Service (Chris) was excellent (attentive, friendly, fast). We had overlooked the offer, and he pointed it out to us when we placed our order and "rebooked" it accordingly.

Hamburg is a city whose very name is linked to the word "Hamburger", and as one might expect, there are numerous good burger establishments throughout the city. Amongst these, I recently visited Peter Pane, a restaurant that provides a rather satisfying experience. What makes Peter Pane stand out is a combination of elements: the food is genuinely tasty, the restaurant itself is clean and well-kept, and the interior design is also quite appealing, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. The restaurant space appears to be quite large, which often means that whilst making a reservation might not always be strictly necessary, there is usually ample seating available. Upon ordering drinks, they are prepared freshly at the central bar area and then brought directly to your table. Turning to the food, the burger patties are particularly noteworthy. They possess a good, rich meaty flavour that comes through well. The accompanying chips (fries) are also prepared excellently – achieving that desirable crispness on the outside whilst remaining tender in the middle. Their appealing golden brown colour suggests they have been fried at just the right temperature. The overall balance of flavours in the meal feels well-judged and harmonious. If you are in Hamburg and looking for a high-quality burger experience that lives up to the city's historical association with the dish, visiting Peter Pane would be a good choice.

Oh ha... If I didn't know that other stores were better I wouldn't recommend it! The barman was annoyed, the kitchen focuses on keeping things warm and clean... The guests who come there regularly were probably used to it, but the food was definitely too cold for us! The cheese just doesn't melt at that temperature...

Good morning! Great food - especially the lunch menu was worth it for us. The mood got better and better as the lovely waiter Zac put us in a good mood with his funny sayings. You are welcome to go there (also important: the interior is the prettiest of the restaurant chain that I have had the pleasure of seeing so far)

We showed up with 24 people registered. We chose the dishes on site and what can I say: the staff were completely relaxed and quick. We quickly ordered and received the first drinks. The food was ready a short time later. It tasted very good, everyone was happy. From vegetarian to beef, it just fit. Service attentive but not intrusive. Ambience nice. It was a very nice evening in a great restaurant, thank you very much.

Great service, very high quality food and the location is very impressive

My girlfriend and I spontaneously came to Hamburg from Hanover to see a musical and we spontaneously decided to eat there. The premises were clean and tidy, the decor was very modern with lots of natural aspects and the fact that the building was an old sports hall made it all even more interesting. The food selection was very extensive, good selection of meat and vegetarian options, drink selection was also very good. The only criticism was the long waiting time, despite the low occupancy during our visit, the service was a long time coming. Nevertheless, the visit is recommended, the food alone makes it worth the wait.

Large restaurant with plenty of space Some of the benches are positioned in such a way that you sometimes sit back to back with the person at the next table. I don't think that's a good idea. Also, if you have bags and a jacket with you, there's no room at the table to put them down. Unfortunately, service is very disorganized throughout the restaurant. It's hard to distinguish between waitresses and regular customers because they don't wear uniforms. 👎🏻 After we placed our order, the drinks were delivered very quickly. Unfortunately, we had a very long wait for the burgers 🍔. And we didn't have any elaborate dishes. Sometimes guests at the table next to us received their food much earlier, even though they entered the restaurant after us. The burgers were delicious; we had a smashburger, among others, which was very tasty. All in all, the restaurant visit was okay. We'll be back. They need to work on and improve the little things.

One of the burger shops as we now know them, solid food with a large selection, a bit noisy from the ambience, which spoils the coziness, service was slightly overwhelmed when we visited with a larger group when it came to ordering and assigning, but that's not necessarily what you expect. Good for a casual and relaxed evening with friends.

We were there with 4 adults and 3 kids, the food was delicious (some of us for the first time), the ambience was great, the music was maybe a bit too loud ;). We'll be back next time we visit Hamburg!

As usual, always recommended. MA weren't very on their toes and you had the feeling that more tables and chairs really wouldn't work - hence a star deduction.

One of the best restaurants I've ever visited. A welcoming atmosphere, clean and designed with love down to the smallest detail. The service was warm and attentive. The menu is not overloaded, very clear and beautifully designed. The food was to die for. In terms of taste, all the ingredients are perfectly balanced and brought to the plate with love. The prices are absolutely justified for these high-quality dishes. I am a trained chef myself and have been in the kitchen continuously for 26 years. Food and ambience were great. Thanks for that. Unfortunately, service was extremely poor. We waited forever for two salads. I just wanted to ask briefly whether our order might have been forgotten. At first I was more or less ignored. When someone finally responded to my point, I was literally shouted at by the staff and reprimanded that the kitchen still needed it. I've never experienced anything like that. Then I noticed that the people behind us came later and were already eating their burgers. The waiter meekly said "Yes, I know" and only then did he hurry up and bring us the food straight away. One could also have said in a normal tone that the kitchen is currently overwhelmed. When we paid, we waited forever, as if we didn't want to collect any money.

Always tasty and nice service. There are lots of vegan options and the kids love it too. Sauces for free on the table (mayo, ketchup etc) Delicious lemonade and the burgers are always very tasty too. Plus, crispy thick fries, very good! Sometimes a bit sloppy service. But always very nice

Beautifully designed restaurant and delicious burgers, large selection. Price level a bit high. Burger without side dish approx. 16-25 euros, side dishes approx. 7-8 euros. To fill yourself up, you should budget 25-30 euros plus drinks.

This is still the nicest Peter Pane restaurant in Hamburg. We were already enthusiastic about it in 2016 and none of it has been lost in 2025.

Very good up until the beginning. The burger (chicken) was a bit dry, but I saved it with sauce. The fries were great, and the Coke was unrefrigerated.

Went to Peter Pane today and ordered a chicken burger with a Coke. The burger was really tasty - the chicken was juicy, the sauce was well balanced and the bun was pleasantly soft. The portion was just right. The only negative point: The Coke was unfortunately only room temperature and could have been colder. The service was friendly and the food was served quickly. But overall a very good experience. 4/5 stars.

It was a good burger, there is variety of sauces and the ambient is pleasant. However, the tables could have been better served. for example cutlery and tissue were missing from our tables, waiters should constantly check and make sure all of the tables have the necessary items.

Top location in the middle of St. Georg, absolute feel-good atmosphere, very good and delicious food. The children's menu with a drink, side dish and dessert is particularly great. Unusual burgers, large selection of vegetarian and vegan burgers! Gluten-free buns would be great! Only criticism: Cleanliness of the tables, just wipe them again before the next guest is seated :)

We visited as a group of 8 people after work and liked the ambiance a lot, service was quick and efficient. We were served with a smile. However, burgers tasted mediocre (if not bad) which was a bit of a shock to all of us. Fries and drinks were quite good but still not enough to recover very unimpressive main course. Still very recommendable restaurant if you know what to have and what to avoid :)

Food is fantastic, when you get it. We waited 45 mins to order. Waiter was there at the start then disappeared! They were friendly, but it was too slow. The atmosphere was amazing though.

It's been a while since I've been to Peter Pane. Now on Sunday I had dinner there again with a friend. Both of us were extremely disappointed with the quality of the meat. Dry, completely cooked, tough... (It was probably frozen...) Not what a burger pattie should be. Actually made from fresh minced meat, fried medium/medium-rare and juicy. That was absolutely not the case. Even the patties at McDonald's are better quality. I will therefore avoid the store as much as possible in the future or use the vegan/vegetarian options. I can't recommend the burgers with meat! There are many shops in Hamburg that use fresh meat and these shops are in the same price range... So maybe reconsider your recipes...

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience. Meal lasts about 1 hour. where it wasn't full. Then the wrong food was served. No new questions were asked about drinks or whether you would like anything else. A drink was promised for everyone for the wrong meal, unfortunately to no avail. You didn't get to pay either, you had to go to the waiter and there was only one, well, sorry. Don't ask for compensation or anything but a tip. Never ever. Food was ok but service was shit. Then it's better to go diagonally across from Fr Möller. Mega delicious and top service, even when it's understaffed and the house is full.

Liebes PP-Team, bin gestern nach Längerem mal wieder bei Euch gewesen. Schöner Platz, guter Service, Kulinarik in Ordnung. Wir hatten zweimal 'Peter's Mittagsmenü' für je 9.90 Euro. Dann kam die Rechnung. Nicht über 19,80 wie zu erwarten war, sondern über knapp 54,-- Euro. Die Preise für die Burger (15 und 19 Euro) kommen hinzu. Das 'Pluszeichen' habt Ihr schön versteckt in der Speisekarte. Das ist beschämend und diskreditiert Euch leider zutiefst. Wenn ich bereit bin mittags für einen Burger, Pommes, Saft und Kaffee 30,-- Euro zu bezahlen, muss ich nicht bei PP auf der Holzbank sitzen. Schade! Stefan aus Hamburg
