SALONIKA - Speisegaststätte in Wiesbaden

Yesterday evening we tried the Salonika restaurant in Schierstein. The food was very good, but the overall experience was terrible. The restaurant itself is relatively cozy, but unfortunately, they were showing live football on the large TVs (there are two in the restaurant) at such a volume that conversation was impossible, and the young woman couldn't even hear our order properly. There was no consideration for the other diners; the two people watching football seemed to have priority, as they were regulars. We ordered a semi-dry red wine three times, but received a very sweet one. All in all, a very unpleasant dining experience that we don't intend to repeat.

I've been going to Salonika in Wiesbaden-Schierstein for many years and I have to say that the restaurant has improved significantly since the change of ownership about a year and a half ago. The food is noticeably better now, the dishes are prepared more cleanly, and you really leave feeling satisfied. The menu has been expanded without losing the typical charm of Greek cuisine. Portion sizes, taste, and presentation are all spot on. You can tell that someone is cooking with heart and dedication. The service is friendly and attentive. At the end, there's usually a complimentary shot of schnapps and often a small dessert – a nice touch that you don't get everywhere and that simply completes what is already a great evening. For me, Salonika has been a clear recommendation in the neighborhood since the change of ownership.

A passing Greek restaurant. The only positive thing about this restaurant was probably the service. I had to return my entire meal because it didn't taste good at all. Sorry, but that's never happened to me before, and I regularly go there several times a week to eat, depending on my business travels. The ambiance takes some getting used to.

If you are in Wiesbaden and want to eat well for a reasonable price, this is recommended.

Tavern-style, more like a pub, but with freshly prepared and delicious food. There's a small beer garden on the street. The gyros and bifteki are highly recommended. We love coming there.

We had a short vacation and happened to stop at Salonika. I have visited many restaurants in my life but have rarely experienced such friendly and attentive service. We went there three days in a row and enjoyed ourselves felt very comfortable on the terrace, The food was also plentiful and tasted very good 👍.

Very tasty food! Very nice atmosphere and a good climate. The service is also excellent. Very nice and courteous employees!!! I can only recommend it to anyone who wants to pay a short visit to little Greece!!

Chef uns erfolgreich Gyros mit Bratkartoffeln/Salat aufgeschwätzt. Top Qualität. Durch das Geflügelfleisch war das ganze auch nicht zu viel des guten. 👍

Service was wonderful. Truly enjoyed the service, portion size was large and food was delicious. They do not take card. We never carry cash but thankfully we had some. Be mindful of that before going.

Freundliches Personal und super leckeres Essen

Ein griechisches Restaurant, wie es nicht mehr viele gibt. Gemütliche Atmosphäre, große Freundlichkeit und gutes mit Liebe zubereitetes Essen. Den Chef nach einer Empfehlung zu fragen, ist nie verkehrt.

Das ich hier noch nie war, crass, Echt Glück gehabt, dass ich dort gestern rein ging. Kulturel einiges geboten. Chef total cool und weiss was schmeckt. Seine Empfehlung und was es nachher gekostet hat war der Hammer. Lecker, viel, preiswert. Danke Hakuna Matata

Sehr gute Küche, schmeckt jedes Mal. Auf einen Drink, auch entspannte Atmosphäre. Schöne bequeme Terrasse. Vor allem am Abend ein tolles Ambiente bei Licht und Musik.

Schöne Gaststätte in der Nähe vom Wohnmobilstellplatz. Essen war lecker. Da nicht all zuviel los war haben wir uns sehr nett mit dem Wirt und seiner Bedienung Sonja unterhalten.

Das Salonika in Wiesbaden ist wirklich einen Besuch wert. Ein super tolles Restaurant mit sehr freundlichem Personal und richtig leckerem Essen. Nachdem ich mehrere Griechen in der Umgebung Mainz-Wiesbaden ausprobiert habe, muss ich sagen, das Essen hier kommt einem Griechenland Besuch am nächsten. Da es auf Grund der Corona Situation für mich nicht möglich ist wie jedes Jahr 2 Mal nach Griechenland zu reisen, bin ich wirklich super froh, dieses Restaurant gefunden zu haben! Klare Empfehlung für das leckere Essen und das nette Personal und die Inhaber! Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder! Kleiner Tipp: Wenn spezielle Gerichte gewünscht sind, einfach zuvor anrufen und Bescheid sagen (:

Die Küche und die Qualität der Speisen sind unterirdisch. An unserem besuchstag war noch nicht einmal die Küche geöffnet die "Ersatz"Köchin kam dann einige Zeit später erst an . Jedoch gab es tolles Personal freundlich und humorvoll.

Es ist ein Ort, wo man einmal Freunde trifft. Leider gibt es meistens erst ab 17:30 Uhr warmes Essen, wenn der Wirt einen guten Tag hat.

Eine gemütliche Gaststätte mit freundlicher Bedienung und gutem, griechischem Essen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich.

Sehr leckeres Essen, sehr nette Bedienung, guter aufmerksamer Service! Man saß richtig gut im Freien! Einzig: Es gab keinen Ouzo auf's Haus, kann aber auch sein, dass das nur in unseren südlichen Breiten, so üblich ist!

Leckeres griechisches Restaurant mit sehr freundlicher Bedienung. Außerdem kann man im überdachten Biergarten gut draußen sitzen.
