Kurz und knapp: ein sehenswertes Ensemble auf dem Pfefferberg. Äußerst aufmerksamer und höflicher Service. Sehr leckere Speisen. Rund um ein gelungener Abend auf der Terrasse.

Dinge gibt es, die gibt es nicht. Tische waren draußen nur zu 30% belegt, es standen keine Reservierungsschilder auf den Tischen. Leute, die nach uns kamen, erhielten die Speisekarte. wir nicht. Nachdem wir eine forderten, kam jemand vom Personal und fragte, ob wir reserviert hätten, was wir verneinten. Dann Ausflüchte, er wäre allein im Service ( obwohl ich noch anderes Personal gesehen hatte) und es würde für uns dann ganz lange dauern. Nachdem ich nach der Zeitspanne fragte, keine konkrete Angabe. Da sind wir gegangen. Dann eben nicht. Empfehle ich nicht weiter.

Sehr schönes Braugasthaus auf dem historischen Pfefferberg. Ein wahrer Geheimtipp mitten in Berlin für Bier-Fans. Das selbsgebraute Biersortiment gehört zur handwerklichen Spitzenklasse. Neben dem hervorragenden Pils und Helles gibt's hier ein einzigartiges naturtrübes Red Ale. Egal, ob drinnen in der gemütlichen Schankhalle oder draußen im schönen Biergarten, hier kann sich jeder entspannt gutgehen lassen...

Auch nach dem dritten Besuch begeistert. Die übersichtliche und regional-saisonale Speisekarte bietet immer wieder sehr leckere Gerichte nicht alltäglicher Zubereitung. Die Beratung zu einem passenden Wein rundet das Ganze ab. Auch das Bier am Sonntag zu Bauernomelett und Thüringer hat unseren Gaumen überzeugt. Professioneller Service mit Herzlichkeit trägt zum Wohlbefinden bei. Das moderne Ambiente in historischem Mauern ist gut gelungen. Jederzeit wieder gerne! Absolut empfehlenswert! Danke an das Team!

Sehr schöner Biergarten mit netten Service und gutem Essen

Das Ambiente und die Lage waren gut, aber das Essen hat uns nicht geschmeckt. Die Küche muss dringend erneuert werden.

Drinnen und draußen gemütliche und gepflegte Atmosphäre, auch für große Gruppe geeignet. Essen und Trinken sind sehr gut. Die Auswahl ist gelungen, viel Abwechslung. Service ist supernett und hilfsbereit. Preise liegen in dieser beliebten Gegend natürlich über dem Berliner Durchschnitt, aber die tolle Location, der Service und die Qualität sind stimmig und somit ist es insgesamt fair. Komme gerne wieder!

Hervorragender Service, tolle Atmosphäre, leckeres Essen, selbstgebrautes Bier und super Lage. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 23 Personen, und das Küchenteam hat unsere Bestellungen reibungslos und ohne lange Wartezeiten abgewickelt.

Wir waren über Sylvester 3 Tage in Berlin und waren sowohl vom Sylvestermenü in der Schankhalle als auch von der Vorstellung im Pfefferberg Theater restlos begeistert. Wir haben die wunderschön geschmückte Location, das ganze Ambiente, den sehr netten persönlichen Service und das superleckere, wunderschön angerichtete Menü sehr genossen. Sogar mein Wunsch nach einem schönen Tisch zur Geburtstagsfeier meines Mannes wurde erfüllt - einfach toll, tausend Dank! Wir konnten im Vorfeld die Menüzusammenstellung in Ruhe zuhause aussuchen und unsere Vorstellung davon wurde mehr als übertroffen! Der einzige kleine Kritikpunkt ist, dass nicht alle Mitarbeiter sowohl im Vorfeld am Telefon als auch am Abend über das Sylvestermenü Bescheid wussten. Die zuerst falsch ausgestellte Rechnung wurde aber nach Vorzeigen meiner Menübuchung umgehend korrigiert und die Herzlichkeit der Mitarbeiterin hat diesen kleinen Fauxpas mehr als wett gemacht!! Deshalb: Volle 5 Sterne und ein dickes Dankeschön ans ganze Team.

Wir waren hier zu zweit am Silvesterabend. Es wurde eine sehr tolle Auswahl an Speisen angeboten, deren Qualität absolut überzeugend war. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir haben drei Gänge mit mehreren Getränken genossen. Auch das Ambiente war herausragend. Ebenso der Inhaber, der stets freundlich und kompetent für die Gäste da war. Leider konnte das restliche Personal zum Großteil an diesem Abend nicht mithalten. Dies trat unstrukturiert, durcheinander und vergesslich auf. Wir würden dennoch wiederkommen.

Wir wollten um 21 Uhr nur noch gemütlich ein zwei Biere trinken, nachdem wir woanders Abendessen waren. Das passte dem Herren am Empfang wohl nicht: obwohl die Hälfte aller Tische frei waren, seien diese alle bereits reserviert (nach 21 Uhr?) und man habe keinen Platz für uns, gerne ein andermal. Wir waren anscheinend nicht edel genug gekleidet, dachten wir, und haben uns umgehend dafür entschieden, nicht wiederzukommen.

Ein schönes Lokal mit viel Atmosphäre, vielen exzellenten und eignen Biersorten, ein freundlicher Service …. Beim Essen wurden unsere Erwartungen etwas enttäuscht, die Spanferkel zu trocken, Kruste zu hart, Kartoffelpuffer zu matschig und das Kraut verkocht….

Gestern Abend ohne Reservierung dort eingefallen. Schnell wurde einer der wenigen freien Tische geputzt, das Essen war über die Maßen gut, der Service schnell und sehr freundlich, Maja an der Bar war überhaupt die Beste. Ich reserviere jetzt für morgen Abend.

Wir haben unsere Hochzeit am 07.11.2025 in der Schankhalle gefeiert, inkl. freier Trauung im Glaspalast, und sind sehr glücklich darüber, dass wir diese Location ausgewählt haben. Das Team von und mit Ioannis und Julia war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hat uns auch in der stressigen Vorbereitung der Deko am Hochzeitstag selbst noch super geholfen. Das Buffet zum Abendessen war genau so, wie wir es uns gewünscht haben. Es hat sehr lecker geschmeckt und viele Gäste haben uns das auch hinterher nochmal bestätigt. Zum Flair muss ich nichts sagen, da ist einfach alles stimmig. Wir können die Schankhalle auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen, besonders auch für solche Events! Danke auch an euch für diesen besonderen Tag!

Das Lokal ist stilvoll und wunderschön, die Atmosphäre herrlich. Essen und Getränke waren ausgezeichnet! Ioannis war sehr nett, wir haben uns bei ihm rundum wohlgefühlt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall bald wieder.

I had a beef steak that was okay, but I've had diarrhea and stomach pain for three days now. That was Friday. Today is Tuesday, and I still have diarrhea!!!!!!

We were only here for a quick drink or aperitif, so we can't comment on the food—although it looked very delicious at the neighboring tables. My girlfriend had an Aperol Spritz, which she thoroughly enjoyed. As a big beer fan, I tried several house-brewed beers. The selection is large and varied, which I particularly liked! The staff was also very friendly, and the ambiance was inviting—you immediately felt at home. Definitely worth recommending!

Nice terrace and location but unfortunately the unfriendly and inflexible staff killed the experience

An upscale brewery. Still the rough version, but beautifully decorated with a sophisticated menu. It also has a lovely outdoor area. Delicious beer (also non-alcoholic). Menu with a good selection of starters and main courses, not standard pub food. We had the burger and liver, as well as the salad with goat cheese. Everything was sensationally delicious. Good portions. The burger is more like pulled beef than a patty, which is absolutely delicious. The fries are fresh and homemade. Burger with sides: €18 Liver with sides: €24 Salad/goat cheese: €16 0.3 litre beer: €4.50 (As of January 2025) Overall, we were very impressed and will be back. Parking is available nearby. Public transport is directly across the street from the Senefelderplatz subway station (U2).

Unfortunately, I have to revise my review. Two people behind the bar ignored my order. A woman was then served immediately from a distance two minutes later. This is outrageous!

I had the great pleasure of celebrating my birthday here. Maria made the evening truly special. The food and drinks, service, and location were simply spot on! Thank you so much, and keep up the great work!

We've been here several times. The food and wine are good, but the restaurant is rather pricey. The ambiance is lovely, with fresh little bouquets of flowers and candles on the tables. However, it's really awful and completely out of place that the waiter is wearing an old t-shirt and the woman behind the counter is in a knitted sweater. More appropriate attire for the prices would be much better. I didn't feel very comfortable.

For food I had the spinach spätzle, which was really tasty. They also have their own brewed beers, but they all had this odd taste to them that I can't quite put my finger on, so cannot really recommend those at this point. They have a nice terrace outside, but they seemed to only have 1 staff member running there during peak hour. Perhaps they were understaffed? He still rocked it, but he could have used a man extra.

Hier een rondleiding in de brouwerij gedaan. Deze werd door de brouwer zelf gegeven. Leuke rondleiding met proeverij. Zeker de moeite waard onm nog een keer te doen of een restaurant bezoek.

Nice place! You must take the citron beer, one of the best I've ever tried! The seasonal rolled beef was good, but not so special. The spinach dish was tasteless. The creme brulle was nice, bit not so great. Good visiting for the beers, but the food was disappointing and overpriced for this value. Focus on the beers😅

Great service, great location, great food. Had the black pudding which was a 13/10! Salmon canapes very good. The only drawback was the duck breast on the duck breast salad. Unfortunately it was cold and too thick and therefore a bit tough.

Schankhalle Pfefferberg es un gran pub de cerveza que siempre espero visitar en cualquier vacación que tome a esta fascinante ciudad, ubicada en el maravilloso barrio de Prenzlauer Berg de Berlín, es un pub de cerveza que he estado muchas veces a lo largo de los años, siempre lo pasé bien y así lo demostró en nuestra última visita a aquí. Un bar de cerveza de gran aspecto, el interior es de primera categoría, las cubas de cerveza prominentemente en exhibición, las características de madera oscura abundan en todo este bar de cerveza, bellamente decorado y decorado con buen gusto en todo, también hay un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este bar de cerveza tanto en el interior como en el exterior, es solo un bar de cerveza realmente bueno para relajarse. Estábamos aquí en una noche de diciembre amargamente fría, brewpub estaba lleno de un gran ambiente, pedimos una cerveza estilo pilotes, estos se sirvieron en excelentes condiciones siendo helado frío y espumoso, nos relajamos y empapamos de la gran vibra en este concurrido y popular brewpub mientras bebíamos nuestros pilotes. Un gran fan de estas pils, doradas, ligeras y de lúpulo, es un estilo de cerveza tan refrescante y que tanto mi hermano gemelo como yo apreciamos mucho. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestras cervezas aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz como en cualquier otra visita a Schankhalle Pfefferberg nos lo pasamos muy bien. Schankhalle Pfefferberg es fácil encontrar a lo largo de Schonhauser Allee. El horario de apertura es; Lunes, cerrado. Martes a sábado, abierto a partir de las 16 h. Domingo, cerrado. Vale la pena buscar si estás en la zona de Prenzlauer Berg de Berlín.

Very good food and hospitable service transformed our family dinner into a wonderful Christmas Day. I would like to thank the kitchen and service team at the bar. It is my pleasure to make an explicit recommendation. We would love to come back. Reservation is recommended.

We just wanted to have a drink here and what can I say, it was wonderful. We were shown to one of the counter tables, the bartender took our order very friendly and, above all, served it professionally (that's noticeable in Berlin!!!). The wonderful thing about the evening; We didn't have to yell at each other. I don't know why, but the sound system in restaurants and other places is so out of control that communicative evenings are still possible, primarily in private settings. That's why I give it 5 stars in all categories.

Compared to the last few years, the quality of the food and service (simply not enough staff) have declined significantly. Sad but true.

En Schõnhauser Allee hay una excelente cerveza - pub y restaurante que ofrece una muy buena oferta de comida y bebida y está en una de las mejores zonas para probar cerveza artesanal. El interior de Schankhalle Pfefferbergs es magnífico, con una bonita decoración y muebles y un montón de accesorios interesantes y características relacionadas con la cerveza. La cerveza - hervidor de agua y equipo aquí están en exhibición prominente y fue una alegría visitar aquí. Visitamos aquí temprano en la noche y en nuestra visita fue extremadamente ocupado, que es como a mí y mi hermano gemelo nos gusta pubs / bares y restaurantes, ya que hay un mejor ambiente cuando los lugares están ocupados. Cuando visitamos aquí tuvimos unas copas de cervezas magníficas que eran excelentes y tenían un precio razonable. Es una excelente cerveza - pub y restaurante que está en una excelente zona de Berlín y es un lugar que vale la pena visitar. (Estas son mis primeras reseñas de Schankhalle Pfefferberg). Everything great. Beer delicious. The IPA is not my cup of tea. The red ale and the wheat were very tasty. :)

Brewery on site but i’ve never had beer this bad in Germany. ‘Tropical ipa’ was brown, oxidised and sour, wheatbeer had a sour smell and did not taste great, pils was the ‘best’ out of the bunch but also nothing special. Can not rate the food as i was there only for drinks but avoid ordering the homebrews.

Vi har prøvet at få bord her mange gange, uden held. Idag lykkedes det. Dejlig øl, men maden var virkelig ret kedelig, burgeren var overkrydret med røget paprika, saucen til den stegte blomkål smagte af absolut ingenting. Hurtig servicering, det var virkelig dejligt at få sine drikkevarer hurtigt, men køkkenet havde måske en ferieafløser på, så det varer nok lidt inden vi prøver igen.

Interesting concept, free choice of tables, but all tables occupied. I couldn't rate the quality like that. PS: if your colleague sends you away because all the tables are supposedly full (there were 5 people sitting at one table outside) and an hour later you still find empty tables, that's quite a statement. Yes, we only wanted to drink 1-2 beers, which is what we told our colleague, but that's probably not quite the concept of your "tavern"...

Food is good, but you don't fall off your stool. The location is therefore more of a reason for the subtly exaggerated prices. Unfortunately the service wasn't very attentive at times.

We celebrated our wedding here and were very happy and thrilled. The location is simply beautiful, the planning worked great, every contact was very friendly, the service is great and the food and drinks are simply extremely delicious. Our guests felt the same way, which made us really happy. Many thanks again to the entire team.

You really have the most miserable staff. That's quite an accomplishment for Berlin. As someone who used to support your business frequently and won't be doing so in the future.

It was a nice location for two drinks after work. Weather cooperated so we were able to sit outside. Staff could have been a little quicker, but the restaurant was also busy. Therefore everything is ok and acceptable.

hier kann man von rustikaler Brauhausküche richtig satt werden - und dazu ein herrliches, hier vor Ort gebrautes Pils oder Ale zischen. Auf der Speisekarte stehen Klassiker wie Schnitzel, Burger, Currywurst, Brettljause oder Entrecôte. Vor allem die Biere haben uns super geschmeckt!

The three of us each had two courses and dessert to share. After we were seated the waiter apparently had to go and have a smoke...! We smelled this and were left sitting without drinks or at least water for a good 5 minutes. When the main courses were served, one dish was served incorrectly, no apology or at least a coffee on the house! The (restaurant manager)'s justification for the significant errors in service was, and I quote, "We are an inclusive business and the guest has to take that into account!" Sorry??? The nice gentleman behind the bar, who turned out to be the master brewer, just laughed, but at least apologized when leaving the restaurant! Never again, like again!

Everything was perfect at the Pfefferberg bar when we visited last night. We had 3 different main courses, a starter and a greeting from the kitchen and everything was very good without exception. The service was nice and attentive and the location is a small, quiet gem in the hustle and bustle of Berlin's busy streets.

Wir sind zufällig auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen und haben das industrielle Ambiente genossen. Der Braumeister hat uns engagiert über die diversen Bierangebote informiert. Das Bier war dann auch sehr lecker. Beide Gerichte (Schwarzer Heilbutt und Havelländer Apfelschwein) waren großartig. Das Personal war supernett und hilfsbereit.

I can't comment on the food, but the drinks and the accompanying drinks are appropriate. The staff makes a very nice impression.

A wonderful evening, a relaxed atmosphere, a committed team, delicious beers and a whole lot of different food. The spent grain sandwiches - unbeatably good. We say thank you and would like to come back.

We had a reservation for 19.30. Had to wait 10 minutes before our table was ready. We then waited 30mins trying to order a beer but couldn't get any attention from the waiters. We left without getting anything. Pathetic service, cannot recommend.

The prices were very high for the food. A schnitzel (1-2mm thick veal! the rest was dry breading) for only €25, the 10cm pan!! with 5 small sausages 13€ and the best was the goat cheese 6cm for 16€. The waiter only came after we had registered and then brought an expensive €5.50 beer. In addition, my schnitzel wasn't really warm, far from hot. Don't have to go there anymore.

The food was good, but unfortunately not very good. The menu is clear with German cuisine. There are the classics. The Brauhaus pan is a small pan. But I was made aware of it. The schnitzel and the goose leg were also good. The shop is very cozy, but the door feels a bit drafty in winter. The service was one of the best. Very attentive and very kind. The prices are ok.

We celebrated our wedding here and it was the perfect celebration. The food was great (vegetarian snack buffet), the service was fantastic and the location was simply beautiful. We felt incredibly comfortable and danced until the night. Price-performance ratio was unbeatable for us. Many thanks to the entire team at Pfefferberg for our unforgettable evening.

Friendly restaurant. But a little expensive for what's on the plate.

Nice restaurant, but definitely too expensive for the service provided. Nobody gets full without an appetizer. Meat is more chewy than tender, fish is more dry than juicy.

Wirklich toller Ort und Location. Der Service allerdings äußerst langsam, teilweise zu schroff. Zum Bierchen trinken okey. Das Essen liest sich recht gut auf der Karte, scheint fein durchdacht von den Komponenten- die Ausführung war für mich eher Mittelklasse. (Wie so einfach nur zack, zusammengeschustert, weil vermutlich an der Planung nicht beteiligt). Ich war nur 2x dort.

Das ist lächerlich. Wir haben es nicht einmal geschafft, ein Bier zu bestellen. Der Ober hat uns so lange warten lassen, bis wir endlich rausgegangen sind.

We had dinner here for our first wedding anniversary. Food was tasty. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed.

Die Mini-Vorspeise - Ziegenkäse - hat zwar geschmeckt, war aber von der Menge her und für den Preis von 16 Euro eine Frechheit! Das animiert leider nicht für einen erneuten Besuch.

Biertasting auf Anfrage - absolut empfehlenswert. Biersorten sind 4-5 vor Ort, allesamt frisch gezapt und deliziös. Reihenfolge zum Trinken folgende empfehlung: Weizen (groß), pils (Groß), schwarzbier (klein), flower Power (groß), dann wieder Pils bis zum Ende. Das Personal: 11/10

Awesome burger (Turmle) and awesome steak (Rind)! Magnificent desserts! Masterpiece food (both in appearance and taste). Definitely a recommended place for a dinner! We will come back ;)
