Cozy atmosphere, friendly conditions and very good food

Nice service, nice ambience outside. Starter plate was a bit poor compared to other Greeks. I would have liked more choice. The potatoes were served and there were fries. Not the slices known for Greek cuisine. However, I can see from the photos that they probably do exist otherwise. It would have been nice if, for whatever reason, these were not available that evening and were swapped for fries, this would have been mentioned to the table beforehand. However, wines were delicious.

Seit langem wollte ich mal wieder im Phaistos an einem warmen Sommerabend essen gehen. Meine Frage nach einem Tisch für eine Person wurde mit "da kann ich Ihnen nur einen Tisch drin im Haus anbieten" beantwortet. Im Aussenbereich waren mindestens 7-8 Tische frei und auf keinem war ein Schild "Reserviert" zu sehen. Ich habe dankend abgelehnt und ein anderes Restuarant aufgesucht in dem ich auch als einzelner Gast einen Tisch im Aussenbereich erhalten habe.

Ein Abendessen mit Freunden - wir wollten es griechisch. Freundlicher Empfang, schneller Service. Wir bekamen eine Empfehlung ausserhalb der Speisenkarte der wir gerne gefolgt sind und wurden nicht enttäuscht.

Nice atmosphere in a cozy location just outside the city, beautifully designed outdoor area with plenty of plants. Service is friendly and attentive, the food was delicious but unfortunately the dip portions were far too small and re-ordering costs a lot. Overall higher priced, it's ok for once a year.

I was there on July 11th, 2023 and July 11th, 2024. In 2023 I would have given it 4* despite the high prices. In 2024 only 3*. The warm starter plate was cold and tasteless. The gyros/pikilia plate was also tasteless. The price/performance ratio only deserves 1*. I won't go there anymore

Everything is very good! There's nothing more to write. It's best to try it yourself.

Abendessen mit ehemaligen Kolleginnen. Service nicht aufmerksam. Habe eine gefühlte Viertelstunde gesessen, bis ich auf herranwinken ein Getränk bestellen durfte. Essen war durchschnittlich. Bifteki bestand aus drei Frikadellen gefüllt mit Feta, war wenig gewürzt. Für 19€ wirklich überbezahlt. Getränke nachbestellen war schwierig, weil keine Servicekraft kam.

Beautiful beer garden and a children's area[playground] The service was very friendly and patiently answered all of our questions about the dishes. Unfortunately I didn't like the food at all. The Stifado, with thin sauce, thick pieces of onion and 3 apricots, looked pretty carelessly presented on the plate. Unfortunately, the meat was not juicy or tender. My husband's food tasted good. The ketchup/mayo for the children's meal was charged extra, as was the additionally ordered tzatiki (which is fine, as it was reordered). We found the prices to be too expensive for what we expected in terms of taste and appearance. I had stomach/intestinal problems for 2.5 days immediately afterwards. Of course I don't know if it came from food.

A great Greek restaurant with wonderful food, friendly staff, and a large beautiful patio with plenty of seating and large umbrellas. There was even a small playground structure that my two year old really enjoyed! The seating inside also looked very nice. Prices were a bit higher than average but lots of value.

Hmm, we used to love being here. The ambience is nice, and so is the food. But I think it's just too expensive somehow. In the end, it's not entirely clear to me what's so different about gyros than kebab - other than the price... The fact that they now even charge you to have your food packed was too much. We don't go there anymore.

Very nice restaurant. Very tasty food, great staff, can only recommend it. We will come back.

(Visit on June 8th, 2024) Fortunately, the sometimes massive price increases in the restaurant industry are not quite as drastic here, and we would like to thank you on behalf of all guests! However, the lack of staff is also noticeable, e.g. B. because there is no choice between sitting outside or inside, which can be quite uncomfortable given the current late afternoon outside temperatures, especially if this was not mentioned when making the reservation and you assumed you would get a table inside. 🥶 At least blankets are offered for outdoor use.😮‍💨👍🏻 The quality of the food on offer is still very good and the portions have remained the same. The service was still friendly and courteous as usual. Best regards and see you next time! Great food, friendly service and cozy atmosphere.

We became aware of the restaurant through a newspaper article. We went straight away in the beautiful weather and ate and drank. Conclusion: very nice atmosphere. Courteous service AND good, tasty Greek food. Good Greek wines, good ouzo. Price/performance appropriate. Absolute recommendation from me 👍😋

We have been coming to Phaistos for many years and have rarely been disappointed with food and drinks. It's very nice to sit inside and when the weather is good you can sit outside between lots of plants. The service is always good and friendly. The prices are right.

We just had our wedding do there. It was really great. The preperation with the owner was totally relaxed and he has a great team. Everyone had a lovely evening. Many thanks!!

Hi We ended up here because our favorite tiny Greek restaurant couldn't offer a table at the weekend. So you occasionally see something new. That's a good thing... because in the end all four of us were very, very satisfied. The Phaistos restaurant was convincing across the board in terms of location, ambience, service, cleanliness and, above all, its cuisine. This was definitely not our last visit here. If you want to take a "short vacation in Greece"... the Klostermühle is the right place for you! BodoSchupp

I was very disappointed with the food, unfortunately the price-performance ratio wasn't right at all. The food was really expensive and completely tasteless. I'm talking about Juwetzi. The portion was really very small and you could hardly find any lamb and the sauce was very thin and tasteless. The price for water is completely exaggerated, as is the price for a dessert. Sorry, I'm happy to pay these prices if it tastes really good and I'm full. The staff was very friendly, but couldn't do anything to lift our mood.

I was at Phaistos a few years ago and was very impressed with the food. We were there for our son's birthday on January 30, 2024, with correspondingly high expectations. Unfortunately, the food wasn't nearly as good as it was back then. I have never eaten a Juwetzi with such a thin, tasteless sauce. The portion was “clear”, but completely overpriced at €21.50. A chocolate mousse costs €9.50. Sorry, even though everything is more expensive and VAT has been increased, the quality and the prices don't match. The staff was very friendly, but unfortunately they couldn't reduce our disappointment.

I gave the restaurant another chance and was unfortunately disappointed again. At that time my Mousaka was moldy and I had very bad gastrointestinal problems. Today I had something special without meat, it was rice. Unfortunately, this tasted really good. The giant beans on the vegetarian plate also tasted like they came from a can. Unfortunately hardly any seasoning. The only tasty and flavorful thing was the spinach. Unfortunately the food was no longer warm either. We had a special drink to drink, we probably don't order Fanta often, because there was hardly any carbonation in it either. I therefore cannot recommend the restaurant. It's a shame, because there are a lot of vegan labels here too.

Fast service and generally cheerful and friendly staff. The taste and quality of the food was top, as was the selection. Since it often gets quite crowded in the evenings, it is also noisy and the waiters don't pay as much attention.

Very tasty food with courteous service! Beautiful, stylish and elegant ambience

The gyros tasted particularly aromatic and there was nothing wrong with the fresh salad. In the gyros I taste the variety of Greek cuisine, for example the cumin or the thyme, which are very well processed in the fresh meat. I can only recommend this restaurant.

A very cozy Greek restaurant with very good food. The starter and main course were of high quality and tasted very good. The operator and the staff are consistently nice and friendly. The price/performance ratio is right. We'd love to come back.

Were doubly shocked today - on the one hand about the steep price increase and on the other hand about the declining quality. Increasing it from €16.90 to €19 and removing the 10% discount for pickup is really tough. By the way, the “old” prices are still available online. The potato slices were completely soft and were floating in oil, the gyros only consisted of small chunks and tasted like they had been warmed up. It's a shame, for us this was the best Greek restaurant in Wiesbaden so far.

Gestern Weihnachtsfeier dort gehabt. Essen war sehr lecker. Personal freundlich und nett. Etwas schwierig die Parkplatzsituation.

Ein tolles Griechisches Restaurant . Das Ambiente hat mir sehr gefallen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich . Wir werden hier auf jeden Fall wieder essen gehen .

Our visit to Phaistos zur Klostermühle Restaurant with friends provided a mixed experience. The red wine was served elegantly and was of good quality. Sehr leckeres Essen bei außergewöhnlich freundlicher und aufmerksamer Bedienung. Bzgl. Weinauswahl dürfte die Karte etwas mehr Auswahl Richtung "trocken" haben.

Man kann da Essen, manchmal auch ganz gut. Wenn die dünnen Aldi-Servietten nicht wären. Sparen an falschen Dingen. Bin sehr enttäuscht. Weiß nicht ob ich nochmal dahin gehe, die Anfahrt schon lohnt sich nicht.

Wir sind mehrmals im Jahr im Phaistos und kommen immer wieder gerne her. Das Essen ist lecker. Die Nachtische schmecken sensationell gut.

Die Bewertungen mit 1 Stern sind mir unverständlich. Vielleicht ist es eine Frage des jeweiligen Stils und Hungers. Meine Portion war großzügig, der Mokka ein Gedicht, der Wein gut eingeschenkt und die Bedienung aufmerksam Ich hatte nicht reserviert, sondern mir spontan eine schöne Mittagspause geschenkt Gerne wieder!

Wunderschöner Außenbereich, sehr gemütlich. Das Essen war wirklich top und das Personal super freundlich. Man fühlt sich fast wie im Urlaub. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Das Restaurant verfügt über ein Garten wo viele Gäste essen können. Wenn dunkeln wird gibt es schöne romantische Beleuchtung. Im Sommer ist sehr schön aber etwas schwierig freie plätze zu finden. Besser reservieren oder vorher angerufen. Die Bedienung könte etwas freundliche sein, haben trotzdem ein guten job gemacht. Das essen ist gut!

Sehr schöner Außenbereich. Man sitzt zwischen liebevoll angelegten Blumen und Pflanzen Arrangements. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Das Essen ist typisch griechisch zu moderaten Preisen. Ich hatte ein vegetarisches Gericht, sehr lecker.

Ein Grieche , wie es nur noch wenige gibt. Gutes Essen, vernünftige Preise, nettes Personal und einen schönen Garten. Ich kann mit den ganzen vermeintlichen " Edel" Griechen nichts anfangen. Schön, dass es die Klostermühle gibt!
