

Had dinner there 2 nights. The 1st night we reserved due to menu and proximity to our hotel. We were very pleased with the food and service so we returned the following night. The staff remembered us and welcomed us very pleasantly, but also remembered our meal from the prior night. Highly recommend.

A highly frequented restaurant. We opened there on Friday, September 13th, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. We got the last table with the requirement to be ready by 8 p.m. Because then the next pre-order came. I can only recommend this Italian restaurant. But to be on the safe side, please book a table. The restaurant is not located on Rosenheimer Platz. This was real Sicilian cuisine. The next time I come to Munich-Haidhausen, I will visit the restaurant again.

I had tuna pizza which was great, other dishes were good too, but nothing special (pizza regina and rigatoni piazzetta). Service could be better. Waiters are polite, but not very attentive (it tooks us a while to get a receipt).

We spontaneously decided on this restaurant in beautiful Haidhausen and got a great place outside. The Piazzetta is a family business that has been around for over 20 years. Dolce Vita is lived here and the finest Italian dishes are served. We are really absolutely thrilled! The menu offers both classics such as fresh pastas and Roman pizza. In addition, there is a daily changing menu, which shows that the Piazzetta can definitely also do excellent fine Italian cuisine. We would particularly like to highlight the pasta made from the Parmesan wheel, the meat and fish creations and the heavenly dessert. In addition, the family atmosphere and uncanny hospitality is great. We felt super comfortable and the numerous regular guests here speak for themselves.❤️ So if you long for Italy again, just visit the Piazzetta.
